How Can the Best Accounting Tutor in Somerset, NJ, Help Students by Providing CPA Exam Tutoring?
Preparing for the CPA (Certified Public Accountant) exam is a rigorous process that demands extensive knowledge, discipline, and strategic study practices. In Somerset, NJ, students pursuing this prestigious certification can benefit immensely from the guidance of an experienced accounting tutor. Let us learn how the best accounting tutor in Somerset, NJ, can provide invaluable support to CPA exam candidates, ensuring they achieve success in their professional journey.
Personalized Study Plans
One of the most significant advantages of working with a top accounting tutor in Somerset is the ability to receive a personalized study plan tailored to individual needs. Unlike generic study guides, a personalized plan takes into account the student’s strengths, weaknesses, learning style, and schedule. This approach ensures that students can focus on the areas that need the most attention, thereby increasing their efficiency and effectiveness in studying.
In-depth understanding of Exam Content
The CPA exam covers a broad range of topics, including Auditing and Attestation (AUD), Financial Accounting and Reporting (FAR), Business Analysis and Reporting (BAR), Information Systems and Control, Tax Compliance and Planning (TCP). A skilled tutor brings in-depth knowledge and experience in these areas, offering detailed explanations and practical examples that can help clarify complex concepts. This deep understanding is critical for mastering the material and performing well on the exam.
Test-Taking Strategies
Beyond mastering the content, success on the CPA exam also hinges on effective test-taking strategies. The best accounting tutor in Somerset can teach students how to approach multiple-choice questions, simulations, and written communication tasks. They can provide tips on time management, educated guessing, and handling exam stress. These strategies can make a significant difference in a student’s performance, turning a borderline score into a passing one.
Regular Assessment and Feedback
Continuous assessment is crucial for tracking progress and identifying areas for improvement. An experienced accounting tutor will administer regular quizzes and mock exams to gauge the student’s understanding and readiness. More importantly, they will provide detailed feedback, highlighting both strengths and weaknesses. This feedback enables students to refine their knowledge and skills continuously, making steady progress toward their goals.
Motivation and Accountability
Studying for the CPA exam is often a long and challenging journey, filled with periods of self-doubt and frustration. A dedicated tutor can serve as a source of encouragement and accountability. They can help students set realistic goals, celebrate milestones, and stay focused on their ultimate objective. This support can be particularly valuable during tough times, ensuring the student does not lose sight of their aspiration or goal.
Access to Resources
The best accounting tutor in Somerset will have access to a wealth of resources, including up-to-date textbooks, practice exams, and online tools. They can recommend the best study materials and provide additional exercises to reinforce learning. Having access to these resources can enhance the study experience and provide the student with a comprehensive preparation toolkit.
Real-World Insights
Experienced tutors often bring a wealth of real-world insights that can enrich the learning experience. They can share practical examples from their professional careers that help the student understand how theoretical concepts apply in real-world accounting scenarios. This practical approach aids the student in grasping the material and prepares the student for their future role as a CPA.
Flexibility and Convenience
Many CPA exam candidates are juggling multiple responsibilities, such as work, family, and other commitments. The best accounting tutor in Somerset offers flexible scheduling options to accommodate these demands. Whether through in-person sessions or online tutoring, they can provide convenient and adaptable solutions that fit the student’s lifestyle. This flexibility ensures all students, regardless of their circumstances, have the opportunity to receive quality tutoring.
Building Confidence
Finally, one of the most critical ways an accounting tutor can help is by building the student’s confidence. Preparing for the CPA exam can be exhausting, allowing self-doubt to undermine their performance. A supportive tutor provides motivation and encouragement to help the student recognize their progress, and build self-confidence. This confidence can translate into better performance on exam day, as students feel more prepared and less anxious.
