It was another one of those nights again. You could feel him tossing and turning next to you, the unintelligible words muttering into the night. Names that you had heard in ramblings whenever he came out of the Animus.

You flipped over to nudge him awake.

“Desmond?”

Another kick to your leg and you were alert, arms nudging him awake.

The names soon evolved more into more of his babblings in numerous languages: Arabic, Welsh, Italian, and many others.

You raised your voice just an octave more before Desmond awoke. Those brown eyes shot open with shock and he quickly sat up, the beads of sweat clinging to his forehead and shirt.

He looked at you, wide-eyed with the fear and confusion over taking his waking thoughts. The embarrassment began to creep through on his cheeks as he felt heated under your touch.

Stammering through his words and apologies for waking you, you just held onto him as his shoulders began to shake from the nightmares and what had been bottled up inside him for so long.

All of this, all of these demands and expectations weighed heavy on his mind. Though he admired his ancestors, sometimes you wish that Desmond didn't feel he had to carry this burden alone.

My drawings are significantly more simple than what I normally do, but this is unfortunately due to time constraints surrounding my job. Either way though, it's a fun challenge!

Day 1: Ancestor

I decided to draw Desmond with his 3 main ancestors cause 4 was too crowded.

Hey y’all! I’m going to be doing Codextober! Some of these are original stories. Some are based off of stuff ( The most dangerous game, Midsommar, Castlevania just to name a few ;) ) Some of these follow cannon while others don’t. Parings and synopsis will be inside each chapter.

Hey everyone!! I’m raffling off prints of my Codextober 2023 pieces for fundraising towards Lenda’s campaign, which is currently extremely low.

I’ve been trying to finish up commissions, but that’s been pretty slow so hopefully this can raise more interest and could be more doable.

How to enter:

Donate at least £5/$6.65 towards Lenda’s fundraiser for one entry ticket. Every additional donation gets 2 more entry tickets

There will be 10 winners drawn!

First place: 5 A5 art prints and 1 digital commission

Second place: 3 A5 art prints and 1 digital commission

Third place: 2 A5 art prints and 1 digital commission

The rest of the winners will receive 1 A5 art print

Winners will be chosen at random, and the winners will be messaged about it and receive a Google drive link to all the art pieces to choose from, and digital commissions will be customized to your liking and follow my usual terms (my do’s and don’t’s)

The deadline is October 15, starting now on September 13

Codextober '23, Day 7: Ghost

"I had this colleague. He was our boss's son. I didn't much care for him at the start. Everyone treated him like he was so bloody special. To me, he just wasn't invested in anything that didn't affect him personally. But, I was wrong about him. He became my friend. Put himself through hell. And he saved us all in the end.
