Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Warnings: Smut, small knife play, Teratophilia i guess, friends to lovers.
A/N: pretend that scream came out in 1980 and not in the 90s. Also happy halloween ya filthy animals.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1984
Tonight was Halloween,which happens to be one of my most favorite holidays. but instead of getting dressed up and going out to get shit faced drunk with Steve and Nancy at Tina's party, I was chilling at home, all by myself, my little brother was with Dustin and the rest of the boys and my best friend was doing business at the halloween parties that are happening around town. so, here I was. watching the horror classics and my most favorite movie, which was Scream. There was something about ghostface that made me tingle. i was in the kitchen getting some snacks together when there was a thump on the top floor.
"the hell was that?"
My house phone began to ring.
"hello?"
"y/n!” Mrs. Wheeler.
"Oh hey, Mrs Wheeler, how are you?"
"I'm doing great darling, I was calling because Y/B/N just asked if he could stay over, I told him it was alright but I wanted to make sure it was alright with your parents."
"Well, they are out of town, but I don't mind that he stays over. He loves your house more than ours, especially if it involves D&D." we both chuckled at that and said our goodbyes.
There was a loud crash which sounded like it came from my room.
“It better not be carver and his fucking goons” I walked up the stairs, i'm really not in the mood to deal with their shit. Last year they decided to toilet paper my entire front yard. They like to torment us misfits of this town. Thinking they are better than everyone because they have money and such.
when I came into my room and the first thing I saw made my heart drop. My window was wide open, and my bedside lamp was knocked over. I don't know if I was getting goosebumps from the cold autumn chill flowing through my small room, or I was making myself paranoid to actually think Jason is going a little overboard. my  heart was pounding hard, leaning out of my window i saw no sign of jason and his friends only kids that were going door to door, my brother and his friends cleaned out our stash of candy before other kids in the neighborhood could get to it so i didn't bother leaving the front porch light on to indicate that the house had candy.
I huffed and slammed the window shut. I was about to turn around until a leather gloved hand clasped over my mouth, I let out a muffled scream.
“Curiosity killed the cat, darlin." A dark, deep voice disguised with a voice changer whispered into my ear, sending chills up and down my spine. I felt a long piece of metal make contact with my throat. It was most definitely a knife. I started to struggle against the mysterious person's hold. His hand slipped off my mouth.
“Jason i swear to god you are crossing the line this year!”
"Shut up, or I'll slit your pretty little throat, and I'm not that asshole." he said, then began to chuckle deeply when he realized I relaxed against his hold when he told me he wasn't jason. But I soon went stiff again when the man began to pull me backward from the window. He quickly spins me around. his attire. was dirty, beat up white Reeboks, black ripped jeans, a leather jacket paired with the infamous white ghost face mask. The mysterious man smelled of weed and cigarettes  which was an all to familiar smell to me. so i played along.
"So what do you want?" I snapped.
 “You've always been so feisty” he let out a low chuckle. He used the tip of the knife to trace my collar bone gently. “I just wanna play with you before I kill you."
“Is that so, Mr. Ghostface?” I smirked. He pressed the knife harder into my skin, causing a small cut to appear, and a single stream of blood began to flow. This caused me to moan softly.
"Hm you're a little horror slut aren't you" he lifted my chin with the knife, i wished i could see his face that was hidden under the mask.
"My my, you are a pretty looking thing. Wearing nothing but panties and a thin tank top” he commented as his free hand found my throat.
“Doesn't sound like you are complaining” I breathed.
"You're right, princess. I might consider letting you live for you to be my personal plaything. How's that sound?" the man said with a playful tone. the pet name fully confirmed my suspicion on who it was. The only person I know that calls me princess was Eddie, who I've had a crush on since elementary school. And thanks to Steve babbling his mouth one day at school. I finally knew he returned that same affection.
"Deal," I smirked.
 “Hm, that's what i thought princess lets see how much of a horror slut you really are then, shall we? Shirt off and get on your knees." he demanded, slowly taking off my shirt letting my tits bounce free as I lowered myself onto my bedroom floor.
"I can't wait to wreck this pretty face of yours,' he groans.
“take my cock out. Now". undoing the jean button and zipper quickly, I swiftly pulled him out. I licked my lips to the site of his cock. Eddie cock was standard. But it was deliciously thick and veiny, not waiting for his approval. I placed a long lick from the base of his cock all the way to the tip, giving it a good suck causing him to immediately buck his hips which pushed him further down my throat. "s-shit" he growled, this time his voice sounding a bit breathy. "just like that" his breath hitch when I went faster, swallowing him completely causing tears in my eyes.
"you're sucking me so fucking good." he said as he placed a hand on the top of my head he started to face fucking me, wet noises and gagging began to echo in the room.
"shit, fuck y/n" he groaned and threw his head back. My thighs began to clench together when I finally heard my name which made me hum a moan causing him to almost cum down my throat. He grabbed a handful of my hair and abruptly pulled your mouth off of him with a wet pop.
"I want to cum in that pussy," he said growling.
"Then do it, Munson."
“H-How did you know it was me?” His voice sounded like he was pouting behind the mask.
“You called me princess, and I know your smell” I giggled. He sighed as he gently caressed my face with his leather hand, and the other removed the voice changer.
 “I don't wanna stop Eddie” I looked up at the black holes of the ghost face mask. “Strip for me, but leave the mask on and also put your rings back on” I said as I grabbed his leather clad hand, bringing it to my mouth and using my teeth to take the glove off him. He groaned deeply at the sight. He quickly put them back on and stripped. I stood up from the ground, and my knees were screaming at me from giving him a blow job on the wooden floor.
“Mr.ghostface? Arent you going to fuck me” i batted my eyes.
"Indeed princess, i'm going to have you dying over this cock" his now ringed hand went to my neck squeezing it lightly as he backed me into my bed. I fell back with a soft thud as he stood before me.
"Let's get these off, shall we?" Eddie immediately cut off my panties with the knife. I was unbelievably wet.
"So wet for me babygirl" his fingers gently ran down up and down my slick slit, making me jump slightly at contact.
"Such a sinful sight," he was prepared  to completely ruin me. Thank fucking god i thought, he suddenly pushed himself into me fully.  “E-Eddie” I whined. The feeling of him stretching my tight cunt made me gasp at finally feeling full. The feeling I didn't know I was missing from him, I was already addicted to him but now I'm also addicted to his cock.
"Fuck y/n, i should have done this sooner, you're so fucking tight." he groaned lowly as he tightly grasped my hips and his thrusts got faster.
“Yes you should have” my eyes immediately rolled to the back of my head as his cock pounded into me.
"f-fuck. Your cock feels so fucking good, Eds" i began to moan loudly, his head back falls and he lets moan out.
"You take my cock so well princess, it was made for you, y-yes…..take it just like that." he leaned over me, the mask was cool against my warm cheek as he pounded me deeper into the mattress.
"E-Eddie Im abo….." I breathed heavily, gripping the sheets, my knuckles turning white.
"Cum for me babygirl '' with that i saw stars and it felt like my body was on fire. I clamped down so hard on his cock he let out a loud moan in my ear. He contined to fuck me through my orgasim "damn princess, squeezing this cock so fucking hard." he breathed.
"Eddie!" I continued to moan as I felt another orgasim on its way.
"You're mine!" he growled.  I ripped off the mask from his face, I wanted to stare into those beautiful big brown eyes as he fucked me. His long hair is now curtaining our faces.
“This pussy is yours, I'm yours, always have been.” with my words he began to moan as he filled every inch within my pussy with his seed.