The journey to becoming a Certified Public Accountant is demanding, but with the right support, it is entirely achievable. A professional accounting tutor will not just provide the best CPA Exam Tutoring in Somerset but also offer a comprehensive suite of services that address every aspect of CPA exam preparation. From personalized study plans, in-depth content knowledge to test-taking strategies and motivational support, a skilled tutor can make a major difference.

Memory
Natasha Romanoff x Female Reader
You feel like you’ve met her before, but you just can’t remember when or how. It turns out there’s a lot you don’t remember
Note: Hey y’all. I have been swamped these last couple of weeks studying for and taking a part of the cpa exam, but I finally had a free moment to have some fun. I went and saw Argylle, so this is loosely inspired by that. Enjoy it!
Natasha Masterlist 1, Natasha Masterlist 2, Natasha Masterlist 3, Main Masterlist
The room is silent aside from the clicks of a keyboard as Natasha tries to break through a firewall. She’s smart, but the person who created it is slightly smarter than her.
The redhead smirks when she is one step from breaking through, but her cheekiness doesn’t last. An alarm sounds and she’s met with at least ten agents swarming all around her.
“Oh hey, guess you guys found the party,” she says in her usual cool under pressure tone.
She uses the agents’ hesitation to begin attacking them to deal the first blows. She takes them down two at a time until there’s only one left. She knows who he is.
“Are we going to do this the easy way or the hard way?” Natasha asks.
“You know what I want,” he says.
“And you know what I want,” Nat replies.
The two of them keep their guns in ready position. Nat alerted for backup, but she knows most likely she’ll have to handle this on her own.
“Where is the woman?” The man asks. He shakes his gun at Nat. She sees a weakness in the way he’s holding it. He won’t last.
“If you give me the intel, I’ll give you her location,” Nat says.
“You’re lying!”
“Maybe. Or maybe I’m telling you the truth. They’re never really that different, right?”
“Drop your weapon,” he tries another tactic.
Natasha just smirks. She moves her left arm down and the man mistakenly thinks she’s giving in. The moment he shifts his aim Nat takes a shot at him. It’s an easy shot for her.
He goes down and Nat finishes gathering her data from the computer before she quickly gets out of the building. That backup she was waiting for finally arrives as she’s making her way outside.
“Thanks for the help,” she says sarcastically as Steve opens the door for her.
“Sorry,” he says. “We can’t be everywhere all the time. What were you even doing here?”
“Gathering intel,” Nat says simply. She shows him the flash drive and he just shakes his head. “The more I can find out the better I can help her, Steve. It’s an easy choice to make.”
“Nat, she’s so far gone,” he tries. “It might be worth stopping.”
“I’ll never give up on her. She’ll be herself again. I know it,” Natasha says. “Now, will you help me get this to Stark to decode?”
“Of course I’ll help you, Romanoff.”
She nods in thanks. For the rest of the drive, Natasha thinks about what her next step should be. There’s no easy fix to this situation. She needs to go where her mind works best.
Meanwhile, you are working on cleaning tables when the most beautiful woman walks in. You’ve seen her in here several times since you started working here.
She always sits at the table in the corner and orders coffee and a piece of chocolate pie. It’s always the same thing. You’ve never waited on her before, but somehow the stars align today and you’re covering that section.
You walk to her table and take a deep breath. She’s even more beautiful from this close up.
“Hey, how are you today?” You ask her.
“I’m okay,” she replies. “How are you?”
“Can’t complain,” you say. It’s your typical response when a customer asks you that question. “What can I get for you, ma’am?”
She orders her usual. You feel her eyes linger on you as you pour the coffee and bring her slice of pie to the table.
Something feels familiar about the way she smiles at you in thanks.
“Do I know you?” You ask her. She doesn’t reply, but you notice she looks away from you. “Sorry, it’s just that I had some memory loss so I’m just not quite sure who I know at this point.”
“Oh, I’m very sorry,” she says. “I don’t think we know each other though, no.”
“You seem familiar,” you tell her.
“Well, I am an Avenger so maybe that’s it,” she says. “I’m Natasha.”
