The lovely @mcnuggyy did a huge art meme for poly ships which can be found here. Since I can't art I settled on collaging the ones that worked and labeling them for the Caesar/Cornelia/Calpurnia OT3 that I've dubbed Triple C. If anybody would like to draw any of these for me I'd happily pay you.

Somewhere In Ape Heaven
Koba: I knew it, that Noa was a trouble maker from the start! Rocket: Don't look at me, Koba. He gets it from Caesar. Maurice: He was only trying to his clan back home safely Bad Ape: If other apes find out Noa protect a human female, they will shun and exile him. Cornelia: Not to mention he won't have a mate or a clan of his own. Koba: No, your great grandson had to FALL IN LOVE WITH A HUMAN! Caesar: (secretly enjoying the fact Noa chooses a human, but must keep up appearances even in the afterlife) NO! Everyone & Nova: (stares at him in surprise)

Beneath the Trees, You Are Not Alone
Chapter Three - New Eyes Tell Hard Truths
Chapter Two - Waking Up To Familiar Eyes
Chapter Four - A Chance To Catch My Breath
“… and so we settled here.” Maurice concluded, having just spent a good hour retelling me all that had happened in the three years since the moment Will and I had turned our backs and left Caesar in the woods.
The tale was long, and fill of tragedy in the beginning. I was very sad to learn that Buck was not the only death. But it ended well, with the gorilla’s constructing a wall, this place now safe for apes.
Winters were hard, for everyone of course, but they had learned to preserve food and stock up.
I was so relieved to see Maurice was doing alright. I had been worried for him and the other orangutans and gorillas. As primarily fruit eaters, they would struggle in a forest environment not like their birth lands. But they seemed to not only be doing well but thriving.
“This is a good place. Safe.”
Maurice translated what I said for Rocket’s sake. I was not quite able to move my left arm yet, the bite mark aching when I tugged the skin.
I thought Rocket would never stop groveling, him and his mate, Tinker, having thanked me about a billion times already, them having brought me food and water like Caesar had said.
Tinker had eventually left, to check on the baby I had saved, Ash. I thought that would help, but he had continued to thank me.
It was still for a while, the fire crackling softly and the occasional sound of the apes below floating up to us.
Dinner was some berries, dried meat, and a potato that had been roasted. Slightly raw in the middle, but a better meal than I had had in months.
I had just a final bite of my potato left when Rocket raised his hands.
“If you thank me one more time, I’m throwing this at you.”
He huffed a laugh, Maurice hooting in amusement alongside us. “And you used to be so timid.”
I rolled my eyes at him, giving a warning brandish of my potato bite.
Rocket raised his hands once again and signed a simple sentence that had the food in my belly settling like a stone. “Why did humans hunt us?”
I swallowed, looking from him to Maurice and then out to the horizon.
From here, in Caesar’s nest, I could just make out the tops of the old city, the barest hint of international orange bright against the gray clouds.
I’d never thought about what I would tell Caesar, if I ever saw him again. Never imagined I’d have to tell him anything.
And I definitely never thought about sitting around discussing it.
But of course they didn’t know. They went into the trees and kept going. They didn’t have TVs, social media. They were probably relieved when the humans stopped coming after them.
“We know humans got sick, and they were fighting. And many left the city.” Maurice signed, the gestures caught from the corner of my eye.
Where do I start?
The gas was made in Gen-sys, the same gas Caesar used to make them smart enough for us to be in this situation. But it was so much more than that. It was Charles, it was baby Caesar, it was about family and the desperate attempts at playing God.
And, for three years, I had carried the weight of it. The disease would have gotten out no matter what happened that night, the first human already infected. There was no reason for me to feel guilty. But I couldn’t help but feel that if I had just stopped Caesar from infecting them that night, my parents might still be alive.
Taking a deep breath, I started at the beginning.
Charles, his disease, Caesar’s mother. I explained what I could, pausing often and trying to change the terms I used when Maurice did not understand, or when he needed to explain something in a more rounded way because signs did not cover it.
I revealed that the gas that made them smart, made humans sick. That was why they blamed apes, and while in the beginning it had been an attempt at control, hunting them then became a hope for salvation, and then revenge.
I spoke for so long the sun had set, shrouding us in shadows with only the firelight to cast eerie shapes across our faces.
Rocket and Maurice seemed horrified, stunned into silence and frowning at the floor of branches beneath them.
The figure that had been hovering in the corner of the room the entire time finally stepped out, moving to join our impromptu circle.
