Summary: Dean is taking the reader on a small getaway, reminiscing on their past years together.

Warnings: 18+, smut, short description of piv, some angst, but mainly fluff

“Dean?” Her tired murmurs filled Baby, eyes slowly opening to take in Dean’s features. His green eyes met hers as a smile tugged on his lips, hand finding her knee.

“It’s alright, darling, you can sleep some more.” He didn’t dare raise his voice, not wanting to rip his girlfriend from her drowsy state. They had been driving for the past hours, leaving Sam behind as Dean started the car, murmuring something about wanting to spend some time alone with (y/n).

But while Sam had made some inappropriate jokes, Dean had only shaken his head, not wanting to share any details. Something inside of Dean had begged him to take (y/n) and leave, desperate for some moments of calmness, freezing the world around them. Both were exhausted, running low on their motivation to hunt those they’ve been surrounded by for years, pushed into this very life because of their families, well aware that there was no way out.  

“Mhm, I love you, Dean.” Her eyes fell shut once again, cuddling herself further into the leather seat. His throat felt tight, he could only squeeze her knee, not understanding how a woman like her would want to stick around, picking a dangerous life over the calm moments she had deserved. 

“Can’t you understand that I want this? God, how thick can you be? I would choose this life over any other life if it meant being with you, Dean.” Tears were welling up in (y/n)’s eyes, shaking hands pressed into her sides to stabilise herself. Just moments ago he had asked her to leave, wanting to show her the way out of his messy lifestyle, asking her to part ways in order to save her. 

If there was one thing Dean Winchester was good at, it was pushing people away to save them, at least that’s what he thought he was doing. 

“I wake up every night thinking you got hurt somehow, and I blame myself, every single time. You deserve something better.” He was hurting, but while her tears clearly gave away her emotions, Dean tried to compose himself, holding back on the gasps of air threatening to leave him. The mere thought of parting from (y/n) left him breathless, trembling in fear, and yet he’d always put her first. It felt like he was drowning, the water kept rising, would swallow him whole any moment now, and she was the rescuing hand he tried to ignore. 

“Dean, I love you, probably way too much, I won’t leave you, not now, not ever.” Her shaking hand found his, interlacing their fingers. He couldn’t reply, eyes squeezed shut to try and keep his tears bottled in. She was pulled against his chest, allowing her to listen to his racing heart, mind torn between their fight and the loving three words (y/n) had just spoken for the first time. 

“I love you too, hence why I’ll always try to save you from this.”

Dean could still remember how he had felt in that very moment, no longer part of his fleshcage, soul freed from its grasp by the confession she had spoken. It had felt like he had been pushed from one dimension into another, one with the love she was sharing, one with the life she wouldn’t ever leave behind, one with the grasp their souls had on one another. 

It had taken him weeks to finally accept that she wouldn’t leave, weeks filled with that sinking feeling simmering inside of him, as if he was preparing himself for the day where he’d wake up to an empty bed and empty closets. But that day hadn't come, and deep down Dean also knew that it wouldn’t ever come. 

“Need you Dean, please touch me.” (Y/n) whispered her words, eyes set on his green ones, filled with that special glint she found herself yarning for. It had been weeks since Dean had last touched her, weeks filled with one hunt darker than the other. Both were finding shelter in Baby, with his naked body pressed against hers, with his fingers wandering along her sides, finding their way to her pulsing bundle of nerves. “Oh fuck.”

She arched her back off the leather seat, fingernails clawed into his skin as he circled her clit, preparing her for the upcoming moments, needing to feel her wrapped around his cock. Dean’s plush lips found her throat, sucking on the spots that left her gasping, desperate to feel everything he could offer to her, sharing sins in the darkness, hidden from the daylight. 

“Look at me, don’t close your eyes.” Their eyes met, binding one another closer together as Dean pushed into her, making her gasp his name. He gave her a few moments to adjust before he started fucking her, hand squeezing Baby’s leather to stop himself from leaving bruises that wouldn’t fade for weeks to come, trying to hold back. 

(Y/n) struggled, trying to keep her eyes open, while Dean forced her closer to the edge, making her see stars. He wasn’t gentle, and yet took care of her just like she knew he would, knowing her body better than she knew herself. 