My second orgasm hit me harder than the first. It felt like I was ejected out of this universe.he was right i died and gone to heaven. Eddie collapsed on top of me. Our sweaty bodies are melting into one.
"holy fucking shit that was amazing" we both said at the same time which caused us to burst into laughter.
“So y/n? I've been wanting to ask you this since I first met you in elementary…… wanna be my girlfriend”
Giggles “you are truly an oblivious idiot Munson, it's about time you asked me”
“Is that a yes?”
“Yes it is Mr.Ghostface.... also, does that mean i get to live?" i gave him the puppy dog eyes.
"Maybe, if you are a good girl," he says as he slips out of me.
Hell - Vampire!Eddie Munson
Tumblr media
Summary: Vecna, weak and wounded after the events of March 27th 1986, seeks to enact revenge on those who foiled his plans. And his key to such revenge? A boy left behind, barely clinging to life.
Warnings/Themes: Angst, Violence, Kas!Eddie/Vamp!Eddie, Vecna Lives, Body Horror, Blood, Physical and Psychological Torture, Manipulation, Brainwashing, Necromancy, Loss of Soul, Transformation, Major Character Death and Rebirth, Other Biblical and Literary References
Note: So…welcome to my take on Vampire/Kas!Eddie. This fic, entitled Hell, can be read as a stand-alone, but is essentially going to be one of three companion prequels to a Vamp!Eddie AU fic I have in the works. I want to finish FF and get a few more chapters of Store Manager Verse published before I really start working on this idea…but with tomorrow being the “anniversary” of Eddie Munson’s “death” in the Upside Down, it only seems poetic to explore this first.
That being said, this fic and the subsequent fics/chapters in the series will not be for the faint of heart. Please check the above warnings and ask yourself if you are in the correct headspace to proceed. I am happy to answer any questions via PM or Ask.
You can find the As Above, So Below masterlist here.
Please do not interact if you are not 18+.
Enjoy!
"And I looked, and beheld a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him."
—Revelation 6:8
In the beginning, there was pain.
Enough pain that it should have been The End.
Eddie believed the pain meant The End.
But he had never been so lucky to experience the end of any suffering before, so he should have known better.
He couldn't recall the moment Dustin's hands were wrenched away from his body, leaving him floating in the darkness. Or the way his body felt before the teeth ripped into him. Or the act of kindness that led him to this horrible punishment.
The road to Hell was paved with good intentions. It vaguely echoed in the back of his mind, taunting him.
And in some way, Eddie Munson always knew he was going to Hell.
Just not like this.
Tumblr media
First it seized his body and paralyzed him, as acrid tendrils poisoned his veins and his heart and his mind; he briefly recalled reading about Komodo Dragons in 5th grade. The way they ripped into their prey and let the venom work slowly and painfully to overtake them before the feast could begin.
He would not be a feast for the creatures of this realm but for their Master. Repentance for their failed tasks. They would not feed again until he did, wouldn't taste power until his was regained.
And feed is exactly what Vecna did.
The tendrils carded through Eddie's memories and poisoned them: his hopes and fears, everything and everyone he loved and held dear. His joy and indifference and hatred.
They decimated everything good; ripped them up from the roots and salted the ground below them, only leaving unrecognizable scraps behind. Then they latched onto the bad with no intention of ever letting go. Suckled on his sorrow and his hatred gluttonously.
Vecna especially liked to graze on the pain though; those morsels were most succulent and came in abundance. It was never enough, though; in the howling silence, even more pain was willed into existence.
You are alone. They are at fault. They tricked you. Sacrificed you.
Eddie never had a reason to let the pain weigh on his heart before, but his tormentor would see that rectified. He would break him down...
They left you behind. Left you to this fate. Left you to me. To do with you what I please.
...Until he no longer felt anymore.
And do to you I shall...
Tumblr media
After eternity had passed, Eddie's body was unceremoniously dragged across the barren, uneven earth of the Upside Down. He watched the chilling, sizzling, flashing of the unfamiliar sky as he was transported for miles and miles, ad infinitum.
Until a threshold was crossed, and he entered the next circle of unending torture.
His carcass was rent into unnatural shapes, bones cracked, the marrow scraped out. Skin was flayed, flesh split open, until his barely-beating heart was on display and blood splashed weakly onto the over-saturated ground.
His eyes though...remained.
For some reason, Vecna wanted him to see.
The eyes are the windows to the soul, after all.
So he let Eddie stare at the rest of his collection—an unfinished one, but an impressive one nonetheless. He let Eddie stare at the looming pillars; at the empty sockets and gaping maws. At twisted husks that would never truly be filled again.
Because he wanted Eddie to choose to lose his soul. Wanted him to sell it. To trade it for salvation, lest he end up like the others.
It was almost disappointing at how short a time it took...
It was only a day—a day of staring at Chrissy and Fred and Patrick—before he wailed so wildly and begged so loudly that his jaw unhinged and every part of him truly became broken.
And at that moment, everything Eddie Munson was or had been or could ever hope to be no longer belonged to him. He was ripped apart both literally and figuratively. Whatever damage the bats had instinct to cause, it was but a mere drop in the sea of carnage that their Master endeavored to create.
Tumblr media
He could sense the creatures around him, sense their anticipation to frenzy. Whether that was to fight or to feed, only time would tell.
They had worked tirelessly to stitch him back together. Followed their Master's instructions. Some were sacrificed to the cause: their bodies freely given, because their minds would remain.
Part of the greater whole.
He would never be considered whole anymore, but he was possible more than whole; the extra pieces sustained what would have perished due to the crucial part of him that was missing.
"Rise," a groaning, creaking voice sounded and all went silent. As all the creatures of the Upside Down witnessed the completion of a wicked metamorphosis.
The product of their collective toil began to writhe and twitch as it was reborn.
Resurrected.
"Rise," Henry repeated, "and become what you were always meant to be."
And in a realm full of monsters, the thing that rose was truly monstrous.
Leathery wings. Rows of teeth, too many to fit so they left his jaw unnaturally wide. Talons that could rip. Eyes that could cut through any sort of darkness.
He wouldn't bow. His Master remade him so he would never bow. But he still knew his place.
This gift he was given could easily be taken away. He wouldn't squander it.
He made a vow. A promise.
He would serve.
But he made a promise before, he recalled.
A promise not to be a hero.
And as a consequence of breaking that promise, he could never be one again.
Eddie always knew he was going to Hell.
He simply never thought he would become the Prince of it.
Pairings: Eddie Munson x fem!reader
In collaboration with the one and only @darknesseddiem. Stay tuned for their posts later in October!
a/n: I have been playing and watching a lot of horror content lately so this is inspired by that - perfect for the spooky season!
One moment you and Eddie were on the bus to Indianapolis for Eddie’s belated birthday gift - Metallica and W.A.S.P. in one night. Eddie was practically vibrating with excitement while you sat in anticipation. The next moment, darkness. You could hear a chainsaw. You smelled metallic blood and must.
You whimper as you feel someone pulling you up by your wrists. Your hands screamed in pain, a burning sensation tingling from your hyperextended shoulders to the tips of your fingers.You feet no longer touched the ground. The only thing running through your head was Eddie. Where’s Eddie? Where. Is. Eddie… Your eyes peered open and your blurred vision revealed a darkened room full of rotten wood planks and tools you would never know the name of. A burly figure turned away from you before unconsciousness took over you again.
Your body jolted awake as your crumpled form was cut down and hit the dusty floor. You let out soft moans as you try to open your eyes. It was the comfort of a welcome voice that snapped you back to reality. Opening your eyes, you see the unruly curls, soft brown eyes and luscious lips of your boyfriend. He lightly slapped at your face.
