It's kinda funny looking back on old screenshots and edits I made 3-5 years ago because in a way they have changed a LOT yet at the same time also not all although the fact that my old computer could barely handle having FFXIV installed is kinda evident in hindsight lol
#ive played for 11 years now but its only as of july last year that i actually have a computer i can go nuts on#with editing and good graphics etc which is probably why ive felt such a stark jump in my abilities#like its MUCH easier to edit by hand when your pc doesnt freeze up and making the screen black out anytime you draw a stroke too long LOL#its kinda funny looking back though because i still rely on things i learned way before gpose was added to the game#to the point where i often forget there are new fancy tools i can use to help the process#and thats despite having used the crimetools for way longer than i havent at this point#same with gpose..... god. that shit was added january 2017 i think. so thats 3 years of learning when to pause at the right time#and using walls to angle the camera and to try and time weather and multiple tries in case skill effects looked off etc etc#honestly since i cant do much photography these days whether that be of people or of bjds gpose is like a balm to my soul#anyway im rambling LMFAO just a lot of nostalgia when looking back. ill have to hunt down some REALLY old screens at some point#just to compare with my newer ones!!! kind of insane to think about this as a skill one can improve on#especially now that suddenly its been like a decade almost of consistently doing it and yet i never stopped to truly think about it#as anything other than a thing you just do???? idk. i have a disconnect to myself and art as a concept i guess LMAO#art is what OTHER people do in my brain. *I* just fuck around to try things out for fun#anyway....#silvi talks

I learned how important brush stroke directions are from doing embroidery so I'm hacking the system (my brain) next by embroidering flowers until I can paint them
#looking for things to do while giving my hand a break by giving my hand things to do??? huh?#but forreal its so helpful do to multiple art disciplines!!! sculping too!! maybe the most effective way to learn anatomy or like#shaping stuff in art the whole hard vs soft lines is easier to get when you sculpt bc you can feel it / use different tools more clearly#sculpting has a special place in my heart because i like to feel the things i make with my hands

Good students, on the other hand, constantly raise the bar for themselves
as they focus on what they haven’t learned and mastered yet. This is why high achievers who have had a taste of the vast amount of knowledge out there are likely to suffer from what psychologists call imposter syndrome, the feeling that you are not really up to the job, even though, of all people, they are (Clance and Imes 1978; Brems et al. 1994).

giving men a space in feminism doesnt mean letting them step on your toes. if you feel like your toes are being stepped on, you need to say something and tell that person to stop instead of try to get them fucking exiled essentially.
#i really do truly think peoples inability to socialize and do conflict resolution is a huge part of the problem here. they jump straight to#ostracizing someone from the community bc they're essentially too scared to actually have a conversation and tell that person to stop?#they're gonna say its trauma or w/e but if its a guy you dont know whos not traumatizing you you cant really... claim that.#no. be honest. you dont know how to communicate effectively. so its easier to just have people leave than try to fix anything#the same type of person to reject going to therapy with someone to try to fix things and just kinda jumps to saying 'fuck it'#but the whole point of therapy isnt to make you guys stay together anyways- its to resolve conflicts. you might decide you're better off#w/o eachother but need to at least know the other person whole perspective first before jumping to conclusions#therapy with others also! teaches you how to resolve conflicts and communicate more effectively. so even if things dont work out#now you have tools in your belt later on if you need to work on a different relationship.#im not saying go to therapy w some random dude who might be stepping on your toes in some way but you Do need to learn#how to communicate better so you can at least tell him how you're being negatively effected w/o... trying to advocate for his ejection#and it'd be even more helpful if you have an unbiased emotionally mature friend who understands communication well nearby to help#you guys resolve your conflict... doesnt have to be a therapist specifically lol#tho a therapist or counselor or w/e is usually the best option bc they're the least likely to be biased.#unless you can find an over qualified stranger... which... how would u even know theyre over qualified then... idk sdjhfshj#if it is like a community thing maybe (hopefully. ideally) the organizer can be the unbiased party? idk.