The moon was following Baby around, trying to shield them from the darkness calling their names, a clear sky Dean was hoping for. He didn’t have a destination in mind, could only think back to the soft words (y/n) had spoken weeks ago, murmuring something about wanting to stargaze, something she hadn’t done since she was a mere teenager. Back then Dean had only chuckled, hand cupping her cheek to pull her in for a kiss, storing the confession in the back of his mind. 

But while Dean didn’t have a certain spot in mind, he knew what he was looking for, a remote area in the middle of nowhere, allowing them to catch the twinkling stars. A smile tugged on his lips the second he took a turn left, parking Baby on the side of a road, next to a field. 

“(Y/n),” Dean murmured, watching her wake from her light slumber. He couldn’t help but take in her features for a few moments, admiring the woman he had fallen for years ago, very well knowing that she was the lifeline he kept clinging to. She whispered his name, blinking a few times to adjust to the darkness filling the car. “Come.” 

He left the car, rounding Baby to help (y/n) stand up, stretching her limbs without noticing the clear sky above them. “What are we doing here, Dean?”

Her chuckles left him smiling, forcing her to watch him pull a blanket from the backseat before he pointed his finger towards the sky, “I thought it was finally time for some stargazing?” 

With awe laced in her gaze, (y/n) kept watching the sky, lips slightly parted to take in the numerous stars no human eye could ever count. She couldn’t reply, fully hooked onto the breathtaking view, barely sparing Dean any of her attention. He pulled her onto the blanket, had his back leaned against Baby’s side, with (y/n) sitting in front of him.

No words were shared between the two, but there was no need for any vowels that wouldn’t manage to describe what she was currently feeling, nor what Dean was thinking of. His mind was racing, thinking back to the day where he had bought that ring with Sam, wondering if he’d ever feel ready enough to ask (y/n) that one question. It wasn’t about marriage, at least not really, neither Dean nor (y/n) needed any vows nor a ring to promise one another endless love, and yet Dean couldn’t stop thinking about asking that one question. 

“When will you do it?” Sam’s lips were pulled into a smirk, trying to hold back with his jokes, genuinely interested in his brother’s plans. They had bought a ring minutes ago, and while Dean hadn’t spoken many words, voice caught in his tight throat, Sam had asked one question after another. 

“Don’t know, when the time feels right, I guess.” Dean didn’t look at Sam once, eyes focused on the road ahead, tightening his grip on the steering wheel. For a few moments an uncomfortable silence wrapped itself around the brothers, forcing them to ponder over their words. 

“Why did you get a ring, if you aren’t sure of it?” Sam didn’t dare use much strength for his words, not sure what was going through Dean’s mind. 

“I am sure of it.” Simple murmurs Sam couldn’t help but scoff about, shaking his head as he was turning his body towards Dean. He studied his brother for a moment, wondering if he was truly that unsure of their relationship. 

“Dean, she won’t leave you, there’s nothing you need to wait for, no day where she’ll suddenly pack her bags and break up with you. You don’t need to be scared.”

Dean’s hand found the pocket of his jacket, feeling the box he kept carrying around with himself. His hand lingered there for a few moments, before it found its way back to her middle, pulling (y/n) even closer. Perhaps a day may eventually come where he’ll get over his fear, the enemy he carried around with himself. Perhaps a day may eventually come where he’ll feel ready to ask that one question.

Perhaps the breaking daylight may guide him through the arising high simmering deep inside of him.

How do you come up with ideas for writing: They just come up when I try to sleep, or am doing something random, or something happens so I just write it out. I hate brain storming with all my heart because nothing good comes up when I try

What character/s do you enjoy writing the most: Sirius and Remus <3, but lately I've fallen in love with Percy and Oliver and starchaser is always fun to write. Also lily and Pandora are lovely to write, I just never really do it

What character do you not enjoy writing: Any authoritative figure because it's hard and when there's multiple characters because it's hard to keep track

Is there a fic you regret writing: Not really, I mean I'm embarrassed of some of my writings, but it just shows that I've learned and I can write better now :)

Favorite thing you've written: "When I..." A long fic about a suicide attempt and it was very comforting to write, but then I think I've written a few good hurt/comfort fics. There's like very small bits of the stories that I absolutely love, and loved to write

