As a reminder, our submissions are OPEN! Do you have a video game that doesn’t get much attention? Do you really want to share your favorite game? Send in a submission and we’ll make it a poll!
Goodbye Volcano High follows the dinosaur protagonist Fang (they/them) as they navigate their last year of high school, and their dreams of traveling with their band, with the looming threat of an asteroid hovering over them. Make friends, play songs, and do everything you can before the end of the world.

Personal Experience?
I’ve played the entirety of this game, and it’s an awesome experience! The music mini games are fun, the characters are easy to relate and root for, and you end up picking favorites while playing. The game is very short (I finished it in ~7 hours in one day) but it has a lot of replay value, especially with the different choices! There’s also lots of queer rep, and I definitely recommend playing if you’re queer yourself.
Fun facts?
The main character, Fang, is a pteranodon, even though it isn’t a dinosaur! The game also has many references to different dinosaurs, even taking place on Pangea.
So, over a week ago, I made playlists for the eight central characters of Goodbye Volcano High and shared them on the official KO_OP Discord. Now that I'm here, I think it would be cool to share the playlists here too. I'm starting with everyone's favorite enby dino: Fang!
My Explanation: Going by their punk/emo aesthetic, I think that Fang would love the rock music of the 2000s. Didn't put My Chemical Romance here because that would be too obvious, in my opinion. Plus, their younger self's outfit gave me some scene vibes.
Dirty Little Secret: A popular punk/emo tune that Fang could relate to in one way or another.
Human: A philosophical song about the musings of human nature, this would fit the famous bonfire scene.
Rooftops: Carpe Diem: the song. GVH is all about that theme.
Shadow of the Day: References the impending meteor.
The Pretender: Defiant as hell, fitting Fang perfectly.
My First Kiss: Not only would their younger self love it, Fang would definitely make this their and Naomi's song.
I am currently working on the whole cast but here's Fang from Goodbye Volcano High! I recently finished my first playthrough and I love this little game 🌠🦕
