I think it was really important specifically for Dee to kiss Yak when he did. Because now, no matter what happens in the future between him and Yak, no matter what pain could come, Dee can look back on his first kiss without regrets. Because that was a kiss made of love. It was made entirely of love for Yak. For who Yak is. For the bond they have. For their friendship. For their relationship. For them. Dee will always be able to look back on his first kiss and know that he got exactly what he wanted from it. He got to keep his silly notion of the perfect first kiss. He got to willingly give his kiss away to someone who he loved that needed it. Every single type of love went into that kiss and now Dee can finally, finally let himself breathe.

Rae's monolog at Icarus right?

"I should just end you right now" -you can just hear in Rae's voice that he doesn't want to, but he should, shouldn't he? After killing Jamie, after they keep siding with the man behind the slaughter, the man who so desperately wanted to get out to 'see his family again', only to take away both Enderian and still holding Isla away and not telling Icarus about that even, not until Rae brought it up

"But ⟟ won't, not because for some fucked up reason ⟟ still care about you but because your father **your** father would take away everything else ⟟ care about if you die" -this bit- right here- mhmmm- holds in my hands

The "your father" part, right there, when Rae repeats it again, he's making sure Icarus knows that that's his dad, not his, he never had been Rae's dad and yet tried "so hard to", that he wants nothing to do with him, he doesn't want to he related to him in any way

Because that's Fable, that's Icarus' dad who married Isla not out of love, out of power, that's the god who stole both of his parents, one by death, the other by hiding her away

"But your wrong, Fable is wrong and your gonna regret it when you fucken relize it" - and yet, despite hitting them with the sword, despite threatening them, he still tries to get through to them, even though he is its not really worth it anymore is it?
