In the past, I have heard a lot about this Elvira (Cassandra Peterson), who was also a sex symbol in the Gothic-Horror genre. She also influenced the visual design of many female characters in comic books that embraced this style.

Anyway, I wanted to see what it was all about, so I watched the movie “Mistress of the Dark”. A comedy film that draws you in with the cool, mysterious, overt femininity of Elvira (I would say) as well as the Gothic atmosphere of certain scenes.

These aspects made me want to recreate the poster of the second film “Elvira's Haunted Hills”. I wanted to create something more to my taste. I was really curious about the result. I aimed to add more mystery to the character in my version, and I believe that's how the official poster could have looked if the movie's plot was serious.

It was very enjoyable for me to work on it, as with any fan-made poster I have created so far.

Nada mejor para pasar las apocalípticas dosis de calor mesetario, que un puñado de roboces y naves espaciales impresos en papel couché, mientras uno/a se apoltrona en la tumbona de playa.
