You have been working here at the Fairchild Estate for a couple days now. The days have been slow but awfully busy when it comes down to tutoring a young girl of the name Flora. Flora is a smart girl for her age as well as a very happy and energetic child. She is hyper but sweet as she can be. It’s clear that she has taken a liking to you ever since you stepped foot here. You are young, just in your early 20s so that means for Flora that you can be flexible too. You have to be honest that Flora’s games can be tiring but also very enjoyable. Usually women your age that you’ve seen around aren’t very energetic. You on the other hand loved having a little hassle with Flora and her playful games. You’ve been greeted with flashlight tag, dolls, paintings, and bedtimes stories. As well as a lovely tea party. Your days are filled with excitement and laughter but also the upcoming feeling of tiredness. You learned a lot about Flora during your short stay there at the home of the Fairchild’s, learning that her parents had sadly passed away was the hardest. It hurts to here that she herself through her angelic eyes that she had to witness such a tragedy that included both of the lives of her parents. She also questioned if you were gonna leave like everyone else that has been here to tutor her. You made it your promise that you weren’t gonna leave. No matter what you weren’t going to leave her. She is just a child who wants love, as well as a good education. You are here to make that happen and that’s your one goal.

However, there indeed is another child. A child who is older than Flora. A child that isn’t so energetic himself and doesn’t wish to hold any conversation with you. Miles is his name. You can tell that Miles isn’t tame…by tame you meant in the ways of mind. You hate to say it but he is unstable. You can see and tell that he himself is having some of his own troubles. You felt bad for him. You wanted to get to know him other than the fact that he may be depressed but he just won’t let you. That’s okay. You made yourself realize that Miles isn’t like his little sister. It’s gonna take time and patience for him to warm up to you. Flora is young and innocent while Miles has a more deeper understanding with other things.

“Good morning, Flora.” You greeted the little girl as she ran up to you with a toothy grin on her face and hugged you tightly.

“Miss Y/n!” Flora exclaimed. You chuckled at her as you hugged her back. “What are you cooking?” She asked as she took notice of the breakfast.

“Pancakes, bacon, and eggs.” You answered. Flora let out a sound of excitement, licking her lips. “Why don’t you get washed up for breakfast? It’s almost done!” You suggested with a smile. Flora nodded her head as she hurried up the stairs. You put some food on each plate and carried it over to the dining table. You heard footsteps come down the stairs and looked up to see Miles and Flora. You smiled. “Good morning Miles.” You said with a sweet smile. Miles just stared at you and sat down on the couch Flora followed suits happily as she began eating. “Good morning Mrs. Grose. I made breakfast.” You spoke when Mrs. Grose entered the room. Mrs. Grose is an elderly woman, sweet as she can be. You figure that she liked you, enjoying your help around the house. “Oh how kind of you, Y/n.” She spoke with a smile. “Shall I favor you with some tea?” she asked. You nodded with a smile as you followed her to the kitchen.

“Miss Y/n,” Flora called out from the dining room.

“Yes Flora?”

“Can we skip lessons today?” She asked with her bottom lip poking out and with puppy dog eyes. You put your hands on your hips.

“Why should we?” You asked.

“Because me and Miles wants to teach you how to ride horses!” Flora said eagerly. You let out a small laugh.

“Is that so? Fine, we can skip lessons today.” You shook your head with a sigh. Flora exclaimed happily. After everyone had finished eating their breakfast, you made eye contact with Miles who was looking at you with those dark eyes of his. You sent a gentle smile his way. “Are you done with your plate?” You questioned. Miles nodded silently.

“Why? Do you want me to put it away?” Miles asked stubbornly. Miles was raised with priority. His life handed to him a silver plater. You raised a brow at him.

“I didn’t tell you no such thing now did I?” You asked with that same smile. “Go get ready, Miles.” You said as you grabbed his plate and Flora’s. “I’ll be waiting down stairs.” You added as you walked to the sink. You heard Miles let out a huff and the sound of footsteps walking up the stairs. You sighed as you hurriedly washed the dishes.

I think if I was the tutor in the turning I’d leave the first time some freaky shit happened. Fuck those kids, fuck those ghosts, and fuck that promise I made to one of said kids. GENUINLY Womp to the fucking Womp to that kid.

Little kids in horror movies really add that special touch because flora was also terrorizing kate in like. Such a way she came off even more innocent not just to kate and mrs grose but also to the viewer like the first few times i watched this movie i didnt even notice it but she says "Bad dreams?" In the SAME TONE miles does

I want Mike to have superpowers in canon so badly.

