So, basically, I am learning a new language, and in the class, we were doing some exercises, and it had a listening part where it was basically like:

Character A calling character B: what are you doing?

Character B: I'm buying clothes.

So I started laughing a lot (I was trying to keep myself quiet, tho) because it reminded me of that code geass parody. "WHY ARE YOU BUYING CLOTHES AT THE SOUP STORE?"

my brother (still the incomparable joel vandelay) is a cartoonist and previously kept up webcomics for some time but as far as I knew the past few years he hasn't really been posting anything, but the reason he brought his computer over last night was so that he could work on a comic and I'm so excited!!! I have, barely seen any of it, bc like me my brother is very, secretive over Unfinished Art (and even Finished Art), but I have seen A Few Lines Be Created which is so thrilling bc he'd rarely let me watch him draw before and I love watching people draw I love seeing a thing take shape I love seeing people I love create things

Guys should I post my epic mastercomic wherein Milly and Rivalz discuss topics such as lesbianism, high school nostalgia, and immortality while their one-time besties conquer the world outside the window? It is 10 sketchy unpolished pages long, plus a lil epilogue, and was drawn entirely without references in a kind of fugue state that spanned multiple airplane rides

I know people usually use either the hand maids tale or the hunger games when making reference to how dystopian the US is getting but more recently it does feel like someone in the white house watched code geass and said yes please more of that

Anyways, I find the story in Super Robot Wars 30 really fascinating because it’s status as an anniversary game led to it being written as though it were a sequel to a SRW game that never actually happened, at least not individually.

All the classic series mainstays like Amuro, Koji and Ryoma already not only know each other, but consider each other lifelong friends and allies. Everyone is constantly making references to other great big conflicts that have already happened off screen (specifically the events of the One Year War, Char’s Counterattack, and Code Geass in particular) and spend a lot of time reflecting on the consequences of those conflicts.

Char and Lelouch strike up a friendship bonding over the fact that they are both 2 of the biggest fuck ups in recorded human history and basically every choice they made was a mistake. McGillis shows up in the DLC and they immediately identify him as cut from the same cloth they are and try to push him away from that path.

It’s all really good basically. Highly recommended if you are a mech anime fan.
