Oh, hello! Welcome!
I take it this is your first time out in the deep black?
Oh no, no need to get defensive about it, Everyone has to start somewhere. We get many travelers paying tribute at our little church here. You've got the look of someone who's never been beyond low orbit. I'm guessing one of the third wave colonies?
(It's the implants. Secondwave culture is a bit more uptight about them and you don't look like you're trying to rebel)
You're wondering why we have valuable real estate set aside for a shrine of all things?
You're wondering what sort of god spacers worship?
Do you know what a god is? I'll tell you. A god is an idea given life.
So what's the idea that keeps us flying?
Most folk born planetside might think the god of spaceflight is all fire and noise. Nah. Any moron with enough money and explosives can build a rocket.
No, the idea that keeps us going out here is faith that ask these tiny little pressure vessels will hold together and find their way through the black.
Back in the ancient days, back before thinking machines and all that, the very first leaps off the ground were guided by computers that were hand made. I shit you not, little old ladies hand sewed the memory together.
Huh…? No, I mean like, hard coded read only memory, literal ones and zeros locked into magnets and wire.
That's my point though. Our god began life as the god of seamstresses. She's the god of sewing and weaving. She's older than civilization and she's gone by many names in many cultures.
Yeah, no, of course we don't hand sew our computers, that lasted all of like a decade. Hell, textile work itself went totally automated not long after. Point is she took men into space and brought them home safely. That sorta thing leaves a mark on a god. It changes them.
A ship. A station. A fleet. They're all systems. People and life support and sensors and actuators and control loops. It's all a web, a giant fucking tapestry of connections and she's the master weaver at the center.
But of course the web is massive, and she isn't literally weaving shit. She's all of the maintenance. Corrective and preventive. So it falls on all of us, the pilots, the mechanics, the algae farmers, the sanitation workers, everyone. We're the sewers and weavers. We're the ones patching and mending the tapestry. We're the ones adding to it constantly.
So that's what the shrine is for. That's the religion in out here in the black. Deep space is a bitch, and all we have to count on is the ship and the crew. She reminds us of that.

There are many web hosting companies to choose from if you're taking the plunge into making your own website with a comic content management system (CMS) like ComicControl or Grawlix, a Wordpress comic theme like Toocheke or ComicPress, or a HTML template to cut/paste code like Rarebit. While these solutions are generally free, finding a home for them is... generally not. It can be hard to choose what's best for your webcomic AND your budget!
We took a look at a few of the top hosting services used by webcomics creators using webcomic CMSes, and we put out a poll to ask your feedback about your hosts!
This post may be updated as time goes on as new services enter the hosting arena, or other important updates come to light.
Questions:
💻 I can get a free account with Wix/Squarespace/Carrd, could I just use those for my comic? - Web hosts like this may have gallery functions that could be adapted to display a series of pages, but they are very basic and not intended for webcomics.
📚 Wait, I host on Webtoon, Tapas, Comic Fury, or some other comic website, why are they not here? - Those are comic platforms! We'll get into those in a future post!
🕵️♀️Why does it say "shared hosting"? Who am I sharing with? - "Shared hosting" refers to sharing the server space with other customers. They will not have access to your files or anything, so it is perfectly fine to use for most comic CMSes. You may experience slowing if there is too much activity on a server, so if you're planning to host large files or more than 10 comics, you may want to upgrade to a more robust plan in the future.
Web Host List
Neocities
Basic plan pricing: Free or $5/month. Free plan has more restrictions (1 GB space, no custom domain, and slower bandwidth, among other things)
Notes: Neocities does not have database support for paid or free accounts, and most comic CMS solutions require this (ComicCtrl, Grawlix, Wordpress). You will need to work with HTML/CSS files directly to make a website and post each page.
Hostinger
Basic plan pricing: $11.99/month or $7.99/month with four year commitment (monthly, 1, 2, and 4 year plans available).
Notes: Free domain for the 1st year. Free SSL Certifications. Weekly backups.
KnownHost
Basic plan pricing: $8.95/month or $7.99/month with four year commitment (monthly, 1, 2, and 4 year plans available).
Notes: Free DDOS protection. Free SSL Certifications.
InMotion Hosting
Basic plan pricing: $12.99/month or $9.99/month with three year commitment (monthly, 1, and 3 year plans available).
Notes: Free SSL Certifications, free domain names for 1 and 3 year plans. 24/7 live customer service and 90-day money-back guarantee. Inmotion also advertises eco-friendly policies: We are the first-ever Green Data Center in Los Angeles. We cut cooling costs by nearly 70 percent and reduce our carbon output by more than 2,000 tons per year.
Reviews:
👍“I can't remember it ever going down.”
👍“InMotion has a pretty extensive library full of various guides on setting up and managing websites, servers, domains, etc. Customer service is also fairly quick on responding to inquiries.” 👎“I wish it was a bit faster with loading pages.”
Ionos Hosting
Basic plan pricing: $8/month or $6/month with three year commitment (monthly, 1, 2 and 3 year plans available).
Notes: Free domain for the first year, free SSL Certification, Daily backup and recovery is included. Site Scan and Repair is free for the first 30 days and then is $6/month.
Reviews:
👍“Very fast and simple” 👎“Customer service is mediocre and I can't upload large files”
Bluehost
Basic plan pricing: $15.99/month or $4.95/month with three year commitment (monthly, 1, 3 year plans available).
Notes: Free domain and SSL certificates (for first year only). 24/7 Customer Service. Built to handle higher traffic websites. Although they specialize in Wordpress websites and provide updates automatically, that's almost a bad thing for webcomic plugins because they will often break your site. Their cloud hosting services are currently in early access with not much additional information available.
Reviews:
👎"The fees keep going up. Like I could drop $100 to cover a whole year, but now I'm paying nearly $100 for just three months. It's really upsetting."
👎"I have previously used Bluehost’s Wordpress hosting service and have had negative experiences with the service, so please consider with a grain of salt. I can confirm at least that their 24/7 customer service was great, although needed FAR too often."