“Come on baby, we gotta get up. We gotta get out of here.” Eddie whispered desperately. You were confused. Where were you? You had just realized how much danger you were in as your eyes finally focused on what was in front of you. Eddie’s eyes had hardened in fear and adrenaline. His beautiful pale complexion was tainted with deep red blood coming from a cut just under his fringe. His lip was split and his chest was heaving with desperate pants. He pulled you up by your bound wrists, eliciting a pained hiss from you.  You peered down in disgust at your raw and bleeding wrists entangled with wiry rope. You whined
“Shh, baby. I know it hurts. But we’re gonna die if we stay here. We gotta stay quiet and we need to move quick.”
“Ed, where-”
“I don’t know, honey. But all I know is if we stay here we’re gonna die, okay? We gotta go now”
You nod wearily, too weak to be afraid. All you knew was Eddie. You needed to follow Eddie. You turned your head to notice small peaks of sunlight peering through the rotten panels of wood. Your head pounded as the small rays pierced through your eyes. You couldn’t see any windows and the one door seemed to be boarded up. How did you get in here? You limped towards the grimy work table, desperate for something to free your wrists. Your hands roamed without abandon, fear starting to settle into your bones. Eddie grabbed your wrist to halt your sporadic movements.
“Quiet, babe. Here. Let me help you” Eddie pulled at the brittle rope. His strong hands were able to fray the rope enough for you to untangle your hands. You rubbed at your wrists in hopes to ease some of the burning pain, to no avail.
You continued to carefully palm at the tools to find anything sharp - a salvation at self defense. You managed to find an old rusted screwdriver. With an excited huff, you shoved the tool into your jeans pockets and shuffled over to your boyfriend who had his cheeks pressed against the boarded door.
“The boards seem to be really rotten. I think I can break the board and we can just run for it.” Eddie huffed.
“Eds, what if there’s no way out once we get out of here? What if there’s someone waiting for us when we open the door?”
“Then you run as fast as you can for as long as you can until you can find help.” Eddie’s eyes locked you. He studied your face like it may be the last time he ever saw it. There was sadness in his eyes. You shook your head violently at him with a whimper. You refused to leave him here.
“Listen to me, please” his voice was small, pleading. “If it comes down to it, I need you to promise me that you will run and you won’t look back.” He cupped your bloodied cheeks with his clammy hands. “Please, Y/N.” You let your tears stain your red face with a somber shake of your head. Eddie pulled you in for a kiss so sweet you wish you could just float away with him. It brought you back to when he kissed you at the hideout, tasting of beer and mint gum. He cupped your face similar to how he was now: desperate to get lost in the moment with you, but scared to break you as well. He pulled away and looked at you like you held the whole universe in your hands. You cry into Eddie’s chapped lips as you remember the moment, hoping that this wouldn’t be the last kiss you ever got.
Crackles of dirt outside the door snapped both of you out of your moment. Your hearts both sank to your stomachs. Eddie put his finger up to his mouth as you covered yours. You couldn’t help your heavy breathing. You silently pulled the screwdriver out of your back packet and held it so tight you thought you would bruise your hand. The shuffling paused. You heard the sliding of wood before the small sliver of light became a flood. A bulky shadow infiltrated the light and without hesitation you lunged at the figure’s neck, wedging the screwdriver as far into the skin as possible. An earth shattering howl flowed through your body and you felt pressure on your own neck. Your feet were no longer on the floor. Eddie looked on in horror as the man who had kidnapped you now had your delicate figure in his grasp, and he could snap you like a twig. You choked and cried for air, but the man who had you let out a low chuckle. He threw you back to the ground and your world crumbled. Everything around you turned black and white, your vision rapidly darkening. You couldn’t look up at the man that would be your demise, but you heard a thump. Your heart dropped at what you assumed was Eddie hitting the ground as well. To your surprise, you felt Eddie’s calloused hands around yours, pulling you up to your shaky feet. You blinked rapidly to clear your vision. You saw Eddie desperately trying to get you to look at him. You could barely hear, but could tell he was yelling at you to run. You had little time to look at the man who almost killed you before Eddie pushed you out of the small shack.
The two of you were met with a rundown farmhouse, adorned with fields of wheat and overgrown weeds. The house looked like it could be at least 200 years old and nearly abandoned. Eddie looked as far as he could past the house and saw the gravel driveway. He cupped your head to get you to focus on him. You were breathing heavily, desperate to find any clues to where you were.
“Listen, babe. You see that gravel road over there?” he guided your head with one hand to look to where he pointed with the other. “That looks like a way to a highway or something. We gotta run okay? No matter what happens you run as fast as you can and I will be right behind you.”
“Eddie… I don’t like this. Something bad is going to happen.” you whined.
“I know baby, but something bad is going to happen if we stay here and that guy wakes up. This is the only choice we have, okay? And I promise you when we get out of this, we’re going to do everything together. We’re gonna live happily ever after and get married and have kids eventually okay? You’re it for me babe. I gotta get you out of here.” Tears streamed down both yours and Eddie’s faces. You were terrified to let go of him, you needed him to stay close to you, and tell you what to do.
“Eddie, I can’t do this without you.” You cried.
“Yes you can, darling. You are so strong and brave and you’re going to get out of this. We’re going to get out of this.” He grabbed you and kissed you like your life depended on it, a direct contradiction to the words he said to you. He kissed you like he was never going to see you again. You felt like you couldn’t breathe, couldn’t move. You kissed him back, overcome with the need to show him how much you loved him. You kissed him for your past and present, but kissed him for your future as well, a confirmation that you wanted to share his hope with him.
Your moment of respite was cut short when you heard rattling and shuffling from the shed behind you. You nodded at Eddie as he pushed you to begin running. You heard his footsteps behind you as you ran through the field towards the side of the farmhouse. You were too afraid to look behind you, scared to see a third person running after you, or worse, to hear the pair of shoes running behind you stop. You let tears flow as you hysterically ran your path to freedom.
You froze in terror as you heard a crack and Eddie’s yelp. You looked back to see the man’s foot stuck in a bear trap and a looming figure bumbling towards him.
“RUN”. Eddie howled. A horrid sob wracked your body as you watched the man that you had stabbed raise the machete he had in his hand to the sky. He paused, and his eyes met with yours. He lowered his weapon and began trudging towards your trembling figure. Eddie screamed out, his voice sounded animalistic: full of panic and pain. He would do anything for the man to come back and take him so you could leave. But it was obvious that he wasn’t what this crazed man wanted. He wanted you. Eddie began to desperately pry at the bear trap enveloping his left leg.
You barrelled around the side of the house towards the front driveway. Instead of turning slightly to the left to the gravel road Eddie pointed out to you, you turned yourself to the right, spotting a ditch and a drainpipe. You threw your aching body down the ditch and wriggled yourself into the drainpipe, granting you a perfect view of the front door of the farmhouse. Heavy feet were not too far behind you. When you secured your hiding spot, you could hear his exasperated pants. You covered your mouth, desperate not to make a sound, as the man in the mechanic’s jumpsuit searched the front lawn for you. You held your breath tightly as he paced closely to your hiding spot. Luckily, he never thought to look through the small pipe. He turned to the farmhouse in frustration and kicked through the front door, in hopes of finding you in his house. You waited for what seemed like hours before pulling yourself up from the ditch, needing to be sure that your captor wasn’t going to just turn around and come back outside. Your eyes searched the side of the house for your boyfriend. You were afraid that the worst had happened. You knew the least you could do for him is get help and bring this psycho to justice. You turned on your wobbly legs and ran down the gravel faster than your legs had ever taken you. The desperation burned in your lungs as the thought of safety - of freedom pulsed through your body. You cried a sigh of relief as you made it to a highway. There were neat fields of wheat and canola wardened off by a small twine fence across the road from you. You knew that if push came to shove, you could hop that line, lose yourself in the wheat and hopefully stumble across someone’s old farmhouse. You scanned the highway on both sides. No one coming for what looked like miles. Your heartbeat began to pick up again. What if no one came? What if the man came out here and saw you trying to flag someone down? You ducked behind some small shrubs down the road a few feet. You had a decent reconnaissance view but also had some cover if someone came after you.
