2. Understanding Disk Space Usage
Before freeing up space, it’s essential to understand how your disk space is being used. Navigate to Settings > System > Storage to view a detailed breakdown. This will help identify which areas need attention.
3. Utilizing Built-in Windows Tools
Disk Cleanup
Windows 10 features a built-in Disk Cleanup tool designed to delete unnecessary files. To access it:
Type “Disk Cleanup” in the search bar and select the app.
Choose the drive you want to clean.
Select the file types to delete (e.g., temporary files, system cache).
Storage Sense
Storage Sense automates disk cleanup. To enable it:
Go to Settings > System > Storage.
Toggle on Storage Sense and configure settings to regularly delete temporary files.
4. Uninstalling Unnecessary Applications
Unused applications take up significant space. To uninstall them:
Go to Settings > Apps > Apps & features.
Review the list and uninstall non-essential programs.
5. Managing Temporary and Cached Files
Temporary files can quickly accumulate and consume disk space. Use Disk Cleanup or third-party tools to regularly clear these files. Browsers also store cached data, which can be cleared from the browser settings.
6. Cleaning Up System Files
Windows Update Cleanup
Old update files can take up substantial space. Disk Cleanup includes an option to remove these:
Open Disk Cleanup and select Clean up system files.
Choose Windows Update Cleanup.
System Restore and Shadow Copies
System Restore points and shadow copies can consume significant disk space. Manage these by:
Typing “System Protection” in the search bar.
Selecting the drive and clicking Configure.
Adjusting the Max Usage slider to limit space usage.
7. Using Third-Party Disk Cleaners
Third-party tools like CCleaner provide more comprehensive cleaning options. They can remove junk files, clean registries, and manage startup programs to free up space.
8. Handling Large Files and Folders
Identifying and managing large files is crucial. Use tools like WinDirStat to find large files and folders. Consider moving non-essential large files to external storage.
9. Moving Data to External Storage
Free up space by moving data such as videos, photos, and documents to external hard drives or USB sticks. Ensure you regularly back up important data to avoid loss.
10. Using Cloud Storage Solutions
Cloud storage services like OneDrive, Google Drive, and Dropbox offer substantial space. Move infrequently accessed files to the cloud to save local disk space.
11. Conclusion
Regular maintenance and mindful storage practices can keep your Windows 10 system running efficiently. Use the tips and tools outlined in this guide to manage and optimize your disk space effectively.

Just Maybe
Tumblr media
Prompt:
18) You have a blind date planned with a member of your bias group. When that member is running late, your bias steps in.
Pairing: Stray Kids Bang Chan x Reader
Genre: Fluff
Song rec as you read: That's Okay - D.O
.
You arrived fifteen minutes early because you always do.
Something could be said for the small comfort of not having to rush into what would be an unknown situation.
You had picked the Italian restaurant you were currently sitting in for much of the same reason. Sure, the food wasn't exactly fantastic, but you had been there before, and it was casual enough to make it seem like you weren't trying too hard (while being nice enough to show you were taking this date seriously.)
When you arrived, the waiter had led you to a quaint table near the window, clearly meant for a couple who intended to talk past dinner and into dessert. Fifteen minutes ago, you had thought it could be that kind of night as well.
Hyunjin had agreed to meet you at 7PM. By his reasoning, he didn't have much of a schedule that day, so he should have no issue making it work. Admittedly, you didn't know what exactly his schedule entailed, seeing as how your best friend, Min had set most of this up. Hyunjin was a mystery to you, just a name attached to a phone number.
At 7:03, you smoothed your napkin against your thigh and tried to remind yourself: It's only three minutes. People are late. It's not personal.
By 7:12, you had read the menu three times without actually digesting a single word of it.
By 7:23, you got the first text.
Hyunjin: running late. parking is a nightmare! 10 min out
Ten minutes was nothing. You had waited twenty already.
The waiter came by yet again, always polite, not pushy. "Can I get you something other than water?"
You looked down at the glass that already had condensation rings staining the table, a silent signal of how long you had sat. Trying to keep your emotions in check, you blinked up before addressing him.
Pasting on a smile that you knew would not appear natural you managed. "I'm alright for now. Thank you."
By 7:41, you were all but crushed. The quiet sting of embarrassment threatened to cause your tear ducts to mutiny. You couldn't even be angry, you were just...deflated.
For a moment, you found yourself cursing your own optimism. You hadn't really minded the idea of a blind date. After all, how were you expected to randomly stumble upon your soul mate in the wild? Something about this all had its appeal and to see it blow up in your face...
It's not like you felt either way about Hyunjin. You'd never met him. Min had set you up, swearing the two of you would click instantly.
The first step to that, of course, was to have him actually show up.
Tapping your phone on the table, you contemplated whether you actually wanted to engage in texting him again or just call it a night.
"Excuse me," a voice broke through the spiral of your thoughts. "Is this seat taken?"
Your breath caught before your mind could actually register the person in front of you. It wasn't Hyunjin.
Quickly flipping through your mental filing cabinet of people you had met, you landed on an answer.
His name was Chan.
You had only met once or twice before. He was another of Min's friends. While Hyunjin had generally remained elusive, Chan often showed up for any housewarming or party your friend put together. He seemed kind, reliable, someone she probably should have thought of before sidling you with a "free spirit."
And now he was here?
Tilting your head, words failed you as you took him in. He was dressed relatively casually, in a t-shirt with long sleeves underneath. He wore light washed jeans and sneakers. His outfit was low effort and casual, giving his handsome features the ability to really shine through.
You blinked. "I-I'm waiting for someone?"
You hadn't meant for the end of that sentence to tilt up at the end into a question, but you supposed it was still valid. You didn't really know if you were waiting for someone anymore.
"Hyunjin?" he smiled knowingly, sliding into the seat before you.
"How did you know?" you asked, trying to swallow down the embarrassment even further.
Chan held up his phone, his smile growing into a grimace. "Min texted me. She said you were here...and I quote..." He glanced to his phone screen. ""They're being too polite to leave, but they sound like they want to throw themselves into traffic.""
Your eyes grew wide as you looked from his phone to your own. Min had definitely sent you several texts to check in, but you hadn't expected for her to call in back up.
You couldn't help it as a rasp of a laugh escaped from your lips. "She's not wrong. I was actually about to leave, and rage order some delivery to get to my apartment before I did."
Chan lifted his brows. "I completely understand if you'd like to go home to just decompress and be alone...however, I do have another offer."
Narrowing your eyes, you waited for him to continue.
"You can eat your feelings in the comfort of your own home OR join me for something that is not this place."
Looking around you, you loosened a sigh. You found it amusing that Chan had been sitting here less than five minutes and could already pick up just how badly you wanted to leave. A simple restaurant that had been your go to for specific situations was now tainted. Even if it wasn't a terribly big deal, you wouldn't help but think of it as "that place you got stood up at" going forward.
"What did you have in mind?"
Chan's grin filled his face again. "7/11, sidewalk seating, and if you play your cards right, I may even spring for banana milk."
You considered him, then the cold breadbasket in front of you, and lastly your phone.
Ding.
Hyunjin: ugh. something came up. mind if we reschedule? i'm soooo sorry
You stared at the message for a moment, your mind blank with irritation. Tapping the lock button, you slipped your phone into your bag.
Standing, you nodded. "Lead the way."
.
The summer air wrapped around you like a warm scarf as you walked side-by-side with Chan, the glow of storefronts and late-night coffee shops painting his face in a rainbow of color. The city was buzzing with activity as people spilled out of restaurants and laughter floated above the hum of traffic. The sights and sounds were oddly comforting, making you feel like you were a small part of a living thing.
Side eying you without saying a word, Chan reached down. Intertwining your fingers, he smiled to himself before looking up again.
It was now your turn to look at the hand that now encapsulated yours.
Well...alright.
You tried to remind yourself to remain cool. He wasn't as much of a stranger as Hyunjin would have been, and you wouldn't have been surprised for him to hold your hand had he been here. What about this was so different?
"So did Min dial you in as my back up date?"
"Like she has a litany of men on speed dial just for the occasion?"
You felt your cheeks grow hot.
"She was complaining to me about how Hyunjin flaked," Chan smiled, still not looking at you directly. "And I happened to be in the area."
"You decided to show up all on your own?"
The resulting squeeze to your hand was enough of an answer.
A comfortable silence descended on the two of you, but it wasn't long until you reached your destination.
"After you," Chan hummed, holding the convenience store door open.
Inside, the store was fluorescent and familiar. Bright packaging, pastel drinks, and a small, refrigerated section with perfectly symmetrical food trays stacked and ready for the taking. Unsure of where to start, you idled toward the cooler, hovering in front of your choices.
Chan reached in immediately, grabbing two sets of sushi without hesitation.
"You've done this before," you smirked.
"Oh, absolutely," he nodded. "This is date number...seven, I think?"
You opened your mouth before closing it and trying again. "Seven?"
It was now his turn to smile. "With myself."
You laughed, throwing caution to the wind and grabbing a tray at random. You followed Chan to the register where he added two cans of peach sparkling water and a pack of peanut snacks "for dessert."
Trailing him outside, Chan led you to a quiet side street tucked beside a bakery that had closed for the night. There was a little patch of grass, a low concrete step, and a view of the bustling street adjacent to you. Chan sat first, offering his hand to help lower you down. Plopping unceremoniously beside him, you watched as he carefully spread out the food as if on a picnic.
He cracked open your drink and passed it over. "Sorry, I know it's not necessarily what you had planned for the night."
You tapped your drink lightly against his. "I should be the one apologizing to you."
"For what?" he asked. "Coming with me to do exactly what I was planning to do anyhow?"
You rolled your eyes. "For making you feel bad enough to include me."
