well I started out college yesterday, been a weird day since then. Got left out by people many times, and generally started out late so in not such a great position. But it's good, I like the campus really, it's green, my building is just behind Nescafe and the coffee is really cheap, so in a way, life's good. but then again yeah. found Animal Farm by George Orwell in the literature section(btw I'm pursuing B.Tech), found my heaven there. anyways weird interactions throughout the day. Met someone whose name sounds similar to a very famous singer(who collaborated with Drake and Kendrick 🤠). A girl with a unique name, not really but yeah. When I was sitting in the library I'm pretty sure they were doing it on purpose and it did kinda hinder my attention, but then they finally asked what time the library closes off, and me being me took a wild guess(although very accurate) and then they left. well there's that. though they kept looking, were cute, but whatever. I need to cope up with the syllabus really, and do some shit too. although I think me making no friends do contribute to me not using any social media(Even whatsapp) and literally dumping my phone overall, not such a great idea pheraps. but yeah, some people did ask for my number for adding me to groups or for conversation purposes but my ass said, MAIL ME :p . anyways wow. thank you for making it till here. Also anyone here in IPU? main campus?

The Beauty of Indraprastha College for Women, Delhi University
By Sumedha Chatterjee, Batch 2023
In the heart of Delhi, where dreams bloom, and beauty is woven.
Amidst the dust of its ancient walls, I found myself, in these cultural halls.
I am a woman now, proud and wise, embracing my roots, reaching the skies.
In the midst of tradition and lore, I found myself wanting more.
This place is full of grace, where I found my cultural space.
In this dirt and beauty interlinked, I found my true self, and my wisdom to shine.

Sometimes it really fucks with my head when I use south Asian history to put into context just how fucking old Armand is.
Like okay he says he’s from Delhi. He’s way way wayyyy older than New Delhi (late 19th century/early twentieth depending on whether you count the land acquisition or the official founding of it.)
Hell there’s even a Mughal made district in the city called Old Delhi/Purani Dilli and despite being Old Delhi he’s ALSO older than that. Because initially Old Delhi was called Shajahanabad. Named after the emperor who commissioned the Taj Mahal. The great-great-grandson of the guy who conquered a lot of that area of South Asian a few years after Armand would have been abducted away from the era.
I’m trying to figure out what the area was called before it was Shahjahanabad because it’s been inhabited for ages. It was part of the Delhi sultanate so maybe people just called it Delhi? Idk.
I’m not really trying to make an profound statements here but … man. No wonder he says Dubai is a child lol
