Kokushibou

+ It isn't his preferred temperature, but he can tolerate it

+ He doesn't want to show weakness, so he won't complain

+ He gets a little calmer when it gets dark earlier -- the less sun reminds him less that he can't do Sun Breathing

+ He likes to cuddle up at night with his s/o, and colder weather is good for that

+ But still, he doesn't like feeling cold when he's outside

+ His long, luscious hair helps keep him warm

+ He tries not to let the season change ruin his vibe

+ The cold air does dry out his eyes some, so he needs some eye drops for that

Muzan

+ He likes it -- it keeps the riff-raff away

+ He's relieved when there are less crazy summer people on the streets

+ Everyone gets paler in the winter, so his own skin colour is less evident than in warmer months

+ He does get very angry that the sun isn't out as long

+ He wishes it could be colder but with long hours of sun

+ His little experiments aren't as productive as in the summer because he's always gritting his teeth about how it gets dark so fast

+ His patience wears thin easier and he kills more humans during the winter

+ If you're Douma or Gyokko, you probably get your body slashed in half more often during the winter

Douma

+ This one gets seasonal depression

+ He hates having to wear a coat or layers

+ He hates having to wear a hat to cover up that gorgeous hair of his

+ He complains a lot

+ He says that his bubbly personality needs the sun to give him energy

+ Because he gets depressed, he requires more intimacy with his s/o to get through the winter

+ The only joy he finds in the cold is working on ice sculptures

+ Still, the quality of the natural snow and ice is subpar compared to what he can create during any season

Gyutaro

+ His first words are "fuck, man" whenever he walks outside

+ He's bundled up in so many layers but it's not enough for his skinny ass

+ He can see his breath in the air before anyone else does

+ Sometimes he pulls down his hat so far that it's almost covering his eyes

+ He doesn't understand how or why Daki is still not covering up and wearing skimpy clothes in this weather

+ His skin gets paler and it makes his birthmarks more evident

+ He gets bad dry skin in the winter too

+ Someone give him moisturiser and force him to use it, please

Tahomaru

+ He wants to build snowmen and play in the snow but he always gets sick when he does

+ "Already?" he asks every day when it gets dark early

+ He's pretty tolerant to the cold

+ He likes having warm drinks and soups

+ If his s/o or best friend gets depressed in the winter, he'll feel bad and try to cheer them up

+ He would make candlelight hand-puppet shows

+ He loves to cuddle under blankets

+ He likes that he doesn't get as sweaty but wishes that the winter wouldn't last as long as it doesn

Daigo Kagemitsu

+ He hates winter even more than I do

+ He gets really cranky and angry when there's less sunlight

+ It reminds him of when it used to flood all the time and he gets anxiety from it

+ He's very sensitive to the cold but won't tell anyone

+ He looks like he wants to burn down the world whenever he has to walk in snow

+ He has a hard time waking up in the morning knowing that it's going to be grey and cold

+ This man really needs sunshine and he's struggling

Saburota

+ He's invincible to the cold

+ But he's very sensitive to being wet

+ He's fine, as long as there's no dampness or freezing rain or snow

+ He gets sick when there's snow

+ He uses the cold weather as an excuse to cook more and experiment with food

+ He uses the oven a lot so he can leave it open and let the warm air come into the house

+ He gets tired when it gets dark early

KERORO PLATOON HEADCANONS TIME!!!!! ⭐💀🔰🌸🌀

i originally just wanted to play around with the designs of keroro platoon's members by adding some details.. but if i'm posting this here i can also list my hcs for our favorite space frogs! i don't like how mine yoshizaki gave them all the exact same height and weight.. be more creative!!

i hc that 55cm (~1.8ft) and 5kg (~11lbs) that mine yoshizaki used in the guide for keroro platoon are average height and weight for keronians and not keroro platoon members' actual measurements, use this for comparison!

they all have paws btw!! ^^ and i gave them eyelashes similar to those of bullfrog's from captain laserhawk

feel free to interpret giroro's, tamama's, dororo's and kururu's scars however you want!! :) i personally see most of them as battle scars

i talked abt this briefly before but i have this headcanon also that dororo's still protective of keroro despite everything but it comes and goes

like to me it's extremely striking in this story how he SEES through the situation and basically sees that keroro was I guess manipulated and gets rightfully angry at kururu instead for doing that. keroro is naive and easily fooled, we know this, he's basically as much of a victim here, and I think abt it all the time...