"No," he smiled softly, his eyes lingering on you before he finally looked down to his sushi. "I'm happy you gave me the chance"
The first bite was better than it had any right to be. The rice was somehow still slightly warm, the salmon buttery, and the soy sauce packets not overly salty. You both ate in silence for a moment, heads bent like kids in a cafeteria until Chan glanced back up at you.
"You don't have to answer this," he started. "But were you actually excited about the date with Hyunjin? Or was this a "sure, why not" situation?"
You chewed slowly, considering. "Honestly? Somewhere in between. I wasn't expecting any immediate fireworks, but I thought...maybe it'd be nice."
Chan nodded. "I've agreed to dates for the promise of less."
"Yeah?" you asked, furrowing your brows.
"You see," he said quietly. "The problem with having low self-esteem is that you agree to almost anyone who propositions you. I once agreed to a date where the person showed up to the cafe with their mom. They were in their late 20's."
"I'm sorry, what?" you gasped, trying not to choke on your food.
He shook his head. "I panic ate an entire croissant just to avoid eye contact."
"No, no, no, not that," you chuckled. "But yes, that does suck. What do you mean you have low self-esteem? You're gorgeous."
Lifting a brow he gave you an incredulous look. "Self-esteem isn't always measured by your outward appearance."
You chewed on your lip, unsure if your comment was shallow or not.
Chan heaved a sigh. "Not to get existential or self-deprecating, but I have a lot of thoughts on myself, how I interact with others, and the way I generally conduct my life. It's a lot to reconcile when facing something that seems as easy as dating."
You nodded, beginning to understand. "You're scared to show your true self to someone, just to be turned away."
"Ding, ding, ding," he chuckled. "We have a winner."
Taking a deep breath to bolster your confidence, you reached over and set your hand on his knee. Giving a small squeeze, you chanced direct eye contact. "Winner in more ways than one."
Chan's smile was slow, but it eventually took over before he looked away, back at his food.
There was a pause, but just like any before, still pleasant.
Chan set his tray aside and leaned back on his hands, straightening his legs. "If I continue being honest, will I scare you away?"
You huffed a laugh before setting your food aside as well. Something in his tone had shifted, so you weren't exactly sure what was coming.
"I take silence as a yes," he nodded before it turned into a head shake. "But only in this one situation. Silence is never consent-"
"Chan!" you blurted. "While appreciated that you recognize that, please continue."
He glanced up to the sky, seeming to search the stars for the words he hadn't yet said.
"I've kind of been hoping I would run into you again," he said quietly. "After Min's housewarming...I couldn't get you out of my head. You were wearing this green sweater and making silly little jokes to calm her down about her lack of a turn out."
"You remembered what I had on?" you asked, mouth quirking into a half smile.
Chan shrugged. "It was a nice sweater."
The world seemed to narrow a little, not in a claustrophobic way, but in that soft, quiet tunnel you get when something real is about to start. You reached out, stealing a piece of sushi from his tray mostly to ground yourself.
"You know," you said, chewing. "This could have been a really crappy night."
Chan nodded, turning his attentions from the sky back to you. "Could've been for both of us."
"But now..." you trailed off.
He tilted his head. "Now?"
You met his gaze and smiled slowly. "Now it feels like a real date."
Chan watched you for a beat before leaning forward just enough so that you could meet him halfway if you wanted to.
Oh, and you wanted to.
The kiss was gentle, unhurried. It wasn't showy or dramatic, just a moment of warmth pressed into your mouth, like something shared in a secret. His hand grazed your knee, tentative but not unsure, and when he pulled back, he stayed close enough that you could feel his breath against your cheek.
"Okay," he whispered. "Maybe I owe Hyunjin a thank you."
You laughed against his shoulder. "Maybe I owe him one too."
The night stretched out before you, wide and open and impossibly full. Somewhere between being stood up and a convenience store picnic, something wonderful had happened. It wasn't what you expected, but maybe, it was what you'd been waiting for all along.

You settled into the booth, sinking into the plush cushion. There was no disputing: it was much nicer to be inside, away from the light rain falling steadily outside. The day hadn’t started that way, but city weather was misleading like that.
10 hours ago your optimism was much higher, especially seeing the golden beauty of the morning sun from the bathroom window. Everything about the day seemed MUCH more promising earlier. From there it proved a slow plod towards disappointment as the cloud cover increased hour by hour.
You should learn to be more practical, the reminder coming as you stared into the depths of your drink, elbows braced on the table. As you chased a cherry bobbing on the surface of the drink with the tip of the straw tucked between your lips your mood dipped.
In spite of the day, you DID have something to look forward to–something that came with the opening of the bar door. Footsteps crossed the threshold and shook off droplets of rain. Hair shook next, followed by shoulders as the voices around you lulled into a brief silence.
There were probably enough people looking at whomever came through the door, but you didn’t. That was the last thing you felt like doing. Your head stayed down just enough, focusing on the reddish hued depths of the glass contents.
The bell over the door chimed faintly when it shut behind the newcomer. Finally you looked up, taking in the figure there.
And his eyes found you right away. The smile came with a flash of teeth. Damp bangs splayed over a blemish free forehead until a backwards flick cleared it all. It was such a quick action but still looked effortless.
Graceful as hell. Familiar, too. Deep down you knew–you expected this. There was something to be said about pretending you didn't, though...
As the man closed the distance, coming your way with a purposeful stride, you straightened in the booth seat with shoulders pressed into the seat back in unconscious preparation.
“I can’t believe we’re actually doing this..” You finally said, even IF your belly was riddled with butterflies. Every one aflutter from the laser focused stare of your roommate.
That word couldn’t contain what he was to you. What he’d become. It was the tip of the iceberg. He’s more than just a body paying the other half of the rent. Very much not like you pictured for yourself even a year ago.
Certainly not when you’d signed that signature line at the end of the too-many paged contract.
Instead of feeling anxiety knitted with dreadful tension seeing Jungkook, you felt warm. Relaxed. Weak and wobbly deep inside. A welcome change you still hadn’t quite gotten used to.
“I can’t believe how good you look.” Jungkook’s grin widened as he stood at the table. His shape did a great job of blocking your view of everything, and all he did was be himself–broad and handsome. If not a little…cocky still.
You’d forgotten how much better Jungkook looked wet. It probably surpassed his visuals dry and donning a fitted pair of jeans. Or like now, in tailored slacks—the newest edition to his wardrobe thanks to a new job in a local office downtown.
Jungkook hadn’t trended towards dressing business casual (or beyond) before, but that’s what a well paying job could do to a stubborn mind. The other side effect was more personal in nature:  you, struggling even more to keep eyes off him.
He didn’t complain so much anymore. Apparently messing with your focus and monopolizing your attention proved a fair trade for the agony this new forced fashion for 40 hours of his week.
Jungkook stared down at you, his grin uneven. You couldn’t suss out why he stood there so long. Back to the excitement of telling yourself you'd never be the type to 'pretend' stuff--like stranger meetups.
And yet...
Eventually the silence piled on, bringing your gaze up until you met those beautiful, dark eyes. Black as night at the center, in this modest lighting, but with a sparkle just visible. Jungkook widened his shoulders and shot you a wink.
“Of all the bars in all the city–” He grinned.
You pulled the glass closer, taking another mouthful and almost gagging from the overwhelming alcohol taste dominating everything. The ‘Nightly Special’ section of the menu had been hard to really read, not that you’d sat down with patience or focus. You saw the word cherry. A flavor you liked and it would do but now came the debt: the slow crawl of realization that this was why you’d scaled back drinking to a rare-if-ever type of thing.
Wearing a scowl, you smacked your lips. Jungkook titled his head, brow arched.
“...What’s the poison?”
“A bellini.” You coughed into the back of your hand. “Don’t start. I needed it.”
Not a moment later you motioned to your right side, shifting enough, assuming Jungkook would have plenty of space. He didn’t bother shedding the long overcoat as he took the offer and settled in. Then slid even closer until your sides touched. You surmised that was exactly what he’d wanted based on his unabashed hum of pleasure.
“Seriously.” Jungkook started anew, voice lower and huskier. Hot breath tickled along your jaw as he nosed below that nearer ear. It was a most sensitive spot and one of his favorites since he found out what it did to you.
Points for his earnestness, even buried underneath a blatant desire. Jungkook didn’t hide his feelings. Especially now that you both agreed to pursue a serious relationship.
Gulping, you kept eyes trained on the Exit sign over the door and the red X, now faintly blinking.
“..Y/n.. No bullshit. You DO look good.” He murmured more softly. Silky heat grazed your lobe. His feigned pleading of this case had to be strictly for enjoyment. Anyone here would believe him from the jump. There wasn’t a shred of denial in you either. Your changed dynamic meant no more denial.
A moment later goosebumps rose and ran down your neck in a straight shot, heading for that nipple.
“Good.” You mimicked. Could you sound weaker? Your voice shivered like tree limbs battered by hurricane force wind. Jungkook had to have caught it. This was the kind of thing he lived to achieve.
If it wasn’t facing the entire place, you would be more than happy to free the whine stuck tight in your throat.
The next swallow of liquor went down easier, sending more fumes through your nostrils and right to your brain. This kind of thing happening was a risk, but you also knew it would help you relax.
Jungkook aligned against your side like a second skin helped just as much, if not more.
His touch always felt ‘right’. No one could replicate the way this man meshed with you. It wasn’t like you’d wanted anyone else to try, having become monogamous with Jungkook within the last few months.
No longer just roommates, you’d officially traded status up to lovers. Boyfriend and girlfriend. This relationship thing was nice actually owning the label. You hadn’t appreciated how much effort had gone into suppressing the acceptance or enjoyment.
“Yeah?” You stole a quick glimpse sideways to find Jungkook A LOT closer, and even cuter with his wrinkled nose. He nodded.
