I don't know why I never considered that Cassidy would listen to Miley Cyrus but he totally would!!

The funny thing is that despite Cassidy being one of my favouite characters I don't listen to country music all that often so this was defiantly a big help.

But... Why the fuck does backwards fit Cassidy as a character so much??

I was listening to Darryl Worley’s 2003 single “Have you Forgotten?” on YouTube. It remains a terrible song both on a moral level, because it’s a grotesquely manipulative attempt to shame people for not supporting the invasion of Iraq by playing on the still very recent national trauma of 9/11, and on a technical level, because it’s the lyrics are just so corny and overwrought. But I especially love when he sings:

“Have you forgotten about our Pentagon?/all the loved ones that we lost and those left to carry on”

I get being sentimental about the towers and United Flight 93 but who is really getting all misty-eyed over the nerve center of the military-industrial complex?