“Right. The superheroes. It’s nice to meet you, Natasha,” you say. “I’m y/n.”
You hold out your hand for her to shake. When she does, you swear there’s still a lingering feeling that you know her. Maybe you’ve just seen her on television.
“I better get back to work,” you say.
“Nice to meet you, y/n,” Natasha says.
She stands from her chair and drops cash on the table. Walking towards the door, she stops short and turns back to look at you. You offer her a smile that she returns.
With that, she disappears into the city. The rest of the day goes by seemingly without any other excitement. You can’t stop thinking about your interaction with the woman, which is why you thought you were dreaming when she shows up at your door.
You blink hard to try and wake up, but the reality is that she’s truly here.
“Natasha?” You ask confusedly.
“I don’t have time to explain,” she says. “Can I come in?”
“I- what? Okay?”
She takes that as a yes. She walks inside and goes straight to the corner of the room where she picks up a piece of the floor to reveal a secret storage area.
Natasha fills her bag with the weapons that were stored under the floor.
“What is happening?” You ask her.
“Just trust me,” Nat says.
“I just met you today and you somehow know about this secret area of my house I didn’t even know about. And I’m supposed to trust you?”
“Yes,” Natasha replies. “Come on. Get some shoes on. We have two minutes.”
“Two minutes before what?”
She doesn’t get the chance to answer before a loud bang comes from outside. A series of car doors close simultaneously.
“Look, I know you don’t know me but you have to trust me. These guys are after you and if we don’t bail in the next thirty seconds we’re dead. Got it?” Natasha says.
“What?” You ask. It seems to be the only word in your vocabulary right now.
She grabs your hand and pulls you through your house. Once you’re outside, you go through the fence to the neighbors yard.
“Here,” Nat says, pulling you to a motorcycle that’s waiting there.
“I am not riding on that,” you say.
“Then you’ll be dead within minutes. Come on, y/n,” Nat says. She puts the helmet on your head involuntarily.
You have no choice but to listen to her. Hopping onto the bike, you hold on tight to her middle as she drives through the streets. At some point, a van is tailing the two of you. Natasha turns down every alleyway and street she can to get you away from the tail.
“When I say jump, you’ve got to jump!” Nat says over the roar of the engine.
“What?”
You’re quickly approaching a road that you can see has no end. She drives full speed ahead before letting go of the handlebars.
“Jump!” Nat shouts.
You cling onto her as you both jump. You have no idea how far the drop is but somehow you land in water. Natasha pulls you to the surface quickly.
You get to shore and try to gather yourself some. You’re so confused about all of this.
“Are you okay?” She asks.
“Am I okay?” You ask her. “Seriously, you’re asking me that? I don’t know who you are or what’s happening. We just got chased by a van through town and jumped off a motorcycle into a fucking lake. Do you think I’m okay?”
The woman has the audacity to smile at your words.
“I’m sorry, do you think this is funny?” You ask her, feeling fury seethe inside you.
“No,” Natasha says too quickly. “No, it’s just- nevermind. We have to get to the Avenger’s compound.”
“I’m not going anywhere with you,” you tell her matter of factly.
“Y/n-“
“Don’t!” You interrupt her. “Just leave me alone.”
Nat raises her hands in surrender and watches as you walk away. She lets you get ten steps ahead before she follows after you.
“I told you to let me be.”
“You’re up there all alone. I just happen to be walking in the same direction,” Natasha reasons. “Although, the compound is the other way.”
Despite the fact that you were just doing insanely dangerous tasks with her, you feel a certain safety in her presence.
“Why should I go with you?” You pose a question.
You notice her hesitation in answering. Like she wants to tell you something but she just can’t.
“If you just come with me, I’ll explain everything there. Okay? Please give me a chance,” Nat says. “I won’t be responsible for them finding you and finishing the job.”
“What job? I’m just a waitress. Who could I possibly have wronged?”
