*WARNING this video contains expletives. I really struggled with this WOD.* Did the Hero WOD Tommy Mac this morning with @ben10green @crossfit_southeast_witham. This is a barbell workout that involves a lot of burpees and the weight on the bar stays the same through out. Weight for ladies is 35kg and mens is 52.5kg. The workout is as follows; 2 rounds for time of: 💪12 burpees 💪12 thrusters 💪 12 burpees 💪12 power snatches 💪12 burpees 💪12 push jerks 💪12 burpees 💪 12 hang squat cleans 💪 12 burpees 💪 12 overhead squats I couldn't upload the whole video as the first round alone took me about 18 mins 🙈🙈🙈 I took 40 mins to complete the whole WOD. But I tried my best to retain my form and that is hard towards the end of an intense workout. I did this workout fasted to burn more fat. I will be practicing my overhead squats on a regular basis and I really want to develop my upper body strength further. One of my biggest pet peeves in the gym is watching people use bad form in the gym. My biggest pet peeve is watching so-called certified personal trainers train with bad form. I don't care where you got your certification from whether it be ISSA, NASM, ACE, AFPA, AFAA etc...I see "Trainers" showing clients how to perform the DB Side Laterals wrong and it burns my ass when done incorrectly. This video is the RIGHT way to perform this exercise. You lift the weight, don't let the weight lift you. This is an isolation movement and if you're swinging the weight up, leading with the DB instead of with the Lateral Head of the Deltoid then you're teaching, coaching it wrong. My rant is done but I have talked to some Trainers about this in the past and they continue to disrespect the industry and their client. #thepeoplestrainer #TEAMAWIP #formfirst #awipfam
