So i've been wondering. In the cartoon and comics the X-Men often call each other their aliases. They call each other Wolverine, Cyclops etc. But aren't those their mutant aliases, codenames to use in missions to keep their identity hidden? Because in the movies they only call each other by their actual names, Logan, Scott, Hank,...

Can somebody explain this to me?