I think deep down dororo is able to see underneath to keroro's true feelings so he does know that he means well, even if he doubts it often

He can try to deny it, but anyone who knows Tahomaru knows he's a sensitive boy

All headcanons are in a platonic relationship and are SFW

+ He is easily soothed by blankets, fuzzy socks, and warm tea

+ He cries sometimes. Don't tell him that he's crying but be there with him so he isn't alone

+ He'll also go on full brat mode and yell at anyone who enters his space while he's crying, but if it's you, he will apologise after and then get even more sad

+ He values your being with him more than he will ever say, but he shows it through gifts and doing acts of service

+ He likes when you style his hair for him, but he denies how much he values it

+ He melts into your hugs

+ He loves, loves hugs

+ Just hug him and feel his muscles relax into the embrace

+ He gets flustered if you comment on his height

+ He's sensitive about his height and don't EVER tell him that it's ok because he'll grow more as he gets older

bi/pan hyakkimaru is so real to me btw I need to go off for a sec

one could argue that hyakkimaru prefers girls because it’s a rather stable constant across all the different adaptations. but post-2019 you could also argue that he’s mainly drawn to certain traits that are most often exemplified by women of the time: calm, collected, considerate, and not super overbearing. I don’t think he’d care if it was a boy showcasing these traits instead. after all, he uses the term “mama” to refer to a compassionate caretaker regardless of gender, completely unaware of its connotation. I think he’d use “brother” or “lover/partner/wife” with a similar mindset

while im unsure if his stance would change as he learns about the world or if he continues going about life gender-blind, I like the idea of him starting out that way. it’s a stark contrast to the original where his disabilities and his psychic buffs were balanced differently, allowing him to learn more earlier on. and one big thing he adopted was a very black-and-white stance on gender

one upbringing may sew the seeds for a preference while the other could negate preferences entirely; regardless he’d have to go down different branching paths to find his true self. it just depends on what sort of options he’s exposed to as he grows up, whether girls or boys or perhaps something else (i am a firm believer in nb mutsu still)

I had a really fun drawing session with @bunni-hopper the other day! We were just drawing Keroro stuff, and I ended up drawing a sort-of reference for Giroro to make up for the fact that I drew him in regular dress shoes last time. Shame on me! He's a combat boots man!!

Some details/headcanons:

Keronians don't have "ethnicities", but I had him be Viet in mind.

Giroro is the 2nd tallest of the Keroro Platoon.

In the original series, he has a crush on Natsumi, but in this gijinkaverse of sorts, he sees her as a rival.

I imagine him (along with Keroro and Dororo) to be in his mid-30s.

Has a crush on Kururu, but is in severe denial (Kururu knows and takes full advantage of this).

More or less the same as his original counterpart: very serious and hot-headed.

He still has a photo of his family in his belt buckle, and he will never replace it!

Writes surprisingly good poetry. Once submitted it to a radio show, and it made many girls cry.

Friendship Power Scaling (normal thing to do)

Hello space frog fans, how’s everyone? Take another random off-the-cuff analysis post while I procrastinate on the more significant things I’m supposed to be doing (including the Project I plan to reveal when I put up the next part of said project) because I feel like my brain is melting like candle wax these days.

