"Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.”
— Martin Luther King, Jr.
There are numerous ongoing Issues in Pakistan which has repeatedly challanged the reputation of the Country but today we will discuss a very important societal disease.

youtube

If i could ever get a chance to change anything about our Country .. I would bring a huge change by providing the poor :
• Food • Shelter • Safety
It's an unfortunate truth that poverty continues to persist in our society, affecting millions worldwide. Beyond the statistics lie stories of struggle, resilience, and untapped potential. Poverty deprives individuals of their basic needs, stifles their dreams, and creates a vicious cycle that is hard to escape.
🌱 However, amidst the darkness, there are beacons of hope. Communities, organizations, and individuals like you and me are standing up against poverty, working tirelessly to break these chains and uplift lives. Let's explore the underlying causes of poverty and delve into the transformative power of empowerment.

I've gone through the Instagram of Influencers who are raising the awareness for the poor :
@doctorswithoutborders
@glblctzn
@povertyconnection
I am really impressed by the work of these handles, So I must share ahead in order to spread the word for the community.
Empowering Solutions:
✨ Education for all: Support organizations that provide quality education to underprivileged children. By contributing to scholarships, school infrastructure, and teacher training, we can create a level playing field for every child.
Lets Donate ! ( A funding website where you can feed the poor )
Conclusion (Action):
🤝 As we conclude our journey through the realms of poverty, let's remember that it's not enough to merely acknowledge the issue—we must act. Poverty is a collective challenge, and our combined efforts can create lasting change. Together, we can break the chains of poverty, empower lives, and build a world where opportunities abound for all.
🌟 Join the movement!
Spread awareness about poverty, support organizations, volunteer your time, and donate what you can. Remember, every small action contributes to a larger transformation. Together, let's rewrite the narrative of poverty and create a future of hope and prosperity for everyone. 💙

Let's face it - we're all of little sick of hearing about Covid. We're so blessed to live in a country where life has returned to normal so quickly, but that's not the case for most people.
In Kenya and Uganda, organizations like @Living Goods has incurred additional costs to maintain the same level of health care to children and families. This is why your support is so critical and appreciated! Mary and her daughter, Annet are just some of the people you're supporting:
"Covid has greatly impacted us, especially our earnings. My husband and I are farmers, but the prices of food were low we did not earn as much as we had anticipated.
I have a two year-old, Annet who is my youngest. She has had poor health in the last few months. Community Health Worker Harriet has been treating her and she has not charged me for the medicine"

It's October 15th, ♀️ International Day of Rural Women. Since 2008, the United Nations has been sponsoring this annual event as part of its overall commitment to eradicating poverty, hunger, and inequality all over this world. The UN believes that improving the lives of Rural Women is the key to making this happen.
Rural women ensure food security for their communities, build climate resilience, and strengthen economies. Yet, gender inequalities, such as discriminatory laws and social norms, combined with a fast-changing economic, technological and environmental landscape restrict their full potential, leaving them far behind men and their urban counterparts.
Women make up more than 40% of the agricultural labor force in developing countries, ranging from 20% in Latin America to 50% and more in parts of Africa and Asia. Yet these women face significant discrimination when it comes to pay, land and livestock ownership, and access to the credit, resources, markets, and decision-making processes that could help their farms succeed and flourish. Giving women the same opportunities as men could raise agricultural production by 2.5 to 4% in the poorest regions and reduce malnourishment by 12 to 17%.
Let's recognize the work these heroines perform within our world's food systems and support the efforts of those who are fighting to establish equal opportunities for all rural women. ☮️ Peace… Jamiese of Pixoplanet