He looked just as shaken, hazel eyes darting about as he turned what I’d said over in his mind.
“Your… parents?” he finally spoke, looking at me.
I shook my head.
He opened his mouth but closed it and instead raised his hands. “Will? And Caroline?” he signed their names rather than ‘father and mother’, like he used to.
You’d think after Charles, I’d be a little better at telling him about his family’s passing, but instead all I managed was a choked “I’m sorry Caesar.”
Rocket and Maurice, sensing it was their time to leave, excused themselves, with a final ‘thank you’ slipping from Rocket as he stepped away.
Caesar and I sat in silence for well over an hour, my words answering so many questions he must have had, the answers not exactly what he had been hoping for, no doubt.
If he had any more questions for me, there were either too many to ask or he could not figure out how to ask them, so he remained silent.
When he’d had his time to think, to grieve, to understand, he raised his eyes to meet mine. “Must… rest.”
I was tired, eyes burning and drooping. My head had begun to ache again and my collar twinged in time with my heartbeat. And so, I did as he said and settled myself into the nest, huffing a laugh as he draped the animal pelts over me.
“Can you stay?” I whispered, the dark night heavy in silence, “Just until I fall asleep?”
I saw him think over the words, going through whatever it was that was on his mind, before making a decision.
I wanted to ask what had his attention, but I knew I would get no answers tonight.
He shuffled to sit near me, hand coming to rest atop my head and he settled just outside the nest.
I looked up at him, hoping to catch a glimpse of his eyes once more, but he kept them firmly locked on the darkness that was once our city.
Sleep came easily for me, and when I turned to roll over at some point during the night, his arms were wrapped around me, head resting between my shoulder blades.
---
I awoke alone, though I did not expect any different.
I also felt better, marginally. My head still pounded, and my collar bone was tight, the skin itching. Itching was good, it meant I was healing.
Rolling over, I found a bowl of fresh berries, a gord of cold water, and a bowl filled with cooling water and a cloth.
He’d heated water for me, so I could wash.
Blinking away the tears of gratitude, I soaked the cloth and ran it over my skin, careful of my shoulder.
So many scars, from simple mistakes to surviving dangers. I wondered if Caesar had any, hidden under the fur. Perhaps we could compare.
A soft grunt caught my attention, and I looked to the entrance of this home atop the tree, finding the female from yesterday hovering.
In her arms, fresh lamb’s ear and a rock with more green paste smeared across.
The stuff around her mouth was a mask. She was a healer, a doctor.
Holy shit. These apes were… incredible.
If there was still a human society to go back to, scientists would make millions studying them and publishing their findings. Though, scientists meddling where they shouldn’t is how we ended up here, isn’t it.
“Yes?” I asked, then corrected myself in sign.
The female stepped in, approaching me slowly.
“I will not hurt you.” I reassured. “You scared me yesterday. I am sorry for how I responded.”
She nodded, moving closer to me and placing the things down. “Eat.” she signed, though I was not sure if that was an order or a suggestion.
I did as she said, bringing the bowl to my lap and beginning to eat.
She started on my head, parting my hair with gentle fingers and washing out the old paste before applying the new, covering it with the leaves once again.
Then she moved to sit before me, and I tried to stay as still as possible while she worked, not eager to frighten either one of us again.
Below, several hoots sounded, and a general chittering followed.
“What’s going on?” I asked in a murmur, trying to see past her.
“The council is deciding if you may stay until you are healed.”
Now there was a council? Doctors, a leader, a council. It was like they were speedrunning evolution right before my eyes.
Crude medicine, spears as weapons, wood and twine used to build a safehold. Using the knowledge of the present, they were recreating the past, transitioning through phases of the development in mere months instead of the thousands of years it had taken us.
If I went away for a year and came back, what else would they have invented? A pyramid in the middle of the Muir Woods? A castle of stone? Carts and wagons?
Would the council evolve into a political regime, with laws and voting and a justice system?
Would they be like us, with false promises and stab one another in the back?
I could only hope they would be better.
More hoots floated up to us, agitated.
The female, mistaking my stunned silence of amazement as concern, signed once again.
“Many remember the kindness you showed us in the sanctuary, and your courage on the bridge. Most have spoken out in your favor.”
Her words didn’t mean much. I hadn’t planned on staying till nightfall anyway. The fact they were considering how long I could stay instead of if I could leave was kindness enough.
Being executed after surviving so much would just be a slap in the face though.
