y'know what, violence layer musings since it keeps rotating in my head.

i like the idea that some of the mannequins are potentially those who designed v1.

something about their souls being sentenced to the violence layer for making a machine of war. since they believe themselves powerful enough to play god by building something non-human that runs on blood, they were made into mannequins, their bodies constructed as something to be dismantled and reconstructed as punishment (hence why their limbs are entirely made of forearms).

i have an idea of a cutscene happening in that room with the blue skull when v1 turns to face the mannequin masses, that some of them start wailing and calling out its name; their creation, happy to see it still surviving where they did not.

v1 having a visceral reaction and acknowledgement that the mannequins are its creators, and suddenly launching a volley of bullets and other weaponry without the player input just because it doesn't want to see them again.

the cacophony of cries from the past, silenced in an instance.
