Ok but the fact that recently theres been a real surge in people who worked on supernatural talking about dean and cas and even openly talking about destiel while theres ALSO been a ton of talk also by people who worked on supernatural about a season 16 actually fucking happening is driving me certifiably insane. I am truly and deeply and genuinely obsessed with the way Jackles talks about Castiel's goodbye. Because objectively he shouldn't be that much affected by it????? Misha? Sure. He played Cas for 12 years. And it was Castiel's final send-off that he fought HARD for. But Jensen????? Why???? After all, it wasn't HIS character's send-off??? and yet. Every time he mentions the confession he does it unprompted. And he speaks about it with so much genuine care and affection. And respect. And pride. HE HAD IT RECORDED ON HIS PHONE!!! and he actually watched the recording. And he mentions Castiel's goodbye whenever asked about difficult scenes to play alongside Dean's death scene??? Like. when asked about the hardest scenes to play he talks about Dean's goodbye obviously BUT ALSO about Castiel's goodbye. He calls it PIVOTAL and BRILLIANT. And its so clear how affected he was by it. Because he "cared deeply" about the character (Cas) and the actor (Misha). This is genuinely so unhinged. Insane man.

Jensen saying Dean’s biggest regret is that he couldn’t save Cas is already insane, right? But it makes sense, it makes sense to us because we believe that Cas wasn’t saved. We believe that Cas wasn’t saved. We believe that Cas wasn’t saved.

I simply don’t like when people act like what happened to Jack is what should have happened (as if the show didn’t deliberately spell out it would be Bad beforehand!), or like we can hand-wave GodJack as being fine and good in a continuation as long as other ~more important topics~ like destiel are eventually addressed.

Jack’s fate is the crux of the tragedy of the finale. Supernatural is a show about parents and children, and that cycle of violence remains unbroken. Jack was forced to become like his grandfather (the cosmic Father of the universe) because that’s who his fathers needed/wanted him to be. Jack shouldn’t be seen as an afterthought or a side note. He’s the thematic center that ties everything together, including the queer family structure of destiel.

So here’s my hot take: whether or not they go fully explicit with any kind of Chuck won concept (and they don’t necessarily have to)… any continuation must address that what happened to Jack isn’t a good thing — for him, for their family, or for the universe since the show stated God shouldn’t have personhood — in order to truly be fulfilling.

November 6-7, 2023 - The celebration continues.

Destiel continues trending amidst the annual November 5 mass hysteria. Previous posts here: [x] [x].

A brief panic was caused by the (as of yet unconfirmed) information suggesting that another season of Supernatural or a movie is in the works [x] [x]. CW Supernatural's Instagram profile has posted a short clip with a caption "And the story continues.. #Supernatural" [x]. The profile however regularly posts clips and photos, so fear not, this doesn't appear to be happening yet and may be simply a misunderstanding (I would love to see the day this happens though, if only to witness the chaos).

Yesterday, all the destiel posting caused for the "November 5" tag to trend separately from the main destiel tag. Today, the trend dropped from the first place and it looks like it might be quieting down. Till next year of course, with many other Supernatural trends until then. This is a Supernatural fan site after all.

Thinking about my dream season 16 where every episode before cas comes back starts with a flashback to a "missing scene" from dean and cas' relationship, the fanfiction gap from season 9, making and giving cas the mixtape, movie nights, etc, before going on with the rest of the episode. Kinda lik how episodes of the winchesters always started with dean narration relevant to the episode. Episode 1 starts with a flashback to cas rescuing dean from hell btw

Not to make everything about Destiel but If in the first DeanCas reunion scene Dean doesn't grab Castiel by the lapels of his trenchcoat and say: "I love you too, you stupid son of a bitch" then what's even the point of the revival