A soft whine left the female, or rather just behind her. But no one was there.
Reaching behind her, the kind ape brought something forward. Or rather, someone.
A baby, younger than young Ash who I had saved two days ago, blinked his eyes open slowly.
Bright, baby blue eyes looked up at his mother.
Every ape I had met so far had green, or in Caesar’s case hazel, eyes. Blue was new.
I was taken back to a memory of playing songs about hazel and emerald eyes on my guitar, the words still fresh in my mind as if I had learned them yesterday. I wondered if Caesar remembered the songs.
“He’s beautiful.” I signed, grunting a little at the pain.
She smiled at me, or I think she did underneath the mask, allowing the babe to begin suckling. “Blue Eyes.”
I thought she was just making a statement, but then realized she was telling me his name.
Little on the nose, but not inaccurate.
“Caesar fears he will not be like us.” she continued, stroking his sweet little head with such love.
Why would Caesar care? I mean, sure he was one of the apes, but he was just one baby.
Where the babies not changed? Was the gas not transmissible through birth, like his mother’s had been?
If so, that would change a lot of things. The next generation, the generation that would be growing and soon leaving their mother’s sides, would be every bit instinct bound and wild as the apes in Africa and Asia.
They would not survive winter if instinct drove them to search for food, rather than staying in the safety of this colony.
“I am sure he will be.” I reassured her, though it meant nothing.
“As future leader of the colony, I would hope so.”
Future leader? Caesar was barely twelve years old. Apes lived to be sixty. How could he already be choosing someone to succeed him?
And an infant at that.
Unless…
I studied the ape before me. She seemed familiar, but all apes looked the same until you spent a lot of time with them, noticed the small difference that made them stand out. And three years had past.
But she had said ‘us’ when speaking of the sanctuary apes, so she’d been in the facility with Caesar.
My stomach twisted, something dark settling in and sinking its claws into me.
“Who are you?”
The chimp looked up to me, a soft kindness in her eyes. “Cornelia. I am Caesar’s wife.” And then she looked down at the baby once more. “And this is his son.”

Sorry, but it's funny how when writing a fanfic x reader where the character has a partner in the canon, the writers choose one of two options
she died, i'm sorry
I didn't like the character so I'm replacing her with my oc/reader (I mean an idealized version of me)

Interviewer: “What is it like being part of Disney and having you and the apes living together with your enemies?”
*flashback to that one time Cornelia walked in on Caesar avenging her and Blue Eyes via fighting Colonel McCullough with lightsabers, Koba cheering for Caesar to get him, Blue Eyes completely ignoring it due to listening to the Tarzan soundtrack and loving it, Red and Rocket fighting over the last cookie, and Preacher clutching his crossbow as he prepares to ambush a Micky Mouse plush that keeps staring at him*

I went to Barcelona this past weekend to watch SIX, the musical, and since then I can't stop thinking about another version of it, but with Caesar's wives and mistresses.
Imagine Cornelia singing about how she was the only one to give him a roman daughter and the tragedy of her death; Pompeia singing about how he decided to divorce her because of the whole Bona Dea scandal; Calpurnia crying that he never listened to her; Cleopatra rapping how she was the most clever of them all and arguing with Servilia about who he liked best. And then, at the end, the king of Bythinia makes an appeareance and talks about how he made Julius his queen...
Bonus points if the House of Holbein is substituted for Caesar's soldiers singing about their general's sex life, leaded by Mark Antony.

That picture of blue eyes holding Cornelius but instead it his and his s/os kid. *melts from cuteness*
Gahdamn i am no better than a man. I'm supposed to be working on the customary series SH-
Blue Eyes had never thought it possible as he set his gaze on your breathing, sitting himself at the edge of the nest as he prepared to depart for a hunt with his Father, Cornelius, Ash and Rocket. Never imagined that you felt the same way that he did towards you, the year it took to even get you to look each other in the eye, followed by two more years of fruitless mating, something he bared through knowing it was a remarkable impossibility. But, upon rounding your third year together... He balled his hands into fists for a moment before he drifted his eyes downwards to the small ball of fluffed hair laying snugly against the animal pelt next to your head, tucked in so deeply and so warmly that Blue Eyes felt a bit jealous that he was about to throw himself into the cold of the morning, dawn right around the corner. Soft and shallow breathing. Blue Eyes was entranced by it for a moment and felt the tiniest of smiles split across his face at that. He turned to leave. Giving you one more glance, giving the small bundle one more glance, satisfied beyond comprehension.
