I made a discord server almost a year ago for The Arcana/Fictif fans to hang out. It's gotten kind of quiet since as I haven't had the energy to maintain it. I plan on reviving it now. So I thought I'd drop the new link in case anyone is interested.

I'm also thinking of expanding to new fandoms such as Obey Me.

It is a very small and quiet space. But the people there are lovely and welcoming. It's also a safe space for queer and neurodivergent folk too.

We currently only have two mods, and are looking for more if anyone is interested after they've established themselves.

There are places to also talk about games, writing, and share art all outside of the games too.

But we'd love to have you come and hang out if you're interested. 💖✨😎

Casimir's Beast HCs

I said it would be a while before I posted something, right before I just sat down and wrote an entire scenario/imagine/headcanon thing. Strike while the iron's hot, I guess!

I haven't edited this much, I just wanted to post this while I still had the attention-span. Shoutout to anyone still into Monster Manor, I sure am. ✌🏽If you have any ideas or requests, my inbox is open as always!

-It’s hard to see on certain occasions, as Casimir tends to crouch and bend lower to the ground during his transformation, but he has a heart-shaped pattern on his abdomen, towards the side of his ribcage. It’s a pattern that shows on his fur more prominently, and shows up as a small birthmark in his human-form. 

-He’s embarrassed to admit or acknowledge its existence. 

-Casimir tends to walk on all fours, but standing up, reaches ~7 feet tall, and his steps are very long; He can close distances very quickly that way, which makes for a more terrifying thought. 

-According to Casimir, the deity that cursed him planned for him to act as “prey”. However, in the main story, and according to the tales of the Beast of Gevaudan, it seems more of a “predator” type of attack. So…I headcanon that Casimir was meant to be a prey animal, but his anger, grief, and frustration twisted the curse’s effects until he was lashing out at himself and others for years. 

-When confronted with your nature, a little bit of that aggression dissipates more and more, thanks to your self-preservation and the House’s refusal to let Casimir hurt you. Not that he would want to, anyway. 

-For the first few times after that first transformation, Casimir hides away until the curse passes. It’s hard to find him, as he moves to the more unkempt parts of the House to withdraw from you, not wanting to be seen, or risking hurting you. 

-However, as time goes on, you’ll find glimpses of the beast lurking around corners and walls. Not threateningly, but….Almost hesitant. Scared. He recoils from your attempts to reach out to him, and sticks to sniffing your hand and growling, before slouching away to sulk. 

-It takes a while for him to finally approach you…Looming over you in wait. Waiting for what? He doesn’t know, and neither do you. So, with caution but kindness, you talk to him, keeping your physical touch away. You assure him you’re not going to hurt him, you’re here to help, just like you always have. 

-It takes even longer for him to sit next to you, to sniff your hair and hand, keeping the sharp horns away, his teeth hidden and claws curled. The untransformed Casimir knows you, and knows your intentions. This beast does not, and so it’s building another relationship from the ground. Just….With a little more danger. Neither of you want to be hurt. 

-When you tell Casimir your progress, he’s…Baffled? Flabbergasted? Shocked, horrified- You get the idea. 

-”You’ve been doing what??” 

-He is not aware of any of this, and can only imagine glimpses of you if he really tries. When he transforms, it is out of his control, and his mind. 

-When the initial emotions simmer down, he’s not sure what to feel, or what to think. For 200 years, more than that, he’s been a threat and a danger to everything and everyone around him. And now, what you’re telling him is….He’s changing. For the better? It sounds impossible. 

-But, somehow, you’re a master of the impossible. And so it shouldn’t be that much of a surprise. 

-He makes another vow, and takes the effort, too, to make the House a better place. It’s the least he can do, but he wants to do something. 

-He still has many thoughts and feelings about his curse, too complex to get into. It sends him into bouts of silence sometimes, as he ponders over a project or task. He does what he can to make you feel safe and comfortable, and reminds you to please…Be careful. 

-And you do. The beast seems to understand that as well, still shy of your touch and apprehensive at best. But you can’t help but smile a little at the progress, seeing Casimir sleeping in a block of sunlight through a window. 