Dreamhost
Basic plan pricing: $7.99/month or $5.99/month with three year commitment (monthly, 1, 3 year plans available).
Notes: Free SSL Certificates, 24/7 support with all plans, 97-day moneyback guarantee. Not recommended for ComicCtrl CMS
Reviews:
👍“They've automatically patched 2 security holes I created/allowed by mistake.” 👍“Prices are very reasonable” 👎 “back end kind of annoying to use” 👎 “wordpress has some issues” 👎 “it's not as customizable as some might want“
GoDaddy
Basic plan pricing: $11.99/month or $9.99/month with three year commitment (monthly, 1, 2, and 3 year plans available).
Notes: Free 24/7 Customer service with all plans, Free SSL Certificates for 1 year, free domain and site migration.
Reviews:
👍Reasonable intro prices for their Economy hosting, which has 25GB of storage 👍Migrated email hosting service from cPanel to Microsoft Office, which has greater support but may not be useful for most webcomic creators. 👎 Many site issues and then being upsold during customer service attempts. 👎 Server quality found lacking in reviews 👎 Marketing scandals in the past with a reputation for making ads in poor taste. Have been attempting to clean up that image in recent years. 👎 “GoDaddy is the McDonald's of web hosting. Maybe the Wal-Mart of hosting would be better. If your website was an object you would need a shelf to put it on. You go to Wal-Mart and buy a shelf. It's not great. It's not fancy. It can only hold that one thing. And if we're being honest - if the shelf broke and your website died it wouldn't be the end of the world.The issue comes when you don't realize GoDaddy is the Wal-Mart of hosting. You go and try to do things you could do with a quality shelf. Like, move it. Or add more things to it.” MyWorkAccountThisIs on Reddit*
Things to consider for any host:
💸 Introductory/promotional pricing - Many hosting companies offer free or inexpensive deals to get you in the door, and then raise the cost for these features after the first year or when you renew. The prices in this post are the base prices that you can expect to pay after the promotional prices end, but may get outdated, so you are encouraged to do your own research as well.
💻 Wordpress hosting - Many of the companies below will have a separate offering for Wordpress-optimized hosting that will keep you updated with the latest Wordpress releases. This is usually not necessary for webcomic creators, and can be the source of many site-breaking headaches when comic plugins have not caught up to the latest Wordpress releases.
Any basic hosting plan on this list will be fine with Wordpress, but expect to stop or revert Wordpress versions if you go with this as your CMS.
🤝 You don't have to go it alone - While free hosts may be more limited, paid hosting on a web server will generally allow you to create different subdomains, or attach additional purchased domains to any folders you make. If you have other comic-making friends you know and trust, you can share your server space and split the cost!
Want to share your experience?
Feel free to contribute your hosting pros, cons, and quirks on our survey! We will be updating our list periodically with your feedback!

"He who fights too long against dragons becomes a dragon himself; and if you gaze too long into the abyss, the abyss will gaze into you."― Friedrich Nietzsche
Red Spectral Dragon Talon Abraxas
Red Dragon is your Conscious Self - who you are and who you are becoming.
Red Dragon represents the root source of life, the nurturance and support of primary being, and within it are found the primal waters of unity. This is where your deepest roots receive true nourishment. Red Dragon is the energy of form contained within the formlessness of the primordial sea.
Primal trust means making choices with no guarantees, knowing that divine nurturance will provide what is needed for your journey. It means making choices moment by moment, implicitly trusting your innate steering mechanism of heart-knowing. Primal trust implies surrendering to the will of the divine self, letting go of what your ego deems to be control of the outcomes in your life. It means deeply trusting the processes that are at work within your present spiral of evolution.
The energy of Red Dragon asks you to embrace the depth of your receptivity. Perhaps you have been taught that it is better to give than to receive. Giving is a powerful way to learn how to receive, but it is not the whole picture. There is a circuit of completion in giving and receiving that happens within you and in your external world at the same time. If you trust unconditionally in the giving, you are not attached to how the gift is received. When you freely give, you fill your cup with sweet waters, which you can then offern innocently and purely to another. Know, on one level, that your gift is poured out universally regardless of how it appears to be received. However, when the gift comes from the ego, it is limited by expectations and conditions. Love just is. It is neither given nor taken; rather it is simply discovered and allowed.
The universe is an inseparable whole. Red Dragon represents the energy matrix lines that look like a web in the universe, through which all points are connected in time and space. This energetic web of communication is known as the 'crystal grid network.' It is a cauldron of creation, a potent field in which all things are not only possible but constantly being created. Within this grid, the linear causality of time and space has been freed into an open system in which all time and all space exist and interact simultaneously. This grid connects the larger holograms of reality with our own. Its energy lines connect all places, times and events - even those that are seemingly unrelated. All phenomena and all actions are part of this larger whole; it is the very foundation for telepathy and synchronicity. Red Dragon embodies unity, in which all things are one with the Source.
Red Dragon is also your Higher Self & Guide.
You are a double Red Dragon. When your Conscious Self and Higher Self are one and the same it means that you desire to embody all that Red Dragon is, completely and powerfully. Your SuperConscious is guiding you to trust in the larger pattern to provide what you need. Communicate your feelings, desires and dreams!
Yellow Sun is your Subconscious Self and Hidden Helper.
Yellow Sun is a reminder that you are, at every moment, in the center of All That Is. In your journey of remembrance, you are crafting a light body to return to a home in the stars that you never really left. Return as a child of the sacred to the Great Central Sun! You are the crown of creation, infused with the blueprint of solar mind. You are a Godseed, the reflection of cosmic consciousness. You are love made visible!
Discover the simple secret encoded in Ahau's star-glyph: you are unconditional love, the stone of indestructible liberation. Radiate that knowing in all your thoughts and actions. Love all of creation. Join the dance of light, the fundamental constant of nature, and shine forth the clarity of your true essence. There is great power in simply identifying with the light: "As above, so below." You are in God, and God is in you.
