Ladykiller by Katherine Wood

OMG this was so good. I could not stop reading it. The twists were amazing, the storyline was fresh and unlike anything I had read previously. The story follows Abby, who as a young woman, became friends with a rich girl for whom her mother worked. From then on, they were inseparable. But the story did not end happily - she is attacked by her best friend's stalker. The story switches between present day, Gia's manuscript, and Abby's memories from the time when she was attacked. The story was so well thought out - so interesting and engaging. The characters were so amazingly crafted, the story was so fun, and I honestly could not stop reading this. It was reminiscent of Saltburn, and the Talented Mr. Ripley - and I honestly would rank this right up there with those [though Saltburn is not a book]. I would HIGHLY recommend this for a fun, enticing, engaging, and steamy THRILLING summer read.

only doctor who can go from - high stakes, an evil alien called "beep the meep" is going to destroy the city -ooh some actiony stuff - angst because I have to tell my bestfriend she is going to die - hissy fit about it - woman ready to sacrifice her life for her daughter - genuinely heartbreaking bit where he gives back those repressed memories that will kill her -comedic bit about said woman yelling at her alien bff for subconsciously inspiring her to donate her lottery winnings (whilst London burns) - the euphoria of doctor donna - techno babble - heroism - epic scores - heartbreak as she dies in his arms - him desperately saying "your daughter is safe" so she knows she didn't die in vain - doctor becoming all threatening and slightly suicidal when enemy soldiers come to kill him - they don't die - 2000 year old certified genius is just confused - oh wait your 15 year old daughter just got alien power because she is trans and saved the day

in the span of five minutes and absolutely kill it

hello good morning i read the fic The Long Way Home by itsnatalie this week and finished it at 1am and had to stare through the ceiling processing for another full hour having emotions over tim and jason and a sentient labyrinth and the concept of choosing kindness when it would be so much easier to choose cruelty at every turn and NOW i am stumbling back here to recommend it to everyone who might want a tim & jason (& batfam) psychological horror longfic that will knock your socks off