The blaring sun beat down on you, you poured sweat and tears as you squatted in the bush. The heat made time move even slower, each second feeling like hours. You don’t know how long you sat in the bush thinking about your boyfriend, where the hell you might be, or what is even going on; but you were snapped from your wallows by a small kickback of an old truck climbing the hilled highway just to the south. Its sound got closer as the moments passed: this was your chance at life. You darted into the middle of the road with desperate cries. You saw a rusted orange pickup heading straight towards you. You flailed your arms and screamed as loud as you could, not caring about who might hear you - your rescuers were here.
Eddie had managed to crawl his way to the side of the house, able to tuck his withered body into a hole in the siding. He was ready to give up with each pass he could hear of large boots passing by him. Maybe this time he would just crawl out and let this mad man have him. He could barely live with the fact that he had no idea if you were alive or dead. He had heard nothing but silence once your screams took the assailant away from him. He saw your figure run the opposite way from what he thought was your key to escape. His heart dropped when he lost sight of you and your screams have been ringing in his ear ever since.
Suddenly, Eddie heard your screams once more. His eyes flicked open in fear until he heard you yell again. Your voice was different. Tired and scared, no doubt, but there was hope. Eddie then could finally make out that you were crying for help. He scrambled to his feet the best he could and peered around. Eddie’s stomach dropped as he attempted to put weight on his gouged leg. He grunted as he felt fire flow up his leg, but he knew this was his only chance. He limped as fast he could towards the gravel, pools of blood trailing behind him. He felt like he was going to pass out, but the adrenaline of seeing your face again. His vision was pinholing when he made it to the end of the gravel road. He had lost so much blood but he could faintly hear a rumble of a motor.
You had pleaded with the skeptical old man sitting in the front seat of his dodge.
“Please help me, please. The man that lives at that farm was trying to kill me and my boyfriend. I need to get out of here.” Your voice cracked. “All I need is to get out of here and a phone. I promise you.” You wailed at the man. He looked over the gash on your forehead, the bruises on your neck and the blood staining your clothes.
“All right, kid. But you gotta sit in the back” The man pointed. You cried with relief as you rounded the truck and got into the bed. It was filled with a tarp of loose hay. You flopped down on the hay and knocked lightly on the cab window. The engine awoke from its idle and began to trek down the highway again. As you slowly passed the gravel road you had come from, you spotted two familiar figures. One that made your heart soar, the next making your skin crawl. You banged frantically on the cab window again, pleading for the truck to slow down. Your driver must have seen what you did: a bloodied Eddie Munson limping to the end of the driveway, and the large looming figure that had captured you, hot on his trail.
“Eddie! You need to run! Come on babe!” You screeched. You were not going to sit and watch him die in the middle of the road. Your encouragement spurred Eddie on as he tried to pick up the pace. You lunged at the end of the truck bed and let go of the latch holding up the small door for Eddie. The boy made the mistake of looking behind him, dread consuming his face.
“Don’t look behind you, Ed. Get in the damn truck!” You held your hand out as Eddie gained on the truck and your captor gained on him. Just as you heard the machete whiff through the air, you felt Eddie’s tight grasp onto your hand. You pulled as hard as you could and you shut your eyes until you felt the weight of Eddie’s body on yours. You rolled him to the side and shut the truck bed door, just as your rescuer floored his gas pedal. The once looming, menacing frame of the man who had taken you became smaller and smaller. You and Eddie clung to each other, kissing one another in appreciation. You brushed Eddie’s bloodstained hair out of his face as he held onto you tightly. You rode back to salvation in silence, the only noises you could hear was the wind in your ears and the rogue sniffles that escaped both of your noses.
mid-west monster #1
werewolf!eddie munson x reader
you’ve been with eddie munson for a few months now, and while you knew the boy harbored some secrets — you weren’t aware just how hairy things were about to get
tw: cursing, body horror(? i think?)
a/n: for writeober i’ll be attempting to do (hopefully) daily drabbles, each one a progression of this fic and based around a generated prompt! feel free to send any in as well if you’d like to inspire future installments! happy halloween! LMAO anyway.... i abandoned this wip in early oct. when i realized i should maybe focus on my big move instead of writing, kept getting sad looking at it sitting in my drafts so i decided to slap on a quick sort-of-ending and just post it cause... i love werewolf!eddie so fucking much y'all ;; he'd be the scruffiest stankiest doggo bf and i'm HERE FOR IT. not sure if this'll be continued as past me suggested but if it gets some traction i'd look into progressing the story! hope you enjoy!
Your knuckles are a ghostly white, latched to the steering wheel where your thumb rubs hard into the frayed edge of the wheel cover, anxious and tense. Eddie had been radio silent for the third day now, Hellfire had gathered in the hopes that maybe he’d make some dramatic entrance after working on the materials for this session — but no Dungeon Master had shown his mischievous grin. You’d called and called, stopped by but Wayne had solemnly sent you off each time, assuring you his boy was fine — just going through a rough illness. Maybe it was selfish to think but it made you angry, if he was sick he could still pick up a phone, right? It was the honeymoon stage yet, you’d only started dating a few months back and you could admit you had a tendency to cling to him, but to be fair he seemed to be clinging to you, too. Till now, at least. Had something changed so suddenly?
You let out a heavy breath you just now realize you’d been holding and scold yourself. ‘Your thoughts aren’t always true. Wayne said he was sick so he’s sick. I can at least bring him a treat.’ Looking over at the tote bag of tupperware’d food you encourage yourself to smile and hold it as you pull into the Munson’s drive.
Wayne wasn’t home, but Eddie’s van was here, and so you collect your things and exit your car, hopping up the steps and rapping the door.
No answer.
“Eddie?”
A neighbor’s dog starts barking a few doors down. You could swear you hear something from inside, rustling and a door slamming shut.
“Eds? You in there? It’s me! I brought you some stuff.”
Nothing.
“W-Wayne said you were super sick, so…” you trail off softly, lowering your arms and heaving a sigh.
“Eddie? I know you’re home I— … I’m worried about you, I just—“ you groan softly and just set everything down on the steps, worried the more you call to him the more annoyed he’s getting.
“I’ll just… I’m setting your stuff down out here for you, okay? Don’t forget about it.” A few more moments leaned against the door, waiting for anything, but nothing comes and you can’t help a slight pang, heading back down the steps.
“…Feel better, Eds.” Glancing back you cant even look inside, the curtains all shut tight. ‘He must really be sick.’
You head home but for the rest of the night your thoughts and worries start to take over a little, unable to sit still as you pace your room and question every last interaction you’d had with him, wonder about every possible illness you knew the name of. If he’d just call, pick up when you rang, just say one word to let you know you didn’t need to worry so much.
As you’re in the middle of that thought the phone does indeed ring, and you nearly trip over yourself to get to it, ripping the receiver from the cradle and holding it tight against your ear.