As you express unconditional love, you become more than you previously perceived yourself to be. You become illumined, the full manifestation of your divinity. In the embrace of your humanity, accept yourself and others unconditionally. Magnify your full presence. Ahau will come in myriad forms to assist you. Be limitless. Accept and understand the nature of judgement, fear, light and dark within yourself and others. Love and accept yourself and others as you are, freed from previous boundaries. You are the dawning of the solar age.
As you move toward your core of light, you will find a clear-light awareness that is innately innocent. In this place, the mind is restored to it's original state of receptivity. Clarity and freedom become expressions of being, and bliss becomes the body. At this core of light, a new reality is born. From the union of the divine masculine and feminine is birthed the solar androgyny of cosmic consciousness.

By Blue Eyes, Yellow Will Die - Epilogue: A Murder Drones story

It had taken him a half hour to reboot, in that time the sentinels had shut down Max, Ali, Marc and Amanda before returning to their room. His mother had placed him on one of the beds and while she waited for him to come to, she had already used her tail to assist with her own repairs. Things were quiet, a solemn silence, his mother may have been distant with the others, but that didn’t mean she delighted in their destruction, for as far as she was concerned, for every lab drone that had to have their core removed was another victory for Cyn.
His mother turned to him, as he rose from his bed, they were all that was left. With the sentinels back in their room, mother and son went to collect the bodies. The process was slow, and despite his reboot, Beau was tired, he could feel fatigued in every aspect of his code, but this couldn’t be put off – the humans had found out the hard way what happened when a drone didn’t have enough material to self-repair but still had their heart. First was Max and then Ali – their jars placed in visual range of each other (just as Jerom and Connie’s cores had been) – after had been Marc and Amanda who received the same courtesy though their cores had to be place in a different oven then the others (a reorganization could be done later). As for their bodies, they would be taken apart for scraps after examination to ensure they were clean of Cyn’s influence.
He'd be lying if he said he wasn’t worried. The fatigue was getting to both of them, if he could convince his mother to rest–
The sensors alarms were active. Someone was coming.
Someone was coming and it was too soon to bring out the sentinels.
A trap was set, and the trap was sprung
Beau wasn’t tired anymore … he’s not sure the adrenaline is better though.
“Two murder pets, a drone girl, and … this” his mother said.
Beau looked to his mother in question.
“I don’t know how to explain it” she continued, “we’ll put a magnet on her anyway.”
Alice rolled over the purple haired drone, her eyes squinting.
“I’ll handle this one, a normal lookin’ drone, palin’ around with murder pets-”
Using her tail, Alice lifted the arm of the female murder pet before giving a start, she looked to Beau – for a moment, there was fear in her eyes.
She took a breath, “I’ll handle this one too.”
With that they moved the four intruders, the strange one and the male drone to one of the examination rooms and the two female drones to Alice’s main lab room.
(~*~)
Yellow Eyes was here and Beau was terrified.
The sentinels had crushed his mother head – with any hope, she could come back from that. Time seemed to slow down as he aimed his laser blaster, maybe it was because he was tired, fatigue addling his mind, all he had to do survive, get to the body his mother had made him … and … and then what?
Maybe it was fatigue, maybe … maybe …
He freed the female murder drone.
With a tip of his hat the jaws of the sentinels closed around him, and he felt it, he felt it as his solver code activated in his defense, clinging to the sentinel hive like system as his power guided him to the center. For a moment he was ten again and he felt himself being to panic before a spark, glitched through the system. Gathering himself, he examined the system, with the sentinels in a frenzy he wouldn’t be able to take possession of one but … the sparking one … he wouldn’t be able to take possession, but he could station his code.
Entering the mind of the sparking one, he began weaving his web, taking root, taking the reins and as the creature began to wake, his influence guided the sentinel as he battled to not be consumed by the animal’s oil-lust.

Our cosmic neighborhood may be 10x larger
A team of international researchers guided by astronomers at University of Hawaiʻi Institute for Astronomy is challenging our understanding of the universe with groundbreaking findings that suggest our cosmic neighborhood may be far larger than previously thought. The Cosmicflows team has been studying the movements of 56,000 galaxies, revealing a potential shift in the scale of our galactic basin of attraction.
A decade ago, the team concluded that our galaxy, the Milky Way, resides within a massive basin of attraction called Laniākea, stretching 500 million light-years across. However, new data suggests that this understanding may only scratch the surface. There is now a 60% probability that we are part of an even grander structure, potentially 10 times larger in volume, centered on the Shapley concentration—a region packed with an immense amount of mass and gravitational pull. The findings were recently published in Nature Astronomy.
“Our universe is like a giant web, with galaxies lying along filaments and clustering at nodes where gravitational forces pull them together,” said UH Astronomer R. Brent Tully, one of the study’s lead researchers. “Just as water flows within watersheds, galaxies flow within cosmic basins of attraction. The discovery of these larger basins could fundamentally change our understanding of cosmic structure.”
Vast cosmos
The universe’s origins date back 13 billion years when tiny differences in density began to shape the cosmos, growing under the influence of gravity into the vast structures we see today. But if our galaxy is part of a basin of attraction much larger than Laniākea, which means immense heaven in the Hawaiian language, it would suggest that the initial seeds of cosmic structure grew far beyond current models.
“This discovery presents a challenge: our cosmic surveys may not yet be large enough to map the full extent of these immense basins,” said UH astronomer and co-author Ehsan Kourkchi. “We are still gazing through giant eyes, but even these eyes may not be big enough to capture the full picture of our universe.”
Gravitational forces
The researchers evaluate these large-scale structures by examining their impact on the motions of galaxies. A galaxy between two such structures will be caught in a gravitational tug-of-war in which the balance of the gravitational forces from the surrounding large-scale structures determines the galaxy’s motion. By mapping the velocities of galaxies throughout our local universe, the team is able to define the region of space where each supercluster dominates.
The researchers are set to continue their quest to map the largest structures of the cosmos, driven by the possibility that our place in the universe is part of a far more expansive and interconnected system than ever imagined.

