I was wondering what the general biome your city is in is like. What’s the climate like in Neotropolis? Is it hot or cold? Does it rain a lot or anything? Also what country do you have it placed in? Any noteworthy natural landmarks nearby like rivers or something?

Bless you for asking this because I’ve been wanting to talk about the landscape of neotropolis -rubs my little hands together-

In terms of the general culture and scenery of Netropolis; think kind of like Big Hero 6 or Cyberpunk 2077 or blade runner; a sort of melding of western and asian cultures and people. Neotropolis takes place surrounded by the land of Arcadia there are multiple.. districts i guess is the right word? The story starts in Circuit Central; the most lavish and advanced area; think like sillicon valley- in fact, on the actual map of america (yes this does take place in a slightly altered america) it’s just. In California. Neotropolis 20XX is anti-california propaganda.

Besides this there’s also MIDI, the more run down and disenfranchised area of Neotropolis; not much beaides abandoned factories and landfills down there.

On the opposite side of Neotropolis there’s a city called Amiga but we don’t talk about that shhh. Only thing to mention is the mountain that overlooks it, Mount Ariga (teehee)

I hate the narrative in fanon that prompto is insecure in his friendship with the bros, specifically the concept of having a friendship.

when that's not the case at all.

prompto knows they're friends, he says it himself both in his dlc and the main game.

so the idea that prompto doesn't believe he could have a relationship with gladio or, as the most common, ignis is bizarre.

prompto is well aware of how they (gladio and ignis) act towards people they don't have a particular interest in, even more so to those that they don't like.

this is something that also goes hand in hand with fanon's portrayal of ignis and gladio, but that's for another time.

prompto does not strive towards friendship but rather to keep it, or more accurately to foster.

friends to lovers! because i feel like he needs to deeply understand someone before he dates them so he only started liking you a few years into the friendship (though he did always think you were cute)

also a guy who actually means it when he says he prefers personality over looks

i can see him as both the one confessing and the one being confessed to, i think it mostly depends on which of you is the braver one

expect museum/gallery dates, walks on the beach, picnics, stargazing, road trips, bike rides, library/bookshop visits and napping together

his primary love language is words of affirmation, with physical touch as a close second, for both giving and receiving

on top of the staring, he actually remembers all that information. probably knows you better than you know yourself

this boy has mastered the puppy eyes. he rarely uses them, but when he does, you will never win. sorry. he will be getting that kiss, those cuddles or that bit of attention when you should be focusing on something else

the type of person to send you tiktoks, memes, things related to your interests etc. and be like ‘this reminded me of you!’ or ‘this is so us!’

i think he’d be good at drawing because of the technical aspect, so he definitely has a whole sketchbook dedicated to just portraits of you

shared custody of his clothes. will hand you his coat if you’re cold, no questions asked, and doesn’t mind if you want to borrow one of his jackets to go with your outfit

helps you study if you struggle with it

has a guilty pleasure for teasing you and being a sarcastic little smartass. he loves it when you can’t think of a witty response, and how when you do, it turns into a fun little back-and-forth that he basically always wins

protective of you! holds your hand when you cross the street or walk in busy places, will help you stand up to someone if you need it, walks you to your door, texts telling you to/asking if you got home safe

will put a blanket over you when you fall asleep somewhere without one

doesn’t really get jealous, but when he does, he gets very clingy and insecure so make sure to give him lots of attention and reassurance!

anniversaries mean a lot to him! monthly small gifts during your first year together, then proper celebrations every year after. plans meticulously for at least a week, coming up with cute things to do that cater to your specific likes and interests

says ‘i love you’ frequently. coming from a household where it was the norm means he will take any and every opportunity to remind you that he loves you

always down to run errands with you! he loves to be of help but also loves spending time with you, even if it’s while food shopping or picking up the laundry

Columbo and the Knight (1984)

put me in the universe where Columbo ran through the 1980s and had a crossover episode with Knight Rider. I think they deserved it, and I am not just saying that because they're my two favorite Old Shows. @telebeast wrote a little fanfic blurb about it and I HAD to visualize it into a comic (which is also the longest comic I have finished thus far at five pages...), so writing credit goes to them.

i think the show is playing a smart game of chess here, getting each of our characters in the positions they need to be in. in the arch museum, percy almost tells annabeth that he'd choose her side over his dad's. we know in the books, that this is the sentiment annabeth gives percy in the zoo transport van.. but at the point that percy says this in the show, i don't think annabeth would be prepared to respond in kind. she's too loyal to her mom, to the systems she's learned to abide within. in order to get her to that point, she needs a reason to put percy first.

by making the echidna attack at the arch occur because athena got embarassed and upset about her daughter standing by while another kid made a decision.. and then having percy be the one to stand up and defend annabeth against the monsters that had basically come from athena at this point.. the show is giving annabeth that reason. athena will fight her. percy will fight for her. and now suddenly her character is perfectly positioned to choose percy.

what happens when you find a forgotten world of people that looked like you?

something about kinger being in the circus "the longest" and him still openly caring about the other members and striving to be kind to them makes me emotional actually.

like yes the scene where he comforts ragatha but also the "pomni, take this" scenes. putting a bucket on ragatha's head after jax's licorice-hair comment -- said in front of a monster that eats candy people. winning rock-paper-scissors and being so excited to get to help zooble. remarking "oh, thank GOD you're okay," when zooble gets ejected from the gloink queen. he can be a great source of comfort in his moments of lucidity, but even when he's not quite there, he really does try his best to protect his friends -- even if his efforts come across as goofy or nonsensical.

I find it especially interesting that these moments are really the only times he actively involves himself in the adventures. yes he makes a few comments here and there, but when he isn't trying to help someone, he tends to just let things happen around him. he's largely absent in most of episode one (mostly because he seems to be freaking out about his own safety -- and granted, we don't know whether or not he was just having an especially bad day, but I think it's worth noting) and he doesn't get involved with the adventure at all until he's told to find zooble. he's also shown to be very observant of the people around him, like how he accurately predicted that kaufmo had completely lost it, when no one else picked up on the signs.

more than anything, though, I think kinger's conversation with ragatha shows some of his philosophy when it comes to the other players. "it's a lot for anybody to go through; don't take it too personally," is likely a learned sentiment -- and consciously or not, I think he doesn't have any bad blood with the other members (see: kinger being the only one (from what we've seen so far) that jax doesn't actively torment) because he understands why they act the way they do and doesn't hold it against them. everyone copes differently, and like I said before, he's very observant, especially when it comes to the emotions of others.

and idk. I just think it's nice the longest standing member of the circus didn't survive this long by learning not to care.