“100 percent.” His lids fell, stare unabashedly dreamy.
As you gave in and leaned into his side, Jungkook slid his nearer arm along the back of the booth, then draped it over your shoulders. When he pulled you close, you took a deep breath and had the bonus of another pleasing hint of his clean, fresh scent. Rain kissed, above all else.
“This whole...pretend to be strangers meeting at the bar... It's new to me. Want something to drink?” You asked, the bell over the door ringing when it opened, then closed again. You would be ashamed to admit you had no idea how much time slipped by tucked under Jungkook’s muscular arm.
It was like he’d moved a muscle either, more than happy to keep you close. For his effort, Jungkook was also acting a little too comfortable and touchy for strangers--unless he was just willing to be that bold if you hadn't known each other. He wasn't a very good actor...
“I’m good.” He replied.
A dimly lit pair of bodies passed, heading for the dance floor at the far end of the room. There, on the modest stage, a live band was finishing their setup. You weren’t a big fan of live music, but you knew who was..
..And he was sitting right next to you.
“Is it open mic night?” Jungkook watched the bodies pass, then spoke, words riddled with interest. If it involved a chance to sing or show off in public, he was down. VERY not how you were, but not a deal breaker.
You admired how it seemed Jungkook lacked a single particle of self consciousness in his whole body. He seemed to love putting on a show, especially if you were watching. Now that you understood better, it was a treat to see him showboating. Especially with purer motivations: less jealousy and revenge, more desire and pride driving him to draw your eyes.
It was hard to believe you ever found it unappealing. Those moments seemed like a lifetime ago. And almost…embarrassing if you tracked through them again. Now was much more comfortable and pleasing, so you tried to keep yourself here.
Jungkook loved attention and you loved when he sang. You’d call that a win-win normally, but tonight you weren’t quite in that place. There was a distant tension in your limbs and chest. The type you just wanted gone sooner rather than later.
“Looks like it. Not sure how I missed that. It’s going to get noisy soon. We should go..” You replied.
It was only getting later. With Jungkook to walk you home, skirting the rain outside for the few blocks between here and the apartment didn’t seem so daunting. After all, wasn’t that one of the reasons you’d texted him to meet you here?
Jungkook sighed. “Too bad. Haven’t gotten to sing for you in a while.” Disappointment bent Jungkook’s lips into an adorable pout. You didn’t need to look.
A huff punctuated his disappointment. You couldn’t begrudge him the joy of performing. He was born for it. For now he tempered things with a brief smile.
“Stop..” In spite of his tame reaction you gently prodded his side with one elbow, earning his grunt.
He squeezed your shoulders more firmly. “YOU stop. You know I’m ticklish there.”
“Are you?” You feigned surprise then squirmed when a few fingers wormed towards your armpit with an easy shift of his wrapped arm. You barely twisted out of reach.
“Alright..” You whined. He was just too determined and you weren’t that good tonight. Jungkook, ever relentless and you ever underestimating–a winning combination.
Seconds later he tugged you towards one end of the booth, inching his way out. On the move, he glanced towards the dancefloor. The figures you’d seen walk by were melting together as the first strains of a suave beat started, the guitar joining with a few plucked notes that became a full bodied song. One you hadn’t heard before, but it had your hips shifting faintly.
“Wanna?” Jungkook threw a grin back, along with his head, eyeing you. He was a good dancer. Comfortable in his body AND knew how to control every muscle. To move every bit of himself for maximum effect. The stakes were high: falling into that trap meant you’d overstay and burn through your remaining energy.
“A man of few words.” You teased. “Wanna….what?”
“Dance.” Jungkook’s eyes rolled as he answered wearily.
“My feet hurt.” The first of many excuses, by rote.
Except tonight the idea of swaying with this tight body pressed close, in the balmy dark wasn’t such an off putting suggestion. You already noted that pleasant fullness between the hips that said the ache wasn’t from a long day on your feet, or racing back and forth across the office.
It was more the gnawing hunger for Jungkook. Freeing all your true feelings by agreeing to be together officially made your visceral reactions more potent. And more frequent without the usual hurdles or walls to surpass. Every single twinge of need could flow freely.
A hint of warmth was already blooming in your folds. Jungkook’s eyes left yours and openly perused south, like he could see the thermal differences across your body. Like you were telling on yourself in ways you couldn’t begin to perceive.
“I’m sure they do, but dance with me.” This time his smile was warmer. One palm rested in the small of your back, waiting for the word, to give that subtle pressure. To move you –and things– forward, to his desired destination: that shadowed dancefloor.
“Jungkook–”
“Just one song. I won’t sing, either.” THAT was a big give on his part. You snorted and Jungkook’s stare narrowed. “That’s a big deal. The kind that doesn’t come along very often, Y/n. Let's spin around for a song. One song.”
To pull the shimmering, doe eyed look from his arsenal was unfair. Rotten as hell and sneaky. Instead of maliciousness and deceit, you saw a flash of playfulness in those tawny depths, and further down, a roiling tension building.
Exactly like it was inside you. You grunted and twisted against his hold.
Once Jungkook was out of the booth and upright, he extended a hand again, palm up and waiting. Any reminding will or concern sank into the abyss seeing him towering over you like this. And wearing such a purposefully handsome grin. You knew he reserved that for particularly challenging situations requiring careful negotiation.
“I won’t even take off my coat.”
That added another level of enticement. No coat off meant he’d be a bit too warm and unlikely to want to work up a good sweat here. It was a pretty good guarantee he’d stick to his word and you’d be out the door after.
Your hand slid into his and Jungkook pulled you to your feet. He didn’t check as he backed towards the dancefloor and the music. Jungkook didn’t need to. Luck and grace were on his side.
He was a smooth bastard who never seemed to check where he might be headed–like he always knew. Almost like he was that magical and ‘good’. Every move, clandestine and serendipitous. Born blessed and knowing exactly the hand he was dealt with his latent charm.
“No dirty dancing.” You warned, cheeks rushing with warmth. You fell against his front as he chuckled but it faded into the music overlapping as you stopped at the edge of the dance floor. One arm slid around the small of your back, pulling your hips snug against his own. The thick material of his overcoat was just roughened enough it tickled your suddenly overly sensitive flesh, but you didn’t mind.
You never minded with Jungkook.
He managed a dimpled grin as he replied “I promise.”
--------------------------------------------------------
You couldn't keep your eyes off Jungkook as you both waited at the curb. He looked so good, blissfully unaware with his stare focused on the toes of his dress shoes. Like everything else exposed to the rain, they carried a shine in the street light.
It could be worse, you conceded silently. At least the heaviest rain had passed, leaving a fairly light mist.
The world looked almost plastic, the way the water left a glossy layer over everything that wasn’t moving. Even the streets were slick, black coated in reflected wetness that drew every hint of light and turned it into a pearlescence.
It was beautiful, but a chill was building. Enough to rue leaving your coat at work and falling into the illusion of the bar’s warmth. You were paying for it now.
Jungkook glanced over at you, tucking his phone into his coat pocket. When he scoffed, it left his lips in a curling puff of hot air.
“What?”
“What are you looking at?”
Jungkook looked down again. You did too, noticing the shiny circle of light reflected on the tips of both dress shoes.
“These aren’t too bad looking. …Hurt like hell after 8 plus hours walking around in these things, but they LOOKED good today.”
“Yeah.” You agreed. “Hopefully the rain won’t ruin them.”
“Not like I’m going through puddles.” He sounded disappointed, again. There was such a pureness about it that you couldn’t help a grin. When you snorted, he snorted.
When you stepped closer, Jungkook looked over. His arm moved and he opened that side of the coat, like a big fabric wing. Offering warmth and pure darkness. But most of all–the promise of comfort. Escape from that increasing chill as the build of moisture on your naked skin only heightened awareness.
You ducked into the available space offered with a mumbled ‘Thanks’. His arm came down and he kept you there. Inside his coat it was Jungkook scented heaven: comfortable temperature with pure Jungkook scent bathing the entire space.
Neither of you spoke as you stood, mutually staring out to the street and vague shapes of cars, end to end, on the opposite side of the road. It was impressive that the only empty space was right in front of the bar doors, in the pickup and drop off zone.
Finally you broke the silence.
“How long did you say the Lyft would take?”
Jungkook took that as an excuse to do what he’d just done a second ago: take his phone out and check it. The app was still open on his screen. You couldn’t tell much from his quick peek before he pocketed the phone again.
“15 minutes.”
“Why so long..” You sighed. “It’s not getting warmer.”
“You want my coat? I’m good without it. The dancing warmed me up.” Whether or not he was being nice and lying to alleviate any concern you might have for his comfort in favor of your own, you couldn’t be sure.
It was a quick debate in your mind, then you replied “No..I couldn’t.”
“You just said you were cold–” Jungkook began, confused.
“Not exactly. I just said it wasn’t getting any warmer.”
“Right. Big difference.” Jungkook’s chest rumbled. A car drove by, the tires splashing through a few errant puddles in the road. Water hissed as it jetted away from the rubber rolling through, then the sound faded as the car disappeared into the distance.
“It just feels like that’s a little longer than normal.” You continued.
“It’s approaching peak hours, Y/n.”
You’d forgotten. This time of the week and night it WAS busier for Uber and Lyfts around town. Cabs fared no better, at least at this end of the city. Upon this revelation, you slumped against Jungkook again.
You dare not risk going back into that bar to keep warm. The band was really getting into it and you saw how much Jungkook was enjoying dancing with you. He wasn’t going to be able to control himself if he heard and saw the crowd that had started to filter in when you both slipped away from the dancefloor.
Onto the next concern. “What do we do until they get here, then?”
