yknow i'd always had a headcanon that sora was a lot more proficient with magic than riku, but playing Re:CoM really solidified that for me with the difference between their playstyles.

when you play as sora, you have this massive variety of different sleights and spells and summons you can use, which from an in-world perspective, could read as him just... modifying the spells for his own use. I think it would be super funny if he talks to like. Aqua for example and she's like "wait how did you do that. thats not supposed to happen, that's not how magic works-?" but anyway! the point is that Sora's gameplay has a lot of variety and magic woven into it

whereas with riku, not only can he not edit his deck, but almost all of his sleights are locked behind Darkness-Murder Mode™️. So a lot of Riku's gameplay is just "hit things until they die" (also i feel like there's something to be said about the difference between Holy Spiral and Inverse Spiral, which are basically the same attack except HS is when Riku's not in Dark Mode and IS is when he is, something about HS lasting much less time than IS because riku's light magic isn't as powerful perhaps?)

ANYWAYS. i just think it's neat :)

oh shit i told myself i was going to remember it and then completely missed it anyway. but hey its been officially over a year since i changed my name to juice. i suppose i can say for sure now that im used to it, and i really like it and im really glad i changed my name. just a year is not much but it already feels like my old name is ages behind me now, like it was fully another person or another era of my life. i think im happier now, if that even makes sense to say. its weird

Turtle Tail is very dear to me. Which is annoying, because SHE DOES NOT NEED TO BE A TORTIE! All of her kits get a black allele from her. For once, I could do a reverse tortification: make a tortie into a not-tortie. But she is my blorbo! I can't detortify my blorbo! And she has such a delightful name for a tortoiseshell, it would be a waste to give it to a black tabby

So anyway, she's black tortoiseshell blotched tabby bicolor. She is said to be predominantly white, but I don't want to make her homozygous white spotted, because she has two no-white child (well, Pebble Heart has a white locket, but I consider that no-white genetically). Tabby, because that's more turtle-y imo and i can do what i want.

Willowshine. I hadn't put much thought into her, but for some reason i thought she was silver? Apparently just a pale gray tabby. (Also dark gray and grayish-white according to other books lol.) I'd make her a blue mackerel tabby. Maybe with some white.

Battle Network being the only MM series that I didn’t get deeply invested into that I still haven’t played most of the games is so funny despite this year basically being it’s year of relevancy again because I do know facts off handily about it and one of the things that jumpscares me every time I remember it is something that wasn’t even in the games: It’s the fucking fact in the anime they said “let’s make this a Tokusatsu” in like the fourth game arc onward and this will never not throw me off despite being the mf who’s favorite mm series is literally ZX.