“I promise I’ll explain later,” Nat says. “Please follow me.”
You relent and follow her. There’s no reason for you to trust her but somehow you do. It doesn’t take long to get to the compound once Nat hot wires a car.
“Y/n?” A girl asks when you are inside. You look at her despondently and she frowns. Natasha gives he’s her a look.
You follow Natasha to what seems to be a laboratory. There’s a large screen on the wall.
“Ah welcome,” a man says. You recognize him as Iron Man. “You’re just in time.”
“For?” You ask.
“The truth,” another man answers. You’re pretty sure he’s Captain America.
Before you can speak again, photos of you litter the screen. There are some of just you and some of you and the other Avengers.
“What the hell?” You wonder aloud.
“Y/n, we wanted you to remember on your own but it’s taking too long,” Tony Stark explains. “Natasha tried to jog your memory just by being in your presence, but that didn’t work.”
“So I do know you?” You ask the woman.
“You know all of us, y/n. You’re an Avenger.”
“But I’m- no. I’m a waitress,” you say. Your head feels like it’s spinning.
“That’s what they made you think, but you’re not. You’re a special agent,” Steve says. “And one of the best.”
“I don’t believe you. This is all a joke, right?”
“It’s not a joke, y/n. Why do you think we knew those people were after you? Or that I knew about the floor in your house?” Natasha asks.
“That’s easy. You’ve been spying on me.”
“No,” she says simply.
“Then how?” No response. “This is just insane. I’m leaving.”
You start to walk away. You hear Natasha’s footsteps behind you.
“Natasha,” a warning voice comes from Tony. “Don’t.”
“You know what, you go ahead. Take a car of ours, y/n,” she says.
She holds up a pair of keys. You reach for them, but instead of giving them to you she throws a punch your way.
You surprisingly dodge it with ease. Natasha smirks at the way you look at your arms in confusion.
“How did I do that?”
“Come on, throw one,” she taunts you.
You do your best to punch her, but of course she dodges it. You spar back and forth until you’ve both had enough.
“Great, now that that’s over. Do you believe us?” Tony asks.
“I’m not sure,” you say. “How could I not know I’m an agent?”
“Brainwashing,” Natasha answers. “Very effective brainwashing.”
“But why?”
“Because you were going to uncover a huge invasion of Hydra in the government,” Steve explains. “We still can’t find the data that you had before they took it from you and erased all of your memories.”
“So the memory loss, that was a real feeling I was having?”
“It was,” Nat says. “The reason why wasn’t a car accident as they told you though. They captured you and essentially knocked you senseless.”
You rub your hands over your face as you try to take all of this in. Just a few hours ago you thought you knew who you were, but they’re telling you something completely different.
“We wanted you to remember on your own, so it might not be so overwhelming,” Nat says.
“So, we’re all what? Coworkers? Friends? I don’t remember any of you, or anything you’re describing,” you say.
“We’re friends,” Steve says. “You’re friends with all of us and with Nat-“
“Steve,” Nat interrupts. “She doesn’t need to hear that right now.”
“I don’t need to hear what?”
There are shouts down the hallway that interrupt your conversation. Tony suits up and Steve grabs his shield.
“Get her to safety,” he tells Nat.
She grabs your hand and takes you down the hallway to a door and down a ton of stairs. Nat locks a door behind her once you’ve reached the lowest level.
“They’ll handle them,” Nat says. “But the further you are from the fight the better.”
“What was Steve going to say?”
“Hm?”
“About you and me,” you prompt her.
Natasha tears her eyes from yours much the same way she did when you questioned if you knew her earlier.
“Natasha, please just tell me. Clearly, everything I thought I knew was a lie. What’s one more thing?”
“Okay,” she agrees. “We were- you and I were together.”
“Together?”
She nods.
“Define together. Like dating?”
“Kind of yeah,” she says. You look at her for more details. The silence prompts her to continue. “We were married. We are technically married.”
