✧・゚: *✧・゚:* 🐬Jade and Floyd Birthday SSR flower analysis* 🦈 *:・゚✧*:・゚✧
*Again, I’m no flower specialist so these are all very subjective opinions. Take everything with a grain of salt! That being said, have an un-qualified ramble about flowers and eels:
Tumblr media
Let’s start with Jade, shall we?
Jade has no mushrooms in his bouquet :(
He does have purple and white roses – purple is associated with royalty and majesty but purple roses can be used to show someone you look up to them and/or value their opinion(s). Otherwise, they stand for success, elegance, and calmness (as well as peace and mysticism). White roses on the other hand mean loyalty, purity and innocence. In wedding bouquets they can also symbolize youthfulness, young love and eternity
For the purple ones at the bottom of his bouquet I’d say chrysanthemums which stand for thoughtfulness and care, as well as longevity, fidelity, joy and optimism. (They can also be mourning flowers you’d put on someone’s grave)
Then he has callicarpa japonica which i couldn’t find a specific meaning for but callicarpa generally symbolize dignity, preparation, seriousness and mourning
They both have silver ragworth which is used to symbolize transformation and forgiveness. It also is used to express trust in oneself and others so since they both have ragwort i’d say it symbolizes their trust in each other
Tumblr media
Moving on to Floyd:
Floyd has sea lavender which means sympathy and success but also lets the person you give them to know you miss them and are thinking of them*
I’ve seen some people say the big blue flowers are serrurias which have no real meaning but serurria florida is also called the “blushing bride” since traditionally it was given to a maiden/bride to show affection. The deeper the color of the flower, the deeper your affection, and (hopefully), the deeper the blush of the maiden. However, serrurias aren’t blue, and as far as I know of there is no blue variation either? Personally, I’m more inclined to say they’re blue proteas. Proteas symbolize courage and diversity and are associated with change and transformation. They also mean strength, resilience, and the power to survive practically anything
He also has what I think are blue lupins which stand for imagination, admiration, and overall happiness and symbolize a positive outlook that leads to the discovery of new opportunities
There’s also what might be baby’s breath. Blue baby’s breath symbolizes honesty and respect. It can also stand for loyalty, sincerity, confidence, wisdom, and faith. You’d typically give them to someone to let them know they can trust you
*Perhaps this has something to do with Floyd being separated from Jade (and Azul) in classes?
Either way, both Jade and Floyd have very cute bouquets, though I must say it’s a bit of a missed opportunity to have no aquatic or fungal flowers in their bouquets. The poisonous flower Jade wanted to give Eliza during the Ghost Bride Event makes no return either so sad times. Still, I won’t complain since we do get the tweels smiling and showing us their pointy teeth that totally aren’t a threat to anyone at all! :)
Anyways, feel free to let me know if I got anything wrong/what flowers I might’ve missed/if you think Jade will 'accidentally' smack Riddle with his broomquet and if Floyd will do so not at all accidentally!

A grapefruit bonsai, he's always cool and funky!
"alright! Now this is a party! What's up dudes, dudettes and dude entities, come in!"
A Calicarpa japonica bonsai, acts like Anteris the Greek god of unrequited love.
"STEP. AWAY. FROM. THEM. You've done enough damage... Now it's time to stop it once and for all..."
Rio Partisi(rio star, a variety of grapefruit, and paradisi, part of the scientific name)
Adrupodo(Adiexodo, a Greek punk band, and drupe, a notable part of the Callicarpa japonica)

Japanese Beautyberry
Callicarpa japonica is a deciduous shrub in the mint family native to eastern Asia. It is cultivated for its ornamental purple drupes in the fall, although often confused with very similar weeping beautyberry C. dichotoma which fruit more in large clusters. It is called murasaki shikibu in Japanese from old words meaning ‘multiple purple fruit’ and also referencing a female Japanese writer (970-1019) with the same name who wrote one of the world's first novels.