-There are things you might not ever understand, or see for yourself. But you can at least attest to one thing: 

-One step at a time, things are getting better for them both.

Renovating is pretty exhausting so of course a lot of work means a lot of rest. There's many ways to do so such as sitting down with some tea and snacks, reading together or to each other, cuddling or watching movies; either way you spend this time together quite often 

speaking of movies, movie and show nights! At first at least there might be more of Casimir nerding over the technology than watching though /hj. Someone just please show this man the Beauty and the Beast. Or Transformers. First one is self explanatory, second one I just think would be funny. Also maybe Howls moving castle. That might be super far fetched but I think he'd like studio Ghibli. 

Bonding with Mimi! Casimir really wants to gain back her trust and having you be there calms him Mimi. Though it's better than it used to be already there's still some tension between them and you're definitely helping. You also get to spend time with both of them so that's definitely a win!

You cannot convince me this man doesn't go into hour long rants and rambles about his interests after you asked one simple question. He can get pretty lost in it once he started and tends to get a little embarrassed about it once he realises. Cmon, he was all by himself for multiple centuries, he's not used to people being around. You encouraging him to go on, asking questions or referencing things he told you later on means a lot to him. 

Of course it goes both ways, he absolutely loves listening to you talk, especially about things you're passionate about and will try to bring it up again later or engage in your hobbies with you together. He genuinely wants to know about you and your interests, for one he hasn't really heard from/about anyone else for a very long time (not counting cats and buildings) and also you're, of course he wants to hear everything you have to say

Okay okay okay this one's my personal favourite: hide and seek.​ I actually might write a whole own thing about that at some point soon because it'd just be so much fun!​ The house is quite big with super many hiding spaces. Now it's not something he'd suggest and yeah it might take some force persuasion to convince him but if you ask him really really nicely hell probably say yes, or just annoy him till he agrees (even more effective if Rainier joins). Alternatively just hide somewhere so he has no choice but to search (you definitely gave him a heart attack the first time you did that)

Casimir is old fashioned (I mean- how wouldn't he be) so your regular date nights are pretty classic. Usually it's a romantic dinner (brought to you by The House TM), sometimes it's dancing (like that one paid scene(? Is there one? Or am I mixing something up? Idk); he was taught to be a gentleman and he's gonna use that /hj

Bringing him modern things from shopping trips. It started off by you bringing him something he was curious about after you mentioned it and quickly developed into a habit of you bringing him trinkets whenever you're out. His curiosity makes you much more aware of how interesting even little thins can be and soon turned to you coming back from trips out the house with a bag of things like toys, gadgets and other fun things from the dollar store or similar. You then spend the day looking at what you brought, how it works and so on. Imagine spending the day with Casimir trying out a bunch of toys you bought or found with your old stuff (the type for children, don't think wrong here)

adding onto this because I love the idea of doing fun childish things with him (you'd have to be the one to initiate them though, potentially ‘force’ him, but he secretly enjoys it). Silly sleepovers with pillow forts, movies, teeny magazines (I want to just hand this guy a stack of these teen magazines and see what happens so bad), and snacks! 

related a bit to the one above but spa days! He definitely needs some more self care. I do kinda think he likes stuff as skincare and and used to have a routine (nobility and stuff) he likely had to cut short or even drop it completely with the house's hostility. But now you're there and not only are there so many products your world has for this, it's also much more fun together, leading to entire days planned only for spa and wellness activities (like doing each other's nails, I have a little theory connected to Casimir and acrylic nails but that's all I'm saying on that)

I feel like I have to say something to end this smoothly sooo Casimir supremacy!!

Is anyone still interested in Monster Manor? I still love it a lot, and I just had the idea to make my first Love Interest OC!

It's very much in the works, but I'll show my progress so far!

The idea is a ghost LI that would occupy the uppermost floors/attic of the House, and would come around after Rainier is a resident. Once Rainier realizes there are four table settings, and that leaves the room for another. (I know there was hints at a third LI but I'm driving the creative boat at the moment since Dorian has walked the plank.)

