I find it hopelessly ironic that person who has been always vocal about their brand and copyrights considering it, got mad at me because I called out their use of AI pictures.
Appearently it isn't as black and white that I say. What I said was that AI is build on stolen art and maybe it isn't best idea to use them. But hey, what I know.
Rules for thee, not for me.

Dammit hate it when they strip out the lore and little easter eggs. Oh, but if it was a part of a real-life poem, there might have been a copyright issue. Maybe that's why they did it?

Olivia fell asleep in one of the aisles again...
how do you feel about ren being used in an ai chatbot advertisement?
Tumblr media
⌞♥⌝ Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I genuinely despise everything about this so much, and if anyone comes across this ad on TikTok (or anywhere else), I'd really appreciate it if you could report the video and not give it any further engagement.
I'm vehemently against the use of AI that negatively impacts artists, writers/authors, developers, creators, etc., and I don't condone the use of my art and IP without my knowledge and explicit consent — especially when it's being used in a paid ad/sponsorship. It's extremely disrespectful and I have no respect for those who do it.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DON'T SEND NEIL YOUR THEORIES, HEADCANONS, OR FANFICS!
It does not matter if neil is on tumblr, we CANNOT treat him as one of us. Neil is NOT part of this fandom. In his position he CAN'T be.
When he says "wearily cross a lot of things out" he means it!! The best way to get what you want in a story is to keep your theories FAR FAR away from the author.
Tumblr media
THIS.
I'm making this a screenshot rather than a reblog (and also not tagging Neil), because THIS is something we all need to keep in mind.
Neil is very accommodating to the fandom for answering asks and for being generally accessible and a good sport. But please, everyone, there is a legal aspect to this whole thing! If someone actually hit on the money and also sent it to Neil, this would become a copyright/plagiarism issue even if it was not intended! One careless ask with theories could throw over the whole S3 plan so far (which to my understanding is at least extant in his head).
This is one reason why the 4th wall existed in the past and there is a reason why many creators don't interact with fandom in this way (other reasons aside). It's one thing to speculate in the fandom, but it's an entirely different aspect to take this to the creator himself.
Besides, it's fandom!! You don't need permission or confirmation from the creator in order to have your pet theory or your headcanon! Theorise away! Headcanon all the things! The fun aspect of fandom is the theories, not the vindication of being told your were correct! Of course everyone can and will feel vindicated to have ones theories confirmed, but that will happen at the time of airing (should it ever happen).
Please don't ruin this for everyone.

I know there's been lots of people choosing Cardinal as a more unique new hero name for Tim (cause let's be honest, him mashing up names of two first people he could think of, both of which are his brothers, AND also a name of a fastfood chain is pretty lame).
But aside from the fact that there's already a marvel hero called Cardinal, people aren't choosing the obvious superior option:
Redstart
Redstarts are part of the same family as robins and are closely related. The painted redstarts however, on which I'm basing my idea, are not (and are classified as "whitestarts" and are only in the same genus, not family, but are still misnamed as redstarts due simillar looks), which would connect him to his origins as robin while still keeping him a separate entity.
It contains part "red" as the RR does and "start", which not only could reference his "new start" but also, considering that the "start" in the name is also archaic word for "tail" could reference him "tailing" behind the clues about Bruce's status during his debute.
The Old World name of the genus, Phoenicurus, could also reference his "rebirth" as a new hero.
Edit: redstarts are also apparently traditionally used as a symbol of change, transformation and new beginnings, which again.
Also, his suit and the painted redstart coloration and its configuration are basically the same
(pictures for comparision so you can see what I mean)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Also, his feather cape looks kinda like the redstarts tail if you replace the red on it with white, which they fan when seeking and "hunting" for bugs to make them come out
Tumblr media Tumblr media
your honor, these are the same picture
Edit: so I made a post like this about Jason if you're interested

I have watched "Fire in the sky" a normal amount of times because I'm normal about Skyfire and something that always strucks me is the scene where Ratchet is helping him after Starscream shot him.
Because he just looks so done.
Tumblr media
He is not even unconscious, he is just not getting up, even when Ratchet is encouraging him to do so.
I feel like, for a moment, Skyfire was not fighting for his life. I mean, why would he? Life as he knew it is gone. His home is in ruins. Most of his friends are likely dead. The only person left from that life is nothing like he was back then. That person just left him to die.
He might as well.
... But no, he can't die. These people need him. They didn't leave him behind, so he is going to stick by them. Skyfire gets up and fights on their side. It's the least he can do.
It's all he can do.

I think that if James Somerton 'lasted' a little longer, he would have been really into ChatGPT. Because that's a way to automate what he already did. Whether or not he was self-aware of how his actions were dishonest he (or a lackey) still needed to go to third parties directly to lift their writing. He still needed to bullshit weird correlations between nazis and closet homosexuality (?) with his own imagination. If he had been able to just, ask ChatGPT to write him something he could have eliminated all effort from his 'work' while obscuring the sources/'self-knowledge of a lack of sources' even from himself.
What he really liked being was a mouthpiece: a personality that could receive fame for reciting plagiarized and made-up stuff in a charismatic way. He invested a lot into cameras and styling and that type of thing. At the end of the day, everything he made was just 'content' to sludge through his outward facing presentation and he didn't have to really understand any of it.
Just like ChatGPT, copyright law didn't stop him, and his videos were circulated for years after people began complaining about him because of how 'easy' he was to watch which means even the minimum effort to learn that he lacked integrity was arduous by comparison. The low barrier for audience entry mattered way more than knowledge of his grifting for a relatively long time.
When people complain about ChatGPT 'stealing' from sources and 'hallucinating' we should think less about 'it's bad because it's illegal/it's violating copyright' or 'it's bad because it will lie to you with the authority of an impartial machine', because real human beings can create the same result albeit with a lot more front-end effort. ChatGPT is not special in this way.
We should be talking about how filling every sphere of life with Robo-Somertons is a bad idea, and how terrifying it is to see 'James Somerton behavior' as what corporate executives consider to be peak performance.

A DMCA take down is illegal when abused like this.
If this stands and isn’t taken to court are we allowing this company to:
* take entire control of Luigi’s likeness
* profit of off Luigi’s likeness
* control the use of his face and likeness
* are they claiming IP on the CCTV footage and images released by the NYPD? Gov owned cameras but they are claiming the right to profit off it?
* the question of ownership after this person redrew the image in her own style, it is a definitive enough step to usually invoke its own protections to the artist.
* and so much many more projections this idea could spiral off into - it’s wild
Them stepping in is insane on all counts but holy shit this is insane if not dealt with.
