I finally found some time to answer your ask, sorry for leaving you waiting so long. Work is sucking all my time away lately and I cannot enjoy my hobbies like I used to do ç_ç

So, the ask, yes... As you certainly remember, in my Modern AU headcanon of Connary Ziio is alive and is a meditation/pilates/self-defence techniques teacher (yes, she's still kicking asses!!). Mary signed up to one of her classes to learn more about relaxation, breathing techniques and master her anxiety in general. It was a moment in her life where she had to find herself, gain some self-esteem, finding her path in life, you know. Only... at the end of every class, there was this handsome young man helping his mother clean the gym room and putting the equipment away who, of course, bewitched her attention. ♥‿♥

After more lessons, when pupils need to open up about their fears and learn how to overcome what frightens them as a necessary step to develope inner peace and built self-esteem, Ziio realises Mary's going through a hard time, so in many occasions asks her to stay a while after the class, to ask her how is everything going and if the class is helping her a bit. Mary feels she can definitely trust her and opens her heart to Ziio, so they chat for a while every time. The woman often mentions her son. "Her son? Oh, that guy I see at the end of every class... He really looks like her, indeed. And he... He's got the most enchanting autumn eyes I've ever seen in this life..." Mary thinks to herself ٩◔‿◔۶ It goes on and on, every week; "Oh, really? My son too!" - "Yeah, my son watches that!" - "My son likes that too!" Until one day Ziio suggests they should exchange their e-mail addresses and talk themself about all they have in common, such as anime, music tastes, series, movies and so on.

Then comes a day... when Mary's heart beats so furiosuly that she is forced to do more than just look at him with a shy smile and ask how he is. So, via e-mail, she asks him if he would like to meet her out of the gym... maybe for a lunch together?

He says Yes. And Mary would jump and reach the second star to the right with just one flight as her heart turned to a space rocket!!! The lunch is at her favourite traditional Japanese restaurant; she talked to Mayumi, the cook, who knows her client well by now, everything must be perfect. Mayumi promised her the best Katsu Curry and Sake Rice she and her companion will ever taste! And so it was! As Mary was sure, Mayumi never fails! Connor (that is the western name chosen for the young man) enjoyed the meal so much! Then they went out for a walk and Mary asked about his true name and he helped her pronuonce it. She is so curious and asks about his name meaning, his language, his culture, she wants to know everything!! And since confusion and surprise are depicted on the young man's face... She just can't help but trying to confess she has feelings for him. Well, very clumsily, but she tries... as her face turns to a red tomato xD. Yet Connor can always ease things off and simply says he felt the same since he met her. "I must be dreaming..." is all Mary can guess as a million butterflies dance inside her soul. But the dream ends when they hold each other's hand and here comes reality as Mary's smile explodes like a supernova!

Eurovision 2004 - Number 25 - Lisa Andreas - "Stronger Every Minute"

How Lisa Andreas, a 16-year old singer in the pubs and clubs of Gillingham, Kent, England, managed to become the selection for Cyprus's entry to Eurovision 2004 is an unlikely tale. Although she was born in Gillingham, her mother is Greek Cypriot and song-writer Mike Connaris (who we've met before) had selected Cyprus as the venue for his next venture into song-writing for national finals. He has a ballad and he needed someone to sing it in the Cypriot national final.

I don't know if he knew Lisa and her mother from a history in the pubs of Kent, but he got them out to Nicosia to have a go. Unlike his previous entries, Stronger Every Minute won. Whether that was his song or Lisa's talent for ballad singing I'm unsure, but even in a vote that had 60% televoting - she won. Just.

That took her to Istanbul to represent Cyprus. Carrying all the political weight of that on her young shoulders, she was responsible for three remarkable things in the space of three minutes.

First there's the song - in a year of outstanding female ballads, this is the one that made it and perhaps that's got something to do with the start. In auditorium filled with thousands of fans she sings the first two lines completely acapella. Perfectly on pitch. You can hear some of the less well behaved audience members' audible rowdiness, but there are very few of them and when the music kicks in, everyone is suddenly awed.

Second, she's got the full vocal fry happening by the end. Her emotional connection to the song is intense and that truly comes across both on the screen and in the Abdi İpekçi Arena. Even if the song is a truly old-school ballad that could be from almost any era, her crumbling yet secretly strong voice melts hearts everywhere. It's a performance that demands full attention and maybe even a little tear.

Finally, and perhaps most importantly, in the long shot towards the end of the song, there are Cypriot and Turkish flags. And Greek flags. In Istanbul. Speaking from the future of 2024, this what the EBU dream of when they say they're non-political. They mean that people come together regardless of nations and disputes. Calling it non-political is a misnomer. This is highly political and a 16-year old from Kent is responsible for three minutes of unity between people who in the 1970s were at war and boycotting Eurovision because the other party was competing. Eurovision doesn't fix political problems, but shows that it's possible for the political problems to be overcome. Those moments of peace arise spontaneously rather than get forced.

On the night, Lisa's magnificent, magnetic performance took her to fifth on the scoreboard, a result that Cyprus would not equal or exceed until 2018.

