That Mid-Weak Repeat Chindian Meal - Done I made this today because... cravings... Both @beingbengt & I are very partial to Chindian food. Infact my mamma @neelam.diddee loves hakka noodles so much that she always orders it wherever we go & it's become a family joke! We're still not eating out or ordering in so I made this for our dinner tonight 1. That Oyster Soy Chilli Chicken I marinated chicken pieces in a mix of white vinegar, green chilli sauce, @chingssecret shezwan sauce, @kikkoman_europe soya sauce, @leekumkee.india oyster sauce & cornflour In a very hot wok I tempered a mix of oil & toasted sesame seed oil with lots of spring onions, garlic chives, garlic & a red onion. I cooked the marinated chicken in this till done along with assorted bell peppers & mushrooms. I added some chicken stock, fresh coriander & simmered till the gravy thickened 2. Those Veggie Loaded Hakka Noodles I boiled egg noodles in salted water till just undercooked In a very hot wok I tempered oil with lots of garlic & spring onions. I threw in shredded cabbage, green bell peppers & tossed. I added green chilli sauce, vinegar, soya sauce, oyster sauce & tossed in the noodles till done I haven't met & physically hugged my parents since February & I'm missing them even though we video call every evening. This was such a soul satisfying meal that I served in these beautiful bowls gifted to me by my mamma. I was thinking of her so much whilst tucking into this meal.