You only figured out why you weren’t getting an answer when you looked at Jungkook to find his stare on you. Surprisingly heavy and telling–he was…hungry looking. Your brows rose.
“Koo..” You began, adding a poke with one finger into the center of his chest, where it was indecently firm. He didn’t move an inch, except to turn into your prodding, head tilting down. Eyes fixing on your more intently.
“Hmm?” His other arm swung away from his body and he wrapped the other half of his coat around you, enfolding you in the two wide ‘wings’ of his coat’s inner lining. It was even warmer. The sensation was like a warm bath, except for the thrum of a heartbeat in that muscled chest pressing your own.
“What are you doing? You didn’t answer me.”
“I know.” He was silent again and you waited. Finally he continued. “I have an idea of what we could do. Plenty of time..”
Your brows didn’t lower just yet. You stared into Jungkook’s heated gaze, curious and mostly emotionally blank. At this point it was only pure curiosity driving you.
Jungkook’s stare shifted to the side and you followed it. He seemed to be looking towards the darkness between the building and an adjacent one next to it with only a narrow alley between the two brick structures.
“The..alley?” You ventured, earning a nod from him. You laughed this time, hearing how it rang out into the night, unbothered if anyone was around to hear it. You hadn’t seen or heard anyone for quite a while, until the car that drove by minutes before. “You're…kidding, right?”
Jungkook was back to staring in your eyes. Unsmiling, his lips still plump and inviting, especially parting a little to reply.
“Yes. It’s private.”
“It’s outside, in public.”
“It’s dark. No one will see.”
“What—I..”
You took another look at the darkness between the two tall shapes, then blinked and tried to pull back. Jungkook’s arms stayed wrapped. His hands clasped each other, level with the middle of your back. He brought you close again.
“Plenty of time. And it’s dark. Come on. We’ll be quick.” Jungkook’s voice was low. Almost conspiratorial, each syllable rolling off his lips with wisps of steam. To think he was almost burning up, from the inside out, for you?
That was going to end you. Both of you might not make it to the apartment if this kept up.
“Quick?” You whined. While confusion gripped your mind, your body was a different story. It knew the pressure of his fingertips feeling along your skin. Cradling your hips, then bringing you along as he backed away from the curb. You staggered to keep up with each retreating step.
He stopped at the entrance of the alley mouth. Once again Jungkook moved like he was ever sure, never sparing a single glance back to check. Like he’d done heading for the dancefloor.
It seemed far-fetched, but you wondered if Jungkook had done some kind of recon, in all the times you both walked by here, while you talked and he listened. Or appeared to. He hadn’t spoken and that meant he had more than enough time to notice things like this alley. It did something to you deep inside to imagine him thinking about this for that long, waiting for this moment, then finally executing it.
The thin blouse fabric did nothing to combat the chill when Jungkook turned you, then walked your back right into the brick wall. He followed, chest pressing and touched his forehead to yours.
His palms pressed the wall as he let the coat hang, keeping a cocoon of warmth around your body. Underneath the ache, you were grateful, if not a little surprised. Jungkook’s belly rolled into you and your thighs slacked wider, feeling menacingly weak.
“Kiss me, Y/n.” Even though he asked you, he made the move, joining with your lips to create the perfect seal. His tongue slipped past your lips, writhing a little as your hips did the same.
He returned your moan with his own, sending heat over your cheeks with his exhale. Jungkook’s head cocked the other way and he kissed you again, hips grinding a little harder. That firmness over your mound wasn’t apartment keys.
On every level you knew that shape–most especially at your center, the apex of both thighs, where the most heat and the most pulsation was building. You needed what it promised and swore you’d die when Jungkook spiraled himself slower and harder. Although your eyes rolled, you managed to keep them open, barely watching the other building’s exterior wall across the way.
You were trapped but loving it with sensation washing over you. All nerves craved Jungkook. Soaked up his touch. His scent. His sounds. But you found yourself listening for footsteps or tires slicing through the waterlogged potholes out in the street.
The fear of being caught was a good deterrent normally, but tonight the danger clamped you so tight there wasn’t room for sensibility or much thought.
When this kiss broke, your head went back, touching the wall. The scored brick surface scraped along your scalp but you were almost numb to it as he worked down your neck, to the top blouse button.
A single twist of his fingers popped it open and he kissed exposed skin.
Two more buttons came free and kisses spilled down further. He wasn’t neat about it, leaving wet shapes on the skin he found, inch by inch.
Jungkook returned to the front of your neck and you could feel the way he smiled as he spoke to the long line running from the base to just below your chin. Uncharacteristically quiet.
For someone who didn’t care about public stuff as a standard, it was delightfully curious how he was suddenly so interested in vocal discretion. But you knew: this was part of his game—the mental trickery that he employed now and then.
Another thing he’d discovered that you enjoyed far more than you probably should.
Wiggling, your palms braced his chest. Jungkook continued to work on your neck, adding a nibble, tugging skin and kissing after it slipped free. Delight stabbed right into your pussy each time. You loved that Jungkook knew exactly what he was doing.
“Koo..” A shudder rattled your entire body.
Jungkook’s head stayed low as he kissed the shape of a breast through the top. Although it wasn’t skin contact, your nipple responded the same, tightening at the suggestion and memory of wet suction. Just a little ghosted pressure sent tight heat through your folds.
“Hmm?” His kisses came back up the other side of your neck and stopped under your jaw. Damp strands of his hair stuck against your skin, the lingering scent of his shampoo rising to your senses.
“What is it, baby? Don’t like it?” When he wanted to, Jungkook could tease even better with words than fingers or lips.
“You know I do..” You grunted. “You’re…serious about this?”
Jungkook nodded. Several of his fingers curled against the dark brick bracing your back. Unlike you, his face showed no sign that he minded the cold or discomfort of brick.
Red bits crumbled under his dragging nails, tumbling down the wall when one hand clenched to a decent sized fist.
“Touch me, Y/n. Just for a little bit. Let’s have some fun… Keep warm.” His nose slipped by your cheek again as he hummed
You whined, but your hand moved on its own, slipping down from his chest. Fingers brushed the button at his waist. When they tugged, Jungkook’s hips chased, rutting into you. The button popped open easily enough. You shoved that hand down into the hot darkness, palm shamelessly full of Jungkook’s girthy, hard cock.
Jungkook’s head lolled backwards and the fingers on his other hand trembled, then splayed flatter. It was like he was trying to hold onto the wall AND sanity for dear life. That thrilled you enough to loosen a mewl.
“Like this?” You gasped, burying your face against his neck. The tight lines of muscle shifted as he nodded but otherwise stayed as still as he could. Occasionally his pelvis ticked into your touch.
Another growl exploded after a moment, when the base of your palm brushed against the underside of his tip.
“Y/n..” He hissed. Hot breath wafted across your scalp as Jungkook tucked nose and lips onto the dampened chaos there.
“Fuck..feels so good.. Please.” The building earnesty at the end of his statement made you weak.
You groped. It wasn’t long, standing there against the wall, that the tide turned inside you. Chill melted away and a roaring heat took over, passing over every inch of your skin.
Your fingers circled the thick center of that cock that belonged to you–as far as you were concerned.
And Jungkook seemed to share that sentiment, kissing your part with a low moan. More hip rolls pushed him firmer into the cradle of your palm. The you from hours ago would never believe your future self if you’d try to warn that you’d be here. Doing this. In the alley outside a favorite local spot.
Soon it was slippery as the precum seeping from Jungkook’s tip slid along your wrist with each stroke. He pushed particularly hard every few pumps. Everything was frictionless and gooey, and you didn’t want to stop, but your mouth watered at the desire to pull your palm out and give a long lick to taste.
You found your own belly tight and your thighs shook as you finally gave in and moaned in response. Jungkook’s profile turned and he moved down, letting his mouth rest at the shell of your ear.
Still, his hips undulated against you. Every nudge had your pussy aching more and more.
“God I want you..”
Your blood boiled. Whatever was building inside was about to spill over. Either from your lips or your pussy–it was a neck and neck race. Words were bottle necked behind your clamped lips and slick the same when you hitched a knee and brought that calf around the back of Jungkook’s thigh.
His chest rumbled with a laugh. It creaked at the end, with another low growl. He drew your earlobe between his lips and nibbled, then sucked. Your eyes went heavy. You clamped around nothing, dying at how empty you felt, even if your hand was overflowing with pulsing, silky flesh.
Even the sound of laughter somewhere beyond the mouth of the alley didn’t register much now. It was just you, panting into the balmy blackness of Jungkook’s coat lining. Sucking in his scent, mouthfuls at a time, and whining every time he fucked your tightening grip.
The way his cock slid through your grasp, you knew it’d sound so wet if you were back at the apartment, with him splayed on the bed, tongues twisting along each other and moans rising in the dimly lit space.
You could almost recall the faint creak of the bed–no doubt it’d happen with every body roll. Jungkook’s fantastic ass leaving the bed as he fucked up into your hand. Or maybe your mouth, head kicked back and arms splayed wide, fisting pillows or sheets, bare chested, nipples glossy from your lips.
Your own tingling between his fingers as he tugged. Groaned. Begged for a breast over his mouth so he could eat you alive.
But the reality brought you back as a car sped by, tires hissing as they rolled through puddles just across the way. You didn’t look up, unphased.
“Y/n..” Jungkook gasped, then drew in a breath, holding it. His chest puffed against yours. Your head came up.
“Hmm?” You could barely open your eyes, mound burning with an unholy ache. You swore the tip of your finger was on that large vein running straight up the underside of his cock. And it was full of blood, keeping that organ primed for whatever else it might need to fuck.
“I’m close, baby..” He grinned, the shine from the nearby street lights flashing across his teeth.
