#Escape room movie

man everyday i wish Escape Room (2019) had gotten more popular. the trailers made it look so bad, i know i didn’t watch it until years after it came out, but it’s genuinely one of my favorite movies (not that i necessarily have good taste). i love the blatantly autistic coded main girl, Zoe, and the rest of the characters as well. it’s got an actor i really like, Tyler Labine (known for playing Hunk on Voltron and also for being in Tucker and Dale Vs Evil) in ANOTHER role that just makes me love him more. it has portrayals of PTSD that i find very compelling and cinematic. i would suggest looking for a trigger list before watching tho seeing as it’s a horror movie (i think i would suggest that for any horror movie tho). i watch this movie like every three to four months.

TLDR pls watch Escape Room (2019) (and it’s sequel isnt terrible if you feel up to watching that too)

I think the scariest thing about Minos is that they can get you at any time, once you become their target, you're done. Once you're in a game, how do you ever really know you're out and have "won"? they might let you live but only because they have another way they want to fuck you up. They might let you out, but they can perversely work their way back into your life any time they want (as seen in ToC). They have the ability to completely alter your reality and give you the world's most knee crumbling trust issues. And that's terrifying.

Escape Room as a horror vehicle was inevitable as evidenced by the 800 movies with some variant of the name. I expected this to be dire and I don’t love any of the death scenes really but I think it’s actually pretty neat overall, and there’s some cool scenes.

So in my “will-i-won’t-i” with Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss (where I procrastinate and don’t watch the shows and only absorb the content through TikTok, Tumblr and sometimes Twitter) I came across Staticmoth/ VoxVal.

I saw the scene with Angel and Valentino. His abuse and disgusting behavior. I have an idea on how this moth asshole behaves.

And I have seen some people think that their relationship would be toxic, that Vox and Val, if the predictions are correct and become (or are revealed to be) a couple, would beat the shit (physically, mentally and emotionally) out of each other on the regular, but I think the idea that him and Vox having a healthy relationship could be such a punch to the gut plot wise.

Because that would mean Valentino IS capable of understanding consent. He KNOWS what working with someone else means without disrespect. He FULLY knows what sex is supposed to be like.

But that’s is between equals. Vox? His equal. Fellow overlord.

Angel? His property. Why would he give a shit about his thing?