I'd like to bring in my Victorian/Edwardian interests, and have this LI be haunting the floors since the 1800s. So a little after Casimir, maybe she climbed in through the window or snuck her way in, idk-

I suppose she would need to be a monster, though- I'll also figure that out too! But for now, I'm not sure which design I like best.

Wanted to make him look more dragonborn, also gave him two outfits: first is the armor he wore when he was working for the magister (i have a concept of him (name: grimsbane) under my fictif tag as well), second is just a casual outfit.

Oh I’m so glad you and plant anon agree with me on my vn red flags/icks! Like I said a lot of the red flags and icks I tend to have are really subjective so I get that some people will love what I kinda hate but it’s nice to see I’m not alone on stuff :)

Also, is it bad that I kinda wanna hear more about Heir to Love and Lie? I’ve never played any Fictif games but this sounds like some hot gossip I want in on, tell me more about how bad of a game it is lol. From an outsider perspective I think it’s kinda funny how it’s like “Yes the Fictif app has a bunch of great and fun stories with a ton of good content- NO DONT LOOK AT THAT STORY ITS HIDEOUS-” I know the stories are probably made by different teams so it makes sense that there’s differences in quality but still

Last Legacy and now Roadkill have peaked my interest since I’ve seen you talk about it here (I had never heard of Fictif at all before) but I’ve been a little hesitant to give the games a try because they’re mobile games and frankly I’m not the biggest fan of playing vn style games on mobile, I used to all the time but the grinding for stuff like story keys just to get content that may or may not be good kinda grated on me so I stopped and haven’t looked back. But idk maybe I’ll decide to give Fictif a chance when I have the time, your love for the games are definitely convincing me to give it a shot :)

Ok so i’ll start by saying that you should def play roadkil, last legacy and monster manor on the fictif app, WITH A CRACKED VERSION! If you have an Android play with a mod app and you won’t have to pay for the special choice ( you still have to wait for keys tho but it’s manageable) I personally use Modyolo. With the mod there is no grind, you just wait for your keys to regenerate to play the chapters.

Why you should play last legacy ? Last legacy is a really well written fantasy romance made by queers, for queers with good queers characters. The narrative is limited but realize that fans of this game haven’t had update in 2 years and we all still love this, that how good the game is for us. What I really appreciate is the approach of the romance, the well-written worldbuilding, and the interesting plot and evolution of the li throughout the story + bonus points the art is really pretty + the music is awesome

This is an otome where you feel the passion of the dev because of all the details and care they put into the characters. It sad that we’ll never get an ending but just because it’s my second favorite otome after Our life i really recomand.

Now another wonderful story on the app is Monster manor. It’s a reviseted tale of beauty and the beast where mc is a reparator that come helps the resident of the manor to fix the place and also fix their issue. Again it’s very well written and although you can get subtile subtext on romance this one is very axed on exploring the character's mental health and their story of self-improvement. ALSO IT HAS A CANON TRANS DRAGON CREATURE WHO’S THE SWEETEST I LOVE HIM HE’S SO WHOLESOME-

Monster Manor is one of those stories that leave a very specific feeling in you. I don't know how to describe it but it just has a lot of wholesomeness and character going troughs sad but relatable problems that you see get better and makes you happy that they're healing.

THE BROMANCE OF THIS GAME IS SO GOOD I swear

Objectively: This game feels like a wild mess of fan fiction with random scenario after scenario and cliché horror moments, but oh man the ambiance. The best trio of Li, they are close friends, and in the 3 routes the group is just such an amazing friend group. The characters are lovely and it's like reading a bad yet good wattpad fanfic : well written ? no ? But the ideas ? good !

Like i said, this game is based on cliché of horror movies but also on american culture ( which I learned trought this game lol ). It has longer chapters than the other two games (except Tess but Tess got hit by the sexism of a greedy company that wants shirtless men in dating sim to attract gurls ) BUT they all shine.

