A word on Wardpark/Cumbernauld Studios
@docsama left a comment, on S's birthday, under one of my posts and I promised her an answer with more information, as soon as I got the time. Anyway, here goes - and @docsama, sorry for the delay:

The story begins in 2013, with an ambitious Scottish entrepreneur, Terry Thomson - this guy (courtesy of The Herald, https://www.heraldscotland.com/news/15984820.analysis-three-projects-pipeline-help-productions-make-big-picture/):

He is the owner of the Thomson Pettie Group, based in Carluke (https://www.thomsonpettie.com/about-us), which has nothing to do with cinema:

You've read that right: they are 'manufacturers of fabricated metal parts and assemblies', primarily for the national automotive industry. Yet, in 2013, Mr. Thomson agreed to rent what he described as 'a dormant industrial property' - a warehouse, to be exact - to Sony, in order to host the filming and production of OL. Thus, he became the CEO of a newly created entity, The Wardpark Film and Television Studios (https://www.hackmancapital.com/scotlands-largest-most-iconic-film-studio-acquired-by-hackman-capital-partners-and-square-mile-capital/).
By 2017, Wardpark was doing so well, that a big expansion plan was announced, with the direct support of the Scottish Government, which invested £4 million via Scottish Enterprise, its business support, advice and funding agency:

And then, in November 2021, the little engine that could was sold to those two big US investors, Hackman Capital Partners (HCP) and Square Mile Capital Management LLC (now globally rebranded as Affinius Capital). In this montage, Hackman Capital Partners brought its own confirmed film studios and media management expertise...

... while Square Mile most probably funded a sizeable portion of the acquisition, simply because this is what they do best:

Perhaps an interesting detail: HCP owns and manages both the Culver City based Sony Pictures Animation Studios' Campus and the legendary Culver Studios, now rebranded by Amazon:

Back to Scotland, Wardpark Studio's sale made just about everyone happy. Mr. Thomson kept his CEO job and look who was more than thrilled about the juicy transaction:

Currently, the studio is operated by HCP's subsidiary, The MBS Group:

That means that MBS probably manages just about everything, as far as daily management is concerned, from business operations, staffing and/or property management, to lighting and grip, trucks and generators' fleet, expendables and props. Unless I could see a contract and have a precise idea, I can just enumerate all the services they offer.
At no point in time did S and C own anything of those studios. As for the Executive Producer part, that is another discussion entirely. I could be coaxed to write something about it, if you really want to know why Those Two are EPs and what does that really, really mean - because once again, I have seen and read a LOT of bullshit in here, especially in the Desperate Housewives Disgruntled Tumblrettes' corner.

If Rhodes Island is a legit pharma company, what employee benefits does it offer, is the pay good? How can 1 company attracts so many supermodels in its wake, does RI counts as Big Pharma
1) Rhodes Island offers access to the most advanced oripathy treatment and cutting edge medicine in the entire world, along with long-term health care plans provided by specialists, schooling for employee children (Doctor canonically teaches the children and the uneducated like Ifrit), training for other service jobs (catastrophe messenger, combat operator, farming, surveying, mining, etc), and even rehousing for infected that wish to settle outside the landship.
2) While I haven't seen text yet that concretely states how much the pay is nor what the average salary of Terra is, given how fucking expensive it is to train an operator to max that better be higher than world average pay.
3) Many Rhodes Island employees are actually logistics folks, rescue workers, surveyors, miners, engineers, nurses, and more. There are a ton of ordinary people on the landship, and even more in the branch offices across the world. However, as part of fundraising, PR, and gacha game fanservice, certain reasonably attractive employees act as models for Terra's fashion brands, and they're also all the playable ones. Of course.
4) No. The reason why pharmaceutical companies are so hated in the real world isn't because they make medicine, it's because they're in the medicine business to turn a profit, staffed by people who could not care less if you die of diabetes if you can't fork over your money for insulin which is incredibly cheap to make. Not only is Rhodes Island not funded by an executive board of businessmen due to having been made with the funds of the now-defunct Theresa government, the company doesn't even know how to set up funding with big business partners in the first place.
The deal with Mama John's ended up with Doctor falsely confessing to starting a drug ring to get the police to raid Mama John's headquarters. Amiya cut off their business arrangement with Wei Yenwu after upholding Rhodes Island's part of the contract, but not before Wei even partially paid them yet.
One of Amiya's lines even states that Rhodes Island has never turned a profit once, and it's been operating for three whole years.

