Okay this is extremely random and hopefully you don’t mind me asking *inhale* BUUUUUT I ate an edible for the first time today and since I do believe you have experience in the weed business you could help me understand this more cuz like I ate about a third of a full edible n im not sure how many mgs were in it but like do you think it was too weak because I thought it’d be like… me tripping out and discovering the secrets of the universe and making jokes so uncharacteristically hilarious that it scares people but all I did was get so loving and joyous and horny and laughing at everything to now im just hungry as fuck. Overall I felt different for about 5 or 6 hours. But it wasn’t like crazy or anything, all it did was put me in a relaxed and happy mood but physically I felt nothing. Was that liek a weak dose or does that sound normal and would eating more next time get me more fucked up … if you know. I’m sorry if that question is stupid like i said it’s my first time n idk what im doing 💔
NO UR GOOD DON'T WORRY it's good to ask people but i gotta say im unfortunately not as experienced as id like to be, ive only ever tried smoking and homemade edibles :/ BUT i might still be able to help you here!!!!! it sounds like you were only a little high like in one of the lowest "levels". i get like that when im smoking and only take a few hits. barely feel anything physically but i do get hornier and more relaxed (and sometimes sleepy)
the first time you try weed it's very common that one of two things will happen: either you won't feel almost anything or it hits so hard you might even get a bad trip. that's like a very common thing, most people react like that and it was like that for me too (the first time i ever tried it i was at the beach and barely felt anything at all, just kept staring at the waves wondering when it was gonna hit and then i got sleepy and went home). another thing is if you're eating it the effects can take a long long long time to actually hit. like to me personally it's usually almost two hours until im actually feeling it and then three hours until it peaks. when it does i get a really good trip for around three or sometimes (depends on the mgs and what else i consumed during the day) even four hours and then it starts going away. there are some things you can do to feel it faster like eating it in an empty stomach but i don't recommend it at all. also if you eat it with chocolate or milk for whatever insane reason it tends to last a little longer i have no idea why?? but it's a real thing, it's why pot brownies (or any recipe involving chocolate) are so popular
did you have a trip sitter or just anyone else with you? if they had tried it before and ate as much as you did and managed to get high it was probably just because it was your first time. if you didn't eat as much as them it's also possible that you didn't eat "enough" (BUUUUT if you didn't cook it yourself it's like always better if you start by eating very little then you wait like an hour to see how you feel, if you don't feel anything THEN and Only Then you eat some more. if you didn't cook it yourself, you don't know how strong it is yk? better safe than sorry you don't want an unexpected green out). and if you ate the same amount and it was also their first time then maybe you just have a stronger metabolism it happens sometimes. if you wanna try again i recommend eating the same amount and waiting, if you only feel the same thing again maybe try eating some more and waiting even more
if it's eating not smoking it's good to take like a whole evening for that because like i said trips from edibles last way longer. can go for even eight hours sometimes
i hope this helps :]

Nature's bounty
it’s harvest time - for all kinds of crops.
If you’re planning to make cannabis edibles, don’t forget to decarb your buds before turning them into cannabutter.
Decarboxylation (pronounced de-carb-OX-yl-a-tion) activates the psychoactive compounds in the cannabis plant and produces a better product.
Making cannabutter is simple, but time-consuming. To decarb, set your oven to 240 degrees, spread your buds on a cookie sheet (1/2 or 3/4 of an ounce) and bake for about 60 minutes.
Meawhile, put about three quarts of water in a pot, along with two sticks of butter (the standard cookie recipe amount) over medium heat on your stove. Once the butter is melted, put the buds in, lower the heat and simmer the mixture for two hours, keeping it under 200 degrees.
Then, using a colander and a piece of cheesecloth, strain the mixture into another pot. Discard the plant material, but the liquid in the fridge for 24 hours. The butter will rise to the top and solidify.
Remove it by running a butter knife around the edge. Use it the way you normally use butter.

The Easiest Way to Prepare Cannabis Butter at Home
Cannabis butter is a delicious and versatile ingredient that can be used in many recipes. Unfortunately, it is not always easy to find in stores, and when you do, the cost can be high. The good news is that it's actually quite simple to make cannabis butter at home with minimal effort.
In this article, we will discuss the easiest way to prepare cannabis butter at home and provide some tips on how to get the best results. So, read on and learn the secrets of making cannabis butter for delicious edibles!
One important thing to remember before getting started is that you will need a supply of high-quality cannabis buds or medical marijuana in order to make good-quality cannabis butter. The better quality of your starting material, the better your end product will be. Once you have gathered all of your ingredients, you are ready to begin!
Tumblr media
Ingredients:
- 7 grams of cannabis flower
- 1 cup of butter
- 1 cup of water
- A cannabis grinder
- One nonstick baking sheet
- One stovetop pot
- A thermometer (optional)
- Cheesecloth
Step 1: Decarb the cannabis
To activate the beneficial cannabinoids found within the cannabis flower, the flower must first be decarboxylated or "decarb." "The decarbing process is a chemical change that converts the THCA to THC," explains Katie Stem, extraction expert, and Peak Extracts CEO.
If you skip this step, your butter will be much weaker. There's a chance that some of the THCA will convert to THC during the slow melt process of the butter, but you'll lose a lot of the beneficial cannabinoids if you skip the decarb "activation" step.
Here's a quick and simple method for decarbing your flower:
1. Prepare your cannabis flower by grinding it. Make use of a grinder designed specifically for cannabis. You'll end up with a coarsely ground herb.
2. Preheat the oven to 230–245 degrees Fahrenheit. 240 degrees is ideal for my oven, but it also depends on the age of your oven and how evenly it cooks.
3. Arrange your ground cannabis on a nonstick baking sheet. A nonstick baking sheet that has not previously been used for cooking food is preferred. If you only have a food-safe pan, cover it with parchment paper to protect the cannabis from any residue on the pan. This also aids in the prevention of sticking.

