BlueBerror Context in EotU

If you don't mind being spoiled the plot of Echoes of the Unseen then feel free to proceed.

Let me give y'all some context regarding my beloved little BlueBerror in this AU/fanfic idea of mine. So as usual in UTMV fanfics, Blue is introduced to the readers as a ingenuous, kind, and cheerful monster who is allied/friends with Dream, and often helps him fight back against Nightmare and Error in their 'Star Sanses' group.

In Error's memories/interludes, we see how Blue was kidnapped by Error once-upon-a-time (those who know, you know), yet instead of being fearful or angry from the way Error justified his actions with his cynical world-view, Blue expresses pity for Error, stating that he perhaps only needs a friend in his isolation. And while Blue is genuine in his statement and belief, in reality he is also meaning to emotionally manipulate Error into letting him go (bc my man Blue is optimistic not a fucking idiot.)

Of course, Error being the paranoid manbaby he is, catches on to Blue's intent to take advantage of his loneliness/affection-starvation and impulsively abandons him in the anti-void after lashing out (so basically follows the Ask-Error-Sans canon up to this point).

Blue glitches out after some time and manages to escape from the anti-void by his own power, and immediately goes on the search for his family. However, Blue quickly discovers that his world has been left abandoned after Error destroyed the majority of it and after a goose-chase, finds that his family has since moved on without him. Heartbroken but not completely discouraged, Blue then seeks out Dream and Ink. Because surely, his friends haven't forgotten about him, and would surely have a solution to his predicament?

Not quite. Blue manages to track them down (its been quite some time since he's been kidnapped after all) only to find that he's been 'replaced' by another Underswap Sans, and he becomes devastated.

This is when Blue comes to understand the cynical world-view that Error preached while they were together, and simultaneously becomes disillusioned with his own optimistic ideals.

Blue nearly falls into a similar spiral of madness that Error had underwent as he struggles to comprehend his loss of identity and meaning, however realizes he still has one thing left; being Error's friend.

Blue - now christened as BlueBerror (BB), returns to Error, who reacts to his transformation with discomfort, wariness, and guilt. BB however, reassures Error that even after going through all of this, he still did not hate him, and wanted to be friends with him. He even thanks Error for making him come to reality, acknowledges and apologizes for trying to emotionally manipulate him before, and avows that now that they were more similar to each other, they could be true friends. Error, feeling too guilty to turn him down, allows BB to stay and accepts his friendship.

As BB stays with Error, he develops a bitter envy and hostility towards the multiverse, and in his mental instability instilled by his transformation, becomes increasingly passive aggressive, manipulative, and possessive towards Error - as he has now based his entire sense of self and purpose on being Error's friend.

So, when Error starts to become close to Nightmare, BB views it as a threat to his place as Error's one and only friend, and starts to interfere with their relationship by inspiring Error to isolate himself from others, feeding his paranoia, and manipulating him. (General toxic behavior, emotional manipulating and gaslighting, y'know, all that shit.)

Eye of the Universe

Summary: Decades after the final battle with the Sith on Exegol, war continues to ravage the galaxy. The Resistance fades from the system’s collective memory, and Rey realizes the only way to rectify the state of the galaxy would be to stop the Galactic Empire from having ever formed. To ensure as much, she uses the last of her strength to will the Force to send her through time so that she may give an important mission to a young Padawan learner by the name of Bahan Naberrie.

Chapter One: Folds of the Universe

If they are to be trained as Jedi, most younglings are chosen by a master between the ages of nine and thirteen, with few outliers. Bahan Naberrie is ten years old when Jedi Master Saesee Tiin selects her as his apprentice.

Seasee never spent much time in the crèche, having come to the Jedi Order when he was fourteen years old, but needs must. He incurs a sparring injury that is more vexing than truly pernicious, but it is onerous enough to warrant temporary reassignment. Rather than venture out on a diplomatic mission with Master Kit Fisto, he oversees the Jedi initiates as they meditate in the mornings.

The younglings struggle to focus, twitching and blinking at their friends and giggling, and he struggles to be patient with them. After the tenth gentle correction with little result, he sighs and sits before the brood, opting to lead by example and meditate himself. Unfortunately, this tactic fails, too, and he opens his eyes to seek out the worst culprit for punishment.

Rather than narrow in on the Nautolan boy in the corner feigning flatulence or the pair of Gungan girls in the middle of the group poking one another, his eyes fasten to a human girl sitting in the back row. Her hands rest on her knees, her fingers straight and still as her breathing, and they remain so even as the other children snort and shriek and squirm. Her eyes are closed, and they open only when she senses his attention through the Force as he harmonizes with her. She blinks wide at him before her gaze drops to her lap, and she shuts her eyes again.

He lets the meditation session run its course, most of the children regaining and losing focus in turns. The girl in the back endures the hour, and at its end, she approaches him, having felt his desire to speak with her. He rises to meet her.

“Yes, Master Tiin,” she asks, staring up at him with guileless eyes. As an Iktotchi man nearing his mid-life, he towers over her, and he knows his large cranial horns and sunken eyes do nothing to soften his appearance. Nevertheless, she does not look timid in the least.

“What is your name, young one,” he inquires, further intrigued by her.

Some measure of amusement flickers across her face, but it is gone as soon as it appeared. “Bahan Naberrie.”

As the other children crowd around the door, clamoring to each other about what they hope will be served for lunch and how they wish to spend the afternoon, Bahan’s attention stays with him. He asks her, “You don’t like to play with the other children?”

