#Canada out of Nato

The political conversation around NATO is very fascinating here in Canada. For some reason, Liberals are convinced that Conservatives are anti-NATO, and I have no idea where this disconnect from reality comes from. Like, people tell me Trump is trying to leave NATO? No he threatened to ignore article 5 if a country isn't meeting the 2% GDP requirement (such as Canada). He's trying to threaten countries into increasing military expenditures, which conservatives here want to do anyway because they're desperate to steal more oil and gas. I mean hell, just listen to what conservative politicians directly say and they will strongly support NATO. Like, I get that there are some right wingers online who conflate NATO with antisemitic globalist conspiracy theories and that conservatives are placating this crowd, but like, they're always lying when they pretend to be critical of international organizations. Literally most of these "anti-WEF" Tories have been and still go to WEF events. They're just pandering to a hateful and potentially violent voter crowd that most other parties won't consider pandering to because they're desperate for votes in a country growing increasingly sick of them. Also they've never even pretended to be critical of NATO anyway.
I really feel like people need to listen more to what politicians are actually saying and doing and less to randos on the internet about what political groups are standing for, cause like, the only place where conservatives seem in any way anti-NATO is the overly online qanon conservatives who've probably never been to a party convention and only hear about politics from their evangelical pastors, and not like, Pierre Poilievre or Stephen Harper, people with actual political influence and decision making power.
For the record, Poilievre wants to bow to Trump and meet the 2% target (iirc another $20 billion) by cutting foreign aid (such as the recently restored UNRWA aid). So like, let that influence whether being anti-NATO is a right wing position or not.

New NATO members have Enthusiastic Nazi pasts, but then so does NATO
If it is true that the “Victors write the History” then one is left to wonder who actually won the Second World War. This may seem like a bizarre statement to anyone who, like me, was raised on the conventional history of WWII. That history unfortunately has been run through a forest of mirrors to obscure the truth. At this moment in time our lack of understanding the realities of that period…

People asked to drop the Danger Days tl from my last post so I’ll do that.
*Disclaimer: Not canon at all this is just my personal idea and take on like. How all that happened. Based on what they said in the videos and comics sort of.
*Disclaimer 2: I have not read National Anthem and I don’t care if this doesn’t line up with that.
Zones Timeline
1947:
- Cold War begins.
1987: Dr. D is born (hey legend).
1991:
- Cold War does not end.
1996:
- 1st Helium War starts.
- NATO and the Warsaw countries exchange declarations of war.
- Most of Eastern Europe is destroyed first, followed by the Middle East. Russia remains intact, as do a few Western European countries. Not including Great Britain or Germany.
- Other countries fall into isolation in fear of being the next targets of war, and either disappear into themselves or join pacts with one another. Some disperse entirely.
1997:
- America dissolves into civil unrest after attacks on the mainland result in various important political figures’ deaths.
- A number of American states cede from the nation and become The Confederacy of California, as per their secession being definitely illegal, and they take the states of California, Nevada, Arizona, and Wyoming.
- Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, and Texas are disputed.
- The rest of the states are assimilated into The Federal Republic of The United States, however they are in constant political battles between themselves because now everyone either wants out of the nation or they want control of it.
1997-98:
- Technology stagnates, but still advances. Just nowhere near as fast as it did in our lives.
1998:
- 1st Helium War ends.
- Cherri Cola is born.
- Tensions between the COC and the FRUS are high strung but not hostile.
- This is generally considered peacetime, if peacetime can be defined as you and the person you just fist fought in the bathroom being forced to sit next to one another in the principal’s office. Alone.
- A company specializing in chemistry and weapons manufacturing under the name of “Better Tech” rises in the COC and the FRUS.
2000:
- 2nd Helium War starts.
- Jet Star is born.
- War is declared on the FRUS by the COC, and various military campaigns take place in the disputed states.
- Better Tech supplies resources to both sides in a kind of double entendre situation where neither side knows they’re actually being played.
2001:
- Party Poison is born.
2006:
- Kobra Kid is born.
- Fun Ghoul is born.
- Helium Wars end when a series of nuclear bombs are dropped around the Rocky Mountains.
- The FRUS is never heard from again, and radio/electronic communication is disrupted by damage to the earth’s electromagnetic field.
- Better Tech rebrands themselves to Better Living Industries and gain influence over the COC government with the aim of salvaging the country and fixing the physical damage done by the war as well as the mental trauma of the citizens.
2010:
- BLi attempt to take control of Latin America but are flushed out by rebellion, and Mexico’s border is closed.
- Canada follows suit soon after, and America is officially cut off. Trapping everyone who remains there within the country (legally).
2012:
- Pig Bombs drop, eliminating Texas and New Mexico, whose governments were still kind of functioning independently after Helium 2 and building resistance against the COC.
- Fires of 2012 destroy Phoenix but leave Las Vegas intact. All remaining military units are pulled to Los Angeles.
- This is where BLi’s intense propaganda machine starts working to cover up all the crap they do. Working in tandem with how technologically challenged most people are at that point.
- BLi take what’s left of the lower 48 and establish Battery City as the new capital of America. Their borders define the nation as California, Oregon, Nevada, Utah, and Arizona.
- However, BLi becomes notoriously bad at maintaining and “cleansing” their proclaimed territories; and most of the area outside of Zone 3 sees little to no substantial BLi presence at all.
- Dr. Death Defying makes his first radio broadcast as a rebel.
2013:
- Analog Wars begin.
- Battle of Utah takes place wherein Salt Lake City is destroyed in a series of Killjoy v. BLi battles.
- Destroya was used for its first and only time during this battle, and was abandoned in Zone 3 during BLi’s retreat.
2015:
- Analog Wars pause after significant damages to both sides prompt an unofficial ceasefire, giving way to a long period of relative inactivity.
- BLi uses this time to build its presence in everyday life, establish the Zones, and advance it’s scientific research and development.
2028:
- The Girl is born.
- Girl’s mom is Drac’d
2029:
- The Girl is found by Killjoys.
- Analog Wars start up again when her existence is uncovered.
2029-35:
- These years see the most one on one fighting between kj factions and BLi since the Analog Wars first started.
- Generally remembered as a sort of Zones Renaissance due to the re-popularization of art, media, and philosophy within the killjoy community.
- Who had fractured off in the years after the armistice and became very detached from one another rather than a collective movement.
2035:
- The Killjoys die.
- Analog Wars officially end.
2036-47:
- The schools of thought built up during the renaissance period fade into the background once again as their figureheads either die off or become irrelevant.
- This is the era in which the Val Velocity era of killjoys grow up in. They were all born well after the Helium and Analog wars began and ended, so they have little to no connection to the values or customs of pre-war life.
- Its very Lost Generation-y in that everyone just kind of wants to party and forget about how their lives suck underneath all the glitter.
2047:
- California Comics events.
- Cherri Cola dies.
- Dr. D dies (rip legend).
- BLi is destroyed.

