Pete/Molly Appreciation Post
Tumblr media
Starsky and Hutch (1976) S02 E13 Little Lost Girl
I’m about to talk about my favorite unintentional Trans Character;
As a trans man when I watched this episode I was reminded so heavily of how I was as a kid.
That being said; I also watched Starsky and Hutch act like how I wish my parents had acted when I came out to them.
I mean look at the facts;
When they saw Pete and Molly on the inside of their baseball glove and asked them about it Pete told them to use Pete (in the snarky way that we love) and then they just did. No if, ands, or buts about it.
Starsky realized Pete didn’t like any of the dress shops and asked them if there was a place they wanted to go instead (asking the child what they want?? Hell yeah!)
And of corse there’s just the completely loving dad energy they emanated the whole episode. We love to see it. We love watching Starsky and Hutch adopt kids.
And now for the main course; what is my trans Headcannon for Pete/Molly?
I think Pete is genderfluid. Or whatever the equivalent in the 70s would be.
I think Pete goes by both Pete and Molly. Why? Partly because it’s fun to think about and partly because they’re very comfortable when people use either name even if they mostly prefer to present more masculine.
I also think that at the beginning of the episode Starsky (god tier trans ally we stan) totally called it and when Pete/Molly eventually tells her gay dads Hutch is gonna be surprised and Starsky is gonna be like “totally called that one”
I don’t usually have trans headcannons, (not dissing people who like trans headcannons, it’s so valid and I get it. Everyone is bi to me until proven not.)
My only Trans Headcannons are Pete/Molly and Danny Phantom and I’ll stand with the fact they’re both better trans rep then most trans characters. (Also the main robot in Robots but I mean is he even non-cannon trans? I mean…guys…he went through puberty ages with “hand-me-down’s” aka robot tities…that kinda trans if you ask me)

I'm an advertising man, not a red herring. I've got a job, a secretary, a mother, two ex-wives and several bartenders that depend upon me, and I don't intend to disappoint them all by getting myself "slightly" killed.

Cothelstone Tower, Somerset
Cothelstone was an ancient seat of the Stawel family. In the second half of the 18th century it was the property of Mary Stawel (1726-1780), the sole surviving direct descendant. In recognition of her ancient lineage, George III made her a baroness in her own right in 1760, with the title to pass to her sons from her first marriage to Henry Bilson Legge, Earl of Dartmouth. After the death of her…

The Lord of the Rings-The Rings of Power Review
The Lord of the Rings was a book by J.R.R. Tolkien adapted into three films in the early 2000s by Peter Jackson, The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, and The Return of the King. These three films garnered critical acclaim, winning many Academy Awards, and fan success making quite a bit of money in the theaters. It makes sense that somebody would want to buy the rights to this successful IP…

Hello and welcome to my 2023 reading wrap up! A big Thank You to everyone who followed my ramblings throughout the year! <3 I will continue through 2024. Maybe I'll learn how to write proper reviews, at least I'll try to remember better what I actually want to say about the stories. In 2022, I read 93 books plus my own. Guess how many it were in 2023? 93 plus my own!! xD That was huge coincidence and I love it. Of these 94 books, 4 are rereads (which won't be included in the "Favourite" sections), 2 are non-fiction, 11 are non-queer. I only DNFed 1 book (which is not pictured) and other than that I only disliked 6 books! (And it's a pretty soft dislike in comparison. I don't hate them nearly enough to want to shit on them again. :'D).
So on the the awards!
Most Read Author: KJ Charles (8 books)
Least Favourite Book: Daresh (Katja Brandis) (the one I could not finish for dear life)
Favourite Character: Brand (The Tarot Sequence) and Will (The Will Darling Adventures) (yes, there's a trend)
Favourite Covers (of books I read, not releases):
Tumblr media
(There were too many. D:)
Highest Emotional Investment (aka The Agony, the suffering, the why you do this to me Award): Dark Heir - The Scottish Boy - In Memoriam
Wildest Story: The Adventures of Pinocchio
Favourite Books:
The Devil's Luck (L.S. Baird)
The Scottish Boy (Alex de Campi)
In Memoriam (Alice Winn)
Just Lizzie (Karen Wilfried)
Dark Heir (C.S. Pacat)
The Will Darling Adventures (KJ Charles)
Gwen & Art are not in Love (Lex Croucher)
The Buried and the Bound (Rochelle Hassan)
More Books I enjoyed greatly:
Oracle of Senders series (Mere Joyce)
Of Feathers and Thorns (Kit Vincent)
Wren Martin Ruins it all (Amanda deWitt)
Simon Snow series (Rainbow Rowell)
The Five Stages of Andrew Brawley (Shaun David Hutchinson)
The Tarot Sequence (K.D. Edwards)
The First and Last Adventure of Kit Sawyer (S.E. Harmon)
Sixteen Souls (Rosie Talbot)
By any Other Name (Erin Cotter)
The High King's Golden Tongue (Megan Derr) and more!!
Most Used Name: I counted names last year and didn't want to do it again this year because I read so much fantasy, so the names were all over. Still, there was one who stood out amongst them all with at least 4 instances, if not more. Probably more.
Will
Congratulations. I have to admit, I've always liked that name. My favourite character of all times and part of my one and only OTP is named Will as well and I kinda hope the last book of their second trilogy never comes because it will probably make me scream and ... ...
Bonus! This year, I counted pages! Because I felt that most books were much shorter than what I read before. So I wanted to know. Turns out, my feeling was wrong. My 93 books had a whole of 33011 pages which results in approximately 350 pages per book. That's pretty normal I dare say.
That's it for 2023! I had a very good year in books. I wanted to read less actually, and failed spectacularly because I had too much fun. And if anyone's wondering how I read so much, I read fast and I just didn't do anything else in my free time. Escapism to the max. I hope, the new year treats you well! I hope, you have fun with the books you read! Let's meet again soon! <3

This is a real SR -71, not a model.
They erected the plane and then built the Cosmosphere around the SR 71. Cosmosphere is a space museum and STEM education center in Hutchinson, Kansas, United States. It was previously known as the Kansas Cosmosphere
Several museums have done an excellent job of displaying our national treasures the SR 71’s. Sadly, though there are A-12’s and SR-71’s still sitting out side. Let’s all support museums that are building the roofs to place over these beautiful Blackbirds. Such as the Flight Test Museum near Edwards Air Force Base, California. This is my favorite charity every dollar counts to preserve our American heritage. flighttestmuseum.org The picture was taken by Max Bringle.

Sofia's POV
During the week it’s all work and no play, but lucky for us the ISCS ministry in charge of organizing the trip gave us weekends off! Yesterday Mr. and Mrs. Hutchinson took a few of us into town to see the sights (Rina and I got a "sisters photo" in the plaza), and this morning we worshipped at a ISCS-built church, First Holy Church of Selvadorada!
Tumblr media
Perry Edwards, one of the boys from San Myshuno, turns 20 tomorrow, and this afternoon us ladies are baking him a cake to celebrate. Rina’s aces at anything involving an oven while I’m the kind of person who could burn water if I was given free rein of the kitchen, so she’s leading the way!
I would never say this out loud, but I’m convinced she has an interest in him. Rina always sits next to Perry in during Bible study, and last week I overheard her asking him for his thoughts on God’s design for men and women. Who knows if it will go anywhere, though. When we were younger, she was incredibly willful, but ever since our parents corrected her spirit she’s been sweet and shy. Let’s hope Perry is the proactive type!