“Hello??”
“…”
“… Hello? Someone there?”
“Y/N?” His voice is low, weak, obscured slightly but it’s Eddie. Oh, your heart nearly beats from your chest.
“Eddie?? Babe what the f— I’ve been so worried! Are you okay?”
“… … I- … I’m- I’m fine, promise. I’m fine.” He sounds strained.
“Are you sure? Do you need anything? I-I left you some stuff—“
“Sweetheart I— I can’t… Can’t really talk much, now… Just… Wanted to tell you, I’m okay…” There’s some rustling as though he’s covering the receiver on his end; you swear you hear him whimper.
“Eds?? Eddie please I-“ *click*
You hang onto the phone long enough for the signal to start bleeping at you as if in irritation that you’re still on the line, reminding you to set it back down in its cradle.
The clock tells you it’s close to midnight. Your brain tells you something’s very wrong.
Fifteen minutes later you’re rocking to a sudden halt in your car, once again sat in Eddie’s driveway. Same as before, Wayne isn’t home yet, and Eddie’s van is parked just beside you. The tote bag you’d left still sat on the steps.
You step out, striding up to his door with purpose and this time just trying the knob — locked. Glancing down the length of the trailer, the curtains still seemed to be drawn and there’s no discernible light peeking through, save for Eddie’s bedroom, a soft orange glow from a covered lamp indicating some presence.
Hoping to high heaven that neither Munson would hold trespassing against you, you bend down and lift the mat as you’d seen Eddie do a few times — the hidden spare key glinting at you in the moonlight. Using it on the lock, you turn the knob again and suck in a deep breath as you push the door open into an eerily silent, pitch-black living room.
“…Eddie?” Your voice is soft and hitched, trembling a little, too quiet to get anyone’s attention. Why were you kind of freaking out right now? There’s a rustle down the hall, a gruff, muffled noise and you gasp, jumping in your step. Looking down the hallway, it’s that same lightless black, until your eyes reach Eddie’s bedroom door — that orange light bleeding through the space between the door and the floor.
“E-Eddie?” You find yourself taking slow steps towards his room, eyes locked onto that strip of light. When a shadow runs across it you feel a cold sweat break over you. “Eds, seriously, seriously I’m kind of freaked out right n—“
There’s no time to react as the door slams open and crashes into the wall, a large, shivering figure in the doorway wearing Eddie’s Hellfire t-shirt, but it’s ripped and stained. You can’t make it out exactly, but the light from behind it illuminates its shape — and it’s much bigger than Eddie. Rugged; shoulders heaving. But its breathing is… unnatural. Almost like there’s a growl laced in it. You stumble backwards and to the floor from the initial shock of the door flying open, hastily lifting yourself onto your elbows, and when you behold this figure you gasp a sharp, shuddering breath, trying to croak out a scream but it catches and you find you can only stutter and whimper, struggling to scurry backwards but your movements are shaky and your limbs feel frozen.
It heaves a growl, snarls but it’s eerily soft, and takes a heavy step forward, vibrating through you. Your mind screams at you to move but you’re still just scrambling, arms heavy, trying to inch yourself away as you emit low whimpers, eyes wide and unable to leave the beast before you. Its eyes glow an unnatural yellow and it’s how you know it’s staring right back into yours. You can make it out a little better now, but your mind struggles to comprehend exactly what you’re looking at.
The creature is at least seven feet tall, almost entirely covered in dark, wavy fur. Its limbs don’t fit, however, they’re too human as its fingers reach up to pull at a mane of wild, shaggy hair, and that’s when you really notice the ears. They’re tall, pointed, set back like a dog ready to lunge. Its muzzle just the same, canine and lined with sharp teeth as it snarls. Eddie’s Hellfire tee… why was it wearing that??
“E-E— Ed—die…“ The tears fall freely and you cry. ‘So this is how I’m gonna die,’ you think. ‘This monster must have eaten Eddie and now it’s gonna eat me too.’
At the sound of your voice, however, something changes quickly. The beast spasms as if struck, crouching and curling into itself as it whines. As you watch in horror, you witness the final stage of this creature's transformation. The same dark fur breaks out over rippling arm and leg muscles, as the creature whines again and groans; you gasp, watching fingers lengthen and sharpen into claws. Arms and legs swell with muscle beneath the sheath of fur, and a howl of pain twins with a sob that wracks you. Terror and fear and also... sympathy. How do you know this creature?? Why are you suddenly so sad that it's hurting.
The beast's head snaps up, yellow eyes aglow, and it... calms. It sighs, almost, relieved the worst of it is over and now its attention is locked onto you. But the menace is gone -- if anything, this creature seems worried. Upset. Sad that it's frightened you.
You're still trembling, however, still weeping silently on the floor as you just lock eyes with this hulking being in front of you. The Hellfire tee... You keep scanning, gaze wandering over the wavy fur, and something dangling from this beast's neck makes your heart drop. The shirt should have given it away, but how could you think straight when a literal werewolf was snarling and staring you down. But now, Eddie's pick hanging from it's thick, furry neck...
You take in a shuddering breath, shaking your head in disbelief. The wolf begins to whine, lowering its head, ears lowered and pulled back again but now like a dog ashamed of what it's done. You cant help a bark of a laugh, the tears continuing to spill.
"EDDIE??! WHAT THE HELL!!"
Your werewolf boyfriend barks. You swear you see his tail wag.
Really just wanted to draw a Camp Counsellor, Steddie. But being a bit of a horror fan I turned toward the awesome 80s videos of the day for inspiration. Where both of them think a warm summer and babysitting kids is going to be a breeze. Little do they know that they become the Final boys as something stalks the camp 😢 Is it really killing the kids? Or are the boys just stuck in their own nightmare the Camp created for them? DunDunDun!!!! 😨😈
I love the idea of our Hawkins teens going to a showing of a Rocky Horror so much so please join me in this:
Eddie's driving. He's excited, loves that he gets to 'pop their cherry.' He pulls up to Harrington house expecting to see Steve and Robin posted up outside in full Brad and Janet regalia.
Eddie of course is dressed as Eddie and of course he thought about Frank but that might be too much. Steve is cool but is he cool? Eddie hopes but he's not an idiot.
Instead of proper Midwestern church clothes he finds Robin standing out front in a raggedy black suit, her hair greased down while Vicki (and yes Eddie had had his suspicions) is next to her dressed as a maid with her own bright red hair teased out to heaven.
"Riff Raff? Magenta? I didn't expect to see you two here."
Vicki laughs but Robin gives him a look that makes a shiver run up his back.
"So where's Steve? Decided to stay home?"
The last syllable barely leaves his lips when the door opens and - - -
LEGS. Fishnet stocking LEGS. Tap pants and a bustier and a shining tail coat and a top hat and a blinding grin and LEGS.
"Columbia?"
Steve laughs and dances down the steps and he's wearing tap shoes too? Eddie may not survive this.
Robin laughs at him but Vicki pats his shoulder in commiseration.
The drive to Indy is filled with jokes and conversation and music and Eddie is paying attention to the conversation. And he is paying attention to the road. But
LEGS
They get to the theater and get their props and their seats. A few songs in Steve begs off to go to the bathroom. Does Eddie watch him go? Of course. Can he actually see him very well in the darkened theater? No. But it's the principle of the thing.
Then the music starts up for the Time Warp and Eddie is on his feet along with everyone else in the theater. There are performers on stage dancing along with the movie, a long line of tuxedo clad strangers when suddenly a figure goes flying across the stage and Eddie can hear Robin and Vicki whooping but he is frozen.
