I’d been thinking about addiction and I’d been thinking about people who, if they’re either suffering through mental illness, addiction or they have an everyday struggle. No one pats them on the back every day but every day they’re actively fighting something. I know you’ve probably gotten thousands of rants just like this one from newly turned ex-swifties, but I really need to get this out of me and you’ve clearly turned your blog into some kind of support group so…

I listened to “But Daddy, I love him”, and I’ve never been so pissed off by a song. Sorry that I don’t like your racist rat-looking boyfriend??? And then she dares to be like: “I’d want to live in the 1830s if it wasn’t racist.” I saw a comment on some social media, I can’t remember which one, but it was like “Taylor when racism in 1830: >:( Taylor when racism in 2023: :).” And it’s 100% true.

But I think the worst part is that now that I’m distancing myself from the hivemind, I’m noticing how delusional and deranged swifties are. I saw one swiftie saying we all should write an apology letter and sign it??? What do we need to apologize for??? Not liking racism??? What’s next, we ask black people to apologize for advocating for the dismantlement of slavery??? Or segregation???

And this wasn’t an easy realization, either, I was heartbroken when I first heard the lyrics, and read the stuff Swifties were saying. And I feel so stupid about that because it’s not like Taylor or Swifties have ever hidden their self-entitlement. She’s never spoken up about Palestine, she’s a carbon criminal, she’s a white feminist, and she’s never said anything about Swifties being racist to artists like Beyonce or SZA! 

Also, the album just sucked. I listened to all 31 songs, none of them stuck out to me, and I was bored within minutes. This sounds like something a sixteen-year-old would right, which is strange because she’s thirty-four. I could name five songs from the albums she wrote when she was a teenager that had better lyrics than anything on this album. Two years my ass. She cannot be serious.

The music industry is deeply in trenches. Make a mediocre music, release multiple vinyls of same sh*t and get your checks. Taylor Swift was probably the first alive western artist I listened to when I was like 8, so in that sense her music holds a very special place in my heart. I think she's a great song writer and it's impressive how she's done multiple genres so well. Her old songs give me a feeling of comfort which i really like. I also admire the fact that she's self made (edit: apparently she's not, alot of money and resources were involved in making her famous) plus i sympathize with the fact that she joined the music industry so young and narrowly missed being sexualised as a child (people were literally calling her country lolita). And also all that shit with kim and kanye

I don't like her right now though, i can't bring myself to sympathise with someone who calls herself a tortured poet in all seriousness (a billionaire cis straight white woman) Also hate her for all that carbon emissions and her inability to deal with conflict. Instead of addressing the issue she just started suing anyone who released her private jet flight details. • Lawrence felt so guilty about not going back for Adam that he used his power as an apprentice to anonymously stalk Adam’s family, find his parents and send money to them to pay for his grave or to go towards the vigil.

• In an argument with Scott Tibbs (probably to do with the new album photoshoot) he broke the last picture Adam had of his parents.

• He began smoking and doing drvgs in his early teens, and this was one of the reasons why he fell out with his parents and got kicked out.

• After everything that happened to Adam, Lawrence took up photography to help remember him.

• Larry would also go to the parking lot where they first properly met, to reconnect with him.

• Afraid of the dark.

• After the events of saw 1 (if he magically escaped) he would NEVER lock the doors to the bathrooms he would use in public, in case he got locked in one again. But it would kind of annoy you because you’d have to wait for him.

• Went to a rehabilitation camp when he was younger.

• Adam met Daniel at a ‘Wrath of the Gods’ gig. But he saw him as a little brother.

• Daniel would rant to Adam about Eric, but Adam would relate to it all because of his own relationship with his father.

• Adam would often compare himself to the attention Scott got from women, this would make him a lot more insecure and self conscious .

• The photo of Adam (seen in The Scott Tibbs Documentary) was the last remaining thing Scott got from Adam’s apartment, the rest of it was taken by squatters…

• Bailed Scott out a couple times, this is one of the reasons why he is poor.

• Definitely had that one teacher at school that he’d just linger with because all of the other people in his grade/year pissed him off.

• Taught Daniel how to skate.

• Liked Amanda because he knew that she wouldn’t run off with Scott.

• His parents definitely tried reaching out to him, but he didn’t want any of it.

• His parents put flyers and missing poster signs to try and get their son back. But it didn’t work …

• He had such a problem with Larry cheating on his wife because I get the vibe that Adam’s dad cheated on his mom.

That is such an outrageous claim. Taylor is praised by 90% of the media. Taylor has a [rabid] fan base that send literal death threats to people who voice their negative opinions on her. Taylor being called out for genuinely bad work and bad choices is not hate it’s accountability.

Britney Spears has it worse than Taylor and continues to have it worse than most celebrities. Miley Cyrus endured some of the worst treatment from the general public and media of a current star when she was growing up. Justin Bieber has been abused by the media since he was 15. Michael Jackson was ridiculed at every turn when he was alive and people still tried to take advantage and drag his name through the dirt after he died. Marilyn Monroe was treated as more of an object than a person and still is mistreated today with misrepresentations of her life being made for entertainment purposes. Cassie literally just had footage of being assaulted by her ex Diddy released to the public. God I could keep going but I won’t. The proof is out there. She’s just too blind to see it. She claims she’s not a Swiftie but she clearly is. If she’s neutral towards Taylor she could at least acknowledge that Taylor has had it very easy in contrast to MOST celebrities.