Poe's route had me ugly crying in the end, Howie's ending is AWFULL but I had a great time, Tess is actually a superbe F Li even whith the dev having to cut her short and ruin her ending, she shine very britgh in the other routes and her own ( for ex she's the one with a shotgun and the one that won you and howie a teddy bear )

I really need more people to play roadkill because it's an underated banger in my opinion and it has many great scenes in the mess of scenarios ( the intro is really good for ecxemple )

Like, when I say not all game needs to be well written? That's what I'm talking about, this one is a hot delightful mess

Go For It, Casimir!

Finch and Casimir have renovated a ghastly greenhouse, and the house has transformed it into a beautiful garden patio.>>

I'm back again with some more fluff for Finch and Casimir. Look at these dorks! Look at them. Cherish them.

"Oh, wow...!" Finch lifted their hands to let creeping vines tangle over their fingers as it made its home within the windows and walls. Flower buds trembled and blossomed, and turned towards Finch as they booped each one.

"Magical flowers? Magic flowers! Casimir, are you seeing this?"

Casimir had been watching with a soft smile, captured in his thoughts. All of the flowers had grown around Finch like a halo; A burst of color and gentleness. Finch beamed, and the flowers sang.

"They surely enjoy your presence, here." Casimir noted, glancing around at the fresh sunlight and foliage. Finch stepped away from the flowers, pulling their hair from the stems and leaves to jump next to Casimir with a laugh.

"Maybe a little too much..." They shooed away reaching vines, but lifted their arms with a big stretch and yawn.

"All this work has me beat! I might fall asleep right here." They dropped their arms and pivoted away.

That made Casimir's heart lurch a little. If he wasn't quick enough, he'd lose the moment! His neck tightened with anxiety as he cleared his throat.

"Before you go, ah..." He caught them in the middle of turning, now glancing back at him expectantly.

"I want to thank you, Finch. Your hard work does not go unnoticed, nor unappreciated. In fact, I believe this may be the best room you've redone. It suits you. These flowers...They match your beauty."

He felt his heart twitch at that line. Everything he had practiced was falling apart at the seams, and Casimir strung together the remnants of his poetry. Finch fully turned, blinking slowly, their expression hard to read, but they weren't running, nor staring in aghast horror.

It made Casimir continue.

"And Finch, I...I think you're...I-I mean I am quite certain that I..."

I love you!

Finch tilted their head, the corners of their lips twitching up into a smile.

"I am...What?" They asked gently. Their smile made Casimir dizzy. His breathing stopped for a moment.

I love you!! "You are beautiful. You're lovely."

Close enough. "And you are...You're turning red. You're sweating. Are you alright?

Finch jumped at that, their hand flying to their forehead. A red poppy giggled and fluttered away, and Finch grinned.

"Wow, is it hot in here...?" They laughed nervously, but couldn't keep the smile away. "Ah..."

"I apologize! I should not have said that, I have stepped out of line between us, I-"

Finch quickly grabbed his shoulders. "No! No, you didn't. I'm just surprised, is all. You sound so genuine."

It was Casimir's turn to blink, as his eyes widened. "Why would I not be genuine??"

Finch's gaze parted, down towards the sparkling tile floor, the reflections of plants moving above. They pursed their lips, settling into something unwanted in their thoughts.

"I've...heard romantic things, sweet things. But...It wasn't always genuine. They didn't always mean it." Finch stepped back, brushing their hand along a wooden table's corner. "I shut it out. I stopped listening, until I wasn't called those nice things anymore. And it's over, don't worry, but now... Now you're calling me beautiful, but...It sounds like you mean it."

They trailed off, voice coming to a quiet realization. "Someone actually means it."

Their smile was sheepish, a linger of anxiety in their eyes. Vulnerability. They met Casimir's shocked expression with a small shrug. "I just don't know what to say."

Casimir inhaled slowly, taking in their words with a heavy heart. "If I may, I have not much left but my words. I will say it for all the times that left you upset. And I will be truthful and genuine with every word."

Casimir gazed over Finch with a tender adoration in his eyes, a look that made Finch's heart beat rapidly in their heart.

They swallowed as Casimir held out a hand, silently praying their hand wasn't sweaty as they placed it in his gentle grasp.

"Finch, you have made this life of mine into a dream. I couldn't ever take you for granted, you mean so much to me. As a friend, as a partner."

