Beavis and Butthead #24 (February 1996) by Marvel Comics
Stealing Christmas sounds like a very Grinch-y thing to do...so it's perfect for Beavis and Butthead.  Written by Sam Johnson and Chris Marcil, drawn by Rick Parker.

Episode 367 - Andrew Rea of Binging with Babish on Nate Bargatze - The Tennessee Kid - with Special Guest Chris Marcil (via ComedyOnVinyl.com)
New Post has been published on ComedyonVinyl.com
Andrew Rea makes food and you can watch him do so.  He’s also a huge comedy lover, including the work of Nate Bargatze, making it the first time a guest has picked a former Comedy on Vinyl guest to discuss.  For the second half of the episode, we take a detour as I surprise Andrew with Chris Marcil, writer for Frasier (Andrew’s favorite show) and NewsRadio (my favorite).  There’s a lot of Frasier talk and they’re both delightful guests.

A Wedding in Potomac
Tumblr media
It’s time for a new wedding on the Real Housewives-series and I’m so grateful that we only got to see one episode of the crying bride and not a whole season, like we have to endure with Eva Marcille Sterling on RHOA.
And the drama she’s having with her mother is actually interesting. I think there’s a lot of people who can sympathizes with Candiace Dillard and recognize their own crazy family with her situation here. I don’t think that Candiace did anything wrong by inviting her estranged brother to her wedding. This is her mother’s problem and she can’t demand the world to walk around her problems. It was nice to see that Gizelle Bryant was supporting her decision to bring her brother.
Isn’t Candiace and Monique Samuels the new energy of RHOP? I love the show but I may love these two more than I love the show. It was nice seeing everybody together under one roof, but it’s apparently a lot of issues in the air after the reunion. Gizelle is pissed at Monique for what she did to her relationship with Sherman, Karen Huger is pissed at Gizelle and everybody is pissed at Ashley Darby it seems.
But all in all I have to say that this was one of the most beautiful weddings I’ve ever seen. The details in their reseption hall was just incredible beautiful, I died a little bit. It was just so gorgeous! And then she sang to her husband, and it was soo sweet! I adore Chris Bassett and Candiace. They seem like a really sweet couple.

I recently noticed that on the WWDITS Writers Guild of America Page...
they are now listing the writers for each episode of season 4, but not the episode titles. So being the mentally-well person I am, I cross-referenced the leaked episode titles with the writer(s) on each numbered episode, then I noted some thoughts on the content of the episodes and what past work the writer has done. I think it gives us some idea of what to expect from the tone and style of each episode. Details under the cut:
DISCLAIMER 1: Do keep in mind that just because certain people are credited as the “writers” of a given episode, it’s still likely that everyone in the writers’ room - staff writers, script editors, the producers, showrunner etc - contributed. Nevertheless, the credited writer can give you some idea of what to expect.
DISCLAIMER 2: I make some (probably ill-advised) statements of what I think the strongest and weakest episodes were so far. This is of course just my opinion.
Anyway! let’s have a look at the writer credits…
1.      Reunited
·        Written by: Stefani Robinson & Paul Simms
The only episode Robinson has a writing credit on this season. Maybe due to concurrent work on Atlanta? We don’t know much about the content of the episode, other than the vamps return to Staten Island and the house lies in disrepair. I expect a lot of flashbacks to what they’ve been doing over the past year. Being showrunners/executive producers, Robinson and Simms will tend to handle the plot-heavy episodes and establish the outline for the beginning and ending.
2.      The Lamp
·        Written by: Wally Baram & Aasia Lashay Bullock
Don’t know either of these writers as they seem to be new to the show as of season 4. They’ve apparently worked on Upload, Space Force, Sprung and Betty. All shows I’m not familiar with! However, the leaked scripts from the episode did make me laugh. This is the one where Nandor employs a Djinn to bring back one of his wives and do er… other things too.
3.      The Grand Opening
·        Written by: Sam Johnson & Chris Marcil
Very likely the “Nadja opens a Nightclub” episode. This writing duo previously wrote “Collaboration” (some OOC moments but a pretty funny and quite Nandermo-y episode) and “The Cloak of Duplication” (a very funny and arguably the first 100% Nandermo-y episode). They have a lot of successful previous work on Frasier, Beavis and Butt-head, Daria, How I Met Your Mother and The Adventures of Pete & Pete. Johnson is also an executive producer on the show who has co-written episodes with Robinson and Simms.
4.      The Night Market
·        Written by: William Meny & Paul Simms
Meny was actually one of the Story Editors on Our Flag Means Death as well! His previous credits are “Witches” in S2, one of my favourites, and “The Chamber of Judgement” in S3, which I think was one of the weaker episodes though Derek’s return and Guillermo’s gaslight gatekeeping girlbossing was hilarious. What we do know about this episode is that it’s  the one that features Guillermo’s family somehow, and Simms says it’s their most ambitious episode yet in terms of the scale of the supernatural creatures involved.
5.      Private School
·        Written by: Ayo Edebiri & Shana Gohd
Ayo Edebiri appears to be a newcomer to the show, having previously worked on Big Mouth, Dickinson and Sunnyside. Oddly enough Shana Gohd wrote both “Colin’s Promotion”, which is my personal favourite of whole series, and “The Siren”, which is my least favourite. I do think she writes Colin Robinson exceptionally well. This must be the episode the leaked “Child Colin goes to school” script is from. I can’t wait to see how they use special effects to accomplish this.
6.      Pine Barrens
·        Written by: Sarah Naftalis
The legend herself who wrote “The Curse” & “The Casino”. Harvey has mentioned he particularly likes how she does Guillermo’s character voice, and I’m inclined to agree. It seems like this episode will involve Seaniiiiiiiie going to a hunting lodge with the vampires, and the Jersey Devil might show up. It’s also probably named after a very famous episode of The Sopranos, so I can’t wait to see what they do with that.
7.      Go Flip Yourself
·        Written by: Marika Sawyer
We know pretty much nothing about this episode as far as I can tell. [Guillermo voice] What I CAN tell you… Is Marika Sawyer wrote “The Orgy” and “Resurrection”, two of my personal favourites (though I know some people don’t like Resurrection very much) as well as penning “Gail” and having a co-writing credit on “Farewell”. She seems to have a tendency towards goofy sex jokes which I appreciate. She was a very well-established writer on SNL amongst other shows before working on WWDITS.
8.      Freddie
·        Written by: Jake Bender & Zach Dunn
WE KNOW ALL ABOUT THIS ONE, PRETZELS AT THE READY. These fellas wrote “Brain Scramblies” and “The Escape”. Two pretty-darn-good-but-not-the-absolute-best episodes IMO. Maybe it’s of interest that the guys who gave us The Slap are also giving us the Freddie episode... Who knows?
9.      The Wedding
·        Written by: Sam Johnson & Sarah Naftalis & Marika Sawyer & Paul Simms
Recent reveals to the press suggest this will finally be Nandor marrying whoever his wife candidate turns out to be, along with Guillermo as his best man. Regular writers Johnson, Naftalis and Sawyer make a return here to write with Simms. That suggests to me that this will indeed be a big, plot-heavy episode. Eeeeee!
10.   Memories
·        Written by: Paul Simms
Another episode that we know nothing about this other than that it ends on a cliffhanger and some of it might have been shot on a wet set, but right now showrunner Paul Simms is the only one credited, so it’s probably a biggie one way or another.