BUGS & METAMORPHOSIS: GLITCHING PHOTOGRAPHY
HASSELBLAD CENTER, GOTHENBURG CURATED BY LOUISE WOLTHERS AND NINA MANGALANAYAGAM
8th Feb - May 4th 2025

Bugs & Metamorphosis: Glitching Photography is an exhibition that explores "bugs" in two intriguing ways: both as technical glitches and as tiny creatures, insects. By combining these two perspectives, the exhibition creates a visual experience that’s playful, critical, and thought-provoking. From digital mishaps to insect-inspired art, the works challenge our understanding of photography and technology.
With more than 15 artworks, the exhibition reveals how glitches can disrupt and question systems of knowledge, classification, and control. Bugs appear both as real creatures—moths, flies, bees, and other insects—and as technical malfunctions with themes like swarming, webbing, symbiosis, and extinction. The exhibition highlights the ecologies between human-made and natural forces.
Bugs & Metamorphosis provides critical insights into contemporary networked and machine-based photography. Bugs emerge through hybridity, camouflage, mimicry, and transformation. Many of the artworks are grounded in decolonial, feminist, queer, and ecological practices, embracing glitching to highlight ambiguity, unruliness, and vulnerability. Other works delve into glitches within archiving, mapping, and visualization processes. Through a mix of technologies—both analogue and digital, screen-based and installation, AI/GAN, and “low-tech”—the exhibition shows how glitches can open new ways of seeing and understanding the world.
Several of the works have been created specifically for this exhibition, and many of the artists are shown in Sweden for the first time. During the exhibition, photography and videoworks by Rashaad Newsome and Amalie Smith are shown at Gothenburg Museum of Art, and at Gothenburg Museum of Natural History works by Joana Moll, Mónica Alcázar-Duarte and Kristina Lenz and Alex Klug are on display.
Participating artists: Mónica Alcázar-Duarte (ME), Taysir Batniji (PS/FR), Jake Elwes (UK), Olle Essvik (SE), Henrik Håkansson (SE), Kristina Lenz och Alex Simon Klug (DE), Nina Mangalanayagam (SE), Joana Moll (ES), Rashaad Newsome (US), Josèfa Ntjam (FR), Amalie Smith (DK), Clare Strand (UK), Hope Strickland (UK), Theopisti Stylianou-Lambert & Alexa Achilleos (CY), Sheung Yiu (HK/FI).
Curators: Louise Wolthers, Hasselblad Foundation and Nina Mangalanayagam, HDK-Valand, University of Gothenburg
An extended public program including performances and film screenings will take place during the exhibition period. Details to follow.
Parts of the exhibition will travel to Kunsthal Aarhus in Denmark, June – August 2025.
In connection with the exhibition, the book Bugs & Metamorphosis: Field Guide to Glitching Photography will be published by Art & Theory. The book is designed as a field guide and includes an introduction by Nina Mangalanayagam and Louise Wolthers, as well as essays by Cathryn Klasto, Joanna Zylinska, Majken Overgaard, Peter Nielsen, Peter Ole Pedersen, Tintin Wulia.

Learn HTML and CSS: A Comprehensive Guide for Beginners
Introduction to HTML and CSS
HTML (HyperText Markup Language) and CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) are the core technologies for creating web pages. HTML provides the structure of the page, while CSS defines its style and layout. This guide aims to equip beginners with the essential knowledge to start building and designing web pages.
Why Learn HTML and CSS?
HTML and CSS are fundamental skills for web development. Whether you're looking to create personal websites, start a career in web development, or enhance your current skill set, understanding these technologies is crucial. They form the basis for more advanced languages and frameworks like JavaScript, React, and Angular.
Getting Started with HTML and CSS
To get started, you need a text editor and a web browser. Popular text editors include Visual Studio Code, Sublime Text, and Atom. Browsers like Google Chrome, Firefox, and Safari are excellent for viewing and testing your web pages.
Basic HTML Structure
HTML documents have a basic structure composed of various elements and tags. Here’s a simple example:
html
Copy code
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head>
<title>My First Web Page</title>
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="styles.css">
</head>
<body>
<h1>Welcome to My Web Page</h1>
<p>This is a paragraph of text on my web page.</p>
</body>
</html>
: Declares the document type and HTML version.
: The root element of an HTML page.
: Contains meta-information about the document.
: Connects the HTML to an external CSS file.
: Contains the content of the web page.
Essential HTML Tags
HTML uses various tags to define different parts of a web page:
to : Headings of different levels.
: Paragraph of text.
: Anchor tag for hyperlinks.
: Embeds images.
: Defines divisions or sections.
: Inline container for text.
Creating Your First HTML Page
Follow these steps to create a simple HTML page:
Open your text editor.
Write the basic HTML structure as shown above.
Add a heading with the tag.
Add a paragraph with the tag.
Save the file with a .html extension (e.g., index.html).
Open the file in your web browser to view your web page.
Introduction to CSS
CSS is used to style and layout HTML elements. It can be included within the HTML file using the <style> tag or in a separate .css file linked with the <link> tag.
Basic CSS Syntax
CSS consists of selectors and declarations. Here’s an example:
css
Copy code
h1 {
color: blue;
font-size: 24px;
}
Selector (h1): Specifies the HTML element to be styled.
Declaration Block: Contains one or more declarations, each consisting of a property and a value.
Styling HTML with CSS
To style your HTML elements, you can use different selectors:
Element Selector: Styles all instances of an element.
Class Selector: Styles elements with a specific class.
ID Selector: Styles a single element with a specific ID.
Example:
html
Copy code
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head>
<title>Styled Page</title>
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="styles.css">
</head>
<body>
<h1 class="main-heading">Hello, World!</h1>
<p id="intro">This is an introduction paragraph.</p>
</body>
</html>
In the styles.css file:
css
Copy code
.main-heading {
color: green;
text-align: center;
}
#intro {
font-size: 18px;
color: grey;
}
CSS Layout Techniques
CSS provides several layout techniques to design complex web pages:
Box Model: Defines the structure of an element’s content, padding, border, and margin.
Flexbox: A layout model for arranging items within a container, making it easier to design flexible responsive layouts.
