holy fuck im so happy. even though im super annoyed how they keep throwing a bunch of really good ideas for relationships and plot in the trash- im just so happy with what we got. 

OK FIRST EPISODE 9??? THE ANIMATION WAS SO FUCKING GOOD AND I HAD TO PAUSE BECAUSE WHEN WESLEY WAS FLAILING IN THE SEA, IT WAS DAMN smooth and pleasant to watch, as morbid as it sounds lol. that whole scene with the comic-esque vibe was so so pleasing. 

and that whole episode was super like, sad but funny. i literally stood up and yelled when Mr. B was getting near the edge. like i probably woke up every single one of my neighbors in like.. a 50 mile radius it was that bad im so fucking annoying about this show.

tiger’s clones aren’t clones, they’re actually ghosts or bhuts (vengeful ghosts from hindu folklore!) they’re all deceased family members that ended up possessing his body when he was younger cause he went upon their resting place unknowingly. and they’ve just followed him ever since. he’s managed to work out a kind of agreement that if they promised to behave, they could stay within his lil gem headspace.

the water gem is called Lahar, the snow gem is Sardi and the grass gem is Gaiya. they still care about tiger despite their circumstances, but death hasn’t been kind to their minds. sometimes they get out of hand, and that’s when problems arise for not only tiger but other boxers involved.

and that'd also explain why he's so nonchalant with them; they're his family members. when death decides to not torment them, i can see them being almost like,,, yknow family. you know that intermission cutscene right before the next round where they're all talking and great tiger tells them they gotta get back to work?

also,, idk if i want to be sad and think abt the possibility how great tiger had a strong bond with his family members before they died, but if that's the case i would imagine that's how great tiger copes; he pretends they're still alive, in that case.

I feel like the reason Joan feels odd this season is because she actually feels very passionate about stuff? Like off the top of my head the only times I remember seeing her very emotional was over Abe, not being allowed to play baseball, anything with Cleo, and the snowflake day. Like, all those time where of anger or yearning so seeing Joan happy/motivated is…..odd.

started playing 13 sentinels. Gonna liveblog/note take for it. SPOILERS

I did watch some like a year ago before buying the game so i know some spoilers and that it's nuts but I'm missing a most of the pieces. But wow first cutscene sets up time travel, kurabe used to be izumi and is missing his memories, and the mental effects of piloting. Oh hey shiba's in on the conspiracy. "Okino's code" ... That name sounds familiar, shiba's the handler.

Gouta and kisaragi are piecing things together, he was in the intro too. Ah all these events are out of order. Fuyusaka's prologue? Ch1 is first, then kurabe's, then the intro/battle where hijiyama shows up in what gouta calls okino's machine. Huh 13 and 15 are gen 2, and 12 is gen 1.

Wahoo "1944". Oh right okino there was something else too im forgetting... Well thats true of everything in this story. G1s are mobile.

Girl think shes's in an alien movie. Hmm 2064. Where's 2024 if its every 40 years. Wonder if the men in black were actually after robot or if they were there for sekigahara. I remember miura being my favorite.

There's 2024 and that helps explain kisaragi. Alien invasion begins in 2024 and has juro has lost by another future point 2064?. Im assuming morimura took kisaragi and yakushigi with her to 1984. Ah deimos code is a relic of an ancient civilization says the incredibly sus cat trying to manipulate the highschooler.

Respect for amaguchi who wants a girl who will beat him up. Shikishima... the company okino infiltrated and leaked sentinels to who then used that tech to become big.

Morimura with her hair down looks a lot like an older fuyusaka. Ok ok morimua and amaguchi brought sentinels from future to 2024 to fight initial wave of deimos which is how juro got there they then sent kisaragi, him, and yakushiji (maybe more?) Even further to 1984. Oh morimua isnt shifting, flat out older and younger versions. And amagichi here is going by ida where have i heard that. Probably not just a dream.

Ah the amnesia and multiple names game. There's too many women with wavy blond hair in this game the dead one in sekigahara's prologue also looks like morimura. Oh hey it is morimura and she's on the shikishima weapons dev team i vaguely remember that. She and the men in black have orders to kill, so they're all probably from shikishima.

I am notoriously bad at real time games and timers stress me out but at the same time I think the tutorial has successfully taught me how basic combat works.