Daria (March 1999)
"Depth Takes a Holiday" is the third episode of the third season of Daria (episode number 303). It aired on March 10, 1999 and was written by Sam Johnson and Chris Marcil.
Everything you're about to read actually happened.
Summary Daria encounters two kids identifying themselves as Cupid (AKA Valentine's Day) and the Saint Patrick's Day leprechaun, who claim that Christmas, Halloween, and Guy Fawkes Day ("British dude") have left Holiday Island and gone to Lawndale to start a band. Daria refuses to believe it, but is eventually convinced... starting with Cupid putting Helen and Jake under a love spell.
At Jane's house, Daria meets the three errant holidays, who've come there to jam with Trent, and takes all of them out for pizza at Pizza King, where they encounter Cupid and St. Patrick's Day. The holidays refuse to return because Holiday Island sucks; Cupid warns that this means the human holidays of Christmas, Halloween, and Guy Fawkes Day will cease to exist, but Daria and Jane don't care. Meanwhile, Quinn is convinced that her parents' newfound amorous feelings signal an intent to have another child, and starts following them around to keep them from having sex. Having failed to convince Daria to help them, Cupid and St. Patrick's Day attempt to recruit Kevin and Brittany, but redouble their efforts to get Daria's help after they actually talk to the two. A trip to the mall -- showing that Christmas and Halloween sales are dying -- doesn't convince her, nor do the annoying antics of the three AWOL holidays, but an amorous Helen and Jake prove to be the last straw.
When Daria and Jane arrive at Holiday Island, they find that it's just like a high school and that the "beautiful people" -- in this case, the President's Day presidents -- have taken over. Daria cooks up a scheme to put Christmas, Halloween, and Guy Fawkes back in their rightful position at the top of the pack by convincing them to play at the Holiday Island High School Prom. The holidays decide to stay after they see who's running the place, and Quinn is finally off the hook when Cupid's love spell wears off and Helen and Jake go back to their old, arguing selves.
Controversy For the longest time, many Daria fans considered "Depth Takes a Holiday" as one of the worst episodes ever written. The bulk of the complaints come from the "off-canon" nature of the episode, where there is no disclaimer of any kind that this is a dream or some figment of Daria's imagination. It is one of only two Daria episodes that a number of fans view as non-canonical, the other being the equally silly "Daria!" - and "Depth" is the one that's more often dumped.
There is a segment of the fandom that appreciates "Depth Takes a Holiday" for its creativity and general wackiness. As time goes on, you're more and more likely to see people admit, in public, that they liked it.