“Oh,” you say.
“Yeah. I didn’t think you were ready to learn that,” Nat says.
“So that’s why you knew your way around my place?”
“Our place,” she says. “But they moved all of my stuff out before you went back there.”
“Natasha, I don’t- I can’t remember anything,” you say.
“I know,” Nat says sadly. “We kept our distance once we realized what they did to you, but we’ve never stopped making sure you were safe.”
You hear the sound of the fight getting closer. Natasha reaches for your hand. She places a loaded gun in your palm.
“I want to remember.”
“You will,” Nat says. “But right now, you’ve got to fight.”
To be continued…

sorry if you're not comfortable answering this, but I saw you say that you've been diagnosed with depression. how did you know when to seek help?
tl;dr: from a young age, i never lived a healthy lifestyle with an easy pace. i (and maybe even my family) put too much pressure on me, and i never really coped with it in a healthy manner. my attempt at handling things "with ease" and "not stressing" was actually just me bottling up my emotions, and it's not until things started getting really bad that i finally sought help.
nothing uncomfy abt it at all! discussion of mental health is pretty important! tbh, i never thought i would have depression or be diagnosed with it; i started showing symptoms for around a year before i started really thinking to myself, hey, i think there might be something up with me mentally and this isn't just some silly, quirky thing i'm going through. ever since i was around 18, i went through great lengths to ensure i would achieve maximum academic success but while being a full-time college student and consistently working 60+ hours a week (70+ during the summer bc my junior year internship was so intense; i also went to college 2 years early, so i think that's when the internal pressure to "do well in life" began) was taking a massive toll on me mentally and physically. i would survive off of 4-5 hours of sleep, consume concerning amounts of caffeine, i was losing hair, i was losing drastic amounts of weight, i was breaking out and breaking down, and even when i got better, i still wasn't fully ever healed from that experience purely bc my schedule just never slowed down.
i am still a full-time student, i am still working 7 days a week, leading to 60+ hours (40 hours internship, 20 hours at my weekend part-time job). on top of that, i am in the second to last semester of my grad school, i help out around the house bc after my older sister moved out, i took over the eldest daughter duties, i am still holding myself to a very high standard academically (already planning to apply to phd programs, studying for the cpa exam, already have another summer internship lined up). i knew things were getting bad because 1) i am finally older (im abt to turn 21! yay!) and i realized that the lifestyle i'm living isn't healthy and 2) a lot of my behaviors didn't feel "normal" to me anymore. it finally hit me around two months ago, when i realized that i sort of lost my love for fanfiction. i've been in a weird mood where i didn't want to read any fanfic whatsoever, but i chalked it up to being "too busy" and focused on other things. when i couldn't even find the energy to read my own mutual's fanfic, i knew something was up bc i always try to power through and remain enthusiastic on my friends' behalf. more behaviors that were a cause for concern:
my disinterest in everything that brought me joy previously. sweet treats at the end of the day, coffee before work, buying makeup from sephora, cleaning my room (sounds silly, but i love having a clean living space and cleaning my room used to be a source of peace and joy for me), writing fanfiction, reading books, watching youtube videos, catching up on shows that would release weekly and that i used to count down the days to watch — none of it held my interest. i wasn't excited, i didn't care.
it wasn't just a lack of joy from things i loved, either. rejections from programs i looked forward to/rejections from opportunities, abysmal grades in class, looming deadlines that i most likely wouldn't make, growing assignments on my work to-do list; none of this elicited a reaction from me. there was no stress (that i was feeling; subconsciously, i think the stress was still there and i just refused to acknowledge it), but there also wasn't disappointment or sadness. i had no emotional response to anything, and that was very concerning to me, and the main reason i contacted my sister and then her boyfriend (who is a licensed psychiatrist)
i could sleep for 12+ hours a day. there are many days in the week where all i want to do is rot in bed. not even in a "go on my phone and dick around in bed" type of way, either. i would have certain days where i couldn't leave the bed. sometimes, i wouldn't even feel tired, but i would just sleep. my internship is wfh and if it was a slow day with no assignments, i would clock in and spend that whole day in my bed, sleeping. it got to the point where i wish work was busy so i would have something to force me out of bed. yes, i would be aware of my tiredness sometimes, but this felt different altogether. i just wanted to basically hibernate lol.
