April for My Personified Months!

April is truly a blooming time of year, it's also when I often see so many bugs popping up again. So I made them a dragonfly with a flower motif!

I don't think I've ever made a dragonfly character before, and I also wanted to branch out a bit with my color choices.

People seemed to be into my weird furry idea, so I’m gonna make more! Again I encourage everyone to try this out as not only does it make for some cool designs but it can push you out of your comfort zone and make you draw stuff you’d never draw otherwise! Literally just google “weird animals” or “obscure animals” and you’ll have a million options lol.

Practicing drawing new things- even if it looks kind of bad- is never a bad thing. Lotsa love to all the awesome folks showing interest in this project!!

Any suggestions of weird animals I should anthropomorphize? Pop em in the reblogs or replies (reblogs appreciated especially, helps spread my art more!). June for My Personified Months!

I don't have much else to say other than June is a sweltering time of year! I decided to make them a sun/light themed critter to represent this- no specific species in mind this time!

(I didn't think to make them pride themed.. maybe next year!)

Little guy I did for RayneKloud’s six hour character design contest for the prompt food. I actually whipped this bad boy out in just under five hour.

Contrary to their name the Cherry Fish is a semi aquatic arthropod found living in small bodies of freshwater. They are named after cherry fruits due to their strong resemblance and, most notably, how they are always found in pairs.

The two individuals are connected by a strong membrane protruding from the backs of their heads. Labs have found that the individuals share dna make up yet have individual brains. When studied, it is reported the two act as individuals, even demonstrating different personalities. Fossil records indicate they have been born in pairs exclusively as far back as 200 million years ago yet there is no evidence to why they evolved this way. If the membrane is severed both will die and if one dies the other will as well.

Cherry fish live in large numbers of about 20 to as large as 50 pairs. They are highly social, often seeming to pick favorite individuals and behaving as if distressed in groups smaller than 10 pairs. They are a monogamous species which mate for life. On average they lay 1-4 eggs and will mate only once or twice throughout their lifespan. Once hatched the parents and entire group of cherry fish will care for the babies. As children they have a green colour and will age into a more “ripe” red.

They are quick insectivores who feed in the early morning and evening. Through the day they float on the surface of the water with their gills submerged soaking up the sun and at night dive underwater and bury in mud to sleep. Fish and other predators know to not try and eat them as they are poisonous.

Had a fun little idea for a design challenge for myself of "If I'd just been given a basic description of the Hilda characters, but I'd known what their personalities were like, what would I imagine they looked like?"

finally had some time to do a piece!! i wanted a silly goofy design warm up, so i designed my persona as if she was a genshin character!! i figure she'd be hydro, and fontaine is my second favorite nation, so i took some inspiration from navia. i love love rain, so her powers probably have something to do with the weather loll. lowkey it feels like she would be a four star😂