You nodded, then raised your chin. “Kiss me..” Your turn to demand. Wasn’t Jungkook always telling you he liked it when you were a little greedy and demanding? He wasn’t shy in telling you how he felt you could do that kind of thing a little more.
The plump, sweet lines of Jungkook’s mouth connected to yours as he dropped his head down again, aligning his face perfectly to yours. As you kissed again, even deeper than before, your hand sped up, squeezing him tighter. Almost strangling his shaft. He whimpered and gave a few hard pumps. Suddenly he was shaking.
He broke the kiss quickly. The energy was right there at the crest, filling him to the brim–even the ends of his bangs shivering.
You loved that his eyes were screwed shut so tight. Whatever height he was at, the fall was going to be glorious. You recognized it from all those times he’d been inside you, ready to blow.
Jungkook’s tongue lashed across his lips, then they fell open wider. His throat flexed as it forced out another whine–higher pitched. Desperate.
“Don’t stop..” You hadn’t planned to, laying the side of your face against his chest. Inside the galloping thud of his heart was so big. So alive. Like a wild stallion racing across the plain.
One thing about him: that wild, untamed way about this man was something you hoped he held onto forever. Even if you’d domesticated him just enough to keep him by your side.
Jungkook’s hips jerked a handful of times. Your name slipped from his lips in a confused sigh, then warmth wetness spurted along your forearm and ran down. Along your palm and fingers. Down along his shaft.
By the time it was over, there was no denying: there’d be an amazing, undeniable wet spot at the front of his pants.
And so be it–he’d done it enough times to YOU. Basically he was owed this, if you looked at it the right way.
Jungkook’s tight body relaxed against you, pinning your hand between his groin and yours. For a moment it didn’t really matter.
When a few droplets splashed onto the top of your head, bringing a stark coldness, your eyes fluttered open. You shrugged a little against Jungkook and finally his head came back up. He was staring into your eyes, but you could see he was long gone for the moment.
“You’re a bad girl..” A lopsided, fucked out grin painted his face.
Your brows lowered and you scoffed. If you’d been stronger you’d have pushed him back a little and swatted that chest. Wake him from his dopey state for that little dig. Instead you snorted, head tilting carefully to the side. It was enough effort to ignore the roughness of the brick wall rumpling your hair.
You arched a brow.
“You like bad girls. At least that’s what I heard..”
Jungkook tucked a kiss just under the apple of your cheek, then he leaned away enough to push his hand down and lay it over yours. Fingers laced with each coated digit as if he didn’t care at all. That was hot in a whole different way–enough to remind you how unsatiated you still felt.
He brought your hand back out and barely glanced before letting it fall, then he backed up a few steps, into a slice of headlight sweeping across the alley mouth as another car passed by. He also didn’t seem to care about that.
With a flippant toss of his bangs, Jungkook grinned again.
That couldn’t just be the rain shining all over his face and neck. There wasn’t anyone in the world who looked so good roughed up by a quickie–nevermind the nagging specifics of what KIND of quickie it could be.
Jungkook tugged the zipper back up in a quick motion, then redid the button.
You leaned upright, stepping away from the wall too. Just by the way your hair fell, you knew it was a good mess, but kept yourself from feeling and ‘fixing’. Instead you watch Jungkook. And he looked you in the eyes now, tugging his coat back evenly over both shoulders and smoothing the lapels.
“Our ride should be here..” To be so casual–if it wasn’t for the cheshire smile you’d have kicked his shin. Or grabbed a half brick laying nearby and lobbed it hard for the space between his perfect brows.
But there wasn’t shame from having done this with him. Instead, when Jungkook pulled you close, it was another rush of arousal. Unquenched desire. Gnawing pain that centered right between your thighs.
Jungkook’s open palm slid across your mound and a pleased thrum bubbled up.
“You’re so warm, Y/n. I like how daring you are. Is that my influence or have you just been sitting on this and saving it for when we agreed to get serious?”
“Koo–” You began, groping for his wrist. You held so hard he stopped completely for a moment. Even though he glowered down here in the alley, you knew it wasn’t anger or annoyance. It was the same arousal you felt. No doubt in your mind.
“Y/n.” He parroted your scolding tone, wearing the hottest smirk you’d ever seen from him. And that was saying A LOT. He’d managed MANY hot smirks in the time you’d known him.
Your grip pulsed and your eyes softened.  “What about me?” You tugged faintly, lower lip jutting a little.
“Mmmnn… I’ll take care of you when we get home. I promise. That you did this…Y/n I can’t tell you what it does to me.”
“I can. It’s all over my wrist and hand.” You chuckled, nodding down at your tacky palm, then tucking it along your side.
Jungkook snickered.
“Doesn’t mean I’m done. A couple minutes until the Lyft gets here. Won’t be a long drive home. That’s enough time to get my second wind.”
“You know we COULD walk and save the money. Someone told me it’s peak hours.”
“Right, but then we’d lose the time off our feet. Time that I have plans on occupying.”
“In the Lyft?”
His scandalousness knew no bounds. But you also knew he had limits.
Jungkook shrugged, behind a cheeky smirk. “Not what we did here.”
“Thank god..” You sighed, eyes rolling. “I was starting to worry..”
After looking you over, then himself, Jungkook turned. Using your grip on him, he pulled you along to the alley mouth and paused to lean out. He glanced left then right, and you did the same from over one shoulder. It felt like the safest place–just in case.
It was insane to worry that you’d come out to an audience and applause. Or even giggling questions and a cop with a ticket book, ready to give you a public indecency ticket. All the same, relief had you a little light headed.
Common sense and anxiety were back as expected, along with the creeping cold. Now the sweat on your skin was working against you–with the help of the still dropping evening temperature.
“Maybe a little heavy petting…” Jungkook finished his thought. Your bug eyed star met his back as he stepped out completely. You followed, keeping up decently.
You hadn’t actually had sex but it was impressive how he made your legs feel like rubber. That didn’t bode well for what your condition would be back at the apartment, in a few hours. Or tomorrow morning.
“Jungkook.. You can’t do that kind of thing in a Lyft.”
“Why not?” He eyed you over one shoulder as you stopped at the curb, not quite where you’d both waited before. This time his skin was faintly steaming and it was downright magical. Along with his rakish smile, Jungkook made the moment feel like a fever sex dream that was about to get VERY good.
“I can’t believe—” You started to wind up until Jungkook brought your hand to his mouth and his lips pressed one knuckle.
“I wasn’t being serious, Y/n. I know better. But you’re in trouble when we get through that door.”
“Am I?”
“Mmmmnnn.” He kissed your middle knuckle firmer, then popped off and circled it with his tongue. You gulped and cursed softly. His stare hadn’t wavered the whole time he’d done those actions, with the very same intensity as if he was on top of you, pushing you towards an explosive high while you rapidly lost control of every limb.
You let your swoon turn into a list right into his side. Jungkook’s arm wrapped around your middle. He finally turned his focus towards the far end of the street, from where you’d expect the Lyft to be arriving. In the distance a car turned onto the road and headlights slowly made their way closer. A chime emanated from Jungkook’s coat pocket, but he didn’t move. Instead he smiled.
“There..We’re in business now. Start the clock, Y/n.” He said, as you stepped in front of him when the car coasted to a stop right in front of where you stood. Jungkook leaned around you and opened the door for you to climb in.
He followed quickly after and settled in, shutting the door. No sooner had he done that, then his palm found your thigh and rested on top. He was watching the driver and offered a muted smile, then a nod. The guy traded a few words, then turned back.
Jungkook’s eyes were fixed ahead, watching the driver. His palm climbed your thigh just a little. Something told you it wouldn’t be stopping there. You grabbed his wrist again, but not to stop him. Just like he’d done, you held on for the ride.
No matter where you went with him, the call of the bedroom would eventually come. Funny how it always sounded like Jungkook.
He spoke quietly, lips curling with a smile. Even so there was no way you didn’t hear it. You FELT it, with every syllable clawing at your center. Between sweat and remnant rain drops, you’d never be dry.
“Let’s go.”

24 to 33 items: $52.50
34 to 47 items: $75
For more than that, please tell me in private.
Yes, it's basically Suteflower's rate+50%, because I don't want to cut into her profits, I do have a regular job so I can't be as prolific, and I think it's fair to charge more because of my own experience in conversions :P That said, I am open to negotiations, especially from Global South simmers!
Also stuff like separating one painting with 30 presets into 3 paintings with 10 presets each do not count as extra items, that's just my way of optimizing items!
Extra notes:
No, sets don't count as a single item, don't even try :p
I'll try my absolute best to make all items recolorable, but for some items with complex textures it isn't always possible
For high poly alpha creators, please let me have a look at the items before I accept the commission or not - sometimes reducing the polycount for those items is just Not Worth It, but in my case it'll be kind of rare to refuse it
Kitchen counters, islands and cabinets are calculated by EVERY MODULAR PART instead of just a singular item because in practice they are multi-object conversions
Depending on the original creator, I'll share the conversion in private to avoid drama. You'll be free to share it with your friends and I'll be free to share with mine, though!
How to request:
Please send me a DM or reply to this post for the items you're interested, so I can check if the conversion is viable or not. If I accept it, please send me your Discord (if you have it; if not, we'll communicate by DMs anyway), so I can start sending you WIP pics and beta versions of the items, and also for discussion about edits, optimization, etc.
Pay me by Paypal or Ko-fi after I have a look at the TS4 items and we decided on a place to communicate. For Brazilian simmers, YES I DO ACCEPT PIX and we'll decide on the exchange rate in private!
I'll try to work on your request as soon as possible, and I'll inform you if anything happens or if I need to delay it a little.
My timezone is GMT-3, so please be patient!
I reserve the right to refuse a commission for any reason!
Also, my trades for clothing ARE STILL UP!