i had constant headaches. i thought it was because of the nature of my job, where i look at computer screens all day, or maybe it was bc i wasn't drinking enough water. i would also get unexplainable cramps sometimes.
tmi, but little to no pleasure and an extreme decline in interest in sex
i had extreme issues with focusing on work and studying; a lot of my work (and school materials) centers around thinking through problems and applying tax law or guidance to certain situations.
my diet fluctuated; some days, i wouldn't want to eat, yesterday, i gorged myself on food, eating to the point where even i had to pause and go wtf.
not very often was i randomly sad, nor did i ever want to kill myself or self-harm; when i was a teenager (17/18) and probably showing signs of depression, i was very irritable, angry, sad, and had suicidal thoughts, thought i was worthless, an idiot, etc. however, i mostly just feel empty and apathetic during my episodes now.
what helped me seek help was knowing that my behaviors and how i was feeling didn't feel healthy, but also, my best friend recently shared her diagnosis with me and i would have never thought she would be depressed. my sister's bf was also a major help in getting me comfortable to consider the possibility of having a mental illness and also in finding someone to talk to. hope this helps!
edit: forgot to mention it, but i exhibited many/all of those symptoms for around the past 3 months before ever seeking help. those behaviors started manifesting tremendously and seriously disrupting my daily life, and i knew i needed to do something to get my life back on track.

June 13th:
I spent most of today thinking it was Monday when it was actually Tuesday which was really disappointing to me when I found out. But still today was productive in somewhat different ways. I only did just over an hour of studying today but I also scheduled my first two CPA exams today! I'll be taking my first exam, audit, on July 19th and my second exam, business environment and concepts, on August 25th. It's nice to have actual dates to work towards now! Also I moved the first exam back a week again but moving it back and being able to take the exam in my hometown just makes more sense than taking it a week early and in a town and hour and a half away from me. And now I'm pretty much a whole week ahead and can study next week's material at my own pace. Which is good because I'd really fallen behind, but not anymore! I spent today reviewing the first two areas which are all I've done but my hope is that reviewing now will help when I do the final review before the exam. I also took a practice test for area two and made a 77 which is great since passing for this exam is a 75 and this study material is known to be harder than the actual exam. Tomorrow I'll finally do the mini exam for areas one and two and begin area three. But for now I'll stop rambling haha
Today's accounting topic: everything about audit reports, quality control, engagement acceptance, planning, and internal control.
Other activity: I went dress shopping for an event I have Saturday. Shopping can be hard for me when I almost fit into the largest size but buttons don't stay buttoned and zippers don't always finish zipping. But I was able to find a dress I like and I got to stop by the book store and buy a new book!

I am rereading short one shots of yours like eating a piece candy as a reward for each chapter of review I do for my CPA exam, and its delightful. I snickered outloud while rereading Cheers to Pour Decisions. Thank you for an archive full of treats to help keep me sane in this trying time.
Good luck with your studying!! You can totally do it! 💕

Week 1 - BIS 315
Welcome to my blog! My name is Autumn Smith and I am currently a junior at CMU. I am majoring in Accounting with minors in Business Law, Management, and Information Systems. You might be wondering why I am achieving so many minors. The reason is because I want to qualify to take the CPA exam. I have to obtain 150 credits, which is 30 more than a bachelor's degree, so the extra classes I am taking can add up to those minors! I am not entirely sure which route of accounting I want to venture into yet, but I do know I want to eventually manage a firm one day and being a CPA will significantly help with that goal.