“When they’re calmer,” she tells him, nonchalant.

He feels his smile, which he is told looks more like a sneer, make an appearance. She does not cower from it. “Do you have a master?”

At this, she perks up, her excitement beginning to near that of the other children.

the beauty of Travellers at the EotU is that you CAN'T just let it play and enjoy it forever. it fizzles out and stops. they're not playing anymore. those one hour tracks on youtube are wonderful but in its context, you simply cannot and will not keep playing a lovely little tune with your friends (or rather your memory of them) forever. life isn't eternal, no moment lasts for good, and at some point the music will stop playing, you'll be separated whether you want to or not, so you better embrace it and enjoy the melody till the very last moment you can – and then you let it go. it's another stellar example of the way music informs story in Outer Wilds.

Art of Elise from Edge of The Unkown (OC)

Here's one of my first space pirate ladies :D Elise is a former dancer, who joined Jamie Hooke's pirate crew after some Silly Unspecified Hijinks. Although she's generally cold towards most of the crew, she has a big heart, and goes out of her way to research the disabilities of each of her crewmembers so she better knows how to care for each of them. She's experienced in heavy weaponry, and often is the one in charge of the maintenance and upkeep of the ship's weaponry, as well as the one usually firing them. :3 Feel free to drop any questions about Elise or EOTU.

Echoes of the Unseen - [Fanfiction Idea]

Hey y'all! My brain decided to cook up the most brilliant fanfic storyline while I was taking a bath - BUT since I already have several other stories that have yet to be finished, you all on my Tumblr get to listen to my ranting over it and why this will be my Roman Empire :D First of all, the story is centralized between Error and Nightmare and their Enemies-to-Lovers romance (yes the fic is Errormare bc they are my babies <3) ANYWAY- The whole basis of the story is pretty bland and regular on the surface, y'know, Error being forced to play nice with Nightmare bc of the Stars going up his ass, they dance around one another as they learn to interact with each other, catch feelings all that shit yeah BUT LISTEN. LET ME COOK!!!!

Throughout the story, the readers are privy to Error's insanity through his behavior and the voices in his head. Early on in the story the voices in Error's head are made known, including a particular voice that I will refer to as One. As the story progresses, we see One interfere with their developing relationship by constantly dissuading Error from getting close to him, instilling distrust and paranoia, and even verbally abusing Error. (Gaslight central essentially)

In addition to these voices, the readers are made to question Error's reliability as a narrator as we are given interludes of his memories in between important moments in the story, where we see Error developing a friendship with Blue. However, outside of the interludes and in the present plotline, Error and Blue's relationship is depicted very differently, and in dissonance to the narrative built up in Error's memories.

Later on near the climax of the story, it is revealed to the readers that One, who we thought was one of Error's voices up to this point, is ACTUALLY A REAL PERSON, who's presence was omitted through the best trope, "unreliable narrator" my beloved. BUT ALSO, THEY ARE BLUEBERROR - WHO IS ACTUALLY THE BLUE WE SEE INTERACT WITH ERROR IN HIS MEMORIES.

NOW BOOM, WE GOT A BLUEBERROR SURPRISE MAIN ANTAGONIST AND I DON'T CARE IF YOU THINK THIS IS A MID PLOTTWIST IT IS VERY INGENIOUS TO MEE.

My Sci-Fi Book:

Hello, everyone!

So I��ve been working on a science fiction book for a while now, and I’m finally confident enough to share it here :D It’s an Autistic/ADHD LGBTQIA+ science fiction adventure/space opera with crude humor, heavy language, violence, drama, and romance!

What it’s about:

A cute but damaged autistic guy and a douchey but delightfully endearing dude-bro robot get sucked back into their old lives when they learn the new government on their former home planet is now an even more violently oppressive capitalist regime. The new government, known as the Katholikos Alliance, plans on "Cleansing" the undesirables from their society, particularly autistic and disabled people. The boys must figure out who to trust and how far they'll go to protect the unprotected—all while blasting metal, smoking weed, and vibing. (there’s more details on the Kickstarter page!)

There's a mysterious and beautiful trans space witch, a hot and brooding "Emo Greek God" scientist, a cryptic and reclusive ancient alien race billions of years more advanced than everyone else, an ethereal being that lives outside of time and space, plenty of neat science fiction stuff, realistic autistic characters, and lots of talk about mental health.

this has taken me ages to actually smooth out and get the look right BUT here's the redesign for a francis (a character I've had for years), FINALLY. fun fact: I spent 3 solid hours just tweaking the pinks, and I figured out how to design and clothe digitigrade legs purely so I could avoid having to draw human ones.

I'm super pleased with it, I wanted to move away from his previous design w/ the suit and tie bc it just didn't really fit his vibes, and after a bit of experimentation with different fashion styles I FINALLY landed on a sort of glam rock-esque deal.I'm super pleased with it, I think it's one of my best pieces of character design yet; I'm still figuring out how I feel about the colours but I reckon if I do change it it won't be much.

The Attlerock: What was your initial impression of your F/O when you saw them in their source? Was it love at first sight or did the feelings creep up on you? Did you dislike them at first?

OKOK since i already answered for childe let me do this for zhongli ... when i first saw him in the story & when his banner came out i honestly didn’t really care much about him. I MEAN!! why would i. he was just a loser!!!

but then i think i wrote with a zhongli muse and then it got me thinking silly things. i was unconciously self inserting myself into the story errr and then i started looking at fanart and hcs and then...!!!! i watched some clip of his voice and it just made me feel fucking crazy okay