Finch felt a heavy branch prod their back before they could start to sway; Their head was swimming with revelations, feelings.

Casimir squeezed their hand, and Finch felt fire in his palm to theirs.

"And I thought it was easy to make you blush." They replied breathlessly.

Casimir's face had turned red at that, but that didn't stop him from lifting Finch's hand and delicately kissing their knuckles.

Finch jumped a little as bright red poppies and peonies sprung to life around their head. "Casimir-"

Before Casimir could open his mouth, Finch suddenly leaned over, closing the distance between them with a kiss on the lips. It was Casimir's turn to blush all shades of red.

He stammered for a bit, all of his suave deflating by the second. Finally, his eyes fluttered shut, and he memorized the feeling of a kiss, of Finch's kiss before they pulled away.

Finch smiled down at their hands, still held together, and squeezed. "Wanna get dinner?"

Casimir felt like his heart was about to explode, and he was supposed to think about food???

He rubbed at his burning face, wanting to hide completely when Finch giggled.

"Come on, let's get something to eat. Let's have a date."

It would be a lie to say he didn't want to feel the warmth of Finch's hand, and he felt like he could fly when they squeezed his palm.

"A date..."

Casimir looked up as something fell onto his shoulder; A bright pink peony flower with a curly stem. A light bulb went off in his head, but Casimir had to quickly gather his courage to step next to Finch, reaching for their shoulder.

"Finch, wait."

He leaned forward as they turned, giving them another kiss on the lips, as his hand moved up to brush their hair from their ear, gently tucking strands behind, and sliding the flower in place.

He grinned as he pulled away, and Finch's eyes were wider than plates as they reached up to touch their ear. They were stunned.

"You look even more radiant, if I may say."

Finch covered their face with their hands, flustered. Casimir laughed, and lead the way with his own blush dusted across his cheeks.

“We want Arcana content on the arcana app!!” “No I don’t want them adding a bunch of bullshit to it!!!” “Arcana content should be on the app it was made for!!!!!”

All you Arcana fans, I mean this in the best possible way, but shut the fuck up.

I mean it. Shut the fuck up.

You guys have nothing to worry about— and I say this as an Arcana fan myself. Yeah, maybe it sucks that any new “content” is gonna be on Dorian. It does, I get it— and I’m on your side, I think Arcana content should be on the original app that was made for it.

But that doesn’t fucking matter. You know why? Because at the end of the day, the storyline is over.

Each of the love interests have either learned their lessons in their respective upright routes, or they’ve gotten worse and doubled down in their reversed routes with the apprentice. They’ve each told us they love us. We’ve been with them every step of the way.

They’ve had their stories, their happy endings, and their sad ones.

You know who hasn’t had those endings?

Sage Lesath. Anisa Anka. Felix Iskander Escellun. Casimir de Gévaudan. Rainier. Fin Derodine. The MCs of those stories.

There are Fictif storylines that are still unfinished, and none of those endings are going to be on Fictif. None of those endings are going to be with those beginnings. We don’t even know if they’re GETTING endings at all.

The Arcana has had its time and its storylines, and while it’s sad, I think it’s time we laid the canon content to rest. That doesn’t mean the fandom has to die, it doesn’t mean we have to stop talking about it or making content. But the story is over.

Their laughs carried up high into the air, waving a hand down for Casimir to grasp.

"You're both too sweet! I didn't expect anyone to remember!"

Minding his strength, Rainier adjusted Finch and set them back to their feet, brushing their wrinkled clothes. Casimir shared a similar expression; Fondness, and quiet love.

"How could we forget? We've been planning for months, and it's felt even longer to keep the secret."

"Now the barn-cat is out! So let's go celebrate already!"

Happy birthday to my beloved OC, and here's to another year of shenanigans happening within my head, and sometimes in writing.

Back on my Monster Manor obsession. I really wanna make a fan made comic with an OC ... or a "heavily inspired" game that finishes the story and re-creates some of the options in the original. There are 2 problems with that:

1. Accidental copyright infringement and other intellectual property laws being broken