Tutorial over! Starting with kurabe

It is interesting how they do these repeating events, trying to see if i remember the twist correctly. Like last time megumi was prohibited from interacting with juro. Damn it time passes while considering. So according to the dream fuyusaka is morimura and yet juro doesnt recognize the nurse. They bombed a place to stop interstellar development. Its hard to tell how much of izumi's memories actually are gone and how much are being purposefully erased since everytime juro remembers something shiba reports it and he gets wiped. In relentless nightmare older juro/izumi claims the nanomachines used to operate sentinels are what calls deimos and he calls amaguchi, ida. Definitely a different iteration since this time yakushiji is from 2024 but the other were from 1984 and they looked to be in like 2065, but they say juro shifted from the past. Oh hey fuyusaka and morimura show up in the same scene there. Was thinking about how older fuyusaka uses the identical model to morimura.

Well i got locked out so on to fuyusaka. Interesting how for her dream she recognizes morimura as herself and yeah clones or alternate selves or something. And we have at least one start date 2089 as her birthdate. And the boy fuyusaka recognizes as amiguchi is labeled tetsuyu ida in the game. Oh this is the aftermath of that other scene where ida is forced to abandon morimura, shift without her, and told to tell her younger self everything. Which mean that scene took place after izumi killed a lot of people before being taken down by morimura who was only able to save ida. Oooh so ida is the sumire bridge boy, I am connecting so many dots. Scratch that first part izumi murder scene is in 2065 but bridge is 2089 and ida time travel is unknown "judgement day" game has it at 1985 which is when amiguchi dreamed it but dialogue says its 16years after sumire bridge.

Ancient aliens. Damn you "history" channel. Well the giant buried ufo tech (aegis im guessing) that deimos is going after is similar to modern human tech. The kaiju coming in contact with the mainframe started a countdown whatever that means. Rewatched sumire bridge because something was bothering me and yeah how did they both come from 16 years in the future if the future ida came from had an older morimura. Wait unless this morimura takes the slow route back and the time loop isnt stable. Oh is this ufo scene morimura? So maybe aliens maybe ancient invaded and destroyed the world, and okini, izumi, and morimura found a teleporter in a ufo below the city which sent her 16 years into the past she stayed there so that when 16 years passed again she sent ida to her younger self who had just timetraveled. Or 3rd option is that the judgement day scene implies morimura and ida shifted prior to that so who knows what time they actually are from. And all this is under the assumption that this is all one iteration. Afterall there seems to be multiple apocalypses and the world can only end so many times. Theres the destroyed city of 2065 but also 2105 with the ufo scene and both times deimos invade.

I actually wanted to do hijiyama and amiguchi first but both were locked and i want to do all the open ones first. Eh natsumo next. I'd probably be connecting a lot more dots if i memorized everyone's name and sentinel number but eh i always was bad at remembering things. Okino used miura to spread data whatever that means, not ominous at all

Sekigahara. Night before the 2064 battle. Ok this is definitely the least comprehensible conversation. Already its morimura and ida who have alternates identities/clones or whatever that deal is. And with the talk of sectors. Sector 1 is the far future? I cant tell if this is actual time travel they are talking about or if this is already the iterations. I'm guessing before? Because morimira talks about closing the loop? I'm grasping i dont know whats going on. No closing the loop means no more shifting and doubling down on sector 2 aka 2064 so they are already into the iterations. Juicy, ida is using sekigahara to go behind morimura's back and mess with the sentinels. According to ida operation aegis would hack and activate the "ufo" mainframe defense, deactivate the timemachine, and destroy the flow of time which would leave them the only them ones left in a world of chaos whatever that means i wonder if thats the purple destroyed world of 2065 and hey isnt that what we're doing in the battle segments.

What the hell is up with tamao she's having weird dreams too that gotou is supressing with medication that messes with her memory and makes her feel sick, and she's connected to so many characters. Awfully convenient that she's out for the month. Same with the house the blueprint build doesn't have the dent, baby chihiro put it there and it only exists on the 1945 sector's house. That then begs the question where in the miura of 1984? Or does he not exist and there is only ever 1 of each of the 13 in all the sectors at any given time.