Step 2: Steep on the stovetop
After you've decarbed your weed, heat the butter on the stovetop and start infusing.
1. Melt together 1 cup of butter and 1 cup of water. The water will aid in the even heating of the butter. In the end, any water that does not evaporate will be removed. Use 1/2 cup water, 1/2 cup butter, and 1/8 ounce of cannabis for a half-batch.
2. Turn your burner to the lowest setting. The butter should be cooked at 150 degrees Fahrenheit, with a maximum temperature of 200 degrees. A cooking thermometer can assist you in determining the exact temperature.
3. Mix in your decarbed cannabis. Put a lid on the pot. This aids in the distribution of heat, which is ideal for a low, slow extraction.
4. Simmer for at least three hours at 150°F. If you want a more potent butter, steep it for four hours, but make sure the temperature is at its lowest. If you choose a longer cooking time, you may want to add more water because it evaporates and leaves the butter vulnerable to overheating. To avoid burning, stir occasionally.
Alternative methods: Double boiler or crockpot
Both of these methods aim to balance and stabilize the temperature of the butter, preventing it from becoming too hot or burning during the process.
For the double boiler method:
Simmer 1 cup of water in a large pot for the double boiler method. One cup of butter and cannabis in a glass or metal bowl on top of the pot. Cook for three hours. Maintain a close eye on the water level in the bottom pot and refill it as needed.
For the crockpot method:
Combine the cannabis, water, and butter in a pot. For three hours, set the crockpot to 150 degrees Fahrenheit.
Step 3: Strain your butter.
After three hours, and your home is filled with the faint aroma of cannabis mixed with butter, strain your mixture.
1. Cover a jar with several layers of cheesecloth. Use a rubber band to keep it from slipping while you strain. If you don't have any cheesecloth on hand, coffee filters will suffice. For this step, a standard metal food strainer will be too coarse.
2. Slowly pour the butter through the cheesecloth. Allow enough time for it to drain so that there is no overflow. You can discard or compost the spent weed once it has been thoroughly strained.
3. Allow it to cool. After 30 minutes at room temperature, transfer it to the refrigerator.
4. Drain any excess water. When it's cool and solidified, you should be able to see the butter on top and a thin layer of water on the bottom. Pour the water out of the jar with care. Hold the butter in place with a clean finger or utensil to prevent it from slipping out.
Step 4: Have fun!
Your cannabutter is now ready for consumption. To make dosing easier, cut it into small, uniform pieces. Cannabutter can be substituted for butter or oil in almost any recipe.
Because it is so potent, start with a small amount of cannabutter until you find your tolerance level. When dosing cannabutter for recipes, mix it with regular butter. You can always add more cannabutter or eat more edibles, but you can never take it back. Slow down.
How to store cannabutter
Store your canna butter in the fridge in an air-tight glass jar.
A sealed mason jar works well. The canna butter stored in the fridge should last 3 to 4 weeks. You can also store it in an opaque or dark glass jar. Light exposure degrades cannabis over time, so any opaque jar or covering will extend its life.
You can also freeze cannabutter if you really want it to last. Freezing cannabis does not degrade its effects and can extend the life of the cannabutter up to six months.
Always smell older cannabutter. If it smells rancid, don't eat it.
Canna butter is a versatile ingredient that can be used in many dishes. Following these simple steps will help you make perfect canna butter every time. Keep in mind that depending on the recipes, the temperature and cooking time may vary, so always read instructions carefully to ensure the best results. With some patience and love, you can easily make delicious edibles from your own cannabis-infused butter at home.

Happy Brownies
Heat oven to 230. In mini cupcake pan place mini-silicone liners. Spray each silicone liner with cooking spray. In medium mixing bowl whisk 3 eggs well then add 3/4 cup of cannabutter (melted & cooled) & 1 cup of purified water. Whisk again until well blended. Now add brownie mix (Ghirardelli Ultimate is fabulous). Bake 35 minutes. Every oven is different so don’t walk away. When tops are touched they should bounce back not stick to your fingers. Place baking tray on wire rack. As soon as brownies are cooled take each one out of liner (you should have 24 little brownies) by turning liner upside down & gently pinching them. Keep brownies upside down to cool. Once cooled place in freezer bag, date it, & place in freezer. Every night have 2 brownies. You’ll have a very enjoyable evening.

Still Recovering
After the Cannabutter misfortune I was completely blazed for over 24 hours. My soul is finally coming back into my body but haha reminds me of the time I ate an entire 300mg cookie because I didn't know you were only supposed to eat part of it each time.
3 teaspoons is apparently far too much of the Cannabutter though. I do have to brag and say it's good stuff xD. Today I'm playing some video games and finishing being comatose I hope that I'll be fully recovered by tomorrow.