I had her original account blocked but she made a new one and keeps posting in the anti tag and I’m just fed up. I’ve blocked her again but I needed to rant. Most people in the anti tag aren’t actively hating just expressing their frustrations and even if they were hating. ITS IN THE ANTI TAG. OMG. I've honestly called other performers WAY worse things than I've called Taylor Swift. I've criticized countless artists for a variety of things. Hell, anyone who knows me knows I have just as many issues with Harry Styles as I do Taylor Swift (they're basically two versions of the same issues if you ask me).

I tag my posts the way I do for one reason, and one reason only: so that swifties can block me, block the tag(s), and fuck off. I'm not going to sit here and try to convince someone that they shouldn't support her - that has to come from your own moral compass. Because I am soooooo over this album. I have been fan since debut, I mean I don’t know all her songs but I have always listened to her music. I have never been interested in her life as well. I only listened to her music and never focused on the other stuff. I was always been aware of some drama. But never really paid attention to it.

When midnight came out I I loved the album because I saw sooo much maturity in it and the music and her writing. I also loved her promotion of it and then the eras tour I was like that’s amazing how she has grown as human. But now I am sorry but I getting the IK from her and the swifties.

Her behaviour to me is sooo off putting, she is acting over the top. And the people she is surrounding herself with are soo questionable.

Her playing into fan theories, the playlists, the constant pap walks (they are obviously planned and staged to get her more exposure), and naming her album to match the group chat from Joe and his friends screams I am an immature and petty Ex.

I will still listen to the album when it comes out but will probably listen when it’s a been a minute since it’s released.

As a romance reader I thought the relationship was so cute, the football player and the pop star but these past two months have been so fucking cringe. I don’t know how to feel about her. Like you said it’s obviously PR, no way this is real. It’s just too over the top. You can have public relationships but this is not it, if you get what I am saying.

I feel the same. I was so proud of Tay's growth and her maturity when she renounced the Hollywood lifestyle and described it as a place of "lies" in Getaway Car. Her taking a step back and deciding to focus on music was so real and refreshing.

Now, all of that progress seems to be undone by her actions over the past 2 years. It's heart-breaking to witness.

Rant About Entitled "Swifties" (& Stuff)

So many people don't understand music any more.

They think it's a business transaction. Where an artist needs to constantly put out "fresh" content that's never been heard before.

That an artist makes music for their fans. That an artist OWES their fans music, as well as many other things.

That which ex-boyfriend a song is about is the most important thing to know.

But music is art. And that's not how art works.

Taylor wrote "But Daddy I Love Him" about US. because it's really "But Swifties I Love Him"

Because so many so-called Swifties think they can decide who Taylor can be with. Which is obviously bullshit.

And y'all keep saying she needs to stop working with Jack Antanoff and put out something that's different and new.

But she doesn't. She doesn't owe anyone anything. It is HER music and you are the ones choosing to listen to it.

And y'all are ALWAYS screaming at her for more!!!

She announces a brand new album and y'all expect her to immediately drop reputation TV as if she's some machine that pumps out music.

But y'all are just greedy. And it's not a good look. It's people like y'all that make Swifties look bad. And if you're one of these people, who've been truly doing this stuff (you know who you are) , you should be ASHAMED of yourself!!!

The thing is...the manipulate jerk that Jake is, he was in her life for way more time than people think. No one understands how much Jake impacted her and broke her. Yeah that can happen in one month too but she literally resents him in a way that makes me think that it wasn't just one or two months. Feel like there's a chance they kept seeing eachother for few more months or like just hooking up. I mean I've read The Moviestar and Me so I wouldn't put it past him to keep coming back to a 21 year old Taylor. He has a pattern

I think this might become her downfall. Some people are now finally showing displeasures about her antics. Its all in the show now. She cant pretend to be goody shoes anymore. Swiftie here. (Please don't be mean!) I'm a big Swiftie, I have all her cd's, own a lot of merch, and even went to the Eras tour. I know the lyrics to like 93% of her songs, and have previously defended her like it was my professional job. But this latest album…dare I say it just shouldn't have been made at ALL? I loved Joe and Taylor together, and felt like she was her best (and most tolerable) when with him.

Joe was handsome, intelligent, and kind. His biggest character "flaw" seemed to have been that he was depressed. And she risks a six year relationship on MATTY HEALY?! Instead of trying to save her stagnant relationship, she has an emotional affair and touches herself to the thought of another man.