Research in the area of intermittent hypoxic training shows that you can go as low as 20% of your maximum effort, which is pretty low intensity, and still achieve the benefits that you get from high intensity exercise.
I’ve been researching hypoxic training for years, and I’m about to open an Altitude chamber up in the Bronx… Stay tuned for that!
In my research with the universities, we’ve been asking the question: can we use breath work to achieve a similar blood oxygen window that is seen in traditional altitude training? The answer is yes.
It’s optimal to keep your blood oxygen Between 80 and 90%, which is the Goldilocks’ zone, that’s not too much or too little, to achieve an adaptation in the body. If you have one of those little $15 pulse oximeter, that will do just fine.
Try this: set a stopwatch on your phone, and see if you can maintain an eight or 10 second exhale in conjunction with slow motion squats… Body weight or lightweight. The key is that you are doing between 15 and 20 repetitions to achieve the goal of performing lower intensity, lower impact exercise with slow breathing to achieve low stress, but high benefit, hypoxic training.
Want to learn my breathing method free? Please visit Hypoxix.itness where you can also find an Ab-ribbon to encourage deep core strength as you do your breathing movement!

Dev Log Mar 14 2025 - What's Taking so Long?
The Steam Deck version of Crescent Roll is moving along. The full game is playable, most of the audio issues have been resolved, but there's still the very slight teeny-tiny issue of WebKit being abysmally slow and we're sitting at only 10% CPU usage and 20FPS. Joy. We can fix it though. Without having to switch Web Browsers. I explained a bit before that the two options available for Web embedding are either Chromium/Chrome or WebKit/Safari, depending on your platform. Windows, Android and Xbox all have Chromium natively for you to use, Mac, IPhone, PlayStation, and Nintendo have WebKit, and then Linux and therefor Steam Deck don't have a standard one installed. We went with WebKit for Steam Deck because it's 200MB instead of 1.5GB and we have to bundle it with our game. When I said we can fix it, it's not that the actual game part of Crescent Roll isn't optimized - we actually did a pretty good job with all of the movement on-screen every frame - but there's some very specific things large surrounding it that we know are hurting performance considerably. Here a visualization of the call stack of a random average frame on the Main Menu from the Chrome profiling tools from my 10-year old i7-4770k machine:
Tumblr media
The grey "Task" bar is the full length of the execution. The brown-yellow underneath are what run during the actual "Animation Frame" portion, then the Blue sections are Crescent Roll code, and Green is Phaser rendering code. So in this frame, it took 4.16ms for the full frame, of which, Crescent Roll used about 1.8ms to do its stuff, then Phaser took 1.5ms to do the render, and the remaining ~0.8ms was system stuff like GC and doing memory transfers to the GPU. 60Hz refresh rate would mean that you need to render in under 16 ms, so about 4ms for Windows Desktop means that I could theoretically get somewhere around 240fps if I let it run free. Which I mean, is pretty respectable. Why doesn't it run well on the deck? Technically, it's running okay, just not displaying okay. The internal game logic does all physics and animation calculations with lag compensation in mind. So whether you're getting 500 fps or 5, the in-game logic always calculates 60Hz. So sorry - no cheesing stage times with slow-mo. One reason the display is having issues is that it's single threaded. Which means we're not doing _anything_ in parallel. All of the game logic, graphics rendering, controller polling, etc. are all being done every frame in order every single time. The kicker is that we actually built the game to be able to do those things in parallel, but Javascript just doesn't have the concept of Threads for you to be able to just run whatever you want however you want. You have to implement Web Workers, which is essentially a completely separate program that you can't share memory with, forcing you to use a message bus, making life difficult. But not impossible, and that's all that really matters. Just splitting it in 2 would already get us a 25% improvement, and we could very likely do better than that. The other, slightly more major performance sink is that green bar for the Phaser rendering - that can be entirely eliminated at this point to cut the time in half. We've been replacing it piece-by-piece with our own code, and now, we're really just leaning on it for WebGL pushes at this point. Unfortunately, since it's an engine, there's quite a bit of extra baggage that it likes to do that we can't just turn off, so we're essentially running a lot of the same types of graphics calculations twice. Phaser is a perfectly good engine - don't get me wrong, but it's just superfluous for our use at this point, specifically for us.
So yeah - it's going to take another week or so to get that 100% sorted out. There's a patch incoming Monday for full Controller support and couple of minor improvements. In the meantime, you can swap to the beta branch on Steam if you absolutely must try the Steam Deck version now. No complaints about the speed though - I warned you.

NixOS Rice Journey
I've always considered myself something of a minimalist when it comes to function over form and beauty within simplicity, but there comes a time in every Linux user's life when they must rice.
Now, firstly, I want to acknowledge that @kfithen's recent ricing journey is like, 50% of the reason I went through with this (\shrug/ he had a good idea, what can I say?!). To be fair, the other 50% is the control and understanding that a good rice gives a person over their computer and environment. I want to know how everything works, and I want to be the person who makes it all come together really well.
I'm not really the type for flashy things or eye-catching rices / eye-candy (I've been using only I3wm for almost the entirety of my Linux history), so I want my rice to take a more subtle, simple approach. I use NixOS because I want my system to stay with me forever and only do what it needs to. I want to spend years optimizing everything I use until my OS reaches its minimal state. In the same way, I want my rice to display the elegant simplicity of nothing extra. I want some basic utilities and visuals that look nice, but aren't distracting.
Most of all, I want my rice to embody my own spirit, or at least what I strive to be. I want to put work into making something that does everything it needs to without encroaching on others. Ideally, I will be able to look at this every day for the rest of my life and it will help me feel secure in myself.
All that said, here's what I've done so far:
Migrated from X11 to Wayland
Switched to greetd and tuigreet for my displaymanager
Switched from I3wm to Sway
Setup Waybar to tell me what I need to know
Setup a custom desktop wallpaper (as opposed to the default Xfce wallpaper or Sway grey)
Setup vifm to view and manage my filesystem
Setup ivm, foot, mpv, etc. to replace xfce-given programs
Upgraded from NixOS 23.11 to 24.05
Tumblr media
[Image ID: A (16:9) screenshot of my desktop. There are no windows open. The wallpaper prominently features a modified Nix logo in the center, taking up a little over a third of the vertical space. The logo has been modified so that each of the six "arms" corresponds to a stripe in the trans-nonbinary-flag; the top-right corresponds to the blue stripe at the top of the flag and the arms continue down the flag in a clockwise motion (i.e. blue, pink, yellow, white, purple, black). The background of the wallpaper is a dark grey that is light enough for the black arm to be visible. At the bottom of the screenshot is a Waybar status bar. On the left it shows (left to right) the sway workspaces, workspace name, and scratchpad; on the right it shows (left to right) the system volume (with wireplumber), the keyboard layout, the free space on the root partition, the memory and sway information of the system, the local ip address and wifi-connection strength of the system, the core usage of the system, and the current time and date of the system. The bar is styled with the default styles (for now). \End ID]
Tumblr media
[Image ID: Another desktop screenshot. This one shows three windows open with the Sway window manager/compositor. One window, containing my home-manager configuration open in neovim (using the slate colorscheme), is the result of a horizontal split and lies on the left half of the screen. The right half of the screen is vertically split into two windows. The top displays an unstyled vifm, and the bottom displays the output of neofetch. The inner gaps of the windows are set to 10 in sway and there are no other gap configurations. \End ID]
So far, I've been focusing mostly on getting my system working again (leaving xfce completely left a big mark on my system, previously I was using Thunar and a billion other things I took for granted). I'm going through another terminal-based-stuff craze so I'm trying to do more and more stuff through cli and tui applications (flameshot -> shotman, xfce-img-viewer -> imv, xfce-video-player -> mpv, thunar -> vifm).
The only thing I've done cosmetically so far is the background. I wanted to get something that wouldn't clutter my screen if I ever implement transparency, so I didn't want to do anything too complicated. (I'll admit, my first thoughts were Homestuck, Lackadaisy, trains, etc., but those were way to complicated (save for some of the Homestuck stuff, that was good, I just didn't super vibe with anything)). I'm really happy with how it turned out though (the Nix logo is great for customization)! I think the trans-nonbinary-flag colors look great here and fit the vibe sickly. Also, it's Pride Month, so how could I not have something queer on my screen all the time?!?!?! (Well, besides Linux, and NixOS especially, that's queer already, lol).
This post is getting a bit long, so I'll quit my yappin' and end it off with a little summary of what I hope to do next:
Get some sort of transparency (what's the use in having that beautiful wallpaper if you can't see it, plus the background has a low enough complexity that transparency will actually work well)
Set some standards for theming/colors and put them in place (right now my Waybar and vifm especially just don't look right) (this one is going to require a lot of work, but there are also a lot of people who do this amazingly; plus, I've got some colors to work with already :), I really like the the "slate" vim theme and those trans-nonbinary colors are a great start as well, particularly that purple!)
MOAR TERMINAL (maybe try again with steam-tui, risk discord-tui, and re-examine links/lynx) (plus this really helps with fileviewer in vifm)
Try out nix-flakes (I really need to figure out what these things are, they sound right up my alley!)
Setup backups of my system / get all my configs into nix (the few that aren't already there) (I have some suspicion that nix-flakes might help with this)
Learn more (there's always more to learn!)
Welp, that's about it for now! See ya :3

OPTIMIZING GRAPHIC SETTINGS FOR BETTER FPS IN WORLD OF WARCRAFT: THE WAR WITHIN
Tumblr media
Blizzard has invented and included FSR 2.0 in World of Warcraft, but sadly, it’s still a piece of crap that can’t optimize performance effectively. So, the time has come. Together with the community, all the reddits, my own experience, and the experience of others, I created the first guide for optimizing graphical settings for better FPS in World of Warcraft: The War Within. I’ll strive to show you:
Lighting settings — Which are not important but can increase FPS while you play Warcraft.