What do you like to write: Hurt/comfort and just sad things, I feel like I'm good at it. I like descriptive writing too and I've been trying to work on it lately

What don't you like writing: Smut, I feel a little cringe when I write it, and like longer fics, I feel I can't come up with a good enough idea for a one 🤔 Also, I don't have the patience for that

Favorite characters: Sheldon Cooper from the big bang theory. Sirius and Remus obviously, Regulus, and then I like the Weasley twins... There's honestly too many that I like. But to mention a few more: Nick, Charlie, Elle, Tara and Darcy <3 and the art teacher I can't remember the name of from heartstopper. Loki <3. Will Halsted and Sharon Goodwin are the best characters in Chicago med, fight me. Laszlo from what we do in the shadows.

Do you keep a journal: I have a few pages in the back of my calendar for bullet journaling

One bad habit: self deprecation, I apparently do that too much. Source: my friends

What did you want to be as a child: I really wanted to be a chef or a baker

Who's the last person you held hands with: My friend when dancing, if that doesn't count, then with the same friend at a school Christmas party cause I almost lost them in the hallway 'cause there were a lot of people. Before that, no clue

Are you outgoing or shy: Shy with new people. I'm shyly outgoing lol

Who are you looking forward to seeing: My bestie haven't seen her in over a year

What does your most recent text say: "Alright :)" Another one cause it was around the same time but to a different person. "It's just a little guy"

Do you have trust issues. Oh yeah

Favorite part of your daily routine: Everything cause it always goes the same way. We love structure over here. But if I have to pick one, cracking my back every morning cause it's so satisfying

What do you do when you wake up: Turn off my alarm if it's on, then I go through the notifications on my phone and just lay there doing random things before I gotta get up. Usually reading actually if I have enough time and oh, always listen to a podcast/music

Morning routine: What I just mentioned, but when I get up, I drink water and take my meds, go to the bathroom, brush my teeth. If I'm going somewhere I pack my stuff, and then dress up. If I'm not going anywhere, I usually start watching something and drink coffee in peace and then change clothes

Evening routine: I shower, wash my face, sometimes eat something and change into pyjamas. Mark stuff in my calendar, do my journaling and then I get into bed. I usually read before sleeping, a book or fanfic.

Do you like your neighbors: I don't really know our neighbors 👀 except the ones I dog sit for. Oh at least one of our neighbors thinks I'm creepy. (Literally steered their kids away from me while I was coming from school.)

Is your hair long enough for a ponytail: it is, I just often don't keep it in one. Unless it's dirty or I'm alone and need it to get it out of the way

How many languages can you speak: Two (actually three but I'm really bad at the third one) I picked french for next year tho :)

Can you cook: Yep, I'm quite good at it. I can bake too

Last time you cried: A few days ago because I was feeling like an absolutely horrible human being

How long does it take you to get ready: Like 10 minutes lol ⏱️

Favorite number: 5. Five is the Ultimate number, and everything either ends in five or is divisible by five. I've always liked the number five :3

I'll check those out for sure! sounds really nice. ooh, what games? I've never really been much of a video game person, okay maybe that's not true, I've had my addicted phases, but I never saw myself like that.

I used to play Sims but honestly I feel like I never wanted to actually play it, I just wanted to create them and their houses, but living their lives was too tiring and boring. yes right now I'm pretty fixated on acnh, back then I used to play super mario 3D land on my DS, was times. but yes I really enjoy the customizing and designing the island part of acnh, I'd honestly like to play more on my switch but since games are expensive, I haven't really bought any others bc I haven't found one that was worth it yet. I really wish I was more of a pokemon person. I wanna play more pokemon games, I wanna be, THE VERY BE- I have Pokemon, sword I think? bc my friend gave it to me, but haven't played a lot.

I gotta say I was always bad with defining music genres bc, I have no idea. but I guess mainly it's (Indie/alt) pop/rock, rap is really enjoyable actually, don't have a lot of it I listen to but also as someone into poetry. but I'm also one of those people that's like "I listen to it if I like it". basically I really love e-guitars, bass, and violins. I like dramatic emotional music, sad but loud songs, yes. I really love the 80's sound tho, that is kinda how I wish how people perceive me. movie soundtrack is fire too. and actually, since I'm in general just a fan of art with words and good rythm, like musical kinda songs are really nice, and I wish I could sing more like that.