Grid Layout: A two-dimensional layout system for more complex layouts.
Example of Flexbox:
css
Copy code
.container {
display: flex;
justify-content: space-around;
}
.item {
width: 100px;
height: 100px;
background-color: lightblue;
}
Best Practices for Writing HTML and CSS
Semantic HTML: Use HTML tags that describe their meaning clearly (e.g., , , ).
Clean Code: Indent nested elements and use comments for better readability.
Validation: Use tools like the W3C Markup Validation Service to ensure your HTML and CSS are error-free and standards-compliant.
Accessibility: Make sure your website is accessible to all users, including those with disabilities, by using proper HTML tags and attributes.

I think the thing I love & hate about The Web is how much it speaks to me. Like we're all nothing more than the sum of our past experiences & present pressures and if someone or something was aware of all those factors is would be very easy to predict what people are going to do and maybe even manipulate them to do what you want.
Individuals are just a unique system to learn and master like a game. I mean really, it's not fundamentally different to RNG manipulation or abusing game mechanics. That thought is very frightening.
mmmm. it's a great plot device to be at the center of a classic-style tragedy that consistently draws parallels between ideas of fate and coercive oppressive social forces, all the guiding tracks for the end are set up from the beginning and every attempt characters make to try to wriggle out into a better path has already been accounted for and just serves to further cement their end.

"Hyper-Space - The Simulation of Servitude & the Architecture of the Mega-Machine: Protag & his Guide or The Jornery through the Nine Circuits of the Divine-Fractal-Zones know as: Hell"
(a continuous working draft).
Fractal realities issue out of pre-rendered holographic sockets - digital orifices spewing hyber-cyber frequencies that rapidly enmesh the flesh via hair-like razor-wire that cuts its way into Protag's anatomy and continues eating through muscle then nerve, and as rapidly through bone as a straight razor through warm marrow.
The Bloom: suddenly at snap spine speed a whip lick pulls reversing the entire act as a sucking starts a hollow-vacuum with the a might like sudden sonic boom causing comically a gossamer of guts web spiralling out until finally be self consumed disappearing into nought but an atom sized hole - his liquidaized matter is siphoned through - within nothing more than a nano-second, sqeezing, finally out from a slimly hole now that had being doubling in size until it dilated with a yawn and gaped - an infinite explosion of malignancies echo in past ripples within ripples within ripples of neon-nuclear rainbows of klidoscopic candor that flood his pores filling hundreds of thousands of deep skin holes with atomica waste radiation: the works.
Protag -- hyper speed - fast -- forwarding, manically mind bent metamorphoses of matter, flesh - bone, from arse up to tip of his cranium - a radiating green nuclear glow gave birth to his newly formes anatomy - like a used condom pulled inside out followed by his skin pulled tautly by unseen strings - smoothed yellowish plasticity still slimly with un-birth - returned him to the manikin-man he wasn't. His mouth now a perfect O, his eyes: two Obsidian black pearls were sucked into place.
Since he was sucked and spat out now he stands rigid in the center of his square cell (a literal dummy rigid - a center the four walls, ceiling, floor, all glistening with mother of pearl, his soles wet with the now milk like liquid pearl just as it solidified gripping his now merged feet, next the sprouting started: fine fissures of gold (enrooting) circuit lines slowly branching outwards across the floor from his ankles up, multiple channels which rapidly mainlined him manikin frame as the entire pearl floor - emeshed and perfectly, engraved in an Arabesque golden spun, his mind reeled as his eyes rolled down in his plastic intombed skull - staring down at the maddeningly intricately threaded tomb floor, the fine wires tautly spawned from Protag's plasma plastic l gold circuitry system that now held him firmly in place with his silent screams, astonished by our cybernetic opulence - all decadently crafted by an unseen intelligence.
The four corners of the of his circuit box fractured out - fast--forwardly causing a membrane of dark matter to blister before bursting forth a spiralling vortex spewing an unknown spectrum of colours - unstoppable ancient liquidity creating a Mega tonic flood of alien realities as beings contort and blend choking on a oil slick of dissolving realities, as their lung like organs fill with a vast mixure of liquidated consciousness. "What's happening?" the Guide asked...
"And why the fuck is my Maniki-Man's lights on but no fuckers home? DId I miss something while I was taking my break in the Opium den?" (A voice answered in its usual telepathic manner). A Rare Event: A Cosmic catastrophe, - GodMeth, its inferior Fate will end its Death-Cycle-recycle. MOG is one of many a "Dream Breeder" who's endless sleep (in theory) was the True reality of worlds that formulations are beyond a mere Guides grasp. Reality, matter aeons of evolution consciousness now = an ocean the size of a galaxy... Liquidaized Reality...An Aeon on and mortification will form from the decomposition another.....its beyond your language I'm afraid.
MOG's End: a sudden rupturing split occurred as his dreams gave life to what you would call Reality Beinga, Entities, Cultures consciousness, emotions worlds, matter, thoughts and the entire flip side of the those finer phenomena .... splitting open of MOG's gigantic cruiuim bust open causing a vast chasm caused his matter to liquidise - dream-worlds to issue out the chasm causing a Mega-Conscious-Tsunami to flow in floods as mega-wave of unimaginable size - to deluge to space and time as hyperbolical oceans of un/consciencesnes to merge with past dreams from other worlds with other matter made but alien in this explanation worlds.
as their reality blends into ink loosh souls forming pure white scum that roll with in the waves-geometrically-fractacting worlds now no more then a minor oil spill in the vast deluge of the unconscience dying dream stream a "Cosmic Oceanic Dream flood".