okay I think I need to thank my media arts teacher if I see him when I'm visiting my old high school because all that "I want to do more multimedia stuff with my digital art" is almost entirely because of his class
#I took the same class every year for the last three years of high school#which was just getting sat in front of an imac and learning the basic features of adobe suite every year#started out hating it because adobe is of course a pain#for my final project in my senior year I ended up basically bullshitting some live2d rigging in after effects with the puppet tool#and did a little angel kanata animation with that (that's actually posted on my blog if you wanna look)#I learned a lot about layer hierarchy and how gifs actually fucking work because exporting that was a NIGHTMARE#but I really liked making it#would love to make something similar but I don't have after effects anymore nor live2d#we'll see what I do there

Speaking of "something intimate touched by dirty hands", I'll be real, I kinda do still need someone to "cleanse" image of Mic0lash for me. Ever since the grand fandom rift I've of course fallen onto the better side where fans are trying their best, I just can tell my Mic mutuals are trying their best with the guy. But something so incredibly bad is connected with the character- You guys know how negative experiences with people can ruin a character (and you're in luck if not the whole piece of media)? This character for me is a manifestation that if someone claims to really love and need me, I should keep in mind that it is a lie I should not trust.
I should know by now that when something sounds too good to be true - it IS, but he is like... an "avatar" of that realization. Someone I could just look at at be reminded without the words that yes, I should remember that I'll never be happy or valued like I want to. That my "ability" to see something good even in the darkest people or to listen to the intention of even the most distorted message is reserved for someone else. For something else. I am just not built for things like long friendships, celebrating holidays, exploring the world together, just being loved, just being able to trust, just being cared about, just sharing life with someone. My role in this world is to be a "tutorial enemy". Someone people would have a negative experience with but in exchange, understand who they are and what they really want in life, and let go of their struggles and wishes that tormented them. But I feel like I can only fulfill my purpose in this world for as long as I am ignorant about it. If I stop trusting people and seeking the type of love I need - I won't get attached, so I won't get hurt when people hurt me, so I won't be slain. Because this is what I am in - a videogame enemy that people need to defeat to level up and proceed to their own games. And if I stop respawning - how I can be what I am?
I just should not learn a thing, because people better off after they "murder" me. More cruel and reclused, but better off - more self-sufficient, more confident, more.. secure of how much good they deserve. It would just help them to be more cautious when someone actually toxic appears. Like, someone who is not even self-aware, not struggling and not remorseful. So they won't take chances, to the better.
But I just need to blind myself to the truth, because I've got nothing better to offer to this world than being that "tutorial enemy". People are better after slaying me. I drop Insight points upon being stabbed, and it happened so many times. I guess this character is just cursed with being associated with a truth so horrible that it is better off not realizing it and just be moved like a pawn.
#/vent#personal#i just really need to forget#i'll never know rest and won't be anything but a tool#like i see patterns and i see my role is not a happy one#even when it is not me doing something - i cause collateral effect of the same nature#like... because of the rift that i was the result of my very very very nice and sweet friend had to learn to stand against the bullies#was this a good and useful skill? yes. was it me who attracted the said bullies? YES.#the punchline is that the person that ruined the character for me was probably the only one able to appreciate a place like this in-#-the grand scheme of things#and not just write it down as mad ravings of depressed/traumatized person#i don't believe that the world functions as well and sound as how religious people paint it#if there is truly the purpose to all this then in the end i'll just be discarded like a tool that completed its purpose and now-#-would just otherwise collect the dust#there is no other meaning in my life than to be a step towards someone else's progress and sometimes even happiness#yet i can't just.... trade my life for a different one you know? it's all i can do#i appear in the right time and place and cause chaos past which people are better for one reason or another#most learn how important they are after ditching me. some become kinder if they realize they were cruel to me#but one thing that is certain is that i am just discarded and forgotten to 'respawn' when the need arises again.

Why Collaboration at Work Matters More Than Ever
Imagine a workplace where everyone does their job alone, behind closed doors, without talking to others. There are no brainstorming sessions, no group discussions, and no shared feedback. Everyone is focused only on their own tasks. While this might seem efficient at first, the truth is that such isolation often leads to limited ideas, repeated mistakes, and a lack of growth. Collaboration…