She not only did these things, but then wrote THIRTY ONE songs about them! She will never do any wrong in the eyes of 99% of Swifties, but being in the Swiftie fandom and listening to the big circle jerk of this being "HeR bEsT aLbUm YeT", and I've had enough. The way she writes about her emotional affair with a terrible man while the (supposed) love of her life is suffering from depression is just cruel. We didn't need a song like "Guilty As Sin?". I didn't need the visuals that came with it.

hi, indian anon here ( I think I used the ⏳️) ig you can say I'm an ex swiftie, but in the sense that I was never exposed to western music until evermore and I listened to it and loved it. I never engaged with the fandom or anything, and didn't even know all these things taylor did, and I thought taylor was a decent person because of the documentary. This was until ofc, the matty healy incident which opened my eyes to her behavior, but idky I felt like I couldn't openly dislike her. Everyone in my school was obsessed with her and if you're a girl, and you hated her, or even disliked her, you were a pick me, and I didn't wanna get hated on more by my classmates (long story there). The last straw for me was prolly when 1989 tv was released (after the mh incident I just called myself a swiftie cuz I liked her earlier work) and I had joined an online swiftie group chat, and the people there were so vile and hateful. I remember saying it's wrong hating on harry styles for cheating on her cuz she did the same, or that Joe alwyn is just a regular dude, and so are all her other exes, except prolly matty and the John Mayor guy for dating a 19 y/o (SHE ALSO DATED MINORS THO??? no one talked about this shit) and I mentioned that she's not god and that she has done bad things, and the gc, which had 50 active members everyday, collectively not only hated on me, but also these people had access to my private insta acc. My face, my friends, my address, they knew it all. It was so scary, and while I have been in plenty of toxic fandoms before (my first death threats were by the hp fandom, which I've left long back), I actually felt threatened. It actually felt like a cult, and it was scary until my insta acc got shut down (idky), and the ppl couldn't find me anymore. The swiftie fandom is weird at best, and potential criminals at worst, because wtf. They don't have any sort of individual thinking, and if someone does, they will find a way to shut it down. Even now, when I interact with a swiftie and taylor Swift comes up, and I say I don't like her, their behavior is just like the ones online. Ik ppl get more confidence to do bad things online cuz of anonymity, but swifties are the same irl, too. They completely believe it is okay to treat ppl terribly, harass and spread disgusting rumors and even doxx a Palestinian woman and give her details to Isreali organization. Like that actually happened. I regret that I didn't leave the fandom sooner because I can't believe I was associated with something like this. Ik celebrities make mistakes, and that fandoms always have one toxic portion, but this is too much.

I don't think ttpd would've had so much criticism if it wasn't so hyped up by swifties and Taylor herself. Folklore and Evermore are my favourite albums and because Taylor put so much emphasis on how good the songwriting of this album is i thought i was going to love it. So my expectations were a more Lana del rey or the national kind of vibe, orchestral pop or psychedelic rock and it would be like a third sister to folklore and evermore. I've noticed that Taylor's albums are all starting to sound like midnights. 1989 is such a good pop album but 1989 tv sounds midnightified especially the vault tracks sound like they belong on midnights. As much as I love Jack Antonoff as he gave us some great albums i think Taylor desperately needs a new producer. I think the album is definitely "raw" in the sense that unlike the other albums that are super put together, in order and organised, ttpd is messy like a bunch of paragraphs from her notes app thrown together, it isn't essentially a bad thing, but if you're gonna talk about how ttpd required more song writing talent than any other album, it's pretty reasonable for people to be disappointed. I thought name was a reference to joe's group chat name and kind of poking fun at that, but oh no it's an actual fuking asylum and the whole idea makes me very uneasy. The reason why folklore and evermore work is because it's not from the perspective of Taylor but rather the people she's made up in her mind and because she is such a good story teller those albums sound awesome. Something about a straight cis billionaire white woman calling herself a tortured poet in all seriousness and romaticising asylums/electroshock therapy makes me so so so uncomfortable. I understand why swifties are so defensive and protective of Taylor, with all the shit that happened with Kim and Kanye but I feel like they think she's a god that can do no wrong, which is stupid you can like an artist but still call me them out their shitty decisions. The "oh you think her singing writing is not that good why don't you write something better" is such a stupid argument, this random person criticising Taylor isn't constantly referred to as the greatest song writer of our generation, she is. I saw a post saying "the biggest burn is that most songs are about Matty Healy and not Joe Alwyn" like excuse me but if my ex that I dated for many years just starts gushing over a slimy ass Nazi racist sexist pathetic excuse of a man, I'd go "thank god good riddance". What happened to "you are what you love" Taylor?. I really like some songs, but I keep getting disgusted when It clicks who they're about. "But daddy I love him" is a great song but it's about ratty Healy fuck off ew.

I can honestly say I've been a T.S fan for over a decade, and i have never spoken to/seen such insane human beings that are claiming to be "swifties."

I don't understand how people don't get that you can enjoy a celebrities art and not worship them?? I adore taylors music, but there are MANY things I fundamentally disagree with her on. but when I point those out, suddenly I'm a villain???

she is not void of critique because she's a woman who makes good songs. when it boils down to it, she is a product of EXTREME privilege. and that's okay when you can accept that and use it to inform your opinions/statements/art, but she doesn't.

not even mentioning the crazy fucking conspiracy theories. the kind of easter eggs taylor uses are signs in music videos, I PROMISE she's not hinting to her ex-bf cheating by using mathematical equations.
