Current Projects

It often feels like I have a million current projects, so i’m going to try and narrow it down to the owns i’m really working on. I’m new to tumblr, so a lot of this is confusing and I don’t really know what i’m doing. Anyways, these are all of my projects that have been consuming me recently, and that I am working on. Board Walk

Jansen went to get the gun from the counter top. Boning knife in belt, crowbar under left arm, he headed to the south of their floating paradise. Jansen would kill the garden birds, the cat, the badger and hedgehog. He would shoot up the central boiler, waggling it loose from the boardwalk and move on to taking the rest of the place apart. 

When the bird’s ends were shot through the Dominican skyline, the cat, badger and hedgehog skinned, boxed and headed for the falls, he would begin to labor the nails. Thirty two hundred bolts, paired with their screws, nails, and rope harnesses, had fixed the water system in place. Years of fissure checks with Jane surveying kitchen and garden outlets, the old man watched the barrels and noodles swim away. The dock was loose. The Great Basin pine was sunk. 

The dock, where he and Jane had started, was a small raft they had extended, strengthened with sturdier timber. Lilies of the valley had raised their little bells above the winter-killed ivy and glassine envelopes bordering the walks. Here they had danced for six anniversaries and here they should dance in two days time. The old man looked on. New birds were settling on the drifting pontoons.  Between the cliffs the orange licked into harder reds and the blue became green, orange, red.

#currentproject is Stanley, my giant house sparrow. Well he is not really giant as he is the size of my palm but that is big for me! I have grown to love him and am constantly looking in my front garden to check the colours are right. C U R R E N T. P R O J E C T . I've been working on some new paint colours. Some are boggling my mind. A colour I made before came out as a completely different colour yesterday 🤷🏻‍♀️ I'm pretty sure I didn't do anything different. Instead of blue I got dark green. More experiments needed there I think! . I found out yesterday that I won't be taking part in the annual Crouch End Open Studios because of something called.....Coronavirus? 🤦🏻‍♀️ great, thanks Coronavirus/the media/panic stricken people. This was my main current project but I do have other projects coming up. I'll save that information for another time. . I'll be trying my hand at a few slightly different pieces too. My current #worksinprogress I hit a wall yesterday. With markets coming up I've been trying to add more diversity and what I think people want to see rather than creating what I love to create. When that happens I usually go back to my favorite little creatures and whimsical friends. they usually help me get out of my own head and make me realize if someone doesn't like what I'm making then they're not my target audience 🥴 This little guy needs a few more details and a background but will end up as a plastic cap keychain.