Takamiya: oh ida's here. Forgot about morimura earlier too. Wonder what happened to the other miura then, probably dead. *Sigh* all the characters are getting paired off, I actually liked it when it was just a few but looks like everyone is getting paired off which im not fond of. Also let yuki and natsuo be lesbians. Wow ida is slimey the implicit threat of yeah we can move your dad to a safer facility if you cooperate but also we know he's going to get killed and arent going to lift a finger to save him. Siu thats a federal security agency right? Ah so ida and siu hmm perhaps not opposed but on a different agenda to shikishima, morimura is with shikishima. Interesting because in one of the dream scenes ida and morimura were working together. Why does eirika aiba have the same sprite as tamao. Ida was using shinonome's crush on him to use her as a pawn wow slimey or at least some version of ida and shinonome. And what looked to be an older shononome monologued about destroying humanity. Hmm so deimos could be terraforming robots that og? Shinonome reprogrammed. All sectors will fall into a never ending loop... As learned in miura's prologue the sectors were originally fledgling space colonies or their precursors. Shinonome cant function without the pills but the more she takes the more memories she loses. At first i just thought yuki was just attracting lesbians but eirika is getting more sus by the minute.

I already liked kisaragi from her cameos in the others stories but damn 30 seconds into her prologue and i love her. She finds joy in the unique experiences her circumstances have put her in while also realizing she'd being corraled and scheming to get leverage for herself. The shikishima logo inside the kaiju yeah... Terraforming robots as confirmed earlier but now i know shikishima was behind the interstellar project of 2188. Still not sure what the deal was with the two kisaragi's implied by miwako's account.

omg hii ty for tag srry i didnt see this earlier hehe. anyways umm uhhh here we go :3

1. A Silent Voice - it just makes me so damn emotional. i watch it whenever im not doing too well cuz it reminds me that change is possible ig. life has its ups and downs and ur not forever doomed if u made a mistake. kinda taught me to be less harsh on myself. ive always been bad at accepting ive been an asshole in the past and actually apologizing, but im working on it. i used to separate myself from people since a lot of people avoided me, and it wasnt until the beginning of high school that i might be the asshole here, and not them. ive been exploring myself a bit more now, being more accepting, trying not the start old bad habits again, and really really trying my best to improve. and i think it’s really paid off. i feel like im surrounded by such wonderful, supportive people now, and im really thankful for the people who made me realize my mistakes and help me fix them. oops accidental half vent hehe but yeah that movie really makes me think about all those things :,)

2. Up - oh my god. it’s just so beautiful. the storytelling in the opening scene is beautiful. despite there being no words, you can fully understand an entire lifetime of events. you can tell the ups and downs of their lives just through lighting and emotion. kinda crazy. anyways, that’s just one part, so enough about that. yk, one of my fav tropes is literally found family, soo, obviously i love up. and putting that new found family over something that you’ve been looking up to your entire life and sacrificing that dream? mwah. i love it. and also, talking dogs!! flying house!!!!! like, when you really think about it, it’s actually really random. but it doesnt feel random. i never once questioned it. it’s just… neat! and i love that

3. How to Train your Dragon 1 + 2 - grew up with httyd since the age of 4 or 5. i remember when the second movie came out, and i was begging for the dvd the instant i heard about it. my mom surprised me with it one day after school, and i began watching as soon as i got home. ive always just been a huge fan of dragons (though i wasnt a wings of fire kid) and i’d draw them literally everywhere. i even made a tiny clay toothless! the movies themselves are gorgeous. hiccup’s journey is not just about gaining toothless’ trust, but also his whole friends and family. it took him a lot of courage to go against berk’s norm of slaying dragons, but the end result turned out extremely satisfying, clearly worth the struggles and sacrifices he made along the way. also, it kinda is found family. and httyd 2 was just pretty cool, man, i dunno. showed that berk wasnt the only threat to dragons, and that not everything was just instantly sunshine and rainbows. shit can still happen. life’s rough, man. now hiccup has to deal with responsibility and maturity. and also hiccup’s mom is my fav character she’s literally sooo cool. ig im not that emotionally attached to the 3rd film. i also found it odd that they just.. left. even though the movies r about dragons. i usually do like bittersweet endings, but i dunno, just wasnt a fan of this one. that’s just my personal opinion tho :]. but yeah httyd 1+2 r my fav movies of all time probably. just not my #1 COMFORT movie.