Extreme poverty in Nigeria keeps me up at night, says Osinbajo

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo says the problem of extreme poverty in Nigeria keeps him up at night. Osinbajo disclosed this at a dinner and Interactive Session with Faculty Members, Harvard Business School (HBS) in Lagos. The vice president featured alongside Srikant Datar, Professor of Business Administration (HBS), and Bayo Ogunlesi, a Nigerian investment banker at a question and answer session moderated by Hakeem Bello-Osagie, Chairman of Metis Capital Partners. “I think what keeps me up at night has to do with extreme poverty; the issue is that the largest number of those who vote for us are the very poor. “The promises that government makes to them is that their lives will be better and obviously they are looking at their lives being better in the shortest possible time. “I will like to see Nigeria being an industrialised nation in the next 10 years; a very strong middle class and most people living above poverty line.” Osinbajo said that a lot of government policies were taking into account people at the bottom of the pyramid with a focus on agriculture and getting credit facilities to farmers in order to achieve self sufficiency. He said that many farmers in the country had been lifted out of poverty by this administration. According to him, a lot of attention had also been given to the Social Intervention Programmes (SIPs) which factored the provision of cheap credit to petty traders at the bottom of the pyramid. The vice president told the HBS that Nigeria was open to business with its various potentials and urged Nigerian investors abroad to look homewards. “If you are going to do business anywhere in Africa, it has to be Nigeria. “This is where you have the energy; you have the drive. “We are already seeing that kind of activity; business people will always be driven by profit. “Talent will always go in the direction where it is best rewarded; one can’t afford to be sentimental about that. “As people see that the environment is getting better for business, they will come back; the opportunities for making huge profits are here. “Practically everything we are doing is to ensure that there is environment for business to thrive. People are leaving but people are coming back.” He said the Federal Government, through the Special Economic Zones (SEZ) was encouraging the manufacturers. The vice president said the government was looking at natural economic clusters and had set up shared facilities and power. He said a lot was going on the agro-allied sector and of course, resolving the power challenges. “In the next few months, we will unveil a plan that deals with most of the critical issues in the power sector,” he said. On climate change, Osinbajo said that the momentum was in favour of renewable energy and Nigeria was doing a lot of investment in renewable energy; solar power and opening up opportunities. On his part, Datar said he was particularly proud of Osinbajo as an academic in governance, adding that academics provide enabling environment for good governance. He pledged HBS’s support in providing needed support for human capital development in Nigeria and proffering solutions to tackling Nigeria’s infrastructure challenges. Speaking, Ogunlesi said that the era of depending on government for infrastructure was gone, adding that the Federal Government had no business running infrastructure in Nigeria, especially the airports. In a vote of thanks, Emir of Kano, Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi 11, called for urgent action to address the high poverty rate in Nigeria especially in the North West. He also advocated for a committee on girl-child education to boost enrolment in schools and uplift their living standards. The event also attracted Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, US Ambassador to Nigeria, Stuart Symington, immediate past Minister of Trade and Investment, Okechukwu Enelamah, immediate past Minister of Budget and National Planning, Sen. Udoma Udo Udoma among others. Read the full article

I'll be taking a walk later tonight and will see this on my journey home. Its in a park where I play basketball in the summer time and in the evenings, this park has many who are homeless who sleep on the benches. This light means that the NYPD has cleared them out of the park... . . . I reflect every time I come through here about how even though I've lived through rough patches in my life, I've got it infinity better than many people in many ways. Its hard to get out of my own head and see the pain of others but sometimes I try to do just that because I know its hard to do... I never want to take for granted anything that I have. I am very fortunate to have the life I do and I still want and expect more to come from it... I just hope that in that journey that I can do something about the problems we have in our world. The way our world is built up, no government with power, money or influence has any excuse to not positively affect those who are going through poverty. We have just too much in this world to not be able to help those who need help... I hope to be able to do that one day... . . . #homelessness #poverty #extremepoverty #sleepingonthestreet #homelessshelter #photography #cityphoto #NewYorkCityStreets #newyorkcityparks #newyorkcityhomelessness https://www.instagram.com/p/Bp5r2cshIDd/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=r4rwzesquhv9

'#Greenback from #Africa - #ANarrative' In #BlackAfrica, governmental #contracts are #BigBusiness. #Politicians scrap existing contracts from previous #administrations to sign new ones themselves & inflate the #budget with tons more #cash just for themselves.