2010's music is like, my nostalgic childhood music. I do listen to Girl in Red and Ricky Montgomery too, latter I really like for singing too. (and Shawn Mendes. Idk but singing-wise I go off at Shawn Mendes)

‘I think I’d take it’: Trump says he might not report foreign help to FBI in 2020

President Donald Trump says he might not report to the FBI any election help offered by a foreign source in the 2020 election cycle.

In an excerpt from aninterviewwith ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos published on Wednesday, the president pushed back when asked whether a candidate should report information on an opponent if it came from a foreign agent, and denied that accepting the information counted as election interference.

“It’s not an interference, they have information — I think I’d take it,” Trump said. “If I thought there was something wrong, I’d go maybe to the FBI — if I thought there was something wrong.”

“It’s called oppo research,” he added.

Stephanopoulos pointed out that FBI Director Christopher Wray told Congress that a candidate should offer that kind of information to the agency, but Trump flatly rebuffed the notion: “The FBI director is wrong.”

“Give me a break,” Trump said, scoffing. “Life doesn’t work that way.”

Trump’s comments come as his son Donald Trump Jr. is in hot water over a meeting in Trump Tower in June 2016 with Russian nationals who offered “dirt” on then-Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton. The president expressed frustration with the focus on his son, saying he is a “good young man.”

Trump said that if he received information and “thought there was something wrong,” he would consider reporting it to the FBI, but said that “there’s nothing wrong with listening.” He added that members of Congress “all do it.”

Jared Kushner, Trump’s adviser and son-in-law, also said recently that he didn’t know whether he would contact the FBI in such a situation. Axios’ Jonathan Swan asked Kushner in aninterviewpublished earlier this month about an email he received in the lead-up to the Trump Tower meeting and why he did not report the email to the FBI. Kushner responded that he received hundreds of emails a day and forgot about it after showing up to the meeting and realizing that it was “a clown show.”

But when pressed if he would report a similar email to the FBI in the future, Kusher said that “it’s hard to do hypotheticals.”

POLITICO previouslyreportedthat Trump’s reelection campaign did not respond to numerous inquiries on whether he would report foreign assistance to the FBI, including information stolen from opponents.

A Justice Department spokesperson declined to comment on the president’s remarks, and an FBI spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Law enforcement veterans said Trump’s comments set off glaring red alarms.

“I am sure that the president’s attorneys are apoplectic given that the Mueller report sets forth a pattern of obstruction that is profound,” said Gene Rossi, a former federal prosecutor from Virginia. “This statement is a jewel of an admission that sheds light on the intent of not only himself but possible members of his family and campaign. In layman’s terms, the president truly stepped in it.

“If I were trying the case, the video would be Exhibit One. In fact, this quote would be the first sentence out of my mouth in my opening statement to the jury. Stay tuned.”

David Weinstein, a former federal prosecutor from South Florida, said any American connected to an election had a “fundamental responsibility” to report contact with foreign agents, with repercussions on national security and potential violations of foreign lobbying laws. “The comments made today show that he doesn’t have even a basic grasp of the laws that exist in our country,” Weinstein told POLITICO.

The political Blowback from Trump’s remarks was swift.

Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, said on CNN that he was stunned but unsurprised by the president’s remarks. Schiff countered Trump’s and Kushner’s assessments that foreign help did not need to be reported, saying that foreign contact must be declared just as campaign contributions.

“Donald Trump has made it clear that he will engage in any action, no matter how unethical or unpatriotic, that he will go up to the line of what’s legal and indeed he looks like he crossed that line many times,” Schiff said.

Schiff also said it was “pure nonsense” that members of Congress would receive foreign assistance in campaigns and not report it.

“He projects onto others his own lack of morality,” Schiff said of the president.

Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.), chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, also responded with dismay, saying that accepting foreign assistance could put Trump “indebt to a foreign power… not to mention the foreign interference in an American election part.“

Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.) and Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) both introduced legislation in April that would require candidates to declare any foreign assistance to the FBI. After the ABC clip went public, Blumenthal called Trump’s comments “America‘s worst nightmare.“

“A President saying he would welcome political campaign aid from sworn enemies like Russia & China,” Blumenthal wrote on Twitter. “Trump’s happy acceptance of illicit dirt shows his conscience to be a cesspool — he‘d rather sacrifice national security for personal self interest.”