imo a deeply important part of Alfred’s personality I feel like I should see but rarely do is his desire to be left the fuck alone. yes of course he’s a social butterfly but let’s be real: throughout the entirety of US history, Americans have wanted nothing more than extended Salutary Neglect from beginning of the colonies and we still try to go back to relative isolation now- now as in today, as in America First, etc. I think it’s fucking engrained. Americans expanded via conquest and colonization until we only had to deal with two neighbors (or, if you want to be an asshole about it, one neighbor and Canada, so 1 1/2 neighbors) and a lot of people still bitch about not being isolated enough, we tried to keep out of both world wars, and in general we just kinda hate cooperating with others. one of the three main reasons for NATO’s existence is explicitly to keep the US from isolating and abandoning Europe again because boy do we fucking want to literally all the time.
so imo yeah Alfred genuinely loves socializing but his real passion in life is being left the fuck alone to do whatever hobby/business/productive thing he wants to do without being interrupted. this man has ADHD and just wants to hyperfocus in peace.

Please note that who gets to be "white" is contextual to the center of ethnic power in each region.
Dark-skinned people of Asian, African and Indigenous descent will never be white in any part of the world and will always be vulnerable to white skinned people of European descent. (Excepting the times Japanese and some East Asian peoples with an adequate lack of melanin have been granted conditional whiteness.)
However, Slavs, white Jews, white Latinos, white Roma (white skinned and associated with European origins) are fully white in places where they hold ethnosupremacy and achieve/are granted conditional whiteness of varying levels and privileges in the US, Canada, South Africa and other white settler colonies, and some parts of Europe (Jewish South African settlers had no idea what side of the apartheid fence they would fall until the white Afrikaners made clear they were accepted).
Whiteness in the Western world is also entirely in the purview of the imperial core's narrative. In the Western lens, Eastern Europeans eternally hover between the fact of being white-skinned Europeans and being Orientalised due to their histories as colonies of Russia and Ottoman empire and their shared heritage with Asia Minor. Even the narratives of the Holocaust erase the genocide of Soviet Jewry. (That's right, in Soviet Russia the Holocaust had nothing to do with Jews, which is why Putin keeps accusing Zelensky of being a Nazi). The US and Western Europe's manufacturing of consent for NATO's military alliance with Ukraine at the outbreak of its war with Russia involved efforts to elevate them to full whiteness that were routinely hilarious because demystifying and de-exoticising them (is that a word?) revealed the extent to which they had been Othered, paternalised and exotified (lots of "omg they're humans just like us even though they live in a shitty second world country" stories especially from the UK, ntm journalists parachuting in and seemingly being surprised they had McDonald's and internet access. You could not make this stuff up). You can contrast this directly with how much of a shit they don't give about Armenians because they're Russian allies, even though Armenians are literally white in the US. It's why I have to roll my eyes at the "they care about Ukrainians because they're white" discourse. That's entirely backwards— Ukrainians are white because NATO is invested in them. Otherwise they'd just be another former Soviet Republic up to their usual "savage shenanigans" like the rest of the Eastern Bloc.
You'd think you couldn't pull this same trick with non-Europeans, except that Apartheid South Africa deemed Japanese "honorary whites" (much like Nazi Germany proclaimed them honorary Aryans), and then, hilariously, the rest of the East Asians because they were so pissed off about it. White Australia otoh kept them stubbornly out.
Otoh, Islam is fully and irrevocably racialized (associated with the Middle East even though like...nevermind), which is why Bosniaks and Turks will never be given even conditional whiteness, European or not.
Whatever the geo-political hemisphere, under the global influence of white supremacy, the capacity for the casual public to empathize with a person recedes with the rise of melanin in their appearance. This is why abolitionists used white passing Black Americans to drum up support for their cause among Europeans, why more people will always empathize with white Eastern Europeans, why anti-blackness is its own creature and Black people are so universally dehumanized that even people that care about atrocities in the Middle East pay scant attention to the horrors in Africa where the West and Israel are equally implicated. In the landscapes of our imaginations, the Western cultural hegemony has created the image of dark bodies into a faceless, uncontainable, seething hoarde born to suffer and die; lives stripped bare of names, personalities, agency, intelligence, homelands and dreams.
(Please note this blog is anti-genocide no matter the colour of their skin, by which I mean that what's happening in Ukraine is also one, and no amount of Zionists with their flag in their bios makes it any more acceptable for them to be colonized and slaughtered than it is for any of the several Black and brown people being subjected to the same right now. Human rights are not predicated on good behaviour, or else we'd all be dead.)