The last reality Protag had momentary experienced before his dissolution as his essence merged with the great toxic conscious spill, his mind-ego now lost a drift. The room however reformed like a liquid rubix cube his encased anatomy now mindless. However things elsewhere continued its issuing circuits in all directions until the entire four walls where imprinted in a this suddenly sickly seeming circuitry cy ber ne tic sicknesss viral>>>>virus. it's once gold laced circuit boards started uprooting in random places breaking out in a spontaneous spores - acid blistering like some kind of sick binary bacterium fungal growths clusters forming foaming flora causing a green glowing phosphorus haze: cyber-C growths rapidly ate the opulence with Pac-Man malignancy. Yes Protag may have survived that torture? But now his puny oil spot of consciousness was still tying to stay a float and not drown in the deluge of a the dead gods ruptured flow of dying dreams the flood now the size of vast minor galaxy. And its decomposition had yet to cause the Great Decay the 3rd in only 7 aeons.
It starts circuitrty channels start issuing out from his toenails before inverting into our Human's legs up until his anatomy is entirely enmeshed -- then within a nano second and the all but last empty vacuums of space within cell are filled with via fractals of intricately arranged geometrical lines of fine liquid diamond razor wire bites into his flesh causing four seconds of indescribable pain until they pass through entirely finally -- suddenly his mouth piece begins issuing a semi-translucent klidoscopic light filling the last of any remaining space causing a pin prick black hole in the bottom corner of the cell which then in a nano dilutes suddenly sucking at him and the fractal room into its seemingly gaping black oblivion until he emerges breaking through a pink plasm film until he emerges screaming into what was once - Mexico now - Neo-XiKo, and the year - 2510 now a vast wastelands with clusters of chemical labs grinding mutanted strains of the rotting meat of native tribesmens rotting corpses mashed together with malign vines waiting to be processed in the gas chambers. Torture chambers. Chambers and more chambers.
Opium poppies with sigils carved into the pods (an attraction tactic to harvest Need Freaks far and wide) growing wild mutated overgrown covering old abandoned crack flats and cat houses. Pumped but limp seeping milk into thousand drip drops from their oversized pods that were rapidly lapped up by the Cat people before the milk hardened (sometimes in long urine-like slashes) up like dry wax, huge pale puddles of drying gum, the junkies wait once the beasts have had there fill. Dozens of Ayahuasca fill silos circle the chemical labs where raw opium is rendered into Hydo-Fent, cooking up even more potent opioids via chemical combinations - an infinity of numbers making mouculer geometry - atoms arranged into new chemical nightmares. Never ending nightmares.
Vast gigantic Fly Agaric mushrooms droop over the wastelands their vast red caps decomposing slowly in the sun causing the speckled white spots to melt and slide off the caps like some hallucinogenic cottage cheese.
Dozens of thin crucifixes sixty metres high tower into the sickly yellow sky swaying over the crack stalls and brick factories and torture cells, like macabre satellites of wood and meat, the crucified long since stopped screaming now puretrfied sacrificed nailed high corpses now only alive via the parasites that feast off them ... while they lay in wait for hosts of crow, vultures and so on. ...The very First of the Crucified nothing lives - baked to beautiful bleach pink encrusted husks, rendered that way from the radiating rays of the atomic eye, the pulsating blood orange that is the, Sun still rising (has it never) to claim itself as the only legitimate god of the Wasteland: Helios.
Our Human walks already blistering naked reborn dead - and continues into the first Circuit, his guide known simply as the Other, walks beside him, imitating his every move and gesture, our Human or HIM and his doppelganger guide now begin to finish the tame tour of this first of the nine Circuits...They slowly pass in pulsations through yet another field of Opuim poppies - forever in process of Harvest, by once tortured souls who continue to slice sigils into the oversized poppy pods to siphon its "Need" (an enegry of monumental parasitic importance in this realm) it issues out an essence of white smoked delirium tinged with aniseed, it rapidly forms in a sepia spirit that's nano-siphoned off for eartly dimensions, enriching the rich milkly sap that draws drips and dries rapidly under the Sun, their black blades expertly gather the fattening opium gum, as both Human and his Other (or Guide) pass through these ghosts of this spetic ozone essence, an eternity passes until both come to stop at wire fence that itself is covered in handmade small straw dolls with pins covering each and everyone, also - scarlet occult sigils seem scrawled across practically across all of them - those small dolls - all made of tightly wrapped fraying string as dry as old bones. Licked red. The pins too ... red with rust. A galaxy of them spetic pricks dripped a Zippy yellow coloured oil from each and every thousand needle eye. The sand absorbs it like a toilet mop absorbs piss.
At last the wire gate eerily swang open, letting them pass through as it swings back into place behind him and his guide, walks on, the a malignant stench followed by a frantic wind passes through them leaving a think kildospocic coloured membranous plasma across their now naked bodies: this signifies the next Circuit is in post.
The transition caused or Human to suffer a vivid sensation of a spider slowly crawling across his brain. A rancid shudder gooseflesh and a ripple of fear caused a tightening of his balls. He sensed before being informed by his guide he had entered the following Circuit, a sudden explosion of De jvu so intense it caused his knees to buckle as soon as he thought it would never leave it left. And he regained his composure.
Coffin lengthed-sized rectangular blocks of quivering green jelly containing screaming children stretched as far as the eye could see, (in all directions), they were seen lite up but for the black everywhere ... was HIS first vision. In seconds they solidified to stone and turned black disappearing but for a vague green outline of lines, all but the screaming children remained, and it never stopped until it was eventually a vague unconscience din.

Selecting the Best Content Management System for Your Business Website
The content management system (CMS) powering your business website significantly impacts its capabilities, performance, and ease of use over time. With web developers today spoiled for choice between open source CMS options like WordPress and Drupal or proprietary systems like Adobe Experience Manager and HubSpot, the evaluation process proves daunting for companies. When embarking on a website project or redesign, stay focused on your organization’s unique needs, resources, and business priorities when weighing the pros and cons of various CMS platforms.
First, take time to thoroughly consider what types of content, assets, and functionality matter most to your brand and audience day to day. For example, blogging, news publishing and journalist teams center heavily around text creation and workflow. Multimedia creatives and marketers, however, need robust digital asset management and organization. Let your website designer align technology recommendations to your primary content focus and goals.
Also, realistically assess the technical skills and resources your team brings to the table for effectively managing the CMS if opting for an open source platform like Drupal or Joomla. While extremely powerful, these systems demand solid web development expertise to customize, which represents an added cost. Simpler tools like WordPress may suffice.
