dialear paired ending headcanons (future brodia)

so in alear and diamant's jp s support, they talk about adding stories of their own together, to the history of their rings

and in diamant's ending how he turns brodia into a nation of trade

brodia is no longer a monarchy after diamant's reign-- could align with the dialear paired ending where it says diamant retires for a quiet life in lythos. it's bc he gave the land to his people, thanks to the tireless work of him, alear, alcryst & retainers to establish a government

and then went to live with his wife/hubs after :>

in the far future, their rings are displayed in a gallery at brodia castle, which is now a historic site in the city

a child asks their father what the story behind the rings are, and he tells his child that those rings contain the stories of the first and last king of the nation of commerce/prosperity, and the divine dragon monarch, his partner, that allowed for their nation to become the gorgeous & bustling place that it is today

(idk, i'm imagining brodia becoming like liyue from genshin, maybe its bc brodia has lots of rocks and cliffs too, and all the gemstone names when zhongli is geo daddy, plus the fact it's prosperous and commercial like diamant's brodia of trade)

additional thoughts (off in the deep end)

brodia, despite becoming a trade capital, still does retain roots to its martial history. diamant and alear found their own swordfighting style together that's taught to young men and women that wish to join the military. this is actually how they manage to convince some of the stricter nobles, because they emphasize that higher ranks in the military will be recognized and publicly awarded accordingly. in the further future, adaptations of this fighting style are used in theatres.

brodia is known for hosting tournaments and sports etc. they might be the first country to found and host elyos' own version of the olympics. i'd like to think this one happened while diamant & alear were still alive, because this would probably go very well with some of the brodian nobles. competitions started out with archery, which alcryst won gold in despite his age when the events actually began (it was a sweep).

statues of the two of them in the city square. people pray to alear's even though it's not actually meant to be a statue of her as a goddess (that one is in lythos), it's to commemmorate her legacy.

i hc that chrom and robin are THE most embarrassing dads ever. like they’ve both always been sad that they missed out on lucina’s childhood so they try to do those things with her but just accidentally end up embarressing her horribly

Just me quietly building a little makeshift theory that Hubert and Edelgard are mainly sparing House Gloucester because Ferdinand is friends with Lorenz. Edelgard would love to cut them down or at least cast them aside, like Shez suggests, but she's not. Hubert advises everyone to take the members of the house alive if possible.

Yeah, there are convenient tactical reasons to keep them alive, but I wanna dream a dream where it's Ferdinand's feelings that get them to show mercy.

As always with Hubert, the details are everything. There's a reason they have him facing away from the camera for talking about this, even though you have his headshot in the corner to convey expression. This is something Hubert doesn't like to face, even though he wanted to exact revenge against his father. Not confronting his father's possible innocence is a big part of Hubert's feelings on him, because they are conflicting and complex.

I don't think he has any reservations about killing his father, honestly. But there are a lot of hurt feelings surrounding his dad that requires more self-reflection and healing than Hubert frankly has time for during the war and all the years leading up to it. So he pushes it off, buries those feelings deep, and refuses to face them.

Hence... The camera behind him. It's a lovely little scrap I've read into for my own delight and I hope you enjoy the three paragraphs too.

santa fe (prologue) is literally a prologue.

jack and crutchie’s relationship seems slightly different, like they don’t really know each other that well. they’re both just getting used to the idea of having someone there for them. why would jack just be telling crutchie his fondest hopes and dreams if they’ve been best friends and brothers for years?

it’s because this was a few years earlier.

also, the lighting in the background changes. at first, there’s a dark sky like it’s very early morning. then, jack starts talking about his dreams and the sun starts to rise. after the song ends is when it changes to the present. the sky goes back to dark, and race wakes up the other newsies instead of jack.

but ultimately, it was good that he confessed, as shinjiro joined the relationship and you began to date both of the boys!

it took a while to get used to this relationship, especially because shinjiro struggled to open up to you about his past and only could do so with the help of aki!

akihiko puts a lot of work into the relationship, as he wants both you and shinjiro to be happy!

akihiko and shinjiro are both quite reckless when it comes to battle and they want to protect you and show off a little, so you know they are strong enough to take care of you!

but your trips to tartarus often end with you patching up your two dumbasses, while they both mumble out apologies, for making you worry

there isn't any jealousy between akihiko and shinjiro, as they both want you and each other to be happy and know you don't have a favorite!

however, they do argue regularly, as they disagree on how to handle things in the relationship…

they always mean well and just want the best of you, but sometimes shinjiro thinks it would be best to give you some alone time, while akihiko insists on being there for you at all times

though in the end, they always make up. there is no fight that is too big to end their friendship! besides, they don't want to argue you in front of you, so they pull themselves together when you're near!

This ask was from November WHOOPSIES, but I'm doing well! Just procrastinating on writing as per usual.

Well, this was bound to happen since Alear was a divine being.

She figured this would probably happen among the more Pious members of the Somniel.

But when S/O told Alear that they were crying because she was pretty, as in just regular pretty, she couldn't help but blush.

(Alear) "O-Oh...Um, thank you! But, please don't cry!"

She has no idea how to actually deal with the situation. It both flattered and confused her to no end.

Ivy's mind completely comes to a halt.

She's had all kinds of people compliment her appearance, but never to the point they actually cried.

Her eyes blink rapidly as she sees S/O wipe away a few tears, just to make extra sure she was seeing things correctly.

It also makes her blush wildly, compounding onto the issue of trying to get them to stop crying just by seeing her.

(Ivy) "I see...I appreciate your kind words, but I would ask that you do not shed tears because of me."

Chloé is taken aback for a moment, immediately going to S/O's side.

(Chloé) "S/O, why are you crying, did something happen?!"

When told the reason, she couldn't help but feel a little bad. She was the reason her S/O was shedding tears but...because it was from her beauty?

That honestly sounded something unhinged that Louis would say.

And he kept his eyes closed!

(Chloé) "I'm sorry...I think?"

Rosado thinks something was wrong, drying their tears with a gentle hand.

(Rosado) "Dear, what's going on?"

And after being told the reason:

(Rosado) "Hah...I suppose my beauty is that moving after all...T-That was a joke, right?"

On some level, Rosado could understand. Seeing something so beautiful could move him to tears as well sometimes.

But to be the very thing that someone found so beautiful, well it made his heart skip a beat honestly (and boost his ego).