"More than one hundred thousand workers employed at America’s railways do not currently receive paid sick days and face strict and punitive attendance policies that leave many with no weekends and little time off. At the Warren Buffett–owned BNSF, for example, workers are allotted a point balance that diminishes if they’re unavailable for work — even in cases of illness or emergency. Those who reach a balance of zero can incur a ten- or twenty-day suspension, with a subsequent zero balance resulting in termination.
These are degrading terms of work no reasonable person would accept as fair. As engineer Ross Grooters put it to Mother Jones in September, workers are essentially 'fighting for the basic right to be able to be people outside of the railroad.' Michael Baldwin, president of the Brotherhood of Railroad Signalmen — one of four unions that rejected the deal now likely to be imposed — explained that the problem has been long-standing but, for obvious reasons, has been of particular concern to workers over the past two years: 'This became a glaring issue during the pandemic when we had members who were forced by their employers, the railroads, to stay home and quarantine without pay. But really it comes down to simple things like the flu for a day or two, or a sick child, and the ability to take a day or two paid.' In a series of testimonials published by More Perfect Union, worker after worker said much the same.
A separate analysis by MPU also made clear that the dispute is in many ways a microcosm of the broader shift of power away from labor and toward capital that has increasingly defined the American economy in recent decades.
Financial filings of several major US rail companies reveal not only that the industry is incredibly profitable but also that profits have grown without a commensurate share of the gains going to workers. Since 2001, margins have almost tripled at major carriers, while the share of revenue going to labor has dropped by double digits. Twenty years ago, investors in major freight companies could expect $15 in profit for every $100 in revenue. Today, that figure is more than $41. Companies are also employing many fewer workers today, leaving those who are employed with longer hours and even less time off. Many are expected to be on call more or less around the clock and can be required to report for shifts of nearly eighty hours on only ninety minutes’ notice. Shareholders, meanwhile, have received bigger and bigger payouts.
As MPU’s Eric Gardner concluded, 'the data suggest that the money once spent on fully staffing locomotives is now spent on enriching shareholders through dividend payments and stock repurchases.' In other words, rail companies have cut jobs in order to spend less on wages and boost profits while forcing workers on understaffed trains to accept punitive conditions, longer hours, and little time off."

I'm not a minor. I'd prefer if young children didn't interact or follow, thanks in advance. 17 or 16 is fine, but anything other than that (unless i interact and/or follow first) it's a no from me.
This is a yttd rp blog for an ASU-NARO affiliated OC, Anjin Ventoure, a doll with the equivalent of a private Google website implanted in her brain. Her name is supposed to be a play on 'An Inventor," however, it is very loose with it (mainly because i did not want to name her 'Anne' or 'Annin.')
Anywho! Info under the cut.
NAME; Anjin Ventoure
AGE; The last age documented for her is 24. That is what she believes her age is. However, she is 28, due to her creation age being 4 years.
PERSONALITY; Both physically and mentally, Anjin is similar to a robot; cold and unfeeling. This is mainly because dolls like her aren't supposed to have emotions in the first place-- and she herself removed the function to feel anything. Well.. at least, tried to. If you make a good effort, you'll see something out of her. She's troubled by this, and secretly wishes she had never made that adjustment, having been forced to rely on the participants to truly study human emotion, the one thing Anjin can't get a precise definition of. Talk about 'so smart, yet so dumb.'
Anjin is driven by her never-ending search for knowledge, and often acts like a know-it-all (despite her technically being one). As mentioned before, she only thing she genuinely cannot understand is humn emotion. She will look you dead in the eye while you're bleeding and ask you why you're screaming. Yes, she is that dense.
Occassionally, she will purposefully hurt the human participants to see how they react and study them accordingly in search of deeper and more extensive knowledge. This sometimes extend to dolls if she does not have access to the participants.