Settings you can disable — Without the pain in your eyes.
Potato mode — This was my own creation. It feels like a total buttpain, but you can still do top MDI DPS in raids, tank keys higher than 10+, and do other things.
When we’re talking about real graphic optimization for World of Warcraft on a low-end PC (a potato), we need to remember some unobvious tips that enable you to play Warcraft more comfortably. Optimization here isn’t about achieving 180 FPS on a 144 Hz monitor. It’s about getting more than 20 FPS and being able to play your rotation smoothly.
Stable Operating System — Go back to a stable version of Windows 10 or Windows 7. Windows 11 has Game Bars, recorders, and other services that can impact performance.
Transfer Discord — Move your Discord from your PC to your mobile phone. While it sounds weird, Discord eats not only your internet traffic (which we can’t optimize) but also consumes about 1 to 5 GB of RAM. The mobile version of Discord is much more optimized, so when you’re playing with your mates in raids or Mythic+, it’s better to reduce the load on your PC by using your phone for voice chat.
Remove Unnecessary Apps — Delete all unnecessary apps from your memory. This frees up resources for your game.
Graphics Card Settings — Go into your Nvidia GeForce Experience or Radeon Adrenalin software and set World of Warcraft to high priority. Limit the FPS to 24-27. The fewer FPS your game has to render from the start, the less load on your graphics card/processor, resulting in a more stable and smooth gameplay experience.
By following these small tricks, you can start your gameplay on much lower PC settings than expected. These routines help optimize your PC outside of Warcraft.
Step-by-Step Instructions for Optimizing Graphical Settings in World of Warcraft: The War Within
Zoom Out Command Hack — Use a console command to increase your maximum zoom-out capability by 37%. This helps you see projectiles and mechanics earlier.
Command: /console cameraDistanceMaxZoomFactor 2.6
How to Use: Press Enter in-game, paste the command, and press Enter again.
Camera Smoothness Command Hack — Use a console command to make camera zoom in and out smoother.
Command: /console cameraSmoothStyle 0
How to Use: Press Enter in-game, paste the command, and press Enter again.
Enable Fidelity FX Super Resolution (FSR) — Improve graphical clarity and detail without a noticeable reduction in FPS.
How to Enable: Go to Options > Graphics Settings > Resample Quality > Select Fidelity FX Super Resolution (FSR).
Console Command: /console gxAllowCachelessShader 0
How to Use: Press Enter in-game, paste the command, and press Enter again.
Adjust Particle Density — Increase the visibility of important game mechanics.
Setting: Ultra
How to Change: Options > Graphics > Particle Density > Set to Ultra.
Enable Projected Textures — Ensure all ground effects and spell hits are visible.
Setting: Enabled
How to Change: Options > Graphics > Projected Textures > Enable.
Increase Texture Resolution — Improve the clarity of visual cues for mechanics.
Setting: High
How to Change: Options > Graphics > Texture Resolution > Set to High.
Adjust Contrast — Enhance the distinction between different elements on screen.
Setting: 75-80%
How to Change: Options > Graphics > Contrast > Adjust to 75-80%.
Disable Non-Essential Settings — Lower settings that do not impact game mechanics to improve FPS.
Shadow Quality: Low
Liquid Detail: Low
SSAO: Disabled
Depth Effects: Disabled
Compute Effects: Disabled
Outline Mode: Disabled
View Distance: Low
Environmental Detail: Low
Ground Clutter: Low
For more fine-tuning, you should study the source with its detailed analyzes of the settings.
Good luck on the battlefields, exploration and conquest of Azeroth!

Gif tutorial by Alinelovelace
Alright, I'll be doing 3 things here today:
1.) Sharing the programs and websites I use
2.) Showing y'all a tutorial on how I make my gifs (this is my first tutorial, so if anything doesn't make sense, don't hesitate to message me, send me an ask, or comment on this post!!!!!)
3.) Sharing some resources by insanely talented gif makers (because I learned how to make gifs by following tutorials)
It's probably important(?) to mention that I use a Windows laptop
A.) Programs and websites:
ezgif: to make my gifs and do light editing
You can make gifs with video clips or screen caps. I'm not advanced enough to use screen caps, though they're supposed to make gorgeous gifs. I use ezgif to make the actual gif and edit the timing (which I end up having to tweak on Photoshop but...)
I also like ezgif because no watermarks!! I will do anything in my power to get rid of watermarks from websites and editing programs because they bother the hell out of me!
Photoshop: for the rest of my editing
This is where I recolor and add text.
A great alternative to Photoshop is Photopea, which I've used before I "obtained" Photoshop. It's FREE and online, so you don't have to download anything! I highly recommend it if you really want to get into gif coloring !!!!
Currently, I get my videos from torrents (bc I have a wide selection for my family to watch on our tv). But I used to use the Xbox game bar on Windows to record the clips I wanted on online streaming sites (unfortunately there's not a whole lot up and running anymore), then cropped and cut them. If anyone's interested in that, I could probably post a separate tutorial for that another time :)
There's also screen cap websites out there and YouTube. And probably dozens of other ways to get videos that I don't know about!
Video cutter
If you use full length episode videos and don't know how to crop them on your laptop (like me)
★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★
B.) Tutorial:
I'll be remaking the first gifset I ever made since I've learned A LOT since then! It should be pretty simple since there's only one set of subtitles.
Another time, I could do an edit tutorial like my That 70s Show ones. It's just taking the same concepts as this tutorial though, and playing around with colors, fonts, and font placement.
1.) Find your video/screen caps:
Since I no longer have the video from my first gifset, I just googled "Mulder throwing pencils season 10" on YouTube. After finding the video, I copied the link and pasted it into a YouTube to MP4 site ((this site has never given me popups or tried to get me to download something that isn't my video file)).
2.) If your downloaded video clip is short enough, you can just stick it into ezgif. If not, you may have to cut it using a website or a computer program.
Ezgif.com -> video to gif -> browse -> select your file -> upload video
3.) After clicking upload video, you should find yourself on this page:
Tumblr media
If you need to do any kind of video editing (cropping, rotating, resizing, etc) this is the place to do it! This is also where you make your gifs.
For the first gif, I don't need to change the start time, since I'm starting at the beginning of the video. 0 seconds is fine. But for the stop time, I'm going to play the video, pause where I want my first gif to end, then press "use current position" by end time.
I don't usually touch the settings for size, FPS, or method. If the gif doesn't have a lot of movement, I check "optimize for static background"
Then press convert to gif.
Here's the product I got. Since it's such a short clip, it moves a little fast for me.
Tumblr media
I'm going to click "speed" which is below the gif. You're brought to this page:
Tumblr media
This is completely up to you for speed, but I find that between 60% and 85% end up looking good. If you don't like it, just change the number in the box and press "change speed". I ended up with mine at 65% of current speed.
Tumblr media
A little better, right? The gifs that turn out best are 3 seconds to 10 seconds in my experience. This one is 1.5 seconds, so it's a little fast.
After that, rinse and repeat for every gif you need to make.
4.) Editing time! This is for Photoshop (if you use Photopea, I very much recommend this tutorial. It's very well explained!)
Go ahead and open all of your gifs once Photoshop is booted up. Then click window -> timeline
Tumblr media
Now you have a handy dandy little timeline on the bottom.
The first thing you're going to do click play and decide whether or not your gifs are running at the speed you want. If yes, move on to next step.
If not: click on the three lines -> select all frames -> little drop down arrow. You should have a variety of times available to choose. Usually, I click other, then put somewhere between 0.04 and 0.08 seconds. Click play again. If you don't like it, try this step again.
Tumblr media
If you need to crop your gif, three lines -> select all frames. Press "c" on your keyboard and crop accordingly.
4a.) Color editing
This is where things get complicated. Just remember coloring is subjective and everyone does it differently. This is just an intro to the different tools most gif makers use to alter color.
You don't have to use all of these! I definitely pick and choose depending on how I want the coloring to look. When I'm making a gif set, my coloring isn't as adventurous as when I'm making an edit. It doesn't feel worth it to give away my settings for this gifset since it changes depending on the coloring and lighting of the scene.
All of these tools can be found under "create new filter adjustment layer"
• Brightness/Contrast
This one is the easiest in my opinion. It's pretty straightforward. The more you drag brightness the right, the brighter your gif gets. The more you drag contrast to the right, the higher the contrast is.
Tumblr media
• Curves
This adjusts lighting with color values. It's another tool that's hard to explain. I just drag the little circles on the chart until it looks good
Tumblr media
• Color Balance
Like every other setting, exactly what you do with this tool is up to you. Color Balance adjusts the overall tint of your gif. I recommend editing highlights, shadows, and midtones for the best results.
Tumblr media
• Channel mixer
This one is one of the most complicated tools when making gifs in my opinion. It's best for getting rid of weird colored tints (think the blue coloring in Twilight). I'll just link a tutorial here for it. I don't make enough gifs to know how to explain it.
Tumblr media
• Selective color
Hands down my favorite tool, though not only specifically for gif making. This tool allows you to select a color (reds, yellows, greens, cyans, blues, magentas, whites, neutrals, blacks) and edit each color group. For example: my skin in photos usually has a weird red tint. I can edit the reds in my photo using this tool to make it look less abrasive.
You just play around with the different colors and bars for each color until each color group looks good. I recommend hitting the highest value to see how the color changes/what parts of the gif are affected by the change.
In the instance below, I wanted to see how magenta affected the blue colors, so I dragged magenta to 100. Now, knowing what kind of color changes magenta will make to blue, I can adjust accordingly.