Evaluate prospective CMS options in regards to built-in workflow capabilities as well, like approvals, permissions, and multi-channel content publishing abilities out of the box. Understanding your collaborators’ needs shaping real-world content operations keeps implementations smoother. Select CMS tools accordingly.
Importantly, test and ensure any short-listed CMS easily integrates with your other vital back-end systems like ecommerce engines, CRM platforms, marketing automation tools, etc. An experienced website designer already familiar with related integrations will recognize any limitations or hurdles.
Lastly, the ultimate CMS decision should effectively balance your desired functionality wishlist, readiness of staff resources to leverage the platform fully, and sufficient ease of use for non-technical folks who will actually manage content. With an expert website designer guiding the process holistically using these criteria, your ideal CMS solution match for current and future needs emerges.

When I spoke to Ekateryna Derkach over a videoconference call on May 25, she looked bleary-eyed. The night before, according to Ukraine’s Air Force, Russian forces had launched 36 Iranian-designed Shahed drones toward key infrastructure and military targets in western regions of the country. In their apartment roughly 15 miles outside Kyiv, roused by the off-and-on whine of air raid alarms through the night, Ekateryna, her husband, Andrey, and her 6 and 12-year-old boys took cover in a hallway corridor and in the bathroom.
Russia’s aerial bombardments of Ukraine’s cities have left people in a state of constant high alert. “We cannot sleep at night, we are all very tired,” says Derkach, a 36-year-old press manager for a US-based IT company with an R&D office in Kyiv. “They start these missiles at 12 o'clock, [or] at three o'clock, when it's really hard.” But thankfully casualties from these attacks are increasingly rare, at least in Kyiv, which sits under a defensive umbrella of anti-aircraft systems, including US-made Patriot missile batteries, which in May were credited with shooting down 13 Kinzhal hypersonic missiles, some of the most sophisticated weapons in Russia’s arsenal.
But that air defense—and other core elements of Ukraine’s war effort—rely on shrinking US and NATO supplies of weapons. In the southeast, the Ukrainian armed forces have begun their long-awaited counteroffensive, expending huge quantities of matériel—laser-guided rockets, artillery shells, howitzer ammunition, and of course, drones, which are in some ways the defining weapon of the conflict. The war’s demands have strained the country’s supply chain and those of US and European allies. Stockpiles of rockets and missiles and the parts needed to build them—from titanium castings, ball bearings, and explosives for ammunition to solid rocket motors, ruggedized microchips, integrated circuits, and optical sensors—are reaching dangerously low levels. The US has already stopped transferring Javelins, the long-range, portable anti-tank missiles pivotal to stopping Russia’s offensive early in the conflict.
“We’re at the point, where, with some things like artillery, if we wanted to give the Ukranians more, we’d have to take them away from some of our units of the National Guard,” says Marc Cancian, a senior adviser at the Center for Strategic and International Studies think tank. “We’re already at the point where [US defense officials] are not comfortable. The question is whether they’re getting even more uncomfortable.”
The war in Ukraine, in short, has exposed the challenges of keeping a modern army supplied in a prolonged conflict, and it has prompted calls for the US to rethink the funding and structure of its military supply chains, which have long relied on a small number of enormous manufacturers, century-old factories, and Cold War–era thinking. The future of the military-industrial complex may be far more decentralized, several military analysts say, with small shops, tech startups, and mom-and-pop manufacturers feeding into the defense base. It is, in many ways, a model that resembles Ukraine’s own defense industry, which has by necessity become a small-scale, hyper-flexible one, with drones and other devices being designed and built, often on the fly, in workshops and garages.
The United States has allocated more than $48 billion in supplemental appropriations for security assistance for Ukraine since the war began in February 2022. On top of that, as reported in The New York Times, the recently approved $858 billion national military budget includes a 55 percent jump in Army funding to buy missiles, a 47 percent increase in the Navy’s weapons purchases, and expanded authorization for the Defense Department to make multiyear spending commitments.
Typically, this money would be funneled primarily to so-called prime manufacturers, who are attractive to the Defense Logistics Agency, the Defense Department’s procurement arm, because they have existing relationships with suppliers and can provide a one-stop shop for order fulfillment, says Bryan Rudgers, director of government and business development at Jamaica Bearings Group, a New York-based stocking and distribution company licensed to sell parts—seals, gaskets, bearings, motors, gyroscopes—to the US government on behalf of larger aerospace companies like Eaton Corporation and Meggitt.
In the military-industrial food chain, Jamaica Bearings Group is a mid-level player, largely in the inventory and replenishment business. When fighter jets need to get repaired or retooled, with tires, wheel bearings, or other broken systems, it supplies the parts as the “sole source partner” for larger companies, who use them to produce things like hydraulic systems and sensors, which then often feed even larger manufacturers of major weapons platforms, say, F-15s.
Since most munitions being sent to Ukraine from the US are being drawn down from existing stocks, Jamaica Bearings Group is seeing an uptick in order requests. But these orders are haphazard and hard to predict, Rudgers says, making it risky for small manufacturers to hire or invest in new facilities. “They're issuing awards to companies like ours to start replenishing the wares that they have depleted. But they’re trying to do it to fill today’s needs, and not looking at tomorrow's needs,” Rudgers said.
Some factories, like the Scranton Army Ammunition Plant, one of several that produce the US Army’s 155-millimeter artillery rounds, have gone into overdrive, ramping up production of 155-mm artillery shells from 14,000 a month to more than 20,000 a month, with plans to go to 70,000 a month by 2025, Jeff Jurgensen, a spokesperson for the Pentagon, wrote by email.
But sources at smaller production facilities, including a foundry in Montreal, which produces small batches of custom aluminum parts for Javelin missiles, claim the war has had little appreciable effect on their businesses. Though the company is included in a subcontracting deal for the fulfillment of a joint $16.5 million Defense Department Javelin production contract awarded to Lockheed Martin and Raytheon in 2019, taking on new work would be difficult.
