Blog Announcement/Update ☾.

To start, please let me genuinely thank you all from the bottom of my heart. Your encouraging words that you’ve re-blogged, DM’d or shared with me outside of Tumblr have really been a soothing balm. I am truly humbled and grateful. Overall, we have an amazing community here, and I enjoy interacting with everyone in the fandom!

After much thought and deliberation, I’ve decided that I will continue translating and posting on Tumblr. However, I am still exploring the option of other platforms, but I will be here indefinitely.

I made my mind up earlier today when I was translating a collab story for myself, and I just couldn’t overcome the feeling that I want to share with everyone what I am able to, especially when I know there are some who particularly love this suitor. That was the entire point of this blog….well, what it ended up morphing into.

I thought to myself, “It’s not fair to withhold this gold from others.”

And when I got home, I was surprised by a DM I received from a blogger who presented evidence that my post(s) had indeed been reported. I am exceptionally grateful to that person who has put my mind at ease, and though I submitted an inquiry to Tumblr, who knows when I’ll hear back from them. So, that was perfect timing!

Further, how the hell could I call myself Mrs. Jazza, if I let someone who clearly has nothing better to do with their lives to have the final say? There. Is. No. Damn. Way.

I won’t go on a tangent like I did the other day, but if you don’t like what someone posts, then block them, don’t be whatever you are and report other people. If you don’t like me, block me. I don’t care. I’ll block you too if you want, just let me know.

In any case, this is how things are going to go with regards to current WIPs and re-posts.

Current WIPs will take priority.

Reposts will currently go as follows: Jude’s Bond Level 27, Ellis’ CE Story and Master List will be entirely recreated and reposted, followed by the remainder of Jude’s Bond Levels, and finally the Body Swap Story.

For the re-posts, I will not be tagging those in my tags list. You’ve mostly like read them anyway, and I don’t want to bombard you.

Could I maybe ask you all for a favor pretty please?? If you happen to notice anymore posts of mine being "sent to heaven", would you mind DM'ing me or sending an ask to notify? I'd really appreciate it!

Since I don’t know who is reporting my posts, I will most likely have more of my other translations deleted, if that happens, they will be reposted. If I have CGs I will try to post the stories again with those, otherwise, it’ll just be the story itself.

I will begin Jude's story and then translate Nica's end thereafter.

he's the mc how do u have beef w him so bad, interpret him however u want but if you genuinely dislike him... why put yourself thru the torture of reading his story (and this is about him, no way to argue against that)

like are you just gonna ignore all his development with the other servants... he is the epitome of an allegorical queer coded outcasted non human character who finds kinship in other odd (queer) people. how are you ignoring that lol

you can interpret main characters as morally grey or evil (a lot of times they are) but atp it feels like antis hate him and ignore any changes or developments in his personality, at least acknowledge him as part of the 'phantomfam' he helped to create. there would be no phantomfam w/o sebastian because there would be no o!ciel and phantomhive manor w/o sebastian,,, hell, there'd be no kuroshitsuji w/o sebastian. actually fun fact it's called 黒執事 kuroshitsuji (black butler) not 貴族子 kizokuko (noble kid).

they hate him until they sexualise him into the molds they want, usually within the ships they like [nothing wrong with those ships per se but they're viewed as 'correct' while the most canonical ship is wrong(?)] or they only love him after they take away all his sexual characteristics and turn him into a cat loving spinster, a dad/mom figure with no other characteristics other than (1) love cat, (2) dad/mombastian, (3) cooking and cleaning, nothing else but that ruins him because he's not that flat of a character in the original work... from what we've seen he likes a lot of things, he enjoys playing this butler game with ciel, he likes being mean and flirty, he likes being around certain humans like agni who he genuinely seemed to respect despite being a demon, he likes the concept of death and finds it beautiful, he has an eye for fashion and a lot more.

the way they treat him is akin to how society treated women in the victorian era... either the angel of the house (maternal figure, or in his case, paternal but they do momify him a lot, no sexualised identity or made limited and very 'pure'/'demure') or the hated demonised prostitute (evil evil demon taking advantage of little boy, no parental feelings and no feelings AT ALL, worthless). it's laughable how half of the fandom have such an innate dislike of sebs that they want to deny the changes within him or in the best case scenario, they'd minimise it. not to mention how they want ciel to be the perfect little sex-repulsed victim but other people have made posts about that before. my focus is on sebastian who is so grossly mischaracterised by antis, they are either purposely misunderstanding him or just very obtuse.

Regarding the Phantomhive mom au, i've been wondering how the mom will deal with the marriage of his sons. Will she have a breathe of air or she will be reluctant about it?

The relationship of mom and the twins is complicated.

She loves them in a way because she did birth them, took care of them and they aren't horrible to her 100% of the time.

In the first few years of their lives, they were just sweet and innocent babies who didn't know what their dad had done to their mom.

She hoped they would stand up against Vincent, but alas.

So when they both get their respective partner and both get betrothed, the only thing she prays for is that they aren't treating their wives like Vincent treats her.

And they don't! They are pretty good husbands.

While [redacted], or as a follower suggested I call him Sirius (one of the theorized names), does live somewhere else, not too far of course, Ciel owns the estate after he became earl.

Normally the parents would move to another house, but in this case no. That will not happen, ever.

Maybe if Vincent wants some alone time they go to this tiny cottage on the outskirts of London where they are completely and utterly alone.