Did you see that youtuber RealLifeLore's latest video, 'Why NATO's Biggest Weakness is Scotland'? It starts out as a pretty fair retelling of Scottish Independence's recent history and then quickly turns into a huge hit piece on the idea of Scottish Independence, claiming that doing so would lead to NATO losing it's edge in the North Atlantic, and letting Russia encroach.
Normally I'd just brush this off but this guy has like 7 million subscribers. idk it's just disheartening to see from someone w such a huge following.
Hey, just watched it - thanks for flagging it in. I almost want to make a video in response! I'm going to start by saying I don't like this video and I don't like most videos done in this infographic style. I think the fancy graphics often help mask how disjointed the video actually is. The video starts off strong with a retelling of the political situation of the UK. Scottish referendum in 2014, Brexit etc. It's also a good summary of why Scottish independence is a threat to the UK with regards to Oil fields and the like. The problem is that around the halfway mark the video descends into a complete reductive mess with wild assumptions portrayed as likely outcomes. For a start, the assumption that Scotland would copy Ireland and maintain military neutrality. Most people in Scotland passively or actively support membership of NATO, even unionists who hate the idea of Scottish independence would want an independent Scotland to be in NATO.
In Scotland we're well aware of our strategic position in the North Atlantic. The video assumes that Scotland will 'pick up our ball and go home' rather than work with strategic partners. I can't imagine a world where it would be in Scotland's interests to allow Russian nuclear submarines into the North Atlantic. The video also gets more than a few things wrong. Oil and Gas fields are marked incorrectly. Faslane Naval Base is not located in a 'sparsely, remote area' - it is 30 minutes from our largest population centre. The US Naval Bases in his graphic are marked as being in Newfoundland and Labrador in Canada. There's also no mention of the strategic position of the Faroe islands which is conveniently left out for some reason. I think the creator was struggling to fill space and needed more graphics to draw on screen. I think that's why he starts talking about the Catholic/Protestant demographic split in Northern Ireland. I enjoyed the bit about Trans-Atlantic, Cross-Border Dataflows - that's something I know a fair but about! It should have been its own video because it's actually super interesting. However, when it's tacked onto to a point about Scotland allowing Russian subs to enter the North Atlantic so they can start destroying the cables - it stretches the video into an over-dramatisation of an absurd outcome. I don't know much about the creator of the video - but I'm getting a whiff of arm-chair general with some slight masturbatory inclinations towards a full-scale global conflict. At the end, it gets to the point where he draws a battle-plan for Russian submarines coming from Murmansk and says Scottish independence will dramatically increase the likelihood of the event. I hate to say it, but it's a very 'American who likes to think they know a lot about geopolitics' video.

