“Dad?” Keina, your youngest daughter yells from the living room.

“Yes?” Ushijima responds, in a normal volume as he was a mere few meters away from her. 

“Oh, I didn't know you were there.”

“I highly doubt that,” he mutters.

“Anyways, why did Bokuto-san call asking if we did our interview yet? What’s he talking about?”

He pauses for a few seconds before cursing under his breath. “They’re interviewing the Olympic teams from the winning years. Something about what it takes to be an athlete, the ups and downs of the commitment, they wanted the families to be interviewed too.”

“Why didn’t I know?” 

“Because I never planned on doing it, I already replied I wasn’t interested.”

“Dad?” Airi, the oldest, says as she’s looking out the window. “There’s a camera crew on our lawn.”

Keina slowly turns back to her father with curious eyes, “Dad, are you sure you replied no?”

“Not so much, no.”

“I’m Y/N.”

“I’m Wakatoshi, we’re the Ushijima’s.”

“Thank you so much for giving this interview,” Sato, the cameraman, says. 

“Yeah, of course,” you say excitedly and turn to your husband waiting for his enthusiasm but getting a deadpan face in return.

“What?”

“Smile.”

“No.”

“Please, the cameras.”

“Why would I care about the camera’s?”

“Guys we’re actually still rolling.”

“I’m talking to my wife,” Ushijima tells him and then returns his attention back to you and you sigh.

“I’m Airi, I’m sixteen.”

“I’m Keina, I’m fifteen.”

“What was it like growing up with an Olympic volleyball player as a dad?”

“Umm…” Keina hums and turns to her sister for an answer. 

“He was never really strict with us about playing volleyball,” Airi says.

“It was always just kind of written in the stars,” Keina chimes in. 

“Right,” Airi agrees, “that being said he taught us how to pass before we learned how to read.”

The cameraman laughs and the girls don’t. 

“She’s serious,” Keina confirms. 

“Oh.”

“Yeah,” they say in unison.

“Uh….moving on.”

“Ushijima-san, did you find it hard raising kids while balancing your career?”

“Yes, mostly because I wasn’t good at it.”

“What advice would you give younger players trying to balance?”

“Don’t balance. Just pick your family.”

“Sir, if you could just give me something,” he pleads.

“I’m giving you the interview.”

“Are you two friends with the other legacy kids?”

“No.”

“Yes.”

The two answer simultaneously and Airi scoffs, saying, “she is not me.”

“Kyoudo, he’s Bokuto-san's son, I love him. We used to practice together when we were younger. He’s such a little crybaby though-”

“Keina,” Ushijima says from behind the camera.

“No she’s right, literally he used to whine every time Keina beat him. Which was often. I mean I would be crying too, he’s two years older than her.”

“Airi,” you hiss.

“What?”

“Um, what about other players' kids? Are you friends?”

“I mean Iwaizumi-san’s daughter, Emiko loves me….she’s also like one and I babysit her, so that doesn’t really count,” Keina realizes, voice trailing off. 

“Yeah all of dad’s teammates waited until they were like thirty, and we were both accidents so,” Airi explains.

“Oh my god,” you whisper. 

“The only one who has a kid not under the age of ten besides Bokuto-san is Atsumu-san.” Keina says, “And that Miya is just….”

“A dick.” 

“What positions do you play?”

“I’m a setter,” Airi answers. 

“I play opposite.”

“How did growing up together mold you as players?”

“I think it made us well-rounded. Right?”

“Yeah,” Keina agrees. 

“I mean not only were we raised by one of the greatest players, but we also had access to each other and always pushed the other to grow.”

“Mhm.”

“And no matter if we win or lose, I always knew my little sister was on my team. At least back then,” Airi confesses, voice nearly cracking. 

“...yeah,” Keina agrees, eyes almost watering.

“Speaking of teams, you two actually play for different one’s right? Keina’s playing for the team that beat yours in the tournament last year?” Sato asks.

The girls share a look before Airi asks, “sir, have you ever played volleyball?”

“No-”

“I thought so,” she says with a smile.

“I’m….I’m gonna cut.”

“Yeah, you do that.”

“How long have you been together?” Sato tiredly asks. 

“Since we were seventeen,” Ushijima answers quickly.

“Yeah, that.”