4. Star Wars 1-6 - starting with the originals (cuz i have more to say about the prequels), i just think they’re cool! i mean, this innocent little guy suddenly just got thrown into a bunch of space war stuff and now he’s gonna beat up his dad and shit which is absolutely bonkers but in a /pos way. loss of innocence is also rad lime damn we get to watch this dude learn and stuff. also they’re just pretty iconic and i respect them cuz they’re classics yk. ok anyways the prequels i love them yes rots is my fav sw movies and you cant stop me. i love clone wars too and i love researching about the history of the jedi and stuff like that. watching anakin and obi-wan develop as characters and the comparisons/contrasts of how they react to different situations really just intrigued me. even from the start, you can tell how they’re completely different people, and that a betrayal was pretty much bound to happen. i also love shakespeare heheh

5. Ratatouille - oh man. hear me out. there is just something so simple and calming about this film that makes me happy. ok first of all i love france and it’s pleasing to look at and the aesthetic is nice lol. ok anyways so remy is literally the coolest guy ever. takes risks, even if it means he’ll be looked down upon by his family. kinda reminds me of hiccup im ngl. except, instead of only his family not approving of his actions, neither does humanity. and hell, he doesnt even get the credit for the food in the end. but he doesnt even care, cuz he’s doing what he loves. he has people around him who love him, and that’s enough. it’s just so wholesome!!

6. Words Bubble Up like Soda Pop - IT’S CUTE. IT’S ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE. omg. as a person who’s also insecure about some parts of my body, it kinda hit hard. and it rlly shows how there r also gonna be people who genuinely appreciate those parts of you. this movie didnt have anything like really crazy going on, nothing huge, but that’s what i like about it. it was just kinda about life ig, and how to enjoy it. just a simple lil’ romance. also the art style is amazing!! the colors are so bright, but they dont disturb you at all. it’s just pretty! sometimes i’d pause the movie just to take in all the beautiful views. and i love how the line work looks, too. outlined shading is always cool. it’s actually what motivated me to focus on art more, and give me the courage to even consider going to art school and pursuing it as a career. aaa this movie just makes me so happy :]

7. Howl’s Moving Castle - to be honest, i had no clue what was going on when i watched this. but did i like it? YES. I WAS OBSESSED. the music still gets me soo emotional i love it. the whole story is kinda vague and wacky, which is something i really like actually. i havent analyzed it that deeply since it’s a bit more complex and i havent had the time to yet, but i believe it has something to do with self esteem/discovery which is a topic i like to see and explore in art or media. additionally, the way that war is represented in this movie is downright terrifying, as it should be. the smoke and fire on the dark landscape with giant ominous aircrafts filling up the sky genuinely looks pretty darn scary. this just shows how the art is so, so good at expressing emotions through mood and color and lighting etc. i love the art, man. i love all ghibli films’ art. it’s so damn pretty, and i adore how each and every landscape has a story/inspiration behind it

Little Miss Sunshine (2006) - my favorite movie of all time, easily. I have seen this SO many times

Rodrick Rules (2011) - we always get together for movie nights, and watch whatever movie we have in mind, and then after it’s over we put on rodrick rules and fall asleep on top of one another on the couch. good times.

Ouran High School Host Club - the very first summer I was old enough to stay home alone, I would wait for my mom to leave for work, and I would pull all the pillows off the couch onto the floor and watch Ouran over and over again, absolutely enchanted. To this day, it still never fails to make me so happy, I will cry to the ending theme like it’s nobody’s business. So, that’s the closest thing I’ve got to a comfort show I guess.

The Hangover (2009) - uh. no comment.

Into the Spiderverse / Across the Spiderverse - yeah yeah we’re all obsessed with it, I know. I watched the original a whole bunch of times, can’t wait til the 2nd part is out on DVD so I can watch it on repeat :3

Call Me By Your Name (2017) - listen- for the longest time, I couldn’t stand this movie. I thought it was boring and confusing as fuck, everything is all subtext. Then I read the book and got obliterated by it, (mainly due to strangely similar events occurring in my life at the same time?). I had a LONG phase with this book; my copy is well-loved and covered in highlighter. when I watch this movie, it takes me back to the best summer I’ve ever lived.

Mean Girls (2004) - I can probably quote this all the way through :/