As is often the case with young performers, her success didn't lead to a singing career. She tried out for the 4th series of the UK X Factor, but only made the second round. Much more successful was her career in dance. She's an accomplished hip-hop dancer and has performed in the London Palladium and His Majesty's Theatre as a dancer. She later taught dance and now lives in the USA with her family.

Summary: Enid gets her period. Wednesday helps her.

It was meant to be a normal day for Enid. She woke up with stomach pains however. She decided to ignore it, thinking it was just going to be hunger. She stretched as she got up, already seeing Wednesday was gone. She smiled as she knew her girlfriend would be at the Hummer’s Hut. That’s when she grabbed her skirt, shirt and jacket. Quickly changing, she slipped her shoes on and left. She caught up with Ajax, Divina and Yoko as she was joining the conversation almost immediately. Yoko looked at her weirdly then shrugged it off. She just could smell blood was all, but figured that Enid knew. She wouldn’t embarrass her, she refused to.

They were soon sat down at a bench, all the girls starting to eat their food. That’s when Eugene and Wednesday were coming along, discussing Hive D and how the queen wasn’t looking too good and ways to help her. Enid half transformed, her ears and tail coming out before she launched at Wednesday and clung onto her, ignoring the stomach pain.

“Sinclair, babe, do you need a hug back?” Wednesday asked, looking at her girlfriend stoically. Enid was wagging her tail as she was nodding. “Please,” she spoke. Wednesday then hugged her back with a smile. Wednesday soon picked her up and took her to the bench, kissing her cheek as she was soon starting to look at Eugene as they continued to eat, talking. Enid just listened as she talked with Yoko, Divina and Ajax too. Soon the bell rang, and Wednesday stood up. “I will meet you in botany,” Wednesday spoke, kissing her gently. Enid waved bye as they both soon left their own ways.

It was 2 hours later, and Enid was still wondering why she had a stomach cramp. It shoul’ve been gone by then, but no, it didn’t and it was getting worse. Enid was thinking about why it was like that, before it hurt her. Sure, class had just started but it was needed. She put her hand up, waiting for Ms Connary to notice her. “Yes Enid?” she asked.

“Can I go to the bathroom please?” she asked politely, and looked the teacher in the eyes to show it was an emergency. “Of course you can,” she spoke. Enid quickly got up before she was rushing to the bathroom.

She then went over to the bathroom, and locked the door after checking all the stalls were empty. That was when she went into the bathroom, and checked. Her worst fears were revealed. She had started her period, and she didn’t have anything for her cramps or for her underwear. She was thinking of what to do before she texted Wednesday. 

‘Emergency. In bathroom. Started period and I need a new skirt (don’t have any so get some trousers please!), some new underwear and a few pads please!’ was the text. It was immediately seen, which she was thankful for. 

‘Doing it now babe. Need some water and medicine?’ was the response. Enids eyes watered, her heart fluttered. She really loved this girl. 

‘Yes please. I love you’ Enid texted.

‘I love you too’ was the response before Wednesday was rushing off.

Soon there was a knock on the bathroom door, before Wednesday picked the lock, walked in then locked the door again. “Babe?” Enid called out. “Yes cara mia, it is me,” she spoke and went to the stall, bending down silently before pushing the pads in. “May you come out so I can hand you your clothes?” she asked. Enid, embarrassed, pulled her underwear up before she opened the door a crack. Wednesday had a look of love before she was handing over the clothes then sat on the counter outside. Enid soon walked out after 5 minutes and washed her hands before she hugged Wednesday. Wednesday proceeded to hand her over some medication too, which the wolf gladly took.

“Thank you, you are a lifesaver,” she mumbled out in her neck. Wednesday smiled and kissed her. “It’s because I love you… now I have got a hot water bottle for you upstairs and I also got you biscuits and chocolate and skittles,” she spoke. “So want to cuddle? We can watch whatever you want my love,” Wednesday spoke. Enid grinned happily and was nodding.

“I love you so fucking much,” Enid spoke. Wednesday chuckled and kissed her gently before she went stoic and was unlocking the door. “Come on, let us go mon loup,” Wednesday comforted. Enid nodded, happy to skip for the rest of the day with the love of her life.

I easily found fonts that matched the requirements we had created for ourselves – although they are all similar I believe the Greycliff CF would be best as it has multiple different fonts with different weights that could be helpful for our uses within the poster and organising the information based on importance.

So, ok... Let me see how much more I can tell about my Connary...

1- Do they like late night talks?

Sure! Many a time it happens that they stay awake talking about the day, next or last mission/Connor plans with the Aquila and have some cuddles *-*

5- What do they like to do in their free time?

Walking deep in the woods or on the shore at the dock

8- Do they like look at the other while sleeping?

Yes, they both do. Even though Connor is the one who falls asleep later and wakes up earlier, so he watches Mary sleep more often

10- Do they like surprising each other with dates/presents?

Yeah, definitely, but this is Mary's speciality! By now you must know that she loves to bake goodies for him, draw and write for him every time she can!