“When did you get married?”

“Twenty-four,” he answers again.

“Where’d you meet?”

“In high school. I quite literally ran into him.”

“And then we had a project together,” he remembers. 

“And the rest is history,” you say, lovingly looking into his eyes and a small smile grazes his face.

“I love you,” he whispers. 

“I love you.”

Sato clears his throat and you embarrassed, turn back to the camera. 

“We’re not going to lie and say it’s not hard, because it is, extremely, but…”

“It’s worth it,” Ushijima says, still looking into your eyes. 

He cuts the camera and you and your husband each stand up to say your goodbyes.

“It was a pleasure to meet you and your family.”

“You as well,” you say with a smile.

“And your daughters are….” he begins to say as his eyes drift off to see Airi staring daggers at him from across the room and Keina trying to get her to stop but proving to be unsuccessful. “They’re..”

“You don’t need to finish that,” you tell him.

“Anyways I just want to thank you all for your time.”

Ushijima asks bluntly, “you’re not using the interview, are you?”

“Absolutely not.”

[VIDEO] Musical JAMIE: The Musical "JAMIE" is Now Available to Watch Online

With the double cast of Morisaki Win and Takahashi Fuu as Jamie New, both versions of the Musical "JAMIE" have been made available to watch online.

Both versions feature Sato Ryuji as Dean Paxton.

NOTE: On the broadcast day, Yabe Masaki (the W-cast for Dean) had been a close contact of someone who had tested COVID-19 positive. During this time, Ryuji took on the role as an emergency replacement. Because of this, Ryuji performed for five consecutive performances on three consecutive days without a break.

PERSONAL HIGHLIGHT

Dean Paxton is a classmate of Jamie who bullies Jamie for being gay and for wanting to be a drag queen. However, Ryuji puts his own spin on the role, bringing to life a Dean whose confidence and popularity hides a boy who is as conflicted and insecure as the Jamie he bullies. 

Even as he watches Jamie grow into his own, Dean finds himself being pushed to the fringes, and we watch as Dean’s shields crumble, leading to the final explosive but also incredibly sweet confrontation between him and Jamie. 

Ryuji’s Dean has a subtly different relationship with Win’s Jamie and Fuu’s Jamie, and an incredible chemistry with both of them.

How about a scenario where Mahiru discovers Miaya Gekkogahara the Ultimate Therapist and immediately suggests her friend to Emiko Sato to her? Emiko opens her home life to Miaya with parents who are trapped in their jobs and giving time with her, thus leaving her alone more often. Thanks to Miaya, Emiko learns to socialize with others.

i love miaya sm she's so underrated

Mahiru knew that Emiko was having a hard time. She knew that there was a lot going on in Emiko’s life- and she also knew, thanks to Ms. Yukizome, that Miaya was supposed to be the person to go to for help.

Emiko was definitely a little off about meeting with Miaya at first, until she started getting a little more stressed with the Reserve Course. Then she knew she had to do something.

Miaya was glad to meet with her, to help in any way she could. She learned a lot about Emiko’s life, and started with her to try different methods of socializing with others.

It was…definitely tough. But she already had an idea of who she could try getting to know better: one of her classmates, Hajime, and then some of Mahiru’s friends, if she was alright with that.

Little by little, meeting by meeting, some things started getting a bit easier. She was forming connections and learning how to manage herself as best she could. And she really thought it helped.