It's Steve. Tapping. It's a perfect recreation of Columbia's dance routine and when the other boy finally comes to a stop, gasping, on a chair at the corner of the stage Eddie finds his voice screaming louder than he has at any concert he's ever been to.
A few minutes later Steve makes his way back to his seat and Robin lunges past Eddie to throw herself at him. Eddie can make out that she's talking but not what she's saying.
They make it through the rest of the show and it's amazing. Eddie's second favorite moment may be when Steve and Robin wrapped their arms around him during "Eddie" wailing out fake sobs.
They sing and shout themselves hoarse. The ride home is quiet but in the best possible way. Robin and Vicki are as good as sleeping in the back of the van and Steve is leaning against the window, humming along with the radio.
"Hey," Eddie says softly. "Where did you learn to dance like that?"
Steve smiles but it's barely a shadow of his usual smile and it fades fast. "When I was little my mom still gave half a shit about being seen as a good mother so she put me in dance classes. It didn't last too long. My dad didn't like it and after a while it became more important for her to be seen as a good wife so I was taken out and put into every sport."
Eddie doesn't say anything. Can't say anything.
"I really liked it though? I can't play music and I'm not much of a singer but I really like dancing. Robin had to put up with me practicing this almost constantly for the past few weeks. I thought she was gonna kill me."
"So you learned this for tonight?"
Steve turned to face Eddie and smiles. "I learned it for you, man. Thought you would get a kick out of it."
The small ember of Eddie's crush on Steve had initially been lit years ago in high school. He had banked it carefully, couldn't bear to let it go cold but too worried about losing Steve as a friend to let it flare bright.
"You learned it for me?" Eddie's stomach feels warm
"Yeah," Steve says, smiling. "Every Eddie needs a Columbia, right?"
Steve is laughing at him and that only makes Eddie feel warmer. Steve. His crush, Steve. Steve did this for him.
"Yeah," Eddie says. "Yeah, he does."
"Thought so," Steve says, turning back to the window.
Eddie drives them back to Hawkins in a silence full of potential.
“Rough night?”
Steve jumps for the second time in far too short of a timeframe. He gasps in surprise and clutches at his chest. He didn’t hear any guests enter.
“Fu– I mean, you startled me.” Steve manages to sputter. Cursing in front of guests is definitely not appreciated.
Steve takes a deep breath before looking up, and when he does he is face to face with a guy roughly his age.
Except this guy is nothing like Steve at all. All long hair, leather, and tattoos. His eyes do not leave Steve as he puts down a guitar case. It is littered with stickers, but one stands out in particular: ‘Corroded Coffin’.
Steve makes a mental note.
“Welcome to the Indianapolis Sweetwater Hotel. How can I assist you tonight?” The words are familiar on Steve’s tongue — he has said this exact line a hundred times before.
“Edward Munson, I booked for three nights.” The guy leans on his arm against the desk, leans close while he watches Steve’s hands move with a smile playing on his lips.
Steve opens the register. His hands feel clumsy under Munson’s close watch as he flips to the current date.
“Mr. Munson, I have you right here. One moment.”
Steve turns around to gather the key and he feels the guy’s eyes burn into his back. It makes the hairs on the back of his neck stand up, almost like static.
“There you go,” Steve says as he puts the key on the desk and gently pushes it in Munson’s direction. Before he can pull his hand away, however, Munson grabs him by the wrist. It’s so forceful it pulls Steve forward and they now are face to face — so close he can feel Munson’s breath on his lips.
Munson looks at him, eyes so dark they are nearly black, so intense it’s like they're cutting straight through him. Munson’s eyes dart downward to Steve’s lips, then to his chest — his name tag — lingering there for a second.
“Steve,” he says, dragging his name like he’s tasting it.
And then he looks up again, holds Steve’s gaze for another second before letting go of his wrist. He grabs the key off the desk, throws it, and catches it overhand with a practiced ease.
“You workin’ tomorrow?” Munson asks, studying him like a predator.
Steve is still a little dazed by what just happened. Assaulted, he thinks, but his boss would probably not take it seriously. “Eh, yeah, I am.”
“Good.” Munson smiles at him, toothy. Dangerous. Steve feels like a piece of meat under his gaze. “Enjoy the night.”
With a careless wave, Munson leaves for the elevators and Steve realizes he forwent a lot of his duties just now. It doesn’t matter, apparently, because Munson seems to know his way around. Perhaps he is a regular — or maybe all hotels are quite the same.
Steve’s wrist is red where Munson held it and there are two indentations where he dug his nails into Steve’s flesh. He rubs at it, looking back at his crossword puzzle.
'9. Creature of the night.'
Vampire, Steve writes down.
Indie horror filmmaker Eddie Munson, high off his first big (underground but notable) success, knows the movers and shakers of the film world have their eyes on him.
They're just waiting to see if he was a one hit wonder before they open all the doors he's been trying to kick down.
His next upcoming film is his chance, his shot at finally making it. Of being like Rob Zombie and the other creators he looks up to that masterfully blended metal and horror.
This is his golden ticket.
The project starts off smooth. His last success has greased the wheels, and things fall into place faster than ever before.
He's got the best idea for this insane haunted house story, a true "mazes in mazes" type of deal with a queer twist. A real look at how a place can haunt a person just as easily as a ghost can.
 Everything's going swimmingly--until one of his leads drops out the day they're due to start shooting.
No call no show's, and later, Eddie will find out the guy got a last second call back to be a contestant on one of those Love Island bullshit romance gigs (and laugh his ass off when the main love interest takes one look at Billy Hargrove and goes on a five minute rant about ugly mullets on national television) but right now?
He's fucked.
He's called in every favor he has for this film. Maxed out every credit card he owns, tapped every contact, got on his hands and knees and begged his rising star journalist best bud to help him market it. (Which Nancy agreed too, for way less cash than she should have.)
 Eddie can't get anyone on the phone, much less find a replacement actor and the amazing place they rented, that is so dark and wonderfully eerie, is booked out the rest of the year as an AirBnB.
If he doesn't film now, he loses it all.
Cue the other lead, unknown theater actor Steve Harrington, watching his hair pulling, tire kicking, 'cursing and hopping while holding a toe' mental breakdown and asks why Eddie himself doesn't act in it.
"Just go full Kevin Smith man. Act and direct." He says, with an easy grin.
Jeff, Eddie's tried and true videographer, trades glances with Gareth and Grant (Eddie's long used special effects and makeup team, who double for about twelve other jobs because they're also his best friends and they're all in this together, make or break.)
"We don't really have a lot of other options." Gareth hedges. "You're already using me and Grant as background characters."
Eddie, hands fluttering around his face as though trying to wave away this entire situation, squeezes his eyes shut and lets out a pained hiss.
"Fine, fine!" He announces with the air of a man running towards a fire. "Fuck it, this is our one shot and so help me I will be shooting it!"
Steve politely hides a laugh with a cough.
"Chuckle all you want big boy, I'm going to tragically romance you so hard people will forget both of our characters actually live." Eddie snarls.
Steve, the handsome bastard, just winks.  "Looking forward to it."
Eddie blushes, but hides it with a surge of frantic energy, conveyed by lots of yelling and moving and getting the ball rolling.
Two days later, Steve would give the performance of a lifetime down on his knees, covered in a literal pound of fake gore, booty shorts and nothing else as he sobbed about how a lover could become a home. His hands clawed at Eddie's jeans before resting a tear stained face on a slim leg as he bent his body towards Eddie like it hurt to be away from him.