Tumblr media
Messing around with the each color put me here:
Tumblr media
• Vibrance
Another pretty self explanatory tool! Vibrance and saturation bars make the gif colors more colored and vibrant.
Tumblr media
• Applying the filters to all frames
Shift click to select all the filters, and drag them above all the layers. They should now be applied to all the frames.
If not, select all frames with the three lines menu drop down like before -> click the little eye to turn off visibility, then click it again to turn it back on. You should be able to see everything now.
In order to carry the same colors from gif to gif, I take pictures of each setting and edit each filter adjustment layer accordingly. I side by side compare and make adjustments if the coloring doesn't match quite right. I'm sure there's a better way to do this, but I'm not experienced enough yet.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
4b.) Subtitles
This part isn't too bad. For subtitle text, I use Calibri. Myriad pro bold italic and Arial are also really good options though!
• Text
Go to the sidebar and select text. Drag yourself out a box approximately where you want your subtitles. Type whatever you want. If you don't like where it is, click the move tool and drag it wherever you'd like.
Here are my text settings:
Tumblr media
• Blending options
Right click your text layer and select "blending options" at the top. I edit stroke, which adds an outline. I also edit drop shadow, just because it adds a little depth to the text
Tumblr media Tumblr media
• Applying to all frames
Drag the text layer to the top, just like you did with the adjustment filter layers when coloring. The same troubleshooting applies.
5.) Exporting
I know there's other ways to do this, but this is the way that makes the most sense to me.
Select all frames on the timeline -> file -> export -> save for web (legacy) -> save
With everything together, you go from:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
To:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I had the subtitles in two parts because my first one had the subtitle in two parts (consistency).
Happy giffing!~~

Should You Turn Windows Game Mode On Or Off?
Tumblr media
You may have heard of Windows game mode and how it can affect your performance if you are not a gamer but if you are then we will be teaching you the benefits of having the game mode switched on.
What Exactly Is Windows Game Mode? Windows game mode is a special feature that is turned on by default on Windows 10 and 11 that automatically optimizes your Windows system to help the games you play get the best performance.
We know that Windows 10 and 11 are stuffed with nice user features and ways you can personalize your Windows operating system to your preferences but Windows game mode is certainly a great feature for you avid PC gamers.
What Does Windows Game Mode Optimise? When running Windows game mode it will help with several features that can interrupt your gaming:
Stops Restart Notifications Being a Windows user you will be aware that sometimes you are prompted for your Windows PC or laptop to be restarted once an update has been installed etc.
Well, having game mode turned on will stop these pesky notifications and won’t interrupt your gameplay.
Prevents Driver Updates Windows is a clever operating system in that it updates itself automatically in the background and will go out and find drivers itself to update your Windows driver.
But the issue with this is it can tax some bandwidth from your network and slow down your gaming especially if playing multiplayer games.
Not only this but it can cause your game to hang or black screen for some seconds or even freeze the game or crash it so another cool feature with having game mode on is it will stop Windows from updating the drivers while you enjoy your PC game.
Consistent Framerate Stabilization Now we all know what it is like to play one of the leading graphic card and CPU-intense games (yes we are looking at your Far Cry 6) and the framerate can bounce around depending on what other programs we have open on the Windows PC.
Limits Background Apps Resources With game mode turned on it will push all the system resources such as CPU power and RAM to your game to keep it running at its best This can help if your PC has lower-spec RAM or CPU or you have intensive programs running on your Windows such as Adobe Photoshop and Premiere Pro.
Well luckily for Windows game mode this won’t be an issue anymore on Windows 10 & 11 and it will huddle up all the resources and send them to your Game so they run nice and smoothly like they should while keeping a consistent frame rate.
Should I Turn Windows Game Mode On Or Off? If you don’t plan to use your Windows PC or Laptop then yes make sure you turn OFF windows game mode.
If you plan to use your PC for gaming then make sure you have the game mode turned ON to get the best performance from your PC games with the less interruptions.
How To Turn Windows Game Mode ON Or OFF Using Windows 10 & 11 The below steps will help you turn the game mode off and on no matter if you using Windows 10 or 11.
Press the Windows logo key on your keyboard and type “Settings” Alternatively click the Windows icon and choose Settings Type Gaming in the settings search bar Click on Game Mode Settings Now use the toggle switch to turn game mode ON or OFF
Conclusion When it comes to gaming which is one of the biggest ways to game then you will ideally want to turn gaming mode on if your PC or laptop isn’t already top of the range specced out.
We have answered everything you need to know about Windows game mode from turning it on and off, the advantages and disadvantages, and what makes game mode so cool for a free built-in Windows 10 & 11 feature.

I use this software.
It's an easy way to turn off settings in windows that you'd normally have to put a bit of effort in to find. Settings like trackers and a bunch of other stuff.
It works for windows 10
Revo Uninstaller is a great program for force uninstalling programs you couldn't uninstall otherwise. Like Microsoft Edge.
If you use it to uninstall edge and its not finding the program when you search for it, you'll have to open edge, then use the target mode which allows you to select desired programs manually.
target the opened Microsoft edge window and it'll start the process.
The cool thing about this program is that is does a hard uninstall, completely wipes out everything related to the program and it's stuff in the registry.
might I add, if you uninstall Microsoft edge, it will remove copilot as well. I've done this and it's been a few months since then I think. I've updated my laptop a few times and it hasn't come back. though if you want to avoid edge from coming back with an update, here's a vid on the more indepth process of its removal.
Something I usually do is go into my app manager or program manager window and read through what all is installed. I delete anything I didn't install myself and doesn't have a purpose. If you're not tech savvy, have a web browser open to search for programs you don't recognize. if it looks necessary, leave it alone. Usually windows is pretty good about not letting you uninstall important programs but it's good to play it safe.
Doing this whenever you notice a sudden dip in pc performance is a great way to catch unwanted programs that may have slipped in with something you downloaded recently. Paired with a good anti malware program like Malwarebytes, youre pretty much golden.
last tip.
It's a pretty good practice to Optimize and Defrag your harddrive regularly. It basically does a clean sweep of your harddrive by deleting unnecessary files.
Here's a link to instructions on how to do that. When you set about this process, you should have an option of to what degree the clean up is done (meaning what files is targeted), how regularly this process happens.
It usually deletes residual files, stuff in your downloads folder, trash folder, and stuff like that. you'll get to see what all is there when you do it before you confirm the clean up.
After doing all that, you've got yourself a nice and clean pc that should work better than it did before.
All the programs I linked to are free and can be used without paying for them.
I've been super into computers since I was kid so these are pretty solid methods of pc maintainance on the virtual side. If you have a proper box pc, and I guess if you're feeling brave enough to open up your laptop, don't forget to clean use an air duster to clean out your consul.
I promise you, nothing will help more than a clean pc and cooling fans.
i thought my laptop was on its last leg because it was running at six billion degrees and using 100% disk space at all times and then i turned off shadows and some other windows effects and it was immediately cured. i just did the same to my roommate's computer and its performance issues were also immediately cured. okay. i guess.
so i guess if you have creaky freezy windows 10/11 try searching "advanced system settings", go to performance settings, and uncheck "show shadows under windows" and anything else you don't want. hope that helps someone else.

For those who don't know, Poems & Codes is a sequel/companion game to Prose & Codes. Both games are all about cryptograms (also known as substitution ciphers, like those in the journal from Ransom of the Seven Ships)!
Tumblr media
Explore the wonderful world of poetry through deceptively simple cryptograms. Use your knowledge of the English language to decrypt 30 poem excerpts in the demo from a range of classic poetic themes (like love, death, childhood, etc).
Tumblr media
The game has a light mode & a dark mode (default), and I'm curious which one players prefer. I'm also looking to gauge how well the game is optimized on various hardware, so if you have to turn off any visual effects to make the game run better, please let me know!
Tumblr media
Once you solve a poem, you can read the poet's biography and download their anthology FOR FREE through Project Gutenberg (we will donate 10% of profits to them once the game is sold)!.
You can download the FREE demo for Windows/Mac/Linux here: https://herogameco.itch.io/poemsandcodes
Feedback of any kind is welcome! Did the tutorial make sense? Did you find the new "Select a Theme" screen intuitive? Just didn't like something about the game? Please let us know!
Post feedback on our itch message board, DM me on tumblr, email us at [email protected], or fill out our anonymous feedback survey here: https://forms.gle/nEhW7jEabrtfCiCh8
Thanks for checking it out and I hope you enjoy!

Invisible Safety Grills by Bird Net Company
What Are Invisible Grills?
Invisible grills are sleek safety systems using marine‑grade SS 316 stainless steel cables (2–3 mm diameter) tensioned within aluminum tracks—providing secure protection around windows, balconies, stairs, and terraces without obstructing your view.
Why Choose Invisible Grills?
1. Safety First
High tensile strength: Each cable supports up to ~400 kg, offering reliable protection from accidental falls.
Child & pet proof: Cable gaps are typically 2–4 inches, ensuring no small toes (or tails!) slip through.
2. Uninterrupted Views & Elegant Styling
Their minimalist design allows panoramic cityscape views intact, fitting seamlessly into contemporary architecture.
3. Rust-resistant & Long-lasting
Marine-grade SS 316 cables with protective coating resist corrosion, guaranteeing durability across coastal or humid climates.
4. Low Maintenance
Forget repainting or rust treatment—simple cleaning with a damp cloth is all they need.
5. Robust Security & Fire Compliance
The high-strength cables are hard for intruders to breach, and fire-safe design meets building codes—unlike solid, welded grills.
6. Bird Deterrence
Effectively keeps birds and pigeons out, simplifying upkeep and preserving hygiene.
7. Boosts Property Value
Enhances modern aesthetics, complies with safety norms, and appeals to potential buyers—helping raise resale value.
