HIII Thanks for the ask!!! I was just about to make a post about the plot of this au actually, Im not the best at explanations and the plot is a bit confusing so im going to try and get this down as simple as possible lol

Explanation below! vvv

This is a canon divergence au sprouting off at somepoint near the earlier stages of Rose's rebellion when Pink and Pearl realised a hole in Pink D's disguise (the fact Pink Diamond and Rose cant actually be seen together) and decided to create a fake real Rose Quartz out of a to function as pink diamonds body double, and thus the rosen twice au sprouted

this Fake real roses purpose is to be rose quartz when pink can't, Fake rose is basically the same one we see in the SUF episode rose buds just with actual Roses dress

(the only way of telling them apart is the slight difference in their colour schemes)

Fake rose would act as rose quartz whenever pink had to do diamond stuff and then when pink was free again the fake rose would lie around in moon base till she was needed again, pearl would tell Both roses what happened while they were gone to keep the transition flawless, but fake rose was never properly close to any members of the crystal gems (she never had the chance to be, it was all a big act to her)

Post war---------

The crystal gems are settled on earth in beach city, but Pink diamond never properly settled down as rose quartz the same way she did in canon instead she still swaps out with fake rose frequently (and vanishes a lot more than before) (Fake rose now spends her time off shift in lions mane).

One day Pink vanishes and never comes back. and then after a whole stressed year for Pearl and Fake rose, a human man shows up at the temple with a baby......

aside from the fact its just fun i wanted to mimic the eyes certain devils have in csm

As a general art thing i like to give non-human charecters funky eyes

i consider it a fun way to know a bit about a charecter before their properly introduced

Now regular 15 chuuya IS human but his eyes are like this because he doesnt think he is, i like to have charecters effected by their own or other peoples opinions of them

I do a slightly more annoying version of what harukawa does with light in eyes

In example (using an oc of mine)

Misacho's eyes in Misacho's pov (Its based on how she sees herself morally)

Misacho's eyes in chuuya's pov (based on how he sees her morally)

And then misacho in the readers view (unbiased lense so its based on how she actually is)

It makes it more complex and i think its fun if you have to first decode who's perspective is influencing whatever comic or image there is and then get a read on the charecters opinions based on that

Circling back to 15 chuuya

I like making him more monstery looking with sharp teeth and nails and funky eyes especially when hes around the sheep (he gets MORE monstery then) because of the sheeps feelings about chuuya and his own about himself ect

in short this was an excuse to rant about details i like to put in my art