On the same day U.S. President Joe Biden hosted the first-ever United States-Japan-Philippines summit at the White House, a much less conspicuous meeting to strengthen the U.S. alliance network in the Indo-Pacific took place a few blocks away.
On April 11, New Zealand Foreign Minister Winston Peters and U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken convened for talks at the State Department, declaring in a joint statement that their two countries are “working more closely than ever.” In almost any other case, this could be dismissed as meaningless diplomatic boilerplate. But in this case, it was a clear sign that a new era in New Zealand’s foreign policy was underway. Given that U.S.-New Zealand relations have long been strained—in part because Wellington charted a China-friendly course—the meeting was the latest example of Beijing’s behavior in the region driving countries into Washington’s welcoming arms.
The frostiness between New Zealand and the United States dates back to the 1980s, when a Labour government in Wellington declared its part of the Pacific a nuclear-free, disarmed zone and refused to allow port visits by U.S. nuclear-powered submarines. The Reagan administration, in turn, suspended U.S. obligations to New Zealand under the Australia-New Zealand-United States security treaty. The estrangement lasted many decades as New Zealand parted ways not only with the United States but also neighboring Australia to pursue a nonaligned foreign policy.
Relations began to thaw in 2010, when New Zealand Prime Minister John Key’s government signed the Wellington Declaration, which called for elevated strategic engagement and practical cooperation with the United States in the Pacific. Two years later, the two countries followed up with the Washington Declaration, which specifically strengthened defense cooperation and lifted a Reagan-era ban on New Zealand warships in U.S. ports—while leaving Wellington’s nuclear-free zone intact.
The rapprochement also survived the transition back to a Labour Party prime minister, Jacinda Ardern. In fact, the Ardern administration doubled down on the new policy. In 2022, Ardern became the first New Zealand prime minister to attend a NATO summit. Her Labour successor, Chris Hipkins, did so again in 2023. At these summits, New Zealand’s leaders expressed serious concerns about not only Russia but China as well, with Ardern in 2022 stating: “China has in recent times also become more assertive and more willing to challenge international rules and norms. Here, we must respond to the actions we see.”
Criticizing Beijing is a new tactic in New Zealand’s playbook. In 2008, the two countries signed a free trade agreement—Beijing’s first with a Western state. Since then, New Zealand has generally focused on business ties while ignoring or minimizing China’s worsening repression at home and rising assertiveness abroad. To its ostensible Western allies, Wellington’s “supine” attitude toward China was unnerving. In 2018, a Canadian government report called New Zealand the “soft underbelly” of the Five Eyes intelligence-sharing network, which also includes Australia, Britain, Canada, and the United States.
Wellington might have continued on this course, were it not for Beijing’s own actions that made it think twice about engaging—a clear trend that most recently pushed the Philippines to seek closer military relations with Japan and the United States. In New Zealand, it was the discovery of widespread Chinese political interference in the 2017 national elections that began to shift the China narrative from opportunity to concern. It also turned out that a Chinese-born member of the New Zealand Parliament until 2020, Jian Yang, who sat on the foreign affairs, defense, and trade committee, was not only once a member of the Chinese Communist Party but also worked as a trainer of People’s Liberation Army spies. These incidents, as well as Beijing’s turn to bullying smaller countries in the region, awakened New Zealand to the potential geostrategic threat posed by China, including in its own neighborhood.
These developments prompted Ardern to go against the grain of her country’s dovish China policy. In May 2022, New Zealand became a founding member of the Biden administration’s Indo-Pacific Economic Framework—a limited policy that seeks to enhance trade and investment relations among friendly countries, not including China, while stopping short of being an actual free trade agreement. Addressing China directly, Ardern and Biden agreed in Washington that “the United States and New Zealand share a concern that the establishment of a persistent military presence in the Pacific by a state that does not share our values or security interests would fundamentally alter the strategic balance of the region and pose national-security concerns to both our countries.” A month later, New Zealand also joined the Biden administration’s Partners in the Blue Pacific—a group of countries coordinating on Pacific islands strategy, including Australia, Britain, and Japan.
Wellington’s harder line on China now permeates the government. In July 2023, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade issued a new strategic foreign-policy assessment that cited Beijing’s growing assertiveness throughout the Indo-Pacific region as the “primary driver of strategic competition,” adding that the “risk of a shift in the strategic balance in the Pacific is now a present and serious concern in the region.” One month later, Wellington released a first-ever National Security Strategy, arguing that Beijing has become “more assertive and more willing to challenge existing international rules and norms.” A simultaneously released defense strategy implied increased defense spending to meet the emerging China threat.
More recently, Prime Minister Christopher Luxon and his conservative coalition government, elected in October 2023, are sending strong signals that they plan to stay on this track, in spite of previously promoting China-friendly policies. The appointment of Peters as foreign minister, for example, does not bode well for Beijing. In 2018, Peters was the mastermind behind Wellington’s Pacific reset strategy designed to counter Beijing’s growing clout in the Pacific islands region. In a recent speech, Peters questioned the very basis of Wellington’s foreign policy: progressivism and nonalignment. While this policy has played especially well in the postcolonial, post-Cold War Pacific islands region, Peters seems intent on trading it in for aligning New Zealand in great-power competition against China.
Specifically, Peters has called for Wellington to elevate its role in Five Eyes, the Australia-United Kingdom-United States (AUKUS) security pact, and NATO. AUKUS could soon see New Zealand cooperating on nonnuclear security topics, including cyberwar, hypersonic weapons, artificial intelligence, quantum technologies, undersea capabilities, and others. On his first overseas visit in Australia, Luxon strongly suggested that Wellington was moving forward on AUKUS cooperation. Defense Minister Judith Collins has been more circumspect on AUKUS, but her recent contacts with U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin and Deputy Secretary of State Kurt Campbell have deepened the intrigue.
Peters also confirmed this month that New Zealand is pursuing a formal partnership program with NATO. If the agreement is concluded before Luxon’s participation in the NATO summit this summer, it would be another monumental shift in Wellington’s foreign policy away from nonalignment and toward integration with other democratic nations.
From a U.S. perspective, it is easy to get overly excited by these developments and conclude that a restored ANZUS alliance is near. But New Zealand and the United States still seem far apart on restoring a formal alliance, and there have been no public indications that any such step is afoot. A signal of this magnitude to China that New Zealand is siding against it is probably a bridge too far for Wellington, which still seeks to maintain a healthy economic relationship with Beijing and not endanger economic growth.
Still, Wellington’s strategic pivot is good news for Washington and its allies—even if it is still unclear how, exactly, New Zealand’s pivot will support concrete U.S. objectives in the Indo-Pacific and beyond. However, the United States should temper its expectations: New Zealand is likely to continue to preserve productive relations with China while it emphasizes the importance of stronger security ties with Washington.

