The Rise of Community Solar: Making Solar Accessible for All
Our government is focusing on solar and they are continuously focusing on solar and making their effort to promote installing solar panels.
Solar is eco-friendly and easy to install on rooftops. The installation of solar panels gets more pocket-friendly with the government schemes and subsidy initiatives. As a result, more people starting investing in solar energy and nowadays you can see solar installed in every third house's rooftop. People understand the benefits of solar energy and take advantage of government subsidies and schemes to install solar panels on their roofs.
Solis Power solution is understanding the demand for solar and solar equipment that is in demand and providing you with the best solar product experience for you. Whether you want to install it on your rooftop or at your office and industry area.
What Is Community Solar?
Community solar, also Known as shared solar or solar auditoriums, is a collaborative approach to solar power generation that allows multiple participants to benefit from a centrally located solar array. Unlike traditional rooftop installations, community solar projects are typically situated off-site, enabling individuals, businesses, or organizations to subscribe to a portion of the solar array's output without the need for individual installations. This model provides access to solar energy for those who may not be able to install solar panels on their properties, such as renters or those with shaded or unsuitable roofs. Additionally, it allows for cost sharing and provides an opportunity for communities to come together to support clean energy initiatives.

The Potential and Challenges of Community Solar as a Source of Affordable and Clean Energy
Community solar is a form of solar energy generation that allows multiple customers to benefit from the electricity produced by a shared solar project. #CommunitySolar #RenewableEnergy #Affordableandcleanenergy

We are preparing to open the first phase of the Community-Based Renewable Energy (CBRE) program next week on July 11 for applications by qualified subscriber organizations that wish to build and operate a community solar facility. As approved for implementation by the Public Utilities Commission, the program will provide the benefits of solar energy to residential and commercial customers without access to privately-owned rooftop solar, including many renters and apartment dwellers. The first phase of CBRE aims to bring online a total of 8 megawatts of solar, equivalent to a small grid-scale array, in the Hawaiian Electric, Maui Electric and Hawaii Electric Light service territories. This chart shows that there are many more areas in the US that are suitable for solar. Minnesota and Massachusetts are the states who have used these programs effectively. #solarpower #communitysolar #rooftopsolar https://pv-magazine-usa.com/2018/07/26/84-gigawatts-of-community-solar-and-the-plan-to-get-there/

New project! This is CORENA's 20th Quick Win project - a 5.28kW solar installation for the Coast FM Community Radio Tasmania studio at Wynyard in Tasmania.
Project 19 for the community centre at Clunes, NSW, is now fully funded, and we already have $2,800 towards solar for the Coast FM studio, partly due to a large loan repayment into our revolving fund from one of our earlier projects (Tastex Knitwear and Uniforms) and partly due to a generous 'one panel' donation.
If you're looking for a climate-ethical gift to give this xmas, how about donating to this project on your friend's behalf? Just go to the link above and click the 'Chip in' button. It's a gift that will keep on giving over and over again as future loan repayments from this project will also help fund future community solar projects (just like the Tastex loan repayment is now helping to fund this new project).

Georgia Power and United Renewable Energy™ Expand Community Solar Program
New Post has been published on https://is.gd/NIfW8J
Georgia Power and United Renewable Energy™ Expand Community Solar Program
COMER, Ga./ Sept. 12, 2018 (STL.News)– United Renewable Energy™ (URE™) is proud to announce the completion of a 2-Megawatt AC solar facility as the first installment of Georgia Power’s Community Solar program. This project is a win for all Georgia Power residential customers, as they are now able to source a portion of their energy use from a local, clean, renewable resource by participating in Georgia Power’s Community Solar Program. This is also a win for the Comer community and the facility land owner. Hosting a solar array is an ideal way for Scott and Patricia Carey to turn previously open pasture land into a revenue producing asset. The family farm is adjacent to a nearly 100-year-old country store, in an area known as Gholston’s Stand. This lightly rolling land turned out to be an ideal location to support solar. The project is owned by Georgia Power and was developed, designed and constructed by United Renewable Energy. The associated renewable energy credits (RECs) are retired on behalf of Georgia Power’s Community Solar Program participants.
“In the farming economy, where diversification is increasingly vital, solar projects use the sun and land to bring a stable income stream to landowners,” stated William Silva, CEO of URE™. “Georgia Power again proves to be the landowner and developer’s best choice to partner with on this exciting renewable energy project.”
This project is part of Georgia Power’s commitment to expand their Community Solar Program resources across the State. This is one of many solar initiatives by Georgia Power, making Georgia a nationally recognized top 10 solar state. For additional information about the new Community Solar program and to enroll, please visit the website at www.GeorgiaPower.com/CommunitySolar.

ForeFront Power to build first community solar project for PG&E program
ForeFront Power announced that the renewable energy developer will build the first community solar project for PG&E’s Regional Renewable Choice program. The program allows PG&E customers, including those who rent or cannot install on-site solar, the option of purchasing up to 100% renewable energy from an off-site location.
Approximately half of U.S. households and businesses are unable to install rooftop solar due to space, lack of sun exposure or ownership limitations, according to the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL). PG&E’s Regional Renewable Choice program gives residential and business customers—including those who rent—an easy way to participate in solar without installing or maintaining solar panels.
ForeFront Power is developing the inaugural Regional Renewable Choice program community solar project in Fresno County. Participating customers will sign a contract directly with ForeFront Power to subscribe to a portion of the energy produced from the 1.66-MW solar project. In turn, customers will receive a program credit from PG&E on their monthly energy statement based on the kilowatt-hour output of their subscription with the developer.
Both residential and business customers may now express their interest in the project to ForeFront Power in order to start their subscription upon project completion in mid-2019.
“ForeFront Power is excited to be the first renewable energy developer to take solar to the next level through community solar for PG&E customers,” said director of sales Rachel McLaughlin. “We look forward to serving customers for whom on-site solar is not the right fit.”
For more information about ForeFront Power’s community solar project with PG&E, visit http://info.forefrontpower.com/ca-communitysolar-pge-mahal.

Woo-hoo! Our second solar installation on a rental property happened yesterday under our landlord-tenant project scheme. Huge thanks to ZNet Uralla for partnering with us on this project. Feedback so far: "owner Trish is very happy with the installation". I'm sure the tenants will be pleased too when they see the savings on their next electricity bill :) See details of the landlord-tenant project scheme at https://corenafund.org.au/big-win-projects/current-breakthrough-projects/
