The Skulk! Typical human height range, these creatures are only visible by viewing thier reflection, being a child, or lighting a candle made from the fat of an unknown corpse. They're basically travelers who became so lost in the shadowfell even THEY don't remember who they were. They vaguely resemble whoever summoned them and tend to imitate people they've killed, sometimes creating ghost towns of skulks following actions whose meanings they don't quite remember. But hey, they're much of the fun and flavor of a spooky ghost with an actual corporeal body! A little weak, but more dexterous than a high-wire acrobat!

Intellect Devourer in D&D 5e: Origins, Strategies, and Emotional Impact
A looking deeper into aberrations in D&D 5e we peer at the Intellect Devourer. A grotesque mockery of a brain, the Intellect Devourer is a sight of horror. Born from the nightmarish depths of the mind flayers' experimentation #dnd5e
In the myriad of realms, few beings instill terror as effectively as the Intellect Devourer in D&D 5e. This aberration stands not just as a physical threat but as the embodiment of identity loss and the forfeiture of one’s sanity. On Bohemia - A Pocket Domain
On Bohemia – A Pocket Domain
Mordent, considerably more progressive than other domains by a distance.  Curiously, its presence in the Mists is the fault of Strahd and Azalin.  They devised a scheme to exploit an apparatus within the realm to free themselves from their imprisoned domains.  This failed, sealing Mordent’s fate as well. A fair share of oddities drift in and around the domain.  The Darklord himself, Lord Wilfred…

HOW & WHY Wizards of the Coast continually gets it WRONG
🎲 There is a consistently repeated reason as to why #WotC | @Wizards | @Wizards_DnD can't seem to get it right. Book after book… complaint after complaint. We discuss the "HOW & WHY" of WotC’s bad decision making. #DnD #dnd5e #ttrpg
Do you want to know how and why Wizards of the Coast continually gets it wrong? I keep saying, “Stop buying from companies who hate you.” Yet you still do it and perpetuate the problem. There is literally no excuse you can give to justify buying from these degenerates, other than you agree with them. “Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me!” Combine that with, “The definition of…

Mistakes Were Made
Now, I don’t think this was the best idea. I’m just putting that on record in case anyone finds this journal. This was a patently Bad Idea. Our plan sent me and Leon into the frog-man keep using Disguise Self and Comprehend Languages. As part of my disguise, I made sure to put a scar across my throat so that I could mime that I had no way to speak, if anyone tried to talk to me. The rest of our…

NaNoWriMo with a TTRPG Twist: Day 17
This is terrifically delayed, and a departure from plot hooks because I’m in need of a palate cleanser. I’m also not as present in the TTRPG spaces as I have been previously and so I’m playing a little catch up on some of the discourse (which should shock no one). Let’s all keep in mind these are my views and opinions on the topic(s) that follow and that they are by no means the be-all, end-all.…

I Played So Many Tabletop Games Last Week
I was lucky enough to play three tabletop games in the past week, and this post is about the two that I played in. Both of them were very different, but they both exemplified two styles of gameplay that I enjoy a lot. I got everything I could have wanted.
Last week was a pretty active week for me, in terms of tabletop gaming. Three of four possible games happened and I enjoyed each of them in incredibly different ways. While I’ll save my ruminations about my every-other-week game of Heart: The City Beneath for Friday, I have plenty to write about from the Elden Ring themed game of Dungeons and Dragons 5e I played last Thursday and the game of…

Legenda Czarnego Smoka S02 | Dungeons and Dragons 5e

The Spirit Troll! 9 ft (2.7 m) regenerating giants. No predators or society, they just wander around eating and doing whatever they please. Their regeneration is responsive to everything from thier diet to the source of the wounds. One ripped apart with psychic power might have thier body regenerate as an incorporeal being! Note, this is NOT undead, they are still alive. They're just also incorporeal, existing as pure regenerating energy. They often don't even notice what's happened.

D&D 5ed Trap - The Magical Beans of Hilda van Hoffman
D&D 5ed Trap – The Magical Beans of Hilda van Hoffman
Magical item. Sort of. These unassuming beans can be tossed on to any surface (including water, oil, walls and so on) to form a trap for any unsuspecting creature. Hilda van Hoffman was a mage and botanist with a huge interest in magical plants. Her experimentation with the beans came after an unfortunate encounter with Assassin Vines. To Hilda’s great regret, she was unable to save the origilan…