Official Timeline;
February 14th, 2015; First Official Unit (TV-WEBB) is Built by NASA Scientist/Engineer Dr. Peregrine Hans Seymour as an Exo-Planet explorer following the non-A.I developed Robonauts being successful.
March 15th, 2015; First Camera Unit is Built (CAM-042) for recording and documentation purposes for experiments. WEBB is undergoing extensive testing for Exo-Planets such as Mars, Titan and Europa; Signs of higher intelligence from WEBB as it’s seen doing small experiments [Further research needed] [WEBB begins his documentation of mistreatment somewhere in April which Dr. Seymour is made aware of and takes action but little is able to be done as Dr. Seymour is on the lowest level of seniority of the higher ups] July 4th, 2015; First Speaker Unit Built (WOOFER-074) for experimental Exo-Planet colonization as a Laborer and source of comfort for colonizers. U.S Military approaches Dr. Seymour for blueprints of the Units that have been built, ongoing conversation. August 29th, 2015; Dr. Seymour approves Units to be built for Military, Recording/Filming and Public Resources purposes, He’s placed in charge of ensuring that there’s no major changes to Units’ design. Smaller Speaker Units are designed along with Large Units for the Cameras and possibly TVs.
August 30th, 2015; Dr. Seymour confirms that WEBB is a sentient A.I within its body, refuses to comment on how it occurred but WEBB is appointed and approved to do own experiments with the watchful eye of other Scientists. October 31st & November 1st, 2015; Titans (TITAN-CAM_1101.01 & TITAN-TV_1031.02) start date for being built on as NATO takes over command for the Military Units. December 2015; Units become more common, still not public usage despite the ultra wealthy begging for their own units, Dr. Seymour’s blueprints surfaced onto the internet due to a hacking group [Group gets discovered a few months before the Infection becomes widespread… Skibidi Skibidi Skibi-]
January 2016; Trade networks begin using Camera and Speaker Units for transportation of cargo, which they’re easily fixable and if needed replaceable instead of risking human lives in dangerous ocean travels. TVs are exclusive for Space and Earth Research as they’re able to traverse difficult terrain and get out of bad positions in a near instant.
June 14th, 2016; Some units become sentient like WEBB, they’re taken in by NASA to be studied and eventually reassigned as Scientists or Laborers for NASA and NATO. [Confirmed sentient Units are WEBB, WOOFER-074, CAM-042 and CAM-01] May 9th, 2016; TITAN-CAM_1101.01 Becomes Sentient in server room, [Seems to be a very energetic entity, will have to monitor more closely as it appears to be a squeaker at the moment. Cute little War Cries]
June 20th, 2016; TITAN-TV_1031.02 becomes Sentient [Very much a memer but can be serious if asked questions, very curious about being outside of the server room and very much adores attention on it]
November 11, 2016; Talks of data breach of Dr. Seymour’s blueprints are making rounds on the internet as leaks are unearthed by deep divers of the internet, these deep divers are fined and silenced with NDAs by Government & other organizations. December 2016; Dr. Seymour begins WEBB’s departure from Earth for Mars despite many Scientists and Himself not wanting WEBB to leave the planet. [WEBB starts getting threats of being decommission if it fails to do all tasks and experiments in a “timely” fashion, Higher Seniority of Higher Ups do not care for WEBB]
Early 2017; NASA, NATO and other governments are hit by numerous hacker groups for the blueprints of the Camera, Speaker and TV units, all fail as there’s no digital copies available due to Dr. Seymour’s insistence that the Blueprints remain on paper and not uploaded after the first leak. [Dr. Seymour approves for other Unit types to be created but these are secretive and a set of Blueprints travels with a group to Canada; Project Sugar Maple Begins]
May 19th, 2017; Development of TITAN-SPEAKER_0829.03 begins and an entire team is specifically set aside for said Titan. Dr. Seymour is bracing to say Goodbye to WEBB as launch date is fast approaching. WEBB finishes up its last on earth experiments and is preparing to launch to Mars.
June 15th, 2017; Launch date of WEBB gets postponed due to numerous cyberattacks on NASA’s server systems and tampering of the Rocket. Unknown when the new Launch date will be due to the severity of cyberattacks. WEBB is given incomplete experiments and more training to maintain its purposes and skills.
September 9th 2017; Project [REDACTED] resumed, Dr. Seymour’s oldest Project is reactivated by him for unknown reasons. [Inherited from Family, Tick Tock]
December 31st, 2017; WEBB and CAM-042 are now assigned as lab partners and given permission to free roam within the various NASA Labs.
March 19 - 23, 2018; Dr. Seymour takes WEBB and CAM-042 to Science conference in Woodlands, Texas and the duo become an internet sensation over the following few days with WEBB presenting his research as his own entity. May 30th, 2018; TITAN-SPEAKER_0829.03 becomes Sentient [Shy, quiet, but very much interested in various Knife and Dagger Blades, adores 80’s music]
October 5th, 2018; Patient Zero is infected; S̴͓̄k̸̮̂ì̷ͅḅ̷̓ì̸̬d̶̮͝i̷̧̕ ̵͍́S̸̠͋k̶̝͝i̵̬̔b̷̥̑i̶̾͜d̷̙̓i̴̦̍ ̸͖̐Š̷͚k̸̳̾ị̶̍b̵͔͒i̶̟͝d̸̬̍ĩ̵͍ ̸̯̈:̶͙̽)̴͉͗
October 15th, 2018; Patient Zero checks into a Hospital after reporting unusual symptoms after listening to a newly released song, Doctors don’t think much but monitor the Patient.
November 2018; Patient Zero infects more people unknowingly, transformation has not occurred yet. There’s a noticeable regression in speech and only sings the song at this point. Doctors are getting concerned of Patient’s mental state, a doctor checks himself in due to him noticing his speech regressing similarly to Patient Zero. December 2018; Hospital is locked down, no personnel, patients or visitors are allowed in or out, Patient Zero has transformed and has been idle for a few days. Doctors are in contact with the CDC at this point, only those within the hospital are either uninfected, infected or transformed. [Those whose family or friends are in the hospital are asked to quarantine for an unknown amount of time]
February 2019; WEBB, CAM-042 and WOOFER-074 celebrate WEBB’s creation with star gazing with Dr. Seymour. Dr. Seymour adores his creations, which he begins withdrawing from public due to death threats and sabotage over the success of his creations and designs April 2019; State of Emergency declared in [REDACTED], New Jersey after Patient Zero and a few dozen other Transformed Infected escapes Hospital. The CDC are arguing how the transmission of the virus works, all entities within the Hospital are considered 100% infected and most are believed to be transformed.
September 13th, 2019; Entire State of New Jersey is shut down after a failed containment of what is being dubbed the “Skibidi” Infection, Bridges and Roadways are shut down and military blockways are placed to prevent further infection spreading. September 20th, 2019; Riots begin in New Jersey and surrounding States as families, friends and daily life are broken due to the tight shutdown of New Jersey. Infections skyrocket due to riots and early attacks from Transformed Infected that were provoked by riots.
October 2019; Patient Zero is located by CDC and numerous failed attempts to contain Patient Zero, Military blockades are weakened due to riots. CDC can’t figure out the transmission of the infection, the Government is informed about the current situation, and the President doesn’t think much of it and plays it down. Infection begins to appear in other countries as infected a few sneaky few managed to escape New Jersey. November 2019; Dr. Seymour has completely withdrawn from the public eye and is monitoring this new infection, WEBB is stationed in NYC’s Laboratory with CAM-042 and WOOFER-074. Canada and U.K declares National emergency December 2019; Military Blockade is heavily weakened at this point, infection is tearing through Military and Police personnel, 63% of New Jersey’s population is infected while the remaining population fully breaches barriers to escape the infection.
January 2020; Surrounding States go into State of Emergency, sending frantic messages to Gov’t Congress for additional military support. New Jersey is 100% infected and infection is spreading like WildFire. Dr. Seymour makes his last video call with WEBB and loses connection as Power Grid is hit by Skibidies. He is Stationed in Houston, Texas.
February 2020; National emergency is declared in the U.S, the rest of the world is seeing cases skyrocket and in vain, attempts to shutdown to slow the spread.
March 13th, 2020; World descends into chaos as infection tears through the population, Militaries are falling apart as the Infected are transforming within hours of being exposed. NATO and other Military Organizations begin mass mobilization of Cameramen, eventually speakermen.
May ??, 2020; Dr. Seymour is Infected and Transformed. Hiding within the Labs, trying to find a cure.