Diving deeper into things about myself, I have two dogs along with two sisters who are twins. One of my sisters, Olivia, recently had her first child, making me a first time aunt! His name is Asher, he is 7 weeks old, and is the sweetest baby ever. Some personal interests of mine are traveling, softball, art, using my telescope, and spending time with friends and family.
I am extremely exited to weekly update this blog for my BIS 315 Social Media and Emerging Technology Business class. On this blog, I will be exploring social media in business and discussing topics in relation to that. My goal with this blog is to effectively cover those topics, and continue to do so after my class has been completed.
The first topic I will be discussing is a company I believe uses their social media skills productively. The brand I am choosing is Sephora. I thoroughly enjoy observing the content they share because I have a large interest in makeup and skin care. This brand has a strong social media presence on platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, and Facebook. Sephora having a strong presence across multiple platforms is detrimental because they are able to reach different audiences of all ages. Another thing that Sephora takes a lot of thought into is the content they post. Sephora shares things such as new makeup products launching, tutorials on how to use their products, and re-share content their consumers post using their products while giving credit to them. This is important because it makes their customers feel included in the brand and that the brand cares about them. Something I personally like about the brands social media skills is that I think their pages are aesthetically pleasing while being able to find specific information about products easily.

Hi! If you’re willing to share, I was just wondering what degree you have or if you could give a vague idea of what field you work in. I’m trying to figure out a new career path and I still don’t have a clue of what to do.
You’re so capable and smart at what you do in GOs so I was wondering if you have recs for stable career paths or if you have advise in being as good at management as you are. Sorry if this seems intrusive! (Please don’t feel like you have to answer if you can’t/don’t have time or if these feel intrusive. I totally understand. Otherwise, I am very appreciative of a tiny bit of advise or insight into a stable career path.)
ahh i can try to answer about my own experience but my knowledge of jobs outside my own industry is pretty limited so this may not make for the best advice just an fyi;;;
i majored in accounting in uni and worked a few years in public accounting firms. it's not exactly an experience i'd recommend to everyone bc public is pretty stressful and it's 60+ hr weeks during busy season, but i learned so much there so don't regret it. we mostly work with spreadsheets and numbers and the standards for accuracy and proper documentation are really high. so those skills def helped me set up this GO in a way that could let me track everything comfortably.
i personally chose accounting specifically for its stability and my job didn't really get impacted by the pandemic. there's def a misconception that you have to be amazing at math to go into accounting but as someone who's definitely not good at Real Math, imo you just need to know the basics and also not hate numbers n__n;;; and if you'd like to get your cpa, then it's more about case writing skills and reading through accounting standards/tax rules than actual math calculations (at least in canada).
i will say though that quite a few of my friends have left accounting to go into tech as developers/software engineers, which has much better pay and a lot more job opportunities overall. there's coding bootcamps online so you don't have to go back to school for a full degree. however i've heard that their interviews are more technical so requires more self-study. and depending on where you work, the hours can be pretty rough too;;;
i also have some friends who are acturaries that work for insurance companies, but from what i understand, it involves harder math and they had to pass for 6-8 certification exams (in contrast i only had to pass 1). i know of a few others who got their cfa designation and got finance/analyst-type roles at banks but i'm not as familiar with the process;;;
unfortunately i don't know much about 'stable' careers outside of business/tech so that's pretty much all i can touch on;;; since my experience is pretty limited and i kind of stumbled upon my own career path, i think my only general advice is that if you're not sure about what you want, you can start with figuring out what you dislike or what would be a difficult fit for your personality type.
for me, i knew in high school that i was bad at sciences so avoided all science programs when applying to uni. i'm also not a natural speaker so it was pretty stressful whenever i had to give presentations or interact face-to-face with clients. eventually i figured out that i was better at writing and also liked working with numbers, as well as researching/digging into details to solve problems on my own, and ended up where i am now ;u;
choosing a career is such a difficult decision and i hope that you have family/friends who have more insight on your situation and can give you better feedback/support than i can;;; hopefully some of this was helpful and i wish you the best of luck!

