Is there a chance Tumblr could make a "custom feeds" system, like reddit and twitter has? The point is to add accounts (or subreddits, or hashtags) in this or that list, and instead of going to your regular dashboard, you can go to this special list you made. I personally would use that to put all the tornament accounts I follow (seriously, I must have over 50 that are active right now) into one list, I'd have one list for activism, I'd have one list for my fandoms...

I also picture people use this to sort by mood, like one list for when they need cute things, one for when need to laugh, one for when they want to debate with people...

So, if you’re on web, you can edit the URL to list what blogs posts you want in the feed. Consider it another secret feed for you good folk that will hopefully get turned into a real feature someday…

i totally understand the creator's reasons for no longer maintaining the project, but does anyone have any suggestions for alternatives? i just want my un-twitterified dash back :/ like i actually hate the way vanilla tumblr looks and works

i miss this webbed site so much i feel like i'm missing out on updates from my friends and also i just love it here bc it feels like home HOWEVER. i simply do not know how to effectively use it. i feel like i scroll pretty often at work and then i go to a friend's blog and there are SO MANY posts that i've missed like hello!! begging tumblr patio to let me create custom dashboards like i would pay your stupid diamond price for that

redditors, I think you need to know about secondary blogs' features

secondary blogs, aka "sideblogs", cannot ask questions, submit posts, and like posts (if you try to do any of those, they will be linked to your main blog), but they can be password protected, and become group blogs

you can invite members and admins to a sideblog and turn it into a group blog. members can post and edit/remove their own posts, admins fully manage the blog (beware: admins cannot be removed, they have to leave on their own). you can choose to show post authors or not

blogs, any blog, can also accept submissions. anyone can submit a post that will be checked by the admin(s) and be published, @shiftythrifting works like this (anyone could also suggest posts to reblog using asks or messages of course)

I really just want to protest these dumb changes and leave this site even for like a day but I just love what tumblr had always been for me, a safe place for me to enjoy what I like without being bombarded by things I did not like. It's always felt like home to me.

Now, it feels like I'm being evicted from the place I've lived my whole life to make way for new perspective more profitable tenants. I feel like I'm losing my home.

What a coincidence you should mention that! 

This is exactly the idea behind Collections, an experimental feature we were working on over in Labs. You can check it out here and here. Great minds and all that.

We’ve put that project on hold for now, however, as we work on the idea of Communities instead, which could theoretically serve a similar purpose.

Found another Momo steering that is in good shape from a SF5 Forester.

It's hard to find these older 4 spoke Momo wheels with red stitches. But it smells horribly of JDM cigarette smoke at the moment, lol. And it's leather is on the verge of splitting in a few spots.

Since I already had a custom wrap made with real leather and red stitches, I'm going to add it to this new wheel vs the old. The wrap will not only protect the factory leather but it increases the diameter of the wheel, making it more comfortable for my big hands while offering better grip.

👆 Current wheel and wrap. The gaps between the airbag and the upper spokes are too big for some reason and it's been bothering me!

You can see how much fatter the grip is but this wrap was slightly too big and it twist in my hands. New version covers the spokes and hopefully will look more stock. I will swap over this airbag until I find the one I want. 🤞

The Percht

Perchten are creatures in Austrian and Bavarian (among others) folklore. They roam from December to January and rattle with bells and chains to cast out the evil spirits of winter. They are not the same as Krampus! But in my experience there is a lot of overlap visually.

I am beyond excited about how this guy came out. Started a year ago and he was chilling as a wip for a long time but now i've finished him just in time. Mask and horns are air dry clay, hair is a mix of doll hair (underneath) and yarn wefts on top and for the beard. i kept the sneakers from the base doll (a jimin bts doll lol) and just painted them because this is not really an animal spirit creature - it's a guy in a costume :P

the fucked part of this update is that i remember back in ye olden days when the dashboard layout was much more similar to the current look, except it had all the stuff on the right side bar (where the current dash layout has the reccommended blogs and the tumblr radar iirc) and we still had the top bar with the little icons, and the stuff on the sidebar wasnt NEARLY as cluttered as it is now. and i remember when they got rid of it in favor of the top bar with little drop down menus and everyone fucking LOATHED IT, we were all clamoring for it to be rolled back. and they somehow managed to finally put the blog info back into a sidebar like we wanted all those years ago and they somehow fucked it up so bad that we all hate it and want the old layout back . what a website