13- Would they runaway together if they had to?

Mary would find this extremely romantic honestly... Well, I think so. Yes, they would if very necessary, even if Connor is very loyal to his duty; though one can help people everywhere.

19- How they make up after a big fight?

Usually after the impetus and angst is estinguished, they apologise to each other, saying they never really meant what they said during the argue and promising it will get better from now on as they'll learn from their mistakes. This always sounds like Mary whenever she is jealous xD

Eurovision 2005 - Number 10 - Constantinos Christoforou - "If You Go"

He's back already. Constantinos with his second appearance this year and third overall. Again, this isn't the song he took to Eurovision in 2005, it's the other song by Mike Connaris that was in the four song Cypriot song selection.

If You Go is slow. If I were to guess what song Mike had been listening to when he was writing this, it would The Korgi's Everybody's Gotta Learn Sometime. It's got a sparse, gloomy verse filled with synth noodles and artificial strings being all legato and romantic. It takes a while for the drums and fuzzy guitars to kick in. After a couple verses of this slow build, the chorus threatens to kick in with some violence.

But it peters out before it ever really gets going - becoming something more like a bridge. Then there are flutes? The instruments begin to drop away again as Constantinos ruefully contemplates a life without the one. And then it's over. What was that?

That is the sound of composer and performer playing with structure and attempting to do something rarely seen at Eurovision: Give us a mood piece. This is all about conveying gloom, despondency and a heart-shattering, stomach-sinking, dawning of reality. The brief moment of anger doesn't last long before the leaden plummet into the abyss recommences. This is a bottom dropping out of your world song.

It certainly isn't for everyone. It's definitely not very Cypriot. You won't be surprised to hear that it came last of the four songs presented in the Monte Caputo Nightclub, Limassol at the national final. I however have put in at number ten. There was a point in going through the 2005 songs when I thought this was going to win - I like it that much. If I'm going to be critical, it needs an orchestra to do all the synth parts, but this is a national final on a budget so I'll make do.

Constantinos, of course, did go to Eurovision for the final time this year and finished seventeenth for Cyprus. He didn't have to go through the semi-final (thanks, in part to Mike Connaris's successful song the previous year) and perhaps that's a good thing. I'm not convinced he'd have been successful. Constantinos did try to represent Cyprus one more time, entering the national final in 2010, and has done his shift as the Cypriot spokesperson for the scoring three times.

He continued writing and recording music for some years after this although his peak successful years were behind him. He will always be one of Cyprus's (and Greece's) favourite entries.

When I researched dragon movies for this list, I realized how few good dragon movies there are, and that’s a shame. Dragonheart is probably the most consistently high rated live-action Dragon movie I could find during my research, and it’s a movie I’ve heard of before. For a while I’ve kind of been on the fence as to whether I should watch this or not. Now that I’m writing a book called…

Yennefer: paramedic in charge [note: somehow I kinda made the people good in magic good in medical stuff]

Triss: paramedic,

Vesemir: The Chief This is obvious he has a ton of experience and he is responsible by nature.

Jaskier: He probably has worked as a voluntary worker at some point so he has training. He does PR and is the station’s spokesperson. He also does all the secretary jobs to support the chief.

Roach: the dog they keep at the firehouse :3

Eskel:  Engine Lieutenant: Eslkel is responsible, smart and hard-working. His job requieres him to move a lot around the site, he makes the hard choices for his crew.

Aiden: Runner/Messenger: Just when it comes to sitting with the patient(s) in the car wreck you might want to replace him with someone less sassy. (The runner does everything they are ordered to do. But esp. to gather information, keep in contact with dispatch and SCBA monitoring, scouting)

Andrzej (OC): Mechanic: I see him being good with technology so he got to drive the truck and operate pumps etc., can see his first job was being a mechanic. Also he’s the big guy and we need to fill at least one sterotype.

(detail: A group of two, one carries the gear the other the responsibility)

(rescue detail: are the ones who smokedives first, the ones who rescue (obviously), do first aid and turn the patient over to the ambulance crew, and does so called technical assitance, totally the poppular kids)

Geralt: Rescue-detail leader: he can’t stay out of shit but he is couragous and good at what he does, while he is definetly more street-smart

Lambert: rescue-detail: like OG Lambert is angry inside and not the most diplomatic but not nessearily bad at his craft.

(water-detail: rescues (esp. the rescue-detial if they get into trouble), are responsible for the water between engine/water-source and distributor. Secures the site (like from running traffic or darkness)...)

Findt (OC): water-detail leader: polite, patient, often concerned about safety, book-smart but has many years of experience.

Connari (OC): the candidate, water-detail: ambitous but green AF.

(hose-detail: water between distributor and branch, pull out the jumping sheet or light the scene, run and get stuff, can also work in rescue. In a non-fire call they are responsible for tech)

Coen: hose-detail leader: smart, patient(TM), quiet but extermely good at his job.

Renfri: hose-detail: chaotic lass, Coen is there to keep her in check, good with tech.