fluffy ellie facts?
FINALLY, LOVE FOR THE BEST GIRL
Ellie LOVES baking, but she especially loves baking with her girlfriend!
Speaking of girlfriend, Ellie is planning on proposing to her soon!
She's a couple of years younger than the MC
Ellie is extremely good with numbers, and passed the Certified Public Accountant exam with flying colors
She has her black belt in goju-ryu, and often helps younger and new students
Students at the dojo she goes to often say that practicing with her makes them feel more energetic because her vibe is just that contagious
She made friends with Robin after tripping in front of him at the cafe near the library. He caught her, and she offered to get him a coffee as thanks
She's an only child, and her family puts a lot of pressure on her
But her father dotes on her
ADHD
She idolizes Chocolate Guy and uses many of his techniques in her own baking and confections
If she had her way, she would open a patisserie of her own
But being a CPA is more stable, so she just bakes for fun.
She tried ballet as a teenager, but found goju ryu to be more effective for managing her anger issues
Surprise, Ellie has anger issues due to her familial pressure; fortunately she has them managed very well
In a fair fight, she can beat the everloving SHIT out of Robin.
And most people, for that matter
Ellie kinda scary
She heard the phrase "the strong must protect the sweet" and then decided to make it her life philosophy
Ellie is 4'11"
Her voice is very sweet; her girlfriend calls her "songbird"

MISS ANNNNAAAAA! 😘 How have you been? I do hope that you've been well and alright during the US tax season and news about sweet Hoberto's enlistment. Me and my old supervisor were too busy this week to discuss it.
I saw the lovely hug anon's message that was sent in a little bit ago and I had to drop in and say congrats 🎉 and that we all aspire to have our own romance that can inspire all the dreams of other lonely people 🥹. My cold heart fluttered while reading it.
It did kind of inspire me to drop in myself to let you know that we all do genuinely appreciate this little space you've made for everyone and that you and all the lovely anons and non-anons that respond genuinely help others process thoughts and life and all that stuff.
I genuinely don't know if you remember me either but, I would drop in as the accounting/🎓 graduate anon. I legit don't even remember the last ask I had sent you but, I have been well and still enjoy having your notifications on (it gives me plenty of joy in my down time or destressing time). 😁 I have done a bunch though since my last (remembered) ask -
That internship turned into an extended long-term position - I've been interning remotely with them since summer of 2022
Graduated w/ honors and now on track to graduate with my Masters in Taxation this December
Currently also working PT under my business school's admin as a tutor for my department - now known by most staff and made some really good connections for the future
Secured an internship with one of the top 4 accounting firms this summer (and expecting a FT offer with the big bucks)
Won a CPA exam materials scholarship (nearly $3k worth)
Submitted my application to sit for the CPA (basically the highest accounting credential to receive) exam and will be sitting for the first section by November
So truly, I'm always sending the biggest thanks to you and everyone else for giving me all the motivation and confidence boosters the last time because they've really made an impact for me! I love you guys and gals and anything you all go by and wish everyone the best. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
(I do apologize for how long this got though, once I started I apparently couldn't stop)
OMG accounting/🎓 graduate anon!
first of all, of course i remember you 💕
second of all -- hell YES to all of these wins? that CPA exam scholarship is a huge deal and i know you will crush that exam come november. i'm so glad you and other anons come here to share your wins because let's be for real, the world is forever on fire and it's nice to know good shit is happening to good people.
we all need that reminder from time to time 😭
as for hobi going off into his military assignment: i'm sad. i'm not even gonna sugarcoat it 😂 but it's a matter of duty and pride and i support him and all the members as they complete their service. i mean, i don't have to be happy about it but i understand. it'll get easier once we get some updates from him. for now, sad girl hours are open 😭