So Ciel is still with her all day every day, but he's swamped with work most of the time.

Sirius tries to visit as much as he can, but he has a toy store to run.

So yes, it's quite a breath of relief when they get married. They actually behave more like normal sons' now that they have a wife and own businesses. They don't have time to obsess over their mother with all these new responsibilities.

The mom is quite content with all this. The only dark side is, is that Vincent has nothing to worry about anymore. No business trips, no social events, no nothing. He can spend all his time with his wifey.

Contains Spoilers for Ellis' Route (His Tragic End in Particular)

*This is just a personal fun rant and little bit of word salad*

You know I was a little disappointed when I learned how they correlated Ellis' tragic end with his fairytale.

So, in his MLE, Roger tells the MC that he is fated to be cut down and die at the hands of justice. Now, while I adore Ellis and wouldn't want him to die, it's actually a fitting tragic end for his curse - especially for the sins he's committed. I mean, think about it, my guy kills people like he's dusting his bookshelf.

What irritated me was that Roger says it's based off the Prince from his fairytale hacking away at the briar thorn hedge in the Sleeping Beauty fairytale. (That's Disney's version and that's disappointing imo.) I was hoping that they'd stick to Brother's Grimm version of the fairytale since it's so short (literally like 2 pages long), and so vague that they missed an opportunity to create something original.

Just an FYI, in Bros Grimm version of the fairytale, the briar thorns turn into beautiful flowers and peel away of their own accord for the Prince so he can enter the castle to awaken the princess. Quoting from the fairytale:

"When the prince drew near the hedge of thorns, it was changed into a hedge of beautiful large flowers, which parted and bent aside to let him pass, and then closed behind him in a thick hedge."

True, that's not very tragic for the thorns and it's a rather happy ending, so I understand why the writers may have struggled to turn this into a tragic ending, and thus borrowed from Disney's version.

Still, what I appreciate about the lack of detail from Bros Grimm was that it doesn't explicitly say what happened to the giant flower hedge after the prince awakened the princess, & they got married. All it says is that once the prince entered the castle, the flower closed up behind him.

So then, what happened to the giant flower hedge after that? Did they burn it down? Did they hack it down? They must've done something if they were to ever leave the castle again, OR was this an after effect of the 13th wisewoman's curse, trapping them inside forever?

Now, call me crazy, but I feel like that could have some potential in terms of Ellis' curse of being bound by sin and his happiness being linked to binding/ensnaring those for an eternity in their happiest moment by killing them. I mean you've woken up from a 100 year rest and got hitched to a prince who risked his life to save you, who wouldn't be happy about that in a fairytale?

I shouldn't expect much from Cybird and overall, I do like how they utilize certain aspects of Bros Grimm, especially with Jude being the 13th fairy (or wise-woman), but still I guess as someone with an active imagination, it's a tiny let down, and I guess I care about it so much because Sleeping Beauty has always been my favorite fairytale since I was a little girl.

Well, my mini dissertation is complete, I haven't done something like this in a while, as usual, it's just for fun.

People in real life can and often do find cows/pigs/chickens/etc cute while still being meat eaters. Meat farmers often care a lot about their animals and even are affectionate towards them. I myself raise insects as feeders for my frogs and said insects are my precious adorable babies and I give them the best life untill the end. These concepts can perfectly coexist. Also you're mean and I don't like you.

I really truly dislike parental Sebastian or when people try to humanise him or his relationship with ciel

Like ciel very explicitly made a contract selling his soul, he hasn’t forgotten that? He knows damn well it’s all transactional, reliant on what they can get from each other. that much is obvious in the green witch arc

Like he’s fully said well into the manga how he trusts Sebastian ‘least of all’. Ciels a smart cookie he won’t fall for Sebastian’s perfect butler act when HE’S the one that ordered him to act like that in the first place

That’s not to say that ciel doesn’t find comfort in Sebastian which I feel like that’s where people misinterpret it. When ciel is helpless Sebastian is basically his tool, sword and shield all rolled into one which is SO important to consider, especially with his backstory. Ciel obviously relies on Sebastian bcs of his role as his servant, even one of the terms of the contract he made is to protect him and not betray him. WE KNOW ciel suffers from his past traumas ofc he’s going to cling to the thing that will never hurt him.

My point being ciel has never and will never view Sebastian as a person who will protect him- he made a contract with a demon to serve him and protect him, that contract is concrete and keeps him safe, THAT is his safety blanket, not Sebastian himself. That dynamic is not one where ciel can look up to Sebastian in a parental way.

onto Sebastian, I feel like people pick out parts of the story where he’s nice to someone or some shit & they say some bullshit about ‘found family’ and how’s he’s fond of the servants or whatever. Like he’s playing a role, he’s always been playing a role. When he tried to eat Ciels soul in the GW arc & he thought his contract would end, he so easily pushes finny off and ignores him- he thinks his reason the reason to play that role was over so he drops it. He does not give 2 shits, he’s only here for the contract!!

Like I don’t think he has no emotions or anything like that but I feel like he’s more amused rather than attached. He’s never been a stoic character, he shows his interest and entertainment but he’s not invested in anyone.

He’s a demon thousands of years old, it’s not his first time around humans, like he’s not a changed man, he’s not suddenly discovered the true nature of humans or found a spark that wasn’t there before