Note: I typed two pages worth of lore and it was deleted due to a bad connection. See, I'm not doing that again. Maybe soon, but not now. So, instead, you will get a synopsis of what was previously written. I'll make the full version some other time.
Originally, Anjin was a lively, energetic, kind-hearted, 24 year old woman named Mirabelle Kawasaki. Her smile alone would light up an entire room. She had recently got of of law school and became a lawyer, her dream job. However, she lost the majority of her cases. She was convinced she lost due to her stupidity.
As she was sitting on a curb one day, she was approached by an ASUNARO representative that promised her her greatest wish. After some convinicing, Mirabelle signed the consent form, wishing for 'eternal knowledge.'

A month after she signed the contract, nothing changed. She still lost her cases. Mirabelle became increasingly distraught and panicky, and was eventually fired from her job.
Walking out of the office with all of her belongings, Mirabelle felt as if she lost everything. However, she had no time to gloat-- as she walked through a red light onto oncoming traffic. She was hit by a truck, dying instantly. Paramedics were quickly called, and she was hauled away.
Instead of being in a normal hospital room, she was brought into ASUNARO's lab. That is where their scientists reconstructed her body and revived her. Respecting her wish, they implanted a database in her head that acted as a search engine for her, however, they also implanted knowledge from past, successful inventors in Mirabelle's brain, as they were especially short-staffed at that time. After the procedure, Mirabelle awoke feeling absolute nothingness. It was almost horrifying how empty she felt at that moment.
She had her entire memory erased, replaced with fabricated ones of fond memories growing up in the ASUNARO facility. The scientists reintroduced herself as 'Anjin Ventoure,' an inventor for ASUNARO. She swiftly accepted this role, using her advanced brain to climb up the ranks and help build dolls. It seemed as if she had the muscle memory for all of this.
It took 2 years for her to rise up as head inventor. Yet, this was not enough for her. She began experimenting on herself, mainly her face, replacing her eyes and teeth with robotic ones. This was how she found out she couldn't feel pain. And she hated how she couldn’t feel it. Emotions are very complex.. not something her database will pick up on.
Anjin began purposefully tormenting the participants, mentally and physically, observing and noting their reactions down (a way to piss her off is to give no reaction to her antics. this will irritate her, as it will be a hinderance in her studies.) She can be nice, but when she is, it is never genuine. It is only to study.
If you play your cards right and are lucky, who knows, maybe you'll get a glimpse of Anjin being real and genuine with her feelings and voice her insecurity of not understanding emotion... but those chances are slim. I won't stop you, though.

This company is so stupid.
We're short staffed (go figure) and they decided to pull this new experiment from the company we merged with in 2020 on how we source suppliers. Basically three suppliers compete with each other for months by attending meetings and offering expertise (for free!), and we're only going to pick one at the end of the day. It has SIGNIFICANTLY slowed down the official sourcing of the supplier by leaving them in limbo beyond when we usually would.
So I've got no one contracted to work on my stuff. Then because we are short staffed, the purchasing group is taking even longer to choose a supplier than usual despite the fact that the official selection process has finally started, AND I'm losing in-house designer support in the meantime because they shouldn't still be working on this and other things keep taking precedence. I'm sitting here wasting time, getting requests left and right that I can't fill because I don't have a designated designer or a supplier to do that work.
And it's not just me - there's a massive push for these brand new programs (oh yes! My parts are completely new to our company so there is extra work that comes with that) but there's like... 3? 4? Brand new projects coming out within a YEAR of each other. This is while we're severely understaffed in engineering, purchasing, design, etc.
This company. Is so. Stupid.