Toshio Matsumoto's Funeral Parade of Roses both participates in and parodies the late-1960s avant-garde "underground" film movement, with its reliance on eccentric cuts and random inserts. There's a scene in which the filmmakers are shooting a badly tuned television set, and keep fiddling with the set to get the kind of distorted image they want. And at one point someone quotes the avant-garde filmmaker Jonas Mekas -- and then gets his name wrong, calling him "Menas Jokas." Matsumoto's film keeps the viewer off-balance at all times, moving in and out of what we take to be "reality" to expose that it's all moviemaking. There is, for example, a scene in which the cross-dressing protagonist, Eddie ( Pîtâ), and a Black man, Tony (Don Madrid), seem to be having sex, with lots of pornographic gasping and facial contortions. But then the camera angle shifts and we see that there's a camera crew surrounding the bed where Tony is propped up by himself on the headboard while the camera is focused on the face of Eddie, simulating ecstasy. Even the main story of the film gets its distancing when we cut to the actor who plays Eddie, Pîtâ (or Peter, as the English language screen credits have it), being interviewed about the role he's playing. It's much like his own life, he says, except for the incest part. At this point in the film, we don't know about the incest part, which precipitates the crisis in Eddie's life. Suffice it to say that Matsumoto based a large part of the film on Oedipus Rex. The central story deals with the rivalry between Eddie and Leda (Osamu Ogasawara), the "Madame" of a club that caters to salarymen who want to sleep with gei boi, for the affections of Gonda (Yoshio Tsuchiya), a man who turns out to have more significance in Eddie's life than is at first apparent. There are some longueurs in Matsumoto's film, mostly having to do with the avant-garde sequences but also with a too-long drugged-out orgy scene. (Other people's orgies are invariably boring.) But there are some genuine shocks and some real emotion in the film, and the performance by Pîtâ -- best known as the androgynous Kyoami, the analogue to the Fool in Ran (1985), Akira Kurosawa's reworking of King Lear -- is outstanding.

I just want to introduce everyone to my newest character, Emiko Sato, this time for starfinder. Slightly magical bartender by day, tired from working by night.

A dash of magic and quick hands can create wonderful shows and tasty drinks, but also empty pockets. While she seems human there is more to her, perhaps that will be a reveal for another time. For now enjoy!

Kome was in good spirits today given Jun'ichi was today Not at school because of sickness and Pocky day was there which Meant free Candy. As she visited NRC given she was invited for a gaming Tournament at Leroys room with Chisato, she ran Into Emiko along the way.

"Hey Chi-chan, could you Go ahead without me, I wanna say hi to Emiko-chan when I am Here."

Chisato nodded and Kome sat next to Emiko on a Bench who was Invested In a book.

"Emi-chan how are you?"

"K-Kome... what are you doing Here?"

"Got invited by Lee-chan. Given my luck would be funny at a Tournament. But how come you sit Here all alone on a Pocky day? Here Take one."

She handed Emiko a Pocky who was eating it.

"Its sweet...."

"There is this challenge they do today, Mainly to See who gets closer without backing Off. I would Love to try it, but sadly I haven't found someone willing to try."

"H-How about we try it?"

"You would Emi-chan? You are such a sweetheart."

Kome took the Other end of The Pocky, however it seemed Emiko already lit Up in a Blushy pink and was fidgity.

"No need to be nervous, its just me, I don't try to Hurt you."

Somehow These words calmed her. At least Till the Moment that Kome got Close and pressed a soft kiss on her. Emikos face got hella Red.

"I See so its more the tension im this game... And Here I thought there was something more interesting... Still it was fun, thanks for trying it with me, Emi-chan."

Her Smile was bright while Emiko still tried to recover. Kome layed a Hand on her shoulder.

"Also it helped slightly to get your shyness away, you we're really calm in between. See Baby steps. How about you come with to the Tournament, you could Just watch and maybe Talk in between."

"A-alright."

Sato’s (Mahiru’s friend) is slept on the fandom. Here’s a concept: Emiko Sato swears that Kaede’s Natsumi and after a embarrassing mistaken for identity, a flustered Emiko apologized to Kaede for her mistake after she confirms she’s not related to Natsumi or the Kuzuryuu clan. Kaede kindly invites Emiko watch her play piano and even offer her piano lessons. Give Sato love.

In her defense, Kaede and Natsumi did look incredibly alike. But it was still super embarrassing for that mistaken identity, especially when Emiko swore up and down that Kaede was Natsumi.

Naturally she apologized. It was almost worse that she was a third-year and Kaede was a first-year, what a way to welcome her to the school, right? But Kaede forgave her still.

In fact, Kaede wanted to keep in touch. She understood that it was a mistake, and invited Emiko to watch her play piano sometimes. She even offered to try teaching her how to play, if she wanted.

Emiko wasn’t very music-minded, but she didn’t mind listening to Kaede practice from time to time. She was happy that she was making more friends, ones who liked her for her.

Kaede, too, liked that she was branching out. She didn’t know the most about the Reserve Course, just that they didn’t have Ultimate talents. She didn’t care about that; they seemed like nice enough people!