--
'When will you bring... your child with us?' Ash signed to his friend, smiling rather smugly at him at the notion that Blue Eyes had succeeded in doing what he aimed to do. Breed you. Mate with you. Bear fruit with you. It left a pit of unturned pride in Blue Eyes' stomach as he made brief contact with his father's gaze, a huff leaving his nose as he shuffled his horse to the right.
'All they do is cry.' Cornelius groaned audibly, 'Keep family nest up at night.'
'Not able to hold head up like Ape young,' Blue Eyes explained as the five of them rounded the corner towards the embankment that lead towards the mouth of the Colony's border. He ignored his younger brother, full of nothing but complaints at his age. 'Very fragile.'
Caesar snorted at that to himself, though it was heard from the other Four Apes. He knew that to be abundantly true from his time with humans.
'Will take time.' The King of Apes signed at them, leading the pack with Rocket trailing behind with the bulk of the hunt.
Blue Eyes fell into a small silence at the thought that in only a few years, he'd be able to bring his own son, the one you had given him out of love and adoration despite the complications of the birth itself, to hunt with himself, Caesar, Cornelius... Family, he thought, looking over at Ash who was processing what was said, sliding back towards Rocket and nodded to himself. Yes. Family. Upon rounding near the Colony gate, Blue Eyes was able to see the back of your head and the knotted nature of cloth against your shoulder as you were shuffling young Apes around your feet to get them upwards towards Maurice for the afternoon lesson. He stared at you longingly, bringing his horse in a bit faster, trotting right passed Caesar and hurdled to a stop right next to you. You had heard the trotting in the distance, excitement hitting your chest at the fact that your mate was returning, safely, as you so often worried after his bear attack years ago. The sheen of the scars on his shoulder captivated your attention for a few seconds as you looked up at him with mildly-hungry eyes at the sight of him wearing his War Paint.
'Good hunt?' You signed with one hand, holding a small head against your chest with the other as you had strapped the baby to your chest in a very secure perch. You had no fur for them to hold on to, something that... Much like a Baby Chimp, your baby enjoyed doing.
Blue Eyes looked down at that action, dropping right off his horse and came to greet you without having to gaze down at you. Forehead pressed against yours swiftly as a greeting. Sinking into it, you let a small sigh leave your parted lips.
'Many elk.' He signed in return, bringing his hand upwards to place it against yours as you both cradled your small baby. 'Slept well, I hope. Timber up all night again.' Blue Eyes hesitated for a moment. 'Apology for leaving you all day.'
'No apologies, babies are always up all night.' You always gave him too much grace, Blue Eyes felt like he didn't deserve it at times. Your eyes fell to Caesar as he trotted in, giving you a not-so-stern glance. Five years ago had you thought about your father-in-law being the King of Apes would not have even crossed your mind. But, here you were. He was followed closely by his second son, then Ash and Rocket who went to greet their own family.
You looked down at the grasp that Blue Eyes had on your baby. So soft and gentle like he was afraid of hurting them. The cooed right against your skin in response to sensing their fathers touch, vibrating it gently as Blue Eyes brought his other hand up and cupped the back of your head to kiss foreheads once again.
'Want to hold?'
Blue Eyes did not speak or sign, only nodded as you were careful to untuck your baby from his warm homely nest against your chest, balling himself into a tight knit at the chill that hit him all of a sudden before he was incredibly wrapped into more warmth as Blue Eyes took him - all to gentle in his actions, into his arms, against his chest. Little fists found themselves balled into a thicket of fur. 'Gets bigger every day,' Holding his child in one arm, he used his free one to sign. 'Looks more like you as well.'
A blush hit your cheeks, "Well," You were speaking and leaned inwards to place a hand on your baby's head, twirling your fingers into the thick fur of his head, "I am their mother. I see more of you in him."
Blue Eyes looked down at them. Hazel eyes peered right back up at them, only now coming into their color rounding their 4th month of being here. He looked back towards you, a look of intent in his eyes that left your mouth flying open at the innate and undeniable implications.
'Just gave birth four months ago!' Blue Eyes only stared at you, leaning his head in suggestively, 'I am not getting pregnant again.'
Blue Eyes contemplated for a moment and offered, 'Practice?'
'Would Caesar and Cornelia feel comfortably watching Timber?'
"Can ask," Blue Eyes muttered quietly, finally giving you the taste of his voice that was all to rare, "Sure... They would... not mind watching... Grandchild."