“Foundry work is not that easy to get up and running and expand,” as one employee of the company, who spoke on condition of anonymity, says, citing worker shortages as a lingering problem. “You could add a second shift, weekend or overtime work, but to suddenly come into a new multimillion-dollar building … that wouldn’t be done unless there was a huge amount of work.”
The promise of on-time delivery is table stakes in a cutthroat industry in which prime contractors have the power to make or break deals. Training new engineers or technicians, or shifting positions to boost capacity for long-tail orders could threaten the timelines of existing contracts. Plus, a manually intensive “lost wax” casting method, in which molten metal is poured into molds, is done in small batches of a few parts a day and requires exacting dimensional specificity. Unlike at an automotive factory capable of mass production, “every single part has to be individually made,” the employee says.
A lot of equipment being sent to Ukraine isn’t, strictly speaking, military gear, and is being produced by smaller businesses outside of traditional US and European acquisition channels. MacroFab, a Texas-based cloud manufacturing company linked to a network of roughly 100 factories in the US and Mexico, is “seeing a huge demand for consumer tech, like satellite communications tools and machine vision being adopted for military use,” says CEO Misha Govshteyn. “We don’t always know where products we build go, but our customers tell us privately we know these products are headed for special forces in Ukraine.”
At least a dozen companies have worked with MacroFab to ruggedize consumer-grade electronics for use by Ukrainian forces, typically by modifying digital prototypes into fabrication protocols that are sent to factories with the capacity to churn out built models quickly. Products range from circuit boards to activate the claws of drone grenade drop kits to hockey-puck-sized satellite base stations valuable to military units because they can keep communications running when cellular internet signals are jammed or spoofed, Govshteyn says.
Among the bottlenecks MacroFab is facing is in microchips, where high demand in consumer products, autos and other areas is far outstripping supply. “The constraint is coming from demand from numerous industries, but the negative impact is felt on products needed for the war in Ukraine—field programmable gate arrays, high-power field-effect transistors, and iridium receiver chips,” Govshteyn says.
To keep pace with orders, which, once finished, are often sold directly to NATO, MacroFab has hired 25 employees within the past nine months: “All this is urgent, and when they place these orders, even though they're placing them for consumer technologies, it's life and death. So they're always asking us to move faster,” Govshteyn says.
The speed and responsiveness needed for modern warfare is also why so much of defense manufacturing is happening on the fringes of the big contracts, according to Brett Velicovich, a former US Army Special Operations intelligence officer, who has brought thousands of drones into Ukraine since the start of the war.
After serving multiple tours in Iraq and Afghanistan and running counterrorism operations and drone strikes against terrorist leaders, Velicovich has more recently turned his attention to humanitarian work, going to Ukraine at the start of the war to extract stranded Americans and, later, helping the nonprofit humanitarian organization UkraineFriends.org evacuate and house Ukrainian refugees and deliver millions of dollars of aid—including 90 ambulances, 75,000 individual first aid kits, 50,000 wound kits, and hundreds of laptops—to civilians, many of whom serve in informal territorial defense units on the front lines.
These aid shipments are often sourced from private donors; their delivery might involve, say, packing 50 to 60 duffel bags of medical supplies on a US commercial jet to Warsaw, passing through Ukraine customs, then loading the bags on trains or rented buses and driving them to makeshift distribution warehouses. Velicovich also works through back channels to deliver drones acquired from private companies to military groups or aid organizations in “serious, pretty dangerous environments,” using open source mapping technology to track the movement of Russian forces.
Ukraine has an almost unending need for drones, which it has used to great effect on the battlefield, but which are quickly expended. The Royal United Services Institute, a London-based think tank, estimates Ukraine is losing 10,000 drones a month, largely due to Russian electronic jamming; that means they need to be shipped in, or built quickly, to sustain their impact.
Often, the need for flexibility in supplies means that systems are being purchased outside the “sausage making and voodoo” of large-scale US defense contracts, says Andrew Coté, chief of staff at BRINC Drones and former deputy secretary of defense for special operations for the Defense Department. BRINC has delivered 60 glass-breaching Lemur 2 search-and-rescue drones to comb shelled urban buildings for survivors. Often, Coté says, he’s communicated directly with Ukrainian intelligence officers and military officials over Signal and WhatsApp to coordinate deliveries.
Even before Ukraine’s defenders showed the world how effective drones could be on the battlefield, the US was looking at how it could quickly adapt civilian tech for the front line. In 2020, the military’s Defense Innovation Unit selected a handful of drone companies in a competition to design an “inexpensive, rucksack portable” security and reconnaissance drone. One of those was Teal, a company later acquired by another drone manufacturer, Red Cat. The company, which was awarded a total of $2.7 million, worked with the DIU to convert commercial drones costing between $7,000 and $15,000 to meet military specifications.
Since then, Jeff Thompson, Red Cat’s CEO, says, the company has had time to source scarce parts, assemble engineering and product teams, and build out a new factory in Utah that can produce thousands of drones per month. “We are just cranking out drones right now at a great pace,” Thomson says.
Red Cat recently announced that it will fulfill a purchase order to provide 200 long-range, high-speed FPV (first-person view) drones to Ukrainian drone pilots engaged in conflict with Russia. Often operated by former Drone Racing League competitors embedded inside Ukrainian tactical units, FPV drones have been the rising star of the battlefield because of how inexpensive they are to make—some versions can be churned out for as little as $500—and their speed and agility.
Building smart, rather than big, systems, and trusting smaller, more innovative companies, might just be a way to fight wars without breaking the bank. It’s an approach for which the US may look to Ukraine for inspiration. While they still need Patriot Missiles and high-tech artillery, in underground warrens and retrofit manufacturing facilities across the country, Ukranians are using 3D printers and CNC lathe machines to weaponize consumer-grade drones with cameras and aftermarket drop kits.
“If the US, the Northrop Grummans, the Boeings, the Lockheeds of the world understood, actually, how the Ukrainians are doing this on the cheap,” Velicovich says, “they would be out of business.”
