Writing Year in Review Part 2: Goals and Dreams

So with my mopes and gloats somewhat out of the way, what are my hopes for the next year of writing with all that in mind?

Build up Rising Shards readership somehow. I don't know if that involves me writing something more engaging or if I have to learn how to promote myself better, or if I have to do some wild and wacky business in how RS is delivered. I also want to build up Reborn and get lots of people reading it (See Part 3 for some ideas there), especially once all the chapters are done.

Keep writing what I want to write and what comforts me. For Rising Shards I want a cozy but fun and exciting year. Basically juggling all the RS tones and themes and such as usual. A major part of Rising Shards to me is an outlet for me to comfort and console myself through rough times. So while it's disappointing I haven't gotten to a bajillion views a chapter and quadrupled my subscribers, I do feel a need to be writing Rising Shards. I have a lot of fun, weird, and heartfelt stuff I still want to get to and because I still have a ton, I want to continue Rising Shards.

Get a wiki on my series into a good introductory shape. I want a wiki so I have an easier time keeping track of all the characters, settings, etc. and one for readers to look at too. I also want an easy set of links to each episode and I think a wiki can do that.

Other projects - I'm not sure what exactly I have on the docket this year, but there's definitely collab project, and I hopefully will finally get onto the Patreon series. One of my writer friends wants to go to a lit agent conference which I am very skeptical about, but if I go it would be kind of exciting to have a new project to pitch for it.

Plan schedule out better so I'm not so far behind all the time. I hope with my new job I'll be able to write more regularly.

Keep taking steps to the big goals like print versions of RS, comic version of RS, a video game, etc.