Eddie would later receive equal praise in his own acting during the scene, with the world and every reporter in it asking how he conveyed an otherworldly panic so beautifully throughout Steve's performance. What was he thinking, to evoke those expressions on his face?
The way his own pale hand, unmarred by blood and acting as a metaphor for the plot, would come to stroke Steve's cheeks.
Eventually he'd come up with a smooth polished answer that cheekily pleased his audience, but nothing would ever come close to the truth.
("Eddie I've known you since grade school." Jeff said that night, a scant few hours after they'd wrapped. "You can act man, but not like that."
Eddie made a wild "shut up" gesture, looking frantically over his shoulder before admitting; "You saw how close his face was to the prince of darkness!? I was seconds away from popping a boner next to his lips, in front of the 4K camera!”
Eddie bounced into Jeff’s face so he could hiss: “He fucking had his chin on my thigh, Jeff, and I am only a man. A mere mortal!"
"So we're gonna unpack all of that later." Jeff said finally, when he'd managed to get his mouth working and Eddie back out of his personal space. "But dude, we've talked about you calling your dick the prince of darkness."
Eddie flipped him off.)
One year later and critics named Corroded the best horror film of the year, praising the camera work, practical effects, and how there wasn't a soul alive who was surprised to hear Eddie and Steve were dating after their explosive on screen chemistry.
No one ever quite understood the prince of darkness jokes or why Steve mentioning it made Eddie blush, but that was a secret to find out later.
Today on WIP’s I have no intention of writing, indie horror movie AU!
The problem is that a part of Steve knows the spider isn’t real.
But it’s the suggestion of it, right? Cobwebs in his hair, movement just out the corner of his eye; it’s all enough to convince him that there’s something crawling on his skin, to let out a panicked whisper to Nancy, there was a spider. It’s a black widow.
He tries to disregard it as a one-off. It’s an old creepy house. Just got him spooked for a bit, that’s all.
But then… diving into Lover’s Lake. Bats biting into his flesh. Overwhelming dizziness.
Nancy wrapping torn strips of clothing tight around—there’s something crawling, crawling underneath his skin, no, there isn’t, no, there—a bike ride through The Upside Down; one hacking cough, pushing through it, pushing through it—
Swallows it all down. Ignores the sweat, the tackiness around his bandage. Shh. Calm, calm.
Drives the RV. Doesn’t know how he’s even moving, is just grateful—grateful that his mind on autopilot seems to still function.
The War Zone. In and out. Parked. Sun in his eyes. Kids outside.
The feeling comes back. Something. Something under his skin. (In his blood, in all of him—)
“S’there something in my hair?” he asks Eddie, who’s mid-step out of the RV.
Eddie turns back with an air of amusement. “Nope,” he says. “Looks perfectly coiffed to me, man.”
“Can you—can you just check?”
Look closer, something’s wrong, something’s wrong.
“Uh, sure,” Eddie says, bemused. He sits next to Steve and tilts his head before lifting a hand uncertainly. “You want me to, uh?”
“Yeah, thanks. Just… there was a spider on me.”
It’s not what Steve wants to say at all, but there’s a sudden, terrifying disconnect between the thoughts in his head and what actually comes out of his mouth.
“Oh, you don’t like them, huh?”
Eddie’s not even teasing, just sounds understanding; he lifts up a few sections of hair carefully, taking his time. He’s so kind. Steve abruptly wants to cry.
“Yeah, I don’t blame you,” Eddie continues. “I have the same thing with mice. The way they move. Creepy little feet.” He shudders dramatically.
Steve wants to laugh at that. Can’t.
Eddie runs his fingers through Steve’s hair a couple more times, gentle.
You don’t have to, Steve thinks. Make it hurt. Get it out. Did you find it? Please say you found it.
“Good news, you’re officially spider-free, Harrington.”
Eddie claps him on the shoulder, stands up.
Steve doesn’t move.
Eddie pauses again, halfway out the door. “Hey, you okay?”
“Yeah,” Steve says. “Just need some air.”
He goes through the motions of prepping for the fight. Chats with Robin. She talks about a terrible, gnawing feeling, and he wants to scream yes, I know, I know, but he can’t tell her, why can’t he tell her?
Shh. Calm, calm.
Drives the RV. Forest Hills.
He brakes with no warning, sends bottles of alcohol rolling across the floor. He’s mad suddenly that they didn’t smash. He’s so—
Slip away.
Eddie’s trailer. Lets himself in.
Bathroom.
The wound on his stomach pulses. He doubles over the toilet. Throws up.
His skin is crawling.
There, in the back of his mind, a creeping coldness. A thought that is not his own.
I will kill them all. And I will make you watch.
Oh, God. Oh, God, he’s been so stupid.
-
Eddie finds him first.
He picks up one fallen bottle of alcohol before a gut feeling pulls him out of the RV—because Steve Harrington is a good driver, and he’d only brake like that if he had no choice.
“Steve?”
But Steve’s not waiting for them on the porch, he’s not even by the Gate.
Clattering; a strangled cry.
Eddie’s stomach lurches.
He runs towards the noise, opens the bathroom door and is instantly hit by the acrid smell of vomit.
“Steve! Jesus Christ.”
Steve’s pushed up against the cistern. There’s a damp patch all across his stomach, and his chest is heaving.
“Oh my God, Steve, what’s—”
Eddie reaches for him instinctively, and Steve flinches as if he’s been struck.
“No, don’t!”
“Jesus, you’re burning up,” Eddie whispers, drawing his hand back; Steve’s skin is feverishly hot, slick with sweat. He looks around frantically for a cloth, turns on the cold water. “Gotta get you cooled—”
Something slams into him; he’s pinned against the sink, Steve’s hand clamped around his throat.
“No,” Steve repeats. “Don’t.”
“Okay,” Eddie manages. He chokes on a swallow. “S-Steve, you’re—you’re—”
His hand flails, trying to pry Steve’s fingers off.
Steve’s grip loosens ever so slightly. His eyes are wide, bloodshot. Pleading.
“Eddie,” he says through gritted teeth. “You need to hurt me.”
With the last of his strength, Eddie gets his knee up and jabs—it’s barely anything, but it works enough to break Steve’s hold.
Eddie staggers; his back slams against the door. He’s shaking.
Steve stares at him. He’s gripping onto the sink so tightly that Eddie thinks it’s a miracle that it doesn’t crack.
And then there’s a horrible, guttural noise like Steve’s started to choke too, like he’s at war with himself.
Barely audible, he says, “Get… get Nancy.”
Eddie runs.
He nearly falls into Nancy as he opens the front door. He’s breathless, can’t think of what to say, save from—
“Wheeler, he needs you.”
It happens in an instant: Nancy’s brow pinches, and then she goes very pale, and she’s shouting for Robin and Dustin to stay in the RV, like she can turn on a dime, launched into an unknown crisis.
She pushes past Eddie, and he follows her, back into the bathroom.
The cold water is still running.
Steve’s got his hands in the sink. He looks at Nancy desperately.
“S-stop me.”
Another choking sound is ripped from Steve’s throat; Eddie realises that it’s actually a dry sob.
“Nance,” Steve says. It’s half her name, half a pained whine. “Fuck. I’m sorry. I—I know everything.”
And then he’s suddenly launching towards them—it’s only the fact that he’s so completely freaked out that makes Eddie move in time, saves him from getting strangled again.
He grabs Steve’s wet hands, pins them behind his back and tries to hold him still.
“Jesus! Wheeler, what the fuck is going—”
“Do you have anything that can knock him out?” Nancy says.