Royal Canadian Air Force celebrates its first Centenary
Fernando Valduga By Fernando Valduga 04/01/2024 - 23:07in Military
The Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) has reached the 100-year mark today. The beginning of the celebrations of the first centenary was marked with a ceremony in Edmonton.
As the Royal Canadian Air Force celebrates its 100º anniversary, Edmonton became the host of a moving recognition of its unwavering service to Canada. A historic air passage was carried out by the Tactical Helicopter Squadron "Goose" 408, adorning the skies above the legislative grounds of Alberta and marking the beginning of a six-month commemoration period throughout the country.

The squadron's overflight was led by the veteran pilot and current deputy commander, Major Geoff Martin. With more than a decade of experience at RCAF and a personal connection with the service arising from childhood memories of admiring aircraft with his grandfather, Martin embodies the passion and dedication that have been the hallmark of the service in the last century.
The RCAF turns 100 today! ?
Today, we celebrate a century of excellence, courage, and innovation in the RCAF. As we mark this milestone, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the incredible individuals past and present who have played a part in shaping #YourAirForce. #RCAF100pic.twitter.com/9pcNaZcGlB
— Royal Canadian Air Force (@RCAF_ARC) April 1, 2024
The long-standing mission of the RCAF: to provide air defense, search and rescue and to assist in disaster relief, remains unchanged. An example of this dedication to domestic and international aid is Martin's deployment to Iraq, where he contributed significantly to Canadian operations.
Highlighting the festivities, Lieutenant-Gov. Salma Lakhani addressed the assembly and paid tribute to the noble history of the RCAF. The day was also marked by the elevation of the Elifer of the Royal Canadian Air Force within the legislative grounds and, later, the eminent structures of Edmonton, the High Level Bridge and the Jubilee Auditoriums, were illuminated in blue to signify the celebrations of the centenary of the RCAF.
In honour of the 100th anniversary of the @RCAF_ARC, buildings around the world are illuminated with blue lights, including the Canadian National Vimy Memorial in #France. ??

Lieutenant-Colonel (Retired) Thomas Sand, who dedicated 35 years to the RCAF, highlighted the incredible experiences he accumulated during his administration, such as tracking submarines and traveling the world, but emphasized that the most beloved aspect of the service is the unity and respect promoted among its members.
As the country continues to honor the 100-year history of the RCAF, it is evident that the spirit of duty to the nation and humanity that once formed the backbone of the Royal Canadian Air Force remains as strong today as ever.
Happy 100th birthday to @RCAF_ARC! Thank you for 100 years of air support! sic itur ad astra ('Such is the pathway to the stars') The #RoyalCanadianAirForce's incredible history:https://t.co/00V93ycniM #RCAF100 #WeTheNavypic.twitter.com/ijSp63bAxh

Since its creation on April 1, 1924, the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) has played a key role in the history of Canada, contributing to the defense of the nation and participating in international operations. Its emergence faced significant challenges, evolving through technological advances and adapting to the changing nature of air warfare and peacekeeping.
Throughout World War II, Korea and NATO's Cold War missions, the RCAF grew in capacity and size. The integration of women and various multicultural groups in the service over time has also shaped the dynamics of the organization. Today, it operates a fleet of several aircraft, from fighters such as the CF-18 Hornet to transport aircraft such as the C-130 Hercules and maritime patrol aircraft such as the CP-140 Aurora.
Happy Centennial, Royal Canadian Air Force! ???
As we celebrate 100 years of soaring through the skies, the Canadian Armed Forces extends warmest congratulations to the@RCAF_ARC on this historic milestone. #RCAF100pic.twitter.com/7yAwvhR1qy
— Canadian Armed Forces (@CanadianForces) April 1, 2024
The aerospace industry has been a critical aspect of Canada's economy, contributing significantly to research and development, production and employment. Canada's Defense Policy, "Strong, Safe, Involved", describes significant investments aimed at improving the capabilities of the RCAF. This is expected to include the acquisition of 88 advanced F-35 fighter aircraft to replace the current CF-18 fleet, increasing the country's sovereignty and NORAD's obligations. These acquisitions and technological upgrades of current assets offer indications of potential market growth in the defense aerospace sector in Canada and around the world.
Attracting skilled labor remains a challenge in the aerospace industry, with demographic aging and competition from other sectors. In a broader scope, issues such as climate change and the need for sustainable development have pressured defense organizations to consider environmental impacts on their operations and innovations. In addition, cybersecurity and the emergence of space as a contested domain indicate that the RCAF, like its allies, must evolve to face new threats that go beyond the traditional roles of aerial superiority.
100 years for the @RCAF_ARC! It has been a privilege to serve our country with amazing Canadians. I want to honor those who have served and who continue to serve in Canada and around the world over the past century. #RCAF100 pic.twitter.com/g5SUXBX78D
— Joshua Kutryk (@Astro_Kutryk) April 1, 2024
The celebrations of the centenary of the RCAF not only define a historic milestone, but also stimulate reflection on its future path in the midst of a constantly evolving industry, with new challenges and opportunities. It serves as a reminder of the commitment and sacrifice of the men and women who have served and continue to serve under its flag - a commitment that remains an integral part of Canada's security and its global partnerships.

