And we took Gale out for his grand debut at the comic expo today! One of my makeup artist friends went at me with a brush and turned me into a guy -- so "Lady Gale" will wait until the next time I'm kitting up by myself and can't be bothered to paint on a beard. ;)

You folks, I'm SO delighted with this costume! Gale might be my new favourite costume that I've ever built. I got fantastic comments from other con-goers, and even got my Spider-Man meme moments with a couple of other Gales at the con. This was a fantastic experience -- this is only the second ever non-Star Wars costume that I've ever done (first one was Morrigan from DAO like seven or eight years ago), and my first time cosplaying a male character. Definitely a step outside the comfort zone!

10/10 would definitely wear the Wizard Hubby's robes again. Even if his leather bracers gave me a mild armour bite. xD

Any needlecrafters out there with EDS also? I'm usually an avid knitter/crocheter/sewist but my hands have been in so much pain I haven't been able to do it regularly. I guess my actual question is how do you manage your pain while doing these activities?

These are just a little self indulgent on @peachy-takahiro and I's part. We started our relationship on the back of enjoying Invader Zim together, so these cosplays hold a special significance to us. 🥺 and he totally kicked my ass at guitar hero, obviously, bc i only had two fingers. 😔

I forever dreamed of making a Vash cosplay since I was a little kid. Trigun was one of the first anime I ever watched and I was hooked. He became such a comfort character, so you could imagine the hesitation I had when I heard about Trigun: Stampede coming out. I instantly thought it was going to be a mess, but I would still give it a shot. I am SO GLAD I did.

The show provided a more updated view of the same plot of the show, the animation is beautiful and I love that Johnny came back to voice Vash. I still need to make the arm, but I am so excited to bring this cosplay with me when I meet Johnny. Literally a childhood dream come true.