“What?”
“Drugs, Eddie!”
“Are you crazy? There’s no way—oh my God, what are you—”
Crack.
Nancy’s grabbed the cistern lid, brought it down upon Steve’s head. Eddie looks at Steve lying eerily still on the floor in abject horror.
There’s blood in his hair.
Eddie feels sick.
But Nancy just watches, as if to confirm that Steve’s not moving. She looks Eddie in the eye.
“Come on. That’s only gonna work for so long.”
Eddie just follows her out, too shocked to even attempt speaking.
It’s chaotic at the RV; Dustin sees them coming, leaps out of the door as Robin yells at him.
“Where’s Steve?”
“Get back inside.”
“Nancy, where the hell is he?”
“We can talk inside.”
“Bullshit, I’m—”
“Dustin, he’s Flayed,” Nancy says, her voice breaking, and all the fight goes out of Dustin at once.
“No, that’s—he can’t—”
Eddie finally finds his voice. “Can someone tell me what the fuck you’re talking about?”
Nancy doesn’t speak, not until they’re in the RV, the door locked behind her.
“I think it’s the—the bites—”
Robin swears, a hand over her mouth.
“Flayed?” Eddie persists.
“The Mind Flayer,” Dustin says numbly. “It’s what we—it’s a part of The Upside Down. It—it used Will to… to spy on…”
“And what, it’s—” Eddie swallows. “It’s inside him?”
“Like a virus. He’s part of the Hive Mind,” Nancy says.
Eddie’s knees feel weak.
“Fuck,” Dustin says. “He knows where we are, he’ll know—”
“It’s too late to change that,” Nancy says. “We just have to—at least someone needs to stay with him.”
“I will,” Robin says instantly, eyes blazing.
“Me too,” Dustin says.
Nancy glances at him, shakes her head—firm but apologetic. “You can join Erica.” And as Dustin opens his mouth, no doubt to argue, she adds, “I’m sorry, Dustin. It’s just—we might need to… to fight him.”
Dustin doesn’t reply, but looks so utterly devastated that Eddie wishes he’d insisted on diving first, that the bats had torn into him instead.
“Keep him warm,” Nancy tells Robin urgently. “And I don’t mean just—it’s got to be unbearable.”
Robin nods, ashen-faced.
Nancy catches Eddie’s eye. “The one thing that fucker can’t stand is heat.”
She paces up and down the RV, checking for stray bottles. Then she comes to a stop right in front of Robin.
“He—he might beg,” she whispers. “And it won’t—it’ll sound like him. Like he just wants the pain to stop.”
Robin’s eyes look glassy. “Nance, I don’t—don’t know if I can—”
“I’ll do it,” Eddie says.
He feels everyone’s eyes on him, but he just looks at Nancy, at the determined set to her jaw.
He doesn’t know when he made the decision, if he can even pinpoint a conscious moment of thought—but now that the words are out, he feels the vow he’s made, deep in his chest.
Nancy hands him a bottle and cloth.
A lighter.
She fixes Eddie with a piercing look. “It’s going to look like you’re killing him,” she says.
Eddie nods.
He turns, offers Robin his hand.
“C’mon, Buckley. Let’s get that bastard out of him.”
There is a knock at Steve Harrington’s door.
Three to be exact.
Knock.
Knock.
Knock.
It’s nothing new. This happens every night. It doesn’t make it any less terrifying.
Steve gets out of bed and walks over to his apartment door, hands hovering over the handle. His body shakes, he feels too cold for a July evening.
Steve doesn’t bother looking out of the peephole. He knows there will be nothing to see. He hopes briefly it’s the awkward girl from down the hall, she always wears beat up converse and can hear her raspy laugh two doors down—but he knows it’s not. She often speeds by Steve’s apartment door, like she’s either terrified of him or what’s inside his home.
Knock.
Knock.
Knock.
Three knocks, three times. It’s only number two.
Steve wishes he knew more people here, but he hasn’t been here very long. So no one is looking for him, no one is here to wake him up at 3 am.
His palm sweat—but the chill hasn’t left him. He’s starting to think he’s haunted. Though nothing ever happens inside. Nothing happens at all, except the knocking. Steve never dares to open until it’s finished.
Knock.
Knock.
Knock.
Steve takes a deep breath, and opens the door….
No one is there.
Releasing a stuttering breath, Steve gently locks up and puts his head on then door.
“Fuck.” He whispers.
Then he hears, it from his bedroom.
Knock.
Knock.
Knock.
Steve’s let something inside.
Starving artist Steve Harrington just trying to pick up any job that’ll pay the bills so he can keep making art picking up a bartending gig at some album release event in LA because it pays a flat $500 for 4 hours of his time plus tips
The album ends up being a much-anticipated follow up to an extremely successful debut album for Corroded Coffin, a metal band that somehow made a huge dent across multiple genres with their Spotify Lounge cover session
The lead guitarist and singer, Eddie Munson, is known for being a charmer, but Steve doesn’t fall for it and that just makes Eddie work harder to impress him
Cut to Steve leaving well after the party wraps up, nearly $1000 richer (thank you drunk rich people who forgot they’d already tipped him $20) and running right into Eddie smoking behind the venue
He’s not supposed to smoke, messes with his voice, so he offers Steve his last cigarette and asks him how the night went. Steve’s honest and says he got enough money to pay off his rent for the month and have some leftover for groceries so he’s pretty happy
Eddie asks if bartending is what he always does and Steve unloads on him about his art, how he always knew it would lead to living thin, but that he didn’t mind if it meant he still got to create things that let people see the world differently
Eddie won’t admit it for at least four more months, but he fell in love with Steve that night, listening to the way he described his process and watching as his eyes lit up as he told him about a new thing he wanted to try with oils and clay pinch pots as soon as he had the money for studio time and materials
Eddie won’t admit it for another six months, but he “forgot” the nearly $5000 in cash in the jacket he let Steve borrow in hopes that his bills would be taken care of long enough for him to get whatever studio time he wanted
And Steve wouldn’t admit it for almost a year, but he knew all along that Eddie’s charm worked on him from the first time he ordered a fruity drink at the bar and called him Stevie
Fuck it. Every Steve Harrington headcannon I have because I've been rotating that boy in my head like a pig on a stick
- Has had glasses since he was young but mostly wore contacts throughout high school due to being bullied in middle school for looking like a nerd
- Plays the piano or the violin, your pick
- In addition to the piano, he mostly plays jazz cause thats my favorite genre and I think it would be his too
- Has ALWAYS had horrible migraines but have since been a lot more difficult to deal with due to you know all that other shit that's been going on
- Does not know popular culture, I know it's very popular within the fandom that he only listences to what's on the radio or watchs only the recent released movies but that boy could barely name a single movie he does NOT know popular shit (this also goes with my jazz headcannon that he mostly just listenes to jazz in the car or at home)
- Surprisingly amazing at chess, no one in the party has managed to beat him
- Horror fan(books,shows,movies,etc)
- His best subject in school was math and I will die on this hill
- Between him and Eddie, he is the black cat
- Bisexual obviously, but a really do like the headcanon that he kinda knew he liked boys when he was younger and doesn't need Robin or Eddie to tell him(he was the one telling Robin that Vickie could like both just saying)
- Also asexual maybe
- Can cook
- SMOKER!!! He smokes in the first season, and in the third he makes a reference to smoking marijuana, he is NOT new to this
- Has really bad bedhead
- I can see him as having some form of OCD or ADHD
I'm forgetting most so be prepared for a part 2
Part 2