Here’s a topic I’m sure people have thought about but not really put a quantification to: I will be ranking the Keroro Platoon and their partners by their mutual closeness, as in which have the most believable Platonic Soulmates dynamic. (Read: strictly platonic we do not ship any of these in this house.) Why? Idk do I look like I know why I do anything?

So first place is Keroro and Fuyuki. Duh. Literal world-saving levels of bestest best besties forever, would be completely devastated without each other, needs very little explanation really. I guess it is sort of funny that in terms of demeanor they are maybe the least similar out of the duos but they adore each other so much it just doesn’t even matter.

Second I would say is Dororo and Koyuki. Koyuki rescued Dororo both physically and emotionally and completely changed his outlook on everything pretty much, and Dororo is Koyuki’s only real constant in her life from the village. Dororo is pretty overtly more loyal to her and their shared duty to the Earth than he is to the platoon lmao. More pronounced in the manga but still. It’s kinda hard to pinpoint their exact relationship (siblings? Dororo is her dad? Koyuki is his emotional support human?) but their bond is definitely Very Special. Even in the new project trailer Koyuki is holding him, they are so friggin sweet dude.

For third I’m gonna be spicy and say it’s Kururu and Saburo yes I am very biased but hear me out. Despite being the only pair that doesn’t live together it is heavily implied that they are near perfectly in sync but just have a really weird indirect communication system that’s sort of obscured from the audience and even more so the rest of the cast. They act nonchalant about it but they will drop whatever they’re doing immediately if the other needs a solid no questions asked. In the manga they’re even more openly buddy-buddy with all the 親友 and マブダチ talk (anime Kururu is tsun af and pretends he’s too cool for friendship) but they get even less screen time together so rip. I’ve spent more than enough time on these two before but yeah they have extreme best bro energy everyone else just isn’t big-brained enough to Get It.

Fourth is Tamama and Momoka. They’re very much cut from the same cloth and are definitely like siblings, helps that they’re the closest in age out of all the pairs (Tamama might even be a little younger than Momoka depending on what exact Keronian age theory you subscribe to). Momoka pampers Tamama like a pet, they occasionally boost each other via training, and Tamama helps with Momoka’s Love Schemes. But despite the fact that they are kindred spirits in several ways I think they put their pursuits of Keroro and Fuyuki a little above their friendship. And Momoka is not afraid to just kinda kick Tama’s ass, sometimes for good reason sometimes for no reason lol. They still love each other they’re just not as deep in each other’s heads as the higher duos.

And finally the take that would get me tarred and feathered in earlier Keroro fandom days which is putting Giroro and Natsumi last. Okay, so we know Giroro is for better or worse extremely dedicated to Natsumi in an arguably unhealthy way (well, it’s not rly arguable lol, but it’s more innocuous if you headcanon father figure theory and not The Other Thing). But does Giroro have the same level of importance to Natsumi? Eh, I mean she sees him as a close family friend and she obviously really cares about him plus certainly favors hanging out with him well over the other little guys (though she is closer with Keroro than it seems), but I think the affection is very lopsided on one end here. They both have a warrior-like disposition and a soft side but idk how much they relate outside that. And they’re not really each other’s clear BFF in the same way the other duos are since Natsumi has Koyuki and Giroro has Keroro (and Dororo as part of the RGB trio but it’s Keroro who is specifically stated to be his Best Friend in the manga). Their friendship is very cute but they just don’t have the same Unbreakable Bond Sauce that the others have yknow. And sadly they kinda Have to be a little less good at reading each other for the Giroro pining over her jokes to land. Sadly.

Well that’s it, kind of ironic the explanations got longer the lower down the list but that’s more where I felt I had to justify my positions. Like nobody is going to argue me about Keroro and Fuyuki right. At least I hope not because then I think we might have watched a different show? I mean I guess they win a bit less overwhelmingly in Sgt Frog Abridged maybe you watched that. Fuyuki gives Keroro a speech about how fucked up he is in that one that was surprisingly metal