Mike having abilities like One or El (interdimensional telepathy and portal-opening) is imperative to a fic I wanna write—a fic where the worlds of Stranger Things, Ghostbusters: Afterlife, and The Turning collide.

I imagine the fic to be set after ST Season 5, when One has been defeated with the combined supernatural abilities of El, Will, and Mike, and the war against the Upside Down is over. Now the Party – Mike, Will, Lucas, Dustin, El, and Max, plus Erica and Holly – are hanging out somewhere near the Surfer Boy Pizza Van.

Mike and Holly happen to be in the van alone at the start of the story. Holly knows about Mike's powers, so she asks if he could find alternate versions of himself who also have sisters. After some mental gymnastics to justify this request as practice and definitely not spying, Mike blindfolds himself.

In his left eye, Mike finds Trevor chatting with Phoebe in the Ecto-1. Lucky and Podcast are in the van, too, for a short road trip near Summerville. Miles and Flora are in Mike's right eye, sitting at the pond and watching the carps swim.

Mike relays all of this to Holly, but he's only able to describe their current actions. Holly wants to know their names, prompting Mike to get a 'closer look' (i.e. reading their minds a bit).

He accidentally Vecna's them. Trevor and Miles' most significant memories gush into Mike's head. He finds out that Miles is trapped in a haunted mansion and Trevor is a Ghostbuster. This information, combined with Mike's own desire to help, led to gates opening between these three worlds.

During Miles' headache, an earthquake occurs. It was the quaking of a hole in the fabric of space-time tearing open. Once the earthquake subsides, he and Flora go to investigate. They find the Ecto-1 on their driveway.

The van had spiraled out of control, and Trevor's headache made the struggle to stay in the right lane difficult. Just before the Ghostbusters could crash into a wall, a gate to the Fairchild manor opened.

When Mike finally yanks his blindfold off, he finds the rest of the Party surrounding him because there was an earthquake centered around the van and Holly cried for help. He hears everyone questions of what happened and a familiar icky squelchy sound from above; a gate had opened in the ceiling of the Surfer Boy Pizza van, leading into the Ecto-1.

"Someone in another world is in trouble, and I want to help them, so let's go!" says Mike (more suitable line pending) before going through VanGate.

I'll figure out the next part of the plot in another post.

The Turning Review!

Im so confused on the ending of the turning.

Like, is kate going crazy? Are they making her believe shes going crazy? Is quint real? Is Mrs grose really dead??

At the end miles smiles like he knows something and he tells flora to keep quiet that they were talking about kate being crazy is he manipulating her? Becuase we all know miles plays games with kate.

Maybe im crazy, but also think was miles possessed by quint? Becuase of that scene in the bedroom where he kisses her cheek (or maybe goes in for a kiss??) And hes she looks good on a horse but hey idk just a thought

Didnt she imagine them escaping?? Becuase if she did is mrs grose still dead? We don't see her again

I even kinda wish we got more coverage on why miles got expelled? Well we know why he got expelled but i wish we got like a scene where we see it or smthn idk but what does he know about kate that we dont know? Did he put quint up to driving miss jessel away? Did mrs grose kill him? Were not sure

Do they even exist or is kate imagining it all due to a genetic disorder

Even when she gets the letters from her mother its like what the fuck because 1. How did her mother know what was going on 2. Did her mother know about miss jessel? 3. she said she was seeing things, was it the same things kate was seeing in the house? 4. What?

Maybe im misreading it or maybe its suppose dto be mysterious but i want to know more about miles relationship with quint because he got miles into alcohol and all and maybe miles was drunk and thats why he played the games on kate?? Even when they play flashlight tag who was she following? Was is the spirit of miss jessel or maybe quint even the horse samsung, was it the horse that killed quint?

I have so many questions, but ill stop my rant now

👫 Miles and Flora

Send a 👫and I’ll write four headcanons I have about our muse’s relationship

Miles is usually too embarrassed to sing in front of anyone, but he sings around Flora all the time. He especially sings to her when she's had a nightmare. Songs they're mom sang to them, songs from Flora's favorite Disney movies, songs that are popular on the radio when they're driving anywhere.

While Miles keeps both their horses in a stable and makes sure they're taken care of, he hardly ever rides anymore because of Quint. The only time he rides anymore is when Flora asks him to ride with her, and only because he can hardly ever tell her 'no'.

Even though he gets his GED so he didn't have to go to high school anymore, Miles made sure Flora stayed in school. He did his best to help her with her homework, and when he couldn't he found tutors for her.

Miles actually really likes having his nails painted (especially when he's a teenager), so whenever Flora's doing her nails, he asks her to paint his, too.