And earlier in the day, Rep. Jim Himes (D-Conn.), who sits on the House Intelligence Committee, ardently refuted that campaigns normally accept foreign assistance during a hearing Wednesday. “That is not what campaigns do,“ he said.

Democrats running for president in 2020 were quick to condemn Trump‘s remarks.Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) tweeted soon after the interview clip was published: “A foreign government attacked our 2016 elections to support Trump, Trump welcomed that help, and Trump obstructed the investigation. Now, he said he’d do it all over again. It’s time to impeach Donald Trump.”

Warren has called for Trump’s impeachment since the release of a redacted version of special counsel Robert Mueller’s report on Russian interference in the 2016 election.

Other Democrats — including Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand of New York, Sen. Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota, Rep. Seth Moulton of Massachusetts, Gov. Jay Inslee of Washington, Sen. Kamala Harris of California and Sen. Cory Booker of New Jersey — echoed Warren‘s tweet.

Former Vice President Joe Biden condemned the remarks by saying foreign interference was a question of national security, not politics.

“An American President,“ he wrote on Twitter, “should not seek their aid and abet those who seek to undermine democracy.”

Hope that paragraph was pretentious enough. If not...meditating on 'The First law of thermodynamics...No energy in the universe is created and none is destroyed'. So all is well...

The recent magnificent Wargames with Russia and China...300 thousand men, (that's a lot) many fields of tanks and nautical miles filled with battleships, necessary because of (according to a joint statement from the protagonists) 'dangerous times' and 'unstable situations'. Reminds me of Bill Hicks quoting George Bush the older (the CIA president) saying 'The world is a dangerous place'...'yeah, thanks to YOU, quit arming the world!'. But this time around, these unstable situations are being more egged on and supported by Russia, gleefully supported as always by all those those make weapons. Trump is not the 'human' being to slow this down. Nature abhors a vacuum and she is rushing now to fill various empty heart/mind and soulless actions made by various leaders with processes of an irreversible...well... nature...Only '12 years' left now to avert climate change disaster...your newborns this year might very well inherit a desert. Well, if it was good enough for the Israelites...

(The lousy alchemist cook says make sure they are washed and/or dried right. Vomiting mould covered nipple tops before any hallucinogenic gets into the blood proper is very little fun. (Can't have an easily affordable education, that would be dangerous) A weak and easily breakable man. Expect Facebook to go on paying even less tax, abusing your private information and allowing Russia et al free rein to influence the populace.

A month before that, because of hearing shouting, I looked out of my own window one afternoon to see a six foot six skinhead, in army clothes and big black leather boots on a balcony opposite, drunk and rousingly crying out about Deutschland for five minutes in German to his mates in the kitchen behind him as he clasped a beer can. Perhaps he was only joking. Unlikely the grandmother living alone and above his flat thought so. And as for the massive shaven headed Slovak steroid monsters with tattoos on their necks who shout at each other in conversation even when both are sitting two feet away, their biggest insult to their tiny two old kids is to angrily shout 'Little gypsy!' at them when they do something wrong. Back to the happy days of being able to wipe out the planet seventy times over and rational cold war paranoia...at some point a computer will finally analyse all probable outcomes for the last time and find the one way in which a nuclear war could be won with minimal death on the home side. Take the time and read the report. Then ask yourself, if your children, parents or close friends needed a transplant to save their life (and you could afford a fast Chinese military hospital operation) would you truly care where the organ came from as long as it was healthy? I have lost count (triple figures now) of how many customers in a certain shop I have seen standing next to a big, clearly printed sign on the counter to 'ring for service', watching them get ever more impatient as those who are working hard behind the scenes remain deaf and blind to their existence. And signs on the front door, inside and outside also in two languages, asking customers to please close the door.  A third of them never do, even in heavy winter. The evil within me takes a savage glee at the depth of stupidity of these shameless idiots. The pathetic being within rejoices that he is not quite as dumb as these retarded bipeds and the fake existentialist feels a sweeping wave of sheer galactic horror. But...

Back to the litany once again and forever...quality over quantity. I have optimism for the few. They/you WILL make it. You will create it and become it. As long as you understand how to open a f...ing door, you are halfway there.