Wait, aren't you Canadian how are you shooting guns?
Contrary to popular belief, firearms aren't illegal to own in Canada. You do need to be licensed to own firearms and there are different classes of license required to own different types of firearm (e.g. a non-restricted license allows you to own manually operated rifles and shotguns, while a restricted license allows you to own certain kinds of handgun and semi-automatic rifles; to get a restricted license you need to already have had a non-restricted license for a period of time, I think it's a year). Canadian gun laws are in desperate need of reforming though, because they simply don't make any sense and our government has a ridiculous policy of banning firearms by name. This means that there are a weird loopholes when it comes to what is legal to own and what is not. For example, while it's illegal to own an AR-15 in Canada, it's perfectly legal to own an AR-180 which is functionally identical to an AR-15. Yes the former is operated by direct gas impingement and the latter by a short stroke piston, but they're both semi-automatic rifles that fire 5.56mm NATO rounds from detachable box magazines. The specific type of operating mechanism in a gun doesn't really matter if you're on the other end of it. Similarly, an AK-47 is illegal to own in Canada but a Chinese Type-81 which is patterned on the AK-47 and fires the same 7.62x39mm round is perfectly legal.
I know all this because a real good buddy of mine going back to childhood is one of those fabled "responsible gun owners". He does everything right, all of his firearms are completely legal, and he stores them securely in a locked steel gun locker that he has bolted to the basement floor of his home. He went through the necessary police checks, attended the mandatory safety classes and keeps his license up to date. He also belongs to a registered gun club. He's so straight laced when it comes to the rules around firearms that I couldn't even convince him to stop at the Tim Horton's drive through the last time we went shooting. It was straight to the range and then back to his place to lock everything up, no stops. He understands that it's a privilege to own firearms and that he has responsibilities and duties to that privilege. Honestly, if all firearms owners were like him, owning firearms wouldn't even be a political question, but they're not, which is why we have gun laws. And it's why both he and I both support gun control legislation, we'd just like that legislation to make sense.
Anyway, this buddy of mine happens to possess the sort of arsenal more often associated with a survivalist in rural Montana or a Latin American militia than with a social democrat living in suburban Ontario. He's just really into the history of firearms and their mechanical engineering (he works as a machine shop tech). So I've been out shooting with him a bunch of times over the years. I was also in the Royal Canadian Air Cadets as a kid and learned basic firearm safety, upkeep, and use. I was taught how to shoot on a .22lr Lee-Enfield No. 7, a training rifle converted from No. 4 Enfields, and so did my younger brother who was in the Army Cadets. If I were more able-bodied and had the money I wouldn't mind owning a military surplus bolt action for plinking. Sport shooting is a hell of a lot of fun and anyone who doesn't think that it takes skill and practice or that it isn't fun probably hasn't tried it.

“With the Commonwealth Realms, I expect Charles to fulfil his role as their Head of State regardless of which government is in power.”
Until John Major signed, Maastricht treaty in the mid 1990’s we had anchor butter and New Zealand Lamb. These things, and others, disappeared from supermarket shelves and EU produce was prioritised.
After the Lisbon Treaty was signed in 2009 military co-operation with Europe (France) was prioritised, seemingly above UK Commonwealth and NATO links, in terms of funding and development.
The Late Queen and now the King are Head of a realms whose army swears allegiance. It means something, or it should. Our shared history should mean closer, cooperation, and trade and travel. The similarities in our Parliaments and Health Service and peoples should be highlighted with the monarchy as an umbrella or lynchpin. But on none of these things can the king or the late Queen act independently of government.
A resurgent, China started rolling out the Belt and Road initiative in 2013, directly targeting Commonwealth Realms and Nations. And government moved out of the way to let them because no one saw Brexit coming.
Thing is Sunak’s Windsor framework reverses the closer ties Boris Johnson and Liz Truss were working towards post Brexit which would mean not only enhanced trade but closer military co-operation.
It’s why the King went to Germany as his first state visit not Australia, New Zealand or Canada imho.
The Commonwealth of Nations is different, because there it is predominantly trade I believe, as well as the opportunity for cooperation. And that will continue, although I do not think Prince William will be head of the Commonwealth. I think there may be a revolving head by then, i.e. the representative from a certain country for certain amount of years.
Hi Nonny,
Thank you for that explanation of what is happening in GB. I always read "the Commonwealth" as "the Commonwealth of Nations", so I will have to remember that other people mean "the Commonwealth Realms" when they say "the Commonwealth".
"Our shared history should mean closer, cooperation, and trade and travel. The similarities in our Parliaments and Health Service and peoples should be highlighted with the monarchy as an umbrella or lynchpin." - I agree, but I don't see this happening. Instead I see the Commonwealth Realms drawing further and further apart.
China is a concern to me as well.
I also think that after King Charles the position of Head of the Commonwealth will change and not longer be the ruler of Great Britain.

Xander, ornithologist and Ph.D. candidate, stands in front of a Director landing craft and secondary generation ship that has inexplicably arrived over 500,000 years in the past. Its mothership continuing on toward its destination, this craft has returned to investigate the sudden loss of communications with all celestial bodies outside of Earth, from which audio signals have become indecipherable and video has become replaced with nothing but the images of what is believed to be members of a long extinct species. The distribution of light on the planet has changed entirely, leading the millions aboard the ships to fear that a catastrophic event has befallen their home. A state of radio silence has been agreed upon aboard the ship.
As the landing craft approaches Earth, eliminating several "unknown bodies" along its path, the governments of Earth are locked in a state of indecision, as they have been for months. As the projected landing site is in arctic Canada, NATO is ultimately granted military control over the situation and as the ship lands, modified roots churning into the ground and surrounding the primary structure as a protective shield, they begin to swarm the site. Scientists too arrive, however, the desire to keep up even a crumb of the secrecy maintained in earlier months is great, and as the first of its many inhabitants emerge, they quickly realize that despite the extensive scientific team assembled, they overlooked taking on a specialist in ornithology. Thankfully, it seems as though one young, but willing, specialist was among those close enough to the landing site to be placed under quarantine, and even as more experienced specialists arrive, he has been incorporated into the long-term team tasked with figuring out one simple question: WHAT THE FUCK?

