The Color Guardians don't have any preconceived notions of what being a "magical girl" looks like (none of them are genre savvy). The only exception kinda is Benny who's sister was the Red Guardian before him, so he knew exactly what he was getting into.

i don’t really think of denki as an insecure person - yes, he has his moments of doubt, but i don’t really think it’s something he thinks too deeply about. i think it’s more likely that denki (and a lot of the other 1-A kids, probably) ends up comparing themselves to todoroki or bakugou or midoriya, and placing them as the standard of what they should be. with denki in particular, he’s just accepted that he’s not as good as them, and never will be - except, those three are the exception, not the rule, and i think that in comparing himself to them denki ends up missing his own potential, and doesn’t realize just how great he actually is, or could be

did my first ever used car browsing online and there's a car that's like really good on basically every aspect but the color is fucking NASTY. but ive been evolving a bit around it. and so now im like thinking "okay the bit's funny now but would it be funny in like seven years" kinda stuff

Honestly, I think the tadpole paired with extreme cranial trauma may have actually benefited durge in the initial aftermath of their injury.

I keep seeing the leather/pleather vs denim jacket poll over and over again with all different sorts of discourse about how there is no plastic-free pleather and like, that's TRUE, there isn't, but honestly I DO think people who don't want to use animal products* also deserve to look cool
and so my suggestion is that y'all google "waxed cotton jacket" or "waxed canvas jacket" plus like, "motorcycle" or whatever style you think is cool, because there's a plastic free leather-look material that is strong and durable and waterproof and doesn't use animal products** AND is plastic free already out there and some of the clothes that you can get made out of it look sick as hell.
*ignoring the fact that most leather is meat by-product that would be going to waste anyway