This all you need to know about the Biden regime.
The Western world is on the path of destruction, and it’s okay if it means the Ukraine victory. Demented Joe really believes he’s winning? Oh help us God.
He is such a liar! So, sorry for your luck America but Jowl Biden has to rush into World War III.
Tumblr media
“The war has pushed prices up. [Oil] could go as high as $200 a barrel, some analysts think,” Tankersley said. “How long is it fair to expect American drivers and drivers around the world to pay that premium for this war?”
“As long as it takes,” Biden answered. “Russia cannot, in fact, defeat Ukraine and move beyond Ukraine.
“This is a critical, critical position for the world,” the president went on. “Here we are. Why do we have NATO? I told Putin that, in fact, if we were to move [against Ukraine], we would move to strengthen NATO. We would move to strengthen NATO across the board.”
“The bottom line is, ultimately the reason why gas prices are up is because of Russia. Russia, Russia, Russia,” the president said. “The reason why the food crisis exists is because of Russia.”
LIAR! Liar! Liar! He acts like we can't feed ourselves.
We have the strongest economy in the world. Our inflation rates are lower than other nations in the world,” he said, adding later: “I can understand why the American people are frustrated because of inflation. But inflation is higher in almost every other country.”
The 8.6% annual US inflation rate in May was the highest since 1981 and higher than the Eurozone’s estimated monthly average of 8.1%, Canada’s 7.7%, South Korea’s 5.4% and Japan’s 2.5%.
The UK’s annual inflation rate of 9.1% was higher than the US rate in May, but the US rate exceeded Germany’s 7.9%, France’s 5.8%, and Italy’s 6.9%.
Not one country can afford to do this! I don't care if we combine them either.
All people matter. It's not like Joe is going to fight. It's our younger generation that's going to be there.
The draft will come back. I hope Antifa is ready to fight?
Te cats are out of the bag!
How do you feel about being drafted?
Thank you, Anon
Love, JD 😜💖😥

what sort of relationship does Iceland have with Canada & America? From wiki it tells me that Canada’s the big destination, but it’s paltry to the number of Katya’s people. I also think America was among the first to recognize Icelandic independence after one of the world wars? So, just what are those relationships like? if there even are relationships.
Okay, so to prelude this, I was very very interested in medieval Scandinavia and had an extremely cringy phase of being a practitioner of Scandinavian reconstructions of Norse Paganism and most of my knowledge comes from the Icelandic Saga's or Íslendingasögur and other related interests I carried before it became even more tightly linked with neo-nazism and other absolutely disgusting racist tendencies as was especially relevant to me in Canada and the US but elsewhere as well. So my knowledge does lean into their world before Alfred even exists. Also, I have only minimally interacted with the side of the fandom of the Scandinavians so I'm not overly familiar with what takes are out there so if I contradict fandom or anything else, I didn't mean to. That said, lets go a-viking to Vinland I fucken guess.
With Matt, I'd say there's some importance with the Icelandic immigration. For example, skyr as a dairy product was available and known to Canadians and made in Canada for generations before it was in the US. There's tons of Icelandic-Canadians in Winnipeg/Manitoba. There's also a lot of awareness of Iceland and its ties to Vinland/L'Anse aux Meadows. Also the odd headline about Iceland using Canada's currency when the banking issues went bad. Egill has probably seen the dual nature of Matt as Arthur's favourite knife and his more subdued version. So, barring further research into the Canadian occupation of 1940-1941 I think there's a level of trust there? Certainly familiarity. A random fun-fact is how heavily the initial Norwegian settlers just blazed through the existing trees on Iceland. I can see Egill with distant memories of the sacred ash tree Mímameiðr or Yggdrasill putting a hand out to the great Canadian old growths with a bit of reverence. He might quote the saga's to Matt and Alfred. Ber er hver að baki nema sér bróður eigi. Your back is vulnerable without a brother. Quite literally for both of them.
As for Alfred and Egill, Iceland is important in a way that far outsizes its population or immigration. It's geo-thermal capacities means its the cheapest and most secure data centre in the western world. The same location that brought Iceland into the Scandinavian world a thousand years ago is the same one that makes it invaluable to NATO and more generally to North American and North Atlantic security. Egill can do whatever the fuck he wants, including not having a functional military beyond a 200-odd person civilian coast guard and Alfred can't say shit. My step mom is 2nd gen and her parents have a very very mixed opinion of the US. They admire it, enjoy our hardworking culture and open friendliness in contrast to how closed off Íslendingar themselves are. They both remember the controversy about being in NATO. So I think Egill would recognize dark things in Alfred even as much as they enjoy each other's company. Egill would roll his eyes when Alfred asks yet again about elves but Alfred, a child of the witch-years might seriously give him pause when he asks about Egill's fylgjur. I can see them being fond of each other. I do think there is something of an uneasy relationship there. The great superpower and the valuable and respected but still tiny island country it's dependent on. Also their relationships with Arthur and Sigurd might be a point of commonality. The colony who broke free and became an empire and the colony who was born a commonwealth and then retaken into Norwegian and later Danish and Swedish monarchy would make for a very interesting duo.
